Great supper. In fact the best fish and chips I’ve had all year!!

Great meal - well cooked and reasonably priced. Excellent service and there seemed to be a really good team spirit amongst the staff. Loved the atmospherevin the pub. 10/10

only went for a meal which I thought was ok a bit expensive for what you got especially the dessert but the one thing was dogs were we were eating which I did not know iam not against dogs in pubs but not were you are sitting having a meal barking and slavering all over the place not for me I am afraid not be back

Me and the family tried The craster arms for the first time last night it was absolutely gorgeous! Staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious. Service was also fairly quick. As for the outdoor dining area, we chose to sit in one of the sheds they have. Great idea if you want a bit of privacy but still want to be amongst the atmosphere. Dead cosy and such a wonderful and unique idea! I had the seafood linguine and it was by far the best I’ve tried. The portions were generous and there was plenty to choose from on the menu! Think this will be a go to pub for us from now on whenever we’re up at the coast. Thank you😊

A very lively pub, efficient service and excellent pies. Very busy even on a Tuesday, probably best to book a table.

Absolutely amazing food and amazing staff. We went there three times whilst we were there on holiday. Lots of gluten free choices which were the same size as the normal options. The Sunday roast had lots of meat. Excellent value for money. My personal favourite meal was the pork belly, which just broke up with a fork. The flavours were amazing. Recommended for everyone.

Booked for a birthday meal for 4 people. Very busy on arrival and good atmosphere, however despite being shown to our seats quickly our food had still not arrived 45 mins later with no communication from the waitress. We finally got the attention of the waitress who said there was a big table before us to be served and then us. With over an hour’s wait for food that was pretty mediocre when it arrived in comparison to previous visits, disappointing is an understatement! The chicken Caesar salad was particularly poor - I think they had taken a trip to Aldi to purchase a packet of sliced roast chicken breast to add rather than a freshly cooked sliced chicken breast I had expected. We were then avoided with no-one checking with us how the food was (that I had noticed happening on other tables). Interestingly the tables either side who had only just arrived got their food 10 mins after we got ours. A really bad experience for us all - 20% knocked off the bill which was appreciated but not really making up for our loss of a fantastic meal experience - will not return.

Wayne was extremely helpful getting us set up with a room for the night after we made a mistake in booking our accommodations. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a place to sleep for the night. And we really enjoyed our night at the hotel! Bed was very comfortable.

Had an amazing fish & chips and one of the best burgers, very enjoyable meal out.

The service was slow and the food was disappointing. I opted for the pie. I suppose I was expecting an individual pie. It was a slice. The filling was OK, but the pastry was as hard as a tortoise shell. My wife did not enjoy the fish and chips.

We walked in without booking and saw that many inside tables were already reserved but was fortunate to get a nice table with space for the dog, the meal was delicious and would definitely recommend and return when in the area

We ate at The Craster Arms on the last night of our holiday. The team managed to find us a table even though they were busy, with a quick response to our online booking enquiry. Lovely food - we had burgers, fish and chips and pie - everyone enjoyed their meals. Friendly and efficient staff. Would recommend!

We come here every year during our 2 weeks stay at Beadnell. The garden, bar, food, staff and their service are absolutely excellent - thanks, a pleasure to be back !!!

Called in for drinks, decided to have food, staff were very friendly and welcoming, sat outside in garden which is well set out with our 2 dogs .When food came it was amazing,I had the crispy belly pork very tasty,would definitely recommend whatever food you choose, also drink was spot on.

Very sad to have to write this but I was having a bar meal with friends (all ladies in 60s and 70s). After finding what appeared to be a long hair in the pie of one of our meals. I pointed it out to a waiter to tell him. He approached the manager (Andreas) who, looked over to us then took his time getting to us. He eventually agreed there was something in the food and took the meal away. He came back to tell us it was a long thread from a carrot and did offer a new meal but having been (understandably) put off, my friend just asked for fresh chips and gravy. On getting the bill, later, he took off £3.50 of the £17.50 meal. I asked again for the manager and pointed out that we were essentially paying £14 for chips and gravy which I didn't think was a fair price. He then started to argue about the percentage of the pie my friend had eaten before discovering the 'hair'. He claimed she had eaten 75% (not true) as though we were trying to cheat him into getting a cheap meal! We were fully expecting to pay for the food she had but to be honest I would have expected him to be more apologetic. I am actually disgusted by his attitude and will not be returning.

