The best restaurants in Bamburgh Northumberland North East

Stopped off here for lunch on journey from Scotland. Last minute booking, restaurant closed at 4pm and we called just before 3pm but were promised a table for our arrival at 3.15pm. On arrival we were greeted in a friendly manner and promptly shown to a table. The beef roast arrived very quickly and everything was perfect, food red hot and plentiful, beef delicious, melted in the mouth. We have stayed overnight here in our Motorhome (Britstop) on several occasions and always received friendly service. Note to other Britstoppers, if you stay here please try to spend something in the restaurant and shop to ensure the overnight service continues.

Large fish was dry and overcooked. Chip below average. Threw most of it away. Complete waste of £14. Won't use chip van again - no comparison to fish n chip shops in Seahouses.

Disgusting!! We popped in for breakfast. I ordered poached eggs and ham on brown toast. My husband ordered a full English. The poached eggs!!! Should I say rock hard bouncing balls. The eggs were solid and hard boiled. All you could taste on the egg white was vinegar. Making eggs uneatable. Toast cold and no butter. Ham thin and tasted on the turn. So disappointed. Staff did not ask if everything was ok as still waiting for them to come over.

This place is just nice. That's all it had to be, not flash or posh just really good and really nice. The craster kipper sandwich is recommended, actually it's flipping awesome.

We stopped by chance at The Percy Arms for a drink and ended up eating an amazing meal-Wednesday afternoon and very quiet but the food was delicious and the service excellent. The soup was very tasty and the steak cooked to perfection - we will return!

All in all it was fine. Chips could have been done a bit more.

The waiter told me the entire menu could be adapted to be gluten free. I was in disbelief. I asked him to check. Only two main course option were gf. Nothing cooked fresh. Son’s kids burger was undercooked and had to go back. His chips were rock solid. Ordered drinks that never came. Sadly won’t return.

Usually great food but disappointed with the squid. Soggy. Normally get the lobster fries which are excellent but unfortunately didn’t have any when they opened.

A typical local village pub that serves food. Well spaced out tables in the back room. Good food, piping hot and served with a smile. Sharon, and her 2 daughters looked after us very well. Sharon always smiling a ready for a chat. Recommend.

Came for a quick snack, located in the middle of the village nice suntrap garden out the back. Service really poor. We both ordered a jacket potato, waitress came back to tell us they were out fair enough so I ordered a toastie which comes with a salad and my friend ordered a sandwich. Some time after ordering the waitress came back to advise they didn't have any salad so would have to be crisps. Then brought the wrong crisps out and in a packet rather than on the plate. Finished my toastie by the time they brought our drinks (a coke!) Despite asking twice. Wouldn't return

Best kebab i can ever remember having eaten. Really fast delivery, pleasant staff Firmed us a free garlic sauce. Bless bless

Had heard about this from friends, as good as we had been told. Very warm welcome, nice and warm, the woodburner stove was a pleasant surprise. Coffee was good and reasonably priced. Didn't eat but saw the breakfasts and will definitely be going back to try that. All in all a very nice place to meet and chat with friends.

Came in for a soft serve, we had vanilla and butterscotch was so delicious homemade soft serve I’ve ever had. Friendly service to!

We ordered food at 8.30pm on a Sunday and it was amazing, a superb roast. Brilliant beer too and great atmosphere, a really lovely pub.
