We ate here recently and they went out of their way to accommodate us and our reactive dog even though they were busy. The food and service in particular was excellent and we’d recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

We booked a table here at short notice on a weeknight and they were able to accommodate us. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and it was very good value for money. I had the classic burger, which was only £9 and came with a side of fries and coleslaw. The burger was one of the tastiest I've eaten. The staff were very friendly and great with the kids. Our meals of 2 adult mains, 2 kids mains, 2 desserts, 2 pints and 5 soft drinks drinks came to only £42 - a bargain for how good the burgers were.

Ordered food for take away this evening having heard really good things about the menu. We all opted for burgers which were banging!! Decent smash burgers are hard to find especially in our little village - these did not disappoint. Decent fries and a lovely homemade coleslaw. Great quality and decent value for money. Will definitely order again.

We have just eaten here as a family of 5 plus our dog! The welcome was wonderful, ambience great and the food was stunning. We had starters of chicken wings with Frank’s Hot Sauce (x2), chicken goujons (1 with garlic mayonnaise, 1 with sweet chilli sauce) and a nachos. Nachos were a big portion ! For main we had lasagna (complete with chips, 2 slices of garlic bread), and 4 burgers, Spicy One, classic smashed, Smashed Scottish( with haggis it was awesome) and The Buster Smash. They were sensational. The photos don’t do the amazing food justice and the team on tonight were fabulous. Highly recommended.

Visited here when staying locally for a trip to Holy Island. The food was lovely and arrived very quickly. I had the "let's get smashed" smash burger and my Aunties both had scampi. Three clean plates and smiles all round. The staff were friendly and polite (especially the blonde lady whose name we didn't catch) at every interaction. Bonus: the restaurant side of the pub is dog friendly as well so we got to pet an adorable shih-tzu.

After some more recent positive reviews decided to give The Salmon a try so called to book a table for 19:00, Staff asked if we could come sooner as sounded like they were busy (good sign?) so obliged and changed our plans to accommodate. On arrival was obviously not busy and atmosphere very 'local' with the odd outburst of choice language....didn't bother us too much. Ordered a beer (decent) and a tonic water which was definitely not decent and tasted like fairy liquid, clearly dispensed from hose tap, mixture of lemonade and soda water. Asked for replacement and was made to feel uncomfortable and fobbed-off with various excuses (slimline etc.) instead of an apology. Food was either pizzas or burgers which were OK and good value for money - burger £8. But if you fancy something else - don't bother, unless you want a large portion of gammon coming from the front bar!!! Popped in the Black Swan later and wished we'd booked here instead

In Belford's embrace, where Northumberland's grace, The Salmon Inn resides, a charming place. With walls of stories, whispers of old, A haven of warmth, and stories yet untold. The scent of salmon lingers in the air, And laughter fills the corners with care. Cosy hearths beckon, and friends do gather, To share in moments that forever matter. In beautiful Northumberland's embrace, The Salmon Inn stands, a cherished space. A refuge for travelers, a local's delight, Where memories dance through the night. Visited whilst staying in Belford village the staff are great, the building however is very tired and needs a refurb, some of the clientele are also a bit dubious. One very important thing if you are staying in Belford is that nowhere serves food on a Monday a fact we discovered to our peril, thank goodness for the Coop on West St.Back to the Salmon, the menu is somewhat limited i tried Fish and Chips which was very well cooked my wife had Lasagne and my Daughter the Burger both said they were good - with starters and a round of drinks it was £58 which wasnt the cheapest but when in Rome etc....

Booked a table here as stayed at the campsite down the road. Menu was just standard pub food but there wasn’t anything for vegetarians. Dog friendly. But the food was a disappointment I’m sorry to say. I hate it when places use frozen chips, what’s wrong with actual potatoes? And the fish and chips, sadly that fish was not fresh, it had definitely been frozen, it was watery as hell. Not my kind of place I’m afraid, though the other reviews and photos made out it was pretty decent. Sorry guys

Sorry I have to say the food we had here was very poor. The so called “chicken burger” was just some plain unseasoned chicken slapped on a bun with a bit of lettuce! It wasn’t a burger. The chips I had with some Lasagne were nearly black, no joke. I suspect the oil was old and hadn’t been changed for a while as they weren’t crispy either.Such a shame ☹️

They hosted a group dinner for approximately 40 people that they couldn't manage at all. The pizza was older than Lord Armstrong himself. I don't think the 'stew' can actually be defined as stew, just beef and mushrooms with gravy. Half of us finished our mains before the other half were served, and the restaurant obviously tried to serve us all at once. The service was just extremely slow. They also lost the main one of our group had ordered. One person ordered a gluten free cheesecake and the restaurant didn't actually have it. Half the times we went to the bar for drinks it was unattended.