Fish and chips was awful. Soggy batter and fish tasted like supermarket fish after 3 days in freezer.

Visited on a Saturday evening during school holidays and it was packed. There are a couple of nearby caravan parks. Had to queue at the bar for about 20mins to get our drinks. Large beer garden with a band playing, we were lucky to get a couple of chairs. £14.90 for a pint and a large rose is about average. Did not have food but it looked really good albeit not the cheapest. This is a decent pub albeit very busy during holiday periods.

We came here for dinner with friends. They gave us one of the cabins in the garden. The food was good and the attention to detail from the staff was superb. .

Came for a meal on a Friday night and our experience was absolutely tremendous. The classic beef burger meal was probably the best I’ve ever had of its kind. Service was top drawer too, very quick and efficient. Would recommend this to anyone in the area.

I didn't stay here so I can't comment on the accommodation but I did eat here. I had fish,chips and mushy peas.. paper on the plates with mushy peas is not a good idea as the paper ends up mushy too! The batter was nice but the fish was pretty tasteless the last quarter of fish was hard and rubbery ( the dog didn't mind though ) chips were fine. All in all been there done that !

All credit to the bar staff, ordered a pint. Turned out cloudy. The staff refused to serve the pint as they insisted only serving good ale. Tried twice to pull a good pint and when the ale didn't clear, took the ale off. Customer care above and beyond, putting customer first. Thank you.

6 adults, 1 child and a dog all ate here. We pre-booked and glad we did as it was packed when we arrived. We were able to sit in one of the garden huts outside which worked great as it was a nice day and live music outside.

Went for a lunchtime meal had the fish,chips and peas with homemade tartare sauce, what a lovely meal and drinks make sure you are hungry before ordering as our two dogs had to help us to eat it all Well done the Craster inn we will return

Stayed overnight here and very happy with the experience. Lovely room unfortunately we had the kitchen extraction fan outside the window , it was a little noisy but stopped approx 11pm so no problem sleeping. We ate outside in the garden , the food was great and there was table service for drinks as well , superb atmosphere . A lot of people had dogs with them but that wasn’t a problem for us. Breakfast was good , served by a lovely lady who couldn’t do enough for you . One little gripe the baked beans were luke warm at best ….a big no for me ! Overall a great stay and will definitely return but with a different choice for breakfast lol.

Don’t order pork belly starter, £11.50 for this. Was told this is the usual portion and it was a mouthful at best. Expect better for £11.50.

They clearly have a quality head chef at this venue. I thought it was above average for country pub. Had the steak pie which was excellent and the muscles. The muscles were as fresh as I have had them. Large and succulent with a lovely marinier sauce. Excellent food that was value for money. The waitress was also very good. She obviously knew we were sharing the dishes ( as a mid afternoon snack/ meal) and brought two plates without is even asking. We have eaten at every restaurant in Beadnell and this is by far the best Well done to all. Good management and a good team. You won’t be disappointed at this venue.

We had numerous meals here during our week in Beadnell. One Saturday night with friends and doggos in a pod in the garden - very good with excellent service from Jade. GF well catered for. And the pies are to die for. We then brought our parents for a Sunday evening meal and managed to get a pod again. Jade was on duty and looked after us very well. 2 Sunday dinners with all the trimmings, fish and chips (my father was very happy) and the fish medley - lovely. We had 2 more visits with our 2 black labs and each time thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Special thanks to Andreas who remembers us every time we visit and waved hello when we saw him out and about. Great place with lovely staff and very good food

We called at the Craster Arms for lunch after our 7 mile walk from Embleton. We sat in the Cradter Arms garden and the staff were very obliging in putting up a sun canopy for shade for our two dogs. Our meals were very nice and the staff were very helpful and polite.

Did not stay at the Craster Arms but used the restaurant and I was disappointed. We had the pie which was a portion from a large pie. The pie was severed and was bearly warm and had soggy bottom and could taste the flour and fat. The vegetables were limited with plenty of red cabbage but only 4 pea pods. Service would have been 5 but whilst asking for desert never received a menue. This is pub grub at high end restaurants prices Kitchen needs to step up to do better. Note, I used to work in a Kitchen.

