Zachos Cafe/Bistro in Sunderland

Best breakfast ive had in sunderland. After 4 hrs up A&e was very tasty. Very reasonbly priced and lovely little cafe . Even had heinz ketchup

Friendly staff, lovely venue, good food and very reasonable prices. It is opposite Sunderland Hospital, so, if you have to drop someone off and wait, Zacho's is the ideal place to wait and have a snack and/or coffee. Well worth a visit.

Staff lovely and food quality. I had a mushroom omelette and a coffee. Both of them I would certainly recommend. Nice relaxed feel about the place. I will definitely return.

I had been to the Royal Hospital across the road and decided to have a coffee. I come across the road and found this little coffee shop It's very clean, tables outside as well as in. I went to order my drink and the owner saw me going to go up the steps to order. I'm on sticks so he said"no I'll come and take your order" which was very good of him. I ordered cheese scones and coffee. Both were lovely. Scone was warm yummy... When I go to thenbhospital again I'll call here.

Arranged to meet friends for breakfast and coffee and were not disappointed in the breakfasts that were serviced to us. Also enjoyed the coffee that we were served. Owner of the cafe was helpful and efficient at all times. Can highly recommend and looking forward to our next visit in the near future.

A few friends and a baby had a wonderful catchup in this lovely little cafe. It has a lovely atmosphere. Not a posh place, but the perfect place for a bunch of friends and authentic greek coffee. Very welcomed and the costs on the menu seemed very reasonable. Look forward to ordering food next time. Good choice of music playing. Was extremely charming. Thank you! We will be back!

Called in this morning as I was early for a hospital appointment. Good coffee and nice carrot cake. Portion size excellent Prices ok Very tidy and clean cafe👍👍👍

Me and my husband have eaten here a few times now twice this week already and it's absolutely amazing. The full English is the best I've had anywhere. The staff are very friendly and very welcoming! Nice atmosphere very clean would highly recommend Thank you Zachos for you lovely food we will be back again very soon

Went in for a breakfast with my friend, the staff (man) looks so miserable. After ordered two breakfast with two teas, two teas came with small jug of milk although paid for two. And also the next ordered the breakfast but came with two harsh browns, me and my friend only had one. Overall terrible service and will never go back again.

Went there with my son whilst out delivering I had the beef bun and chips it was the worst I've ever had the beef was cheap packet water beef with cheap gravy poured all over and the fella serving the food could do with a shower all in all not a very good experience

We popped in to Zachos having been recommended as somewhere to get lunch before hospital visiting. It was very quiet. Surprisingly modern decration inside and good food. We just had a simple lunch of scrambled eggs on toast, but it was served promptly and was very nice. A good cup of tea also. Definitely a place to go for a coffee and cake or a quick lunch.

A party of 7 went for breakfast on Sunday, from arriving it was brilliant , coffee was so good and we all had full English apart from one had poached eggs , the cooked breakfast was delicious perfectly cooked and not greasy at all , the poached eggs also perfectly cooked , we all enjoyed our food and my grandson decided he wanted more sausages and this was brought straight put for him ,we had a lovely time the cafe is comfy and pleasant to relax in , if you have time try to pop in you won't be disappointed, a big thank you to you both for cooking and looking after us ,we will be back

Whilst attending the Sunderland hospital I decided to have coffee out of the hospital . Pleased I did Good coffee and a large piece of cake😳😳😳 Coffee good ,cake ok but not brilliant. Great service and low pricing

Freshly cooked food with some homemade produce provide daily. The service provide can not be faulted and well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Yes you read right, I came to this cafe after a long hard day at work I thought I would chill and grab a bite to eat, wish I hadn't. I asked the woman at the till for a cheese toastie and they brought me a coleslaw sandwich, tried to take it back but the man who works there didn't understand a word that I had said (he was foreign), won't be coming back ever again after this experience the funny thing about it, is that I'm allergic to mayonnaise haha

Search for Zachos cafe on the government web sites inc scores on the doors and this place does not exsist? Never had any hygiene inspection - not advise anyone to eat at a place that has no hygiene in place

A pal mentioned this café on Chester Road for providing a decent "Full English", he does do a very good breakfast but with a greek twist, very enjoyable. Coffee was great. You have to shout up or point at the menu because 'Zachos' is a little bit deaf. Check the menu out, he makes nice plain food but cheap and cheerful. Definitely going again next week and possibly every week after.

¡Qué descubrimiento. Zachos Café era con un café excelente comida casera y un servicio cordial. Enfrente Sunderland Hospital Real, de las tiendas y de los autobuses. Sí en el momento ajetreado puede que tengas que esperar su pedido pero merece la pena. Los precios son razonables y el desayuno griego es maravilloso! ... pero así es todo de su comida.

Absolutely amazing! What lovely coffee and wonderful service. I am always awkward ordering my coffee in a cup to go but staying in to drink it, and this is the only cafe I have ever been to where it has been served in a cup to go but with a spoon, a saucer and a little biscuit - that extra thoughtfulness really does count! A wonderful cafe that I would recommend in a heartbeat!

Si estás en la zona o sexualidad visitas ir de aquí para alegrar el día. Está administrado por la familia griego más hermosos que quieran por favor y están haciendo un gran trabajo. Teníamos con nosotros a 20 meses little boy y en cierto estilo griego nos hicieron un gran alboroto le dieron libros y mostrando él fotografías, etc. la comida, bien la comida lo que puedo decir simplemente fantástico. Los bocadillos típicos, chaquetas y los desayunos pero bella presentación. Luego los platos caseros griegos auténticos para morirse y recién hecho. Los postres también eran fabulosos y su muy razonable con griego encantadora remilgada de música en el fondo es como unas pequeñas vacaciones. Teníamos mousaka casero estaba para chuparse los servido con patatas fritas y ensalada, una pasta griega (cuesta 4,60 libras habría pagado £15 por!! ), un queso bungaloes y patatas fritas para little boy, cesta de pan, 3 refrescos, 2 zanahoria pasteles todo para 17 libras superar eso. No se exagera a menudo con comentarios pero no a menudo tienen una experiencia culinaria especial que volveremos.
