Bacon sandwich was very enjoyable

the food was disgusting and the manager was very rude and abrupt a member of staff said that Leanne was more for herself than customers or colleagues

Cheap and cheerful as usual. Our prematch choice. The Lads won too, so we had a great night.

Several times now my order has been taken wrong and the food arrived without the extras that had been paid for. On the last occasion I ordered 2 mushrooms with my breakfast for an extra 93p and they only put one. Then they made me go to the bar to pay again separately for the black pudding they missed off the order. Food used to come hot but I have noticed over the last 6 months having to repeatedly return the orders as it was only luke warm. My suggestion is to always ask for a receipt, then you can verify that they have in fact got your order correct (or incorrect as the case may be).

Went on an afternoon, staff were lovely, we over ordered so passed bits to a nearby table as food arrived. Food was piping hot.

You can't go wrong with a cheap breakfast and a cuppa. As many hot drinks as you can drink for 99p small breakfast for just over £2 now that's what I call a bargain.

Visited this place about a week ago and ordered drinks to the table, I watched them do the drinks then they were put on the bar to be brought to our table, the drinks were there for around 15 to 20 minutes and were never brought to the table so I went and grabbed them myself. Quite poor service, but to say it was mid week Wednesday and through the day, too. But not a bad pub overall. Just go to the bar if you want drinks quicker, which is my advice. It may not be like that all the time, and they could have been short staffed.

That was service above and beyond, all deserve a pay rise from their boss Tim!! Well done!! Always polite service.

It's weatherspoons there litterlly all the same cheap drink cheap food but that doesn't mean it's bad just a great place to get fuel before your night put 😉

Cheap and cheerful which is what you want. Can get very busy at lunchtimes but the food is worth the wait. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.

good place to relax, but there is no sky.

Food was nice. Service was fast and friendly atmosphere was pretty dank probably should of went on a match day morning.

This place is in absolute need of a full revamp, it feels very shabby and rundown! I don't understand why so much money was spent on the "cooper rose" and not a penny on this place, when it desperately needs updating!! Drink and food prices are getting more expensive too. Staff could also do with being more polite and respectful to customers.

Staff member was incredibly rude for no reason at all. We ordered a drink but she came over saying we couldn't have that and asked what we wanted instead. We said we would have a think about it which is acceptable but she wasn't happy. She stormed off before I could ask her a question. I got up to speak to her and she was incredibly rude and defensive. All I wanted to know was if I would be getting a refund since I had been charged for 2 drinks we weren't getting. She was really nasty and didn't answer me properly but I finally managed to get an answer but I later found out she had no intention to refund me even though she said she would. She came back shortly afterwards and aggressively asked us what we wanted, we said we still weren't sure which made her make an embarrassing childish performance. She flung her body around and shook her head while making disapproving sounds then after walking a bit she turned around and glared at us. I don't understand why she lied to us about refunding us and them demanded us to buy bottle drinks instead of what she wanted. She was really pushing those bottles onto us. It was a very strange experience. That woman has some serious issues. You shouldn't take you're problems out on innocent customers.

my local spoons.. bit run down now and could do with a referb.. toilets are poor at best. a lot of the local winos and druggies get in. food we had was good and always a good selection of real ales

Ordered scrambled egg and toast with a side of mushrooms today, took its time and I received it cold. Egg looked overcooked and wasn’t prepared to try it.

Cheap enough shame about the area

I used to enjoy the food in jamesons, bit lately I've found it's not as nice to what it used to be!! The other night, I ordered two chicken and bacon melts for me and my bloke, his chicken was freezing cold in the middle while mine was just say warm with rubbery uncooked bacon covered over with cheese. I won't be ordering food from there anytime soon...

Amazing prices and really nice staff. Was pact early in the morning and couldn't find anywhere to sit but a stranger kindly let me sit with them.

Terrible experience here. Food had to be sent back then had to wait extra 20 minutes for that to come back out. When it did was all fatty could only eat half of it. " Warm" Deserts came out stone cold, no attempt to even warm them up. Coffee cold also. Just avoid this place Very Diassapointed waste of money really. Management must be shocking here.

We had a lovely meal, the food was tasty and no faults there really. There were a few tables that hadn't been cleared and we were unsure if we could sit there or not but it was quite busy so understand its hard to keep on top of it all. We had a couple people bring us over our things, someone brought us drinks and she seemed and bit fed up and put the drinks down and left a bit bluntly - it could have been a long day for her The other 2 people we had were lovely and helped us when we asked Overall it was a good experience, I know wetherspoons alter across the country, but this was up there with quality Thank you

We didn't have any food this time,but it did look nice.We were in the Sunderland area for Mt daughters graduation at the stadium of light. The pub was quite busy and staff were nice and friendly. No complaints about the place. If we get to Sunderland again then we will certainly be visiting again

You know what to expect from a wetherspoons. No thrills value for money food.. Good service and family friendly atmosphere

Must be one of Wetherspoon's worst. Is very dark and looks very dirty Tables, dirty, wet and sticky. Tables uncleared. Piles of dirty dishes at kitchen access point. Staff pushing past you without an apology. Paintwork badly in need of attention. Looks run down. Loud adults shouting at each other, children making a row and babies screaming. Very poor breakfast. Plates so hot that eggs baked on to them, yolks solid. Bacon dry as though it had been standing for a while. Hash browns oozing oil. Very few barely warm beans. Will never return.

Popped in for a couple of afternoon drinks. No food ordered, so I can't comment on it. Though having been in several Wetherspoons I would imagine it being pretty much the same. Good food at a reasonable price. Not much in the way of atmosphere, just patrons having a quiet afternoon drink and/or some food., which was fine for us.

The worse breakfast I have ever had ,deep fried ash browns , horrible ,no toms and only a teaspoon of beans , it cost me ten pound only had two bites and had to leave it

Prices for bottles of wine have rocketed in recent months and staff don't seem to know the difference between Chardonnay, Pino Gregio and whether they have a Shiraz on offer. That said wines were better than before but expensive and available at better and more comfortable venues.

I'm sorry I can only rate this 3 stars as it's Thursday but they've got no curry! That is unforgivable in my book.

Popped in for a lunchtime pint. Debbie and the team were warm and welcoming with a try before you buy option, there was a good range of 6 real ales. A busy pub with plenty of those around us enjoying the spoons food options. The toilet facilities were clean and tidy.

Lively place, a good selection of real ales, guinness at 2.49 which is ridiculously cheap. Staff all work hard

Fairly standard Wetherspoons. Decent, affordable pint with plenty of seating. Heating is usually on.

Another Spoons with great quality food and great staff. Not to be left out the beer and spirit prices.

Great staff good food and inexpensive drink. Well worth a visit.

Some staff need hygiene training. Carrying plate of food in one hand and wiping nose with other bare hand. Wiped nose several times going in and out of kitchen. Coughing over customers whilst seeving food.