We popped in here for some dinner on Tuesday 25th June . We were so disappointed as I ordered a jacket potato with coronation chicken and my partner ordered a burger with chips. When it arrived my jacket looked good until I tasted it. The filling was like no other coronation I'd ever had or made myself, it was super sickly and overpowering (repulsive infact). The potato itself was like a manufactured one it wasn't pleasant at all. I ate about three mouthfulls and left it. Nobody checked our table to ask if everything was ok or would we like any desserts or anything. I really should've taken meal back to bar. My partner had a burger with chips in a basket and even that was very underwhelming. There was no salad garnish, coleslaw or anything else decorating the plate HONESTLY!!! Who in their right minds would pay top dollar for an evening meal that wouldn't even satisfy the smallest of appetites.Two pints later a young chap came to clear table and I explained about the jacket potato. He spoke to the chef and asked if we would like some more food I said no thanks and he gave me a free drink. The prices here for food are steep but the food is substandard. On the plus side if I was just reviewing the bar itself I would give this review five stars as the bar is lovely and a great outside seating area with sports screens . Not only that but a lot of attention to the decor has been taken and the flower pots are beautiful.

Just spent the perfect Summer's afternoon, listening to Millie and co in the beer garden, drinking cider. Staff were superb, keeping everyone topped up in the garden. The best onion rings we've ever had too. Thank you. Andy and Deb, all the way from Dorset!

Last night ate in the pub. WHY OH WHY DO OWNERS OF DOGS THINK ITS ACCEPTABLE TO ALLOW THEIR DOGS ON THE SEATS??

Great pub - great meals (good quality pub grub) - great atmosphere - friendly staff and dog friendly. Wonderful sheltered beer garden and covid safe. Whats not to like! The drinks are great too!

We booked a table for 6.30 with our grandson, promptly shown to our table and orders taken soon after, grandson had scampi, no complaints from him. Myself & my husband both had ribeye steak, it was full of fat and a real disappointment, then to really top the disappointment off, we received our bill which should have been just under £80 but there were several other items added to it which took the amount to just under £150, over £70 added for items that we did not have. Pointed the mistake out to a waitress, who rectified the matter with a new bill, to then go to the bar to pay said bill and the young bar man was quite rude and asked if we were only paying part of the bill so then had to explain to him what had happened. No apology or anything from them. Will not return.

Good range of beers for all tastes, great service. The good was fantastic I had the chicken burger with jalapeños and goats cheese and it was so tasty. Definitely worth a visit!

Out for her berthdi tea ! Staying locally, had eaten nearby but wasn’t thrilled. This place was most excellent. Family run, all staff were friendly and attentive. Fizz served to start, shared garlic bread as a starter. 2 of us had the pie, steak was excellent and very tasty, one had the chicken and leek and reported as excellent and full of chicken. Pork belly had tempted me but I swerved, friend had that and said it was most excellent. Crackling was superb. Berthdi gal had an adapted starter a fishcake, they slung some chips and vega with it. Shared a pud - lovely salted caramel ice cream and honeycomb, finished with coffee. Our dog loved it, met loads of new friends and then settled under the table. So refreshing to see so many folks out with their 4 legged pals - they are part of the family after all.

Very popular place. The food was delicious (mushroom stroganoff). Plenty of staff, who were very attentive. Highly recommend.

Last visited a few years back and had a good meal and decent time, what a disappointment as the quality of food is way down from previous visit despite that the place was fairly busy. Shame as we had such a good time last visit.

We booked a table for early evening and arrived to find the place rammed. It took 15 mins to get anyone's attention to seat us. Once we had a table the service was good and the food excellent but they need a Maitre De!

Had a meal in here we both ordered the beef burger which came with bacon and cheese the burger was a good size the chips were done just right we also ordered a side portion of onion rings and aside portion of homemade coleslaw to share the onion rings were clearly home done and huge the coleslaw was clearly home done as well and was one of the nicest coleslaw we have ever had I had a double grey goose orange with lemonade and hubby had a pint of thatchers cloudy lemon total price just over £54 we left stuffed and thought the price was a tad high the double grey goose and lemonade was £9.25 we know grey goose is a premium brand but still think it was a tad high the pub is clean staff friendly and beer garden huge

Good food and atmosphere. All very well priced too. Serious downside for me is all the dogs in the pub/restaurant. I'm allergic to fur and honestly cannot understand why we need to allow dogs in places like this. Understand the love of animals though. Eatery recommended if you have no issues with either dogs or fur.

