Usually eat at Lewis's in Seahouses when we're in the area but fancied a change on such a nice and sunny Saturday evening. We were lucky enough to arrive during a very brief but welcome lull in the queue and only had to wait for about 10 minutes to be served. Really good fish and chips, and reasonable value. Managed to snag a table on the green to eat at too which was fortunate as others were sitting on the grass. Folks who run the van were really friendly even though they were working absolutely flat out for hours on end. Will return again when in fabulous Northumberland.

A clean van, friendly staff, quick service, delicious fish and chips. As good as I have had at places that were a lot more expensive.

Truly excellent fish and chips. I wouldn't normally buy from a roadside van, but this one is iconic. Lovely and fresh, crispy battered fish with no bones, and lush curry sauce. I ate mine on the beach in a rare evening of sunshine. Perfect!

What an absolute Gem! Myself and my partner waited till the van opened at 4pm and was greeted by a man who I could only assume was the owner. We were advised that the chips were being put in now as we had approach abit earlier than 4pm. After great banter we were handed over the large portion of cod and chips. We couldn't decide between mushy peas and curry sauce so ordered both with a can of coke. The batter was light and crispy with the fish cooked to perfection. The quantity of chips, fish and both sauces filled both of us and was very generous. Best fish and chips I've ever had! Thank you very much for your food and service cant wait to be back with family for them to experience your tasty food 😊

Really beautiful fish and chips tonight. Haddock was fresh and tasty. Loads of chips and great Mushy peas. Cant fault them in any way. Will be using them again. Better than the Seahouses establishments.

The queue can be quite long at times, which is testimony to the quality. Portion size is average, especially when you take into account the cost. That said, the taste is very good when you get them. It’s worth a visit , especially if you’re in Beadnell for some time, as there’s not many other eateries there.

Simply superb!! Everything was cooked to perfection and the batter was the best I’ve had. We’re hoping to have haggis and chips before we leave. 5*

We had fish and chips here for the first time on an evening in October, and it was brilliant! Excellent batter on the fish, beautiful flakey fish, cracking chips, what's not to like?! Definitely my new go to fish and chip place in the area.

Not vegetarian or vegan friendly as they cook in beef dripping. Surprised about this as it’s a busy touristy part of the coast. When I asked what they cooked in and was told beef dripping, that was that. Shame they don’t have a veggie or vegan option.

Sceptical of a fish and chip van, but after a long beach day in a Sunday and little else in the area this is what we needed. Fish was huge and not too heavy batter, chips were lovely but not that many compared to the fish. Curry sauce pretty spicy, thick and fruity. Although not all the response of the chip van, we were disappointed that they had not provided a rubbish bin, there are some in and around the green which the van is situated, but they were mostly full with rubbish from the chip van rubbish, just from a community point of view I would think it would be in the interest of this business to act responsibly. Great food for a quick fish and chip supper.

The best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The batter on the fish was beautifully crispy and the fish was a lovely flavour and texture. The battered sausages were also very good. Crisp, plump chips too. Can’t fault the food. Do check the opening times before you plan and also go early or else expect to queue. It’s very popular as it’s so good!

Ate here last Friday on spec. And what a good decision it was too - two lovely portions of fish and chips, perfectly cooked - and I had the best chip shop style curry sauce I’ve ever tasted as accompaniment. Ate them on a nearby table and bench straight out of the packet. Delicious - nuff said!

Queues were huge so we thought this was going to be good - no gluten free option, so we bought mince from the shop along the road and made burgers back at the house . The chips from here were good, but the fish was bony and when we got nearer to the front of the queue we realised that the van holding the produce (fish and chips) was open to the elements, not really covered, and flies were everywhere - not very hygienic. Not sure we’ll be back

Our holiday house was opposite this van. We did not expect lots with it being a van but it was the nicest fish and chips. We are three generations of a family and we all loved the fish and chips, haggis and chips, kids chicken nuggets, peas and curry sauce. We enjoyed it so much we went twice!

Visited 6pm so would have hoped for quality produce. Fish completely dried out and 2 large bones in first mouthful. Had to ask for forks,no napkins given. Curry sauce handed over running down sides of container. Can still taste the grease 2 hours later. Wish we'd gone to the fabulous Neptune in Seahouses as planned but decided to give this place a go as reviews seemed good?!?Both our meals ended up in the bin. Feel done out of our usual fab fish suppers!

Visited twice over our week at Beadnell C&CC. Advertises as boneless fish, not true. On both occasions I had a minimum of 5 bones. Yes, I’m fussy; yes, I have a complex about bones. When a place advertises itself as “boneless”, that is exactly what I expect. Fish was delicious, chips really good, curry sauce fruity on 1st visit and mushy peas good on 2nd. Positive all round outside of bone-gate!

Never tried the food went off Trip Advisers opening time on Sundays of 12:00pm to 8:00pm but real opening time is 4:0pm. Too bad and they are missing a lot of business watched plenty of cars pull up then drive back to Seahouses. Seems like a Sunday lunchtime is a money maker.

Don't disregard this. Large and regular skinless cod fillets cooked to perfection. Excellent value. And quality. Would visit again. V popular...deservedly so.

A little gem that was a real life-saver when it came to feeding eight people on one of our nights at Beadnell. Nothing too fancy (though they did offer haggis and chips) but what they do offer is spot on! Two things to be aware of… get there early in the evening or be prepared to queue and they do run out of stuff (only one chicken portion left when we got to the front and a lack of lids for the gravy and peas containers though this wasn’t too much of a problem in the end. Despite this it got a thumbs up from all of us!

Arrived on holiday Saturday, saw the van & decided that we would have fish & chips. Very friendly staff, cooked whilst you wait , even gave our dog some batter. Would definitely recommend, we had some last yr when we were on holiday in june

This same chippy van is in Embleton on a Thursday. Cheerful staff & fresh cooked food. The fish, as you might expect in this area, was really tasty - and the batter was very good too. Average chips - a wee bit undercooked, but ok.

The best fish and chips around the Beadnell area, Old School cooked in lard and all the tastier for it, the guys working inside should get a medal for working in that heat

We had fish and chips from this van. The fish was very fresh and perfectly cooked. The chips were pretty ordinary chips. I would have liked them to be a bit crisper, but they were exactly what most decent chip shops would serve.