Nipped in for a quick half while out on a walk, the beer garden is a real sun trap, when the sun's out!

Lovely pub in the centre of Beadnell, it clearly is the place to go if you are staying close by. This can have its drawbacks and get very busy at times so think ahead and book. Food is always great, service is great, price is what you would expect for a prime location pub and restaurant.

Staying close by not at this establishment. There was band playing really good music outside in the garden area. We decided to stay for food.

Meal portions dont match the prices £17 for fish and chips fish was the kiddies size from local chippy, not impressed compared to a previous visit also not homemade chips, frozen from the taste of them

Stayed one night. Good atmosphere in bar. Breakfast very good. Room bigger than I thought it would be. Great stay. Didn't eat there.

The service was quick and the atmosphere was good as the tables were spaced out enough. The food was good for most of us but the duck that was ordered was clearly gone off so we were given it for half price. Apart from that it was skibidi 👍

Just eaten tonight main meal ok we ordered a desert and after 45 mins left and asked why this had not come only to be told it had not been ordered by the waitress and did not go through to the Kitchen no very happy with this answer

Stayed here overnight in a campervan. Small carpark, so arrive early if you are planning a campervan trip. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. 9 mins drive to Bamburgh Castle

Sat in the garden on a warm easter Sunday, had the most delicious onion rings and fish finger sandwich, biggest fish fingers I've ever seen!!

Great little country pub, However, if you're not from the Area or "Posh enough" do not visit, The pub was great, Lovely atmosphere for 90% of the night and it's got a great beer garden in a great location. However, me and my friends were staying in the village and we decided to visit the Crasters Arms. we spent a couple of hours here and everything was great, Expensive pints but you can expect this from a pub in this area. Once it got to about 9pm and the pub had settled down, My friend decided to order another round at the bar. He must of took about 2 sips before a seperate barmaid came over and aggressivly asked us to leave, We mentioned that we had just ordered a drink and we were going to drink it before we left. The barmaid "India" got very aggressive and started shouting at us to leave, however we had just been served a drink by someone else 2 minutes prior, On top of this, Her boyfriend was also getting very aggressive towards us and threatening us to leave. We felt singled out and discriminated just because we were not northern, and from the local area. We thought we would be nice and leave the pub so we drank as fast as we could. Once we decided to leave the pub, we were called all sorts of names by the barmaid and her boyfriend. This was when the barmaid decided to grab my friends phone and throw it outside. Luckily it landed on the flower bed so there was no damage. To sum up, We were mocked by the locals (AKA the barmaids Boyfriend) just because we were not from the area. During this, He was also trying to wind us up about how he was aloud to stay and have another drink whilst we were forced to essentially neck our drinks, So if your local its a great pub but if your not then dont come here. Edit: Repsonding to the owner, I have uploaded a screenshot from the video of which the phone was grabbed by the staff, However I will not upload this as I do not wish to reveal the identities of these individuals as I wish to take this no further, However I am entintled to leave my opinion of this pub just as anyone else is. This also serves as proof that I have visited this pub as I am sure the bar is reckonisable in the background. However, I do not appreciate claims by the business mentioning "Defamation of character". It would have been more professional to have an alternative approach such as firstly apologising and investigating further before making these allogations.

Very disappointed. TL;DR: ignored us for a very long time, then lied about comp’ing the late (very average) food. Arrived 7:30, starters were with us by 7:45 as was our 3yr olds main. They were ok - nothing to write home about but pleasant enough. 40 minutes after our plates had been cleared, as our son was fully finishing his and getting restless (well past his bedtime), we finally managed to get the attention of one of the wait staff. “Oh sorry the mains will be here in 5 mins” they said; 8 mins later a waitress came over and asked if we were all finished. We asked her to cancel the mains and bring us the bill, suddenly the mains appeared “but we’re incredibly sorry and we’ll remove them from your bill -‘it’s up to you if you want to eat them but you don’t need to pay for them”. We were starving so ate them as fast as we could while managing a bored 3 year old - again, I’m sure you could do worse, but we certainly would t be writing a review about how amazing they were. Bill eventually turned up, they’d just taken off 20% of the food price - no further apology or explanation, different staff sent to deal with it. Too tired to argue, but the lie really poured salt on the wound.

The food and service here are outstanding. Our group of six met up on two consecutive days for dinner, and no-one was disappointed. The fish and chips are highly recommended. I'd say it was the best fish I've ever tasted. Large and meaty with a perfect crispy batter it was devoid of any grease. The Thai curry went down well. Staff are pleasant and accommodating, and there's a wide selection of craft beers on offer. This is a dog friendly pub, and it's very noticeable, so it is best avoided if you're not happy sharing your space with our four-legged friends.

Expensive (£19 for liver and mash, for instance) but very good gastropub food, and plenty of it. Veggie/vegan options limited. Nice, lively atmosphere and very dog-friendly.

Lovely food. I had the Lamb's Liver, my wife had the Tuna Melt Panini. Nice beer too.

Great venue went on Tuesday had the Liver and black pudding with onion gravy worth every penny. Also went on the Thursday steak night me and the wife had the ribeye along with the bottle of wine brilliant selection the flavours on both meals were 5 star thank you for 2 fantastic meals all the staff work so well and very helpful hope to come back soon thank you for 2 lovely meals 👍👏👏👏👏

Perfect if you’re in Beadnell with your dogs. We have two large golden doodles and there was ample room for them inside .Really dog friendly nothing too much trouble for the staff 10/10

A lovely place where you get the warmest of welcomes. The food is good - we had gammon, pineapple, egg and chips followed by bread and butter pudding and vegan pasty with minted peas, totally-lush-homemade-brown-sauce and fat chips. All yummy and good value. The local beer was pretty good too!

Lovely pub, great atmosphere, we stayed in the car park in a camper, arrived about 4pm and got the last spot so very busy, gorgeous food and lovely dessert, good selection of beers and gin, left the toilets open for campers to use all night which was a nice touch, one of the waitresses was rude but the rest of the staff were lovely, a little on the dearer side but worth it, very dog friendly

Check your receipt, I was charged nearly 36.00 more because I paid for my drinks separately, so it was food on receipt, but they had put the drinks on it as well.

We were stopping in a holiday let about a 5/6 minute walk from this place and it proved to be very handy. We all had lunch on a Sunday, my meal was really good, but one or two of our party weren't so enamored, but overall pretty happy. We were a sizable party which wouldn't have helped, but for the purpose of this review, I'll go with my meal; the thai red curry, very nice. There were a couple of decent beers available, a must for the three of us that would return a further 3 more times just for drinks. It's a biggish place and has a great atmosphere when it's full, which it was most of the time we were there. It's dog friendly and there would have been 7+ of them when we first arrived, all extremely well behaved, adding to the atmosphere as far as I'm concerned. The staff were all lovely.

Spent a wonderful.long weekend with our 2 Mini Scnauzers.Staff were so friendly and helpful. Manager is a great guy. Generous and helpful. Appartment was a home from home..spotlessly clean, cosy and little extras made it feel special. Sea was wild! Food was outstanding, we are well travelled and it was 5 star . Log burners n beer gardens too.Can we move in please ? Xx

We had lunch and went to steak night. Food was amazing! Steak night value unbelievable. Staff lovely. Totally comfortable with 2 dogs. We will definitely be back!

Breakfast staff and chef where very rude and where talking about us in the kitchen. (Chef "glad I didn't wake up before 6am to just serve 2 people") Will not be returning which is a shame because the evening team and fantastic.

Went for Sunday lunch. Got off to a bad start. One of us is wheelchair bound and the parking is all gravel which makes it difficult for him in an electric wheelchair. The staff kindly opened the double rear door to allow easier access, but some half wit complained about the cold until i abruptly told him we've a wheelchair to get in, then he shut his mouth somewhat embarrassingly. Service was great and the food was tasty but there just wasnt enough choice of veg. I had beef which was delicious 2 roast potatos mashed sweet potato, red cabbage, carrots and a Yorkshire pud. For £16 i expected more veg. I wasnt keen being surrounded by dogs either. Sniffing around me as i was eating. All in all tasty food but not enough and not worth the money. 2 of us had a desert and inc drinks the bill was over £100.
