we will NEVER go back there !! it was once a lovely place for food. unfortunately, under this ownership, standards a slipped way beyond acceptable !! our 'food' took an hour to arrive. we sent our chips back because they were raw. they were returned, dripping in grease and STILL raw !! if a chef can't cook chips, then you're in trouble. the couple next to us left half their carvery, saying it was bland. another customer asked if he could have his carvery reheated in the microwave as it was served cold !! that just sums the place up. NO apology NO offer of refund NOTHING 😡

So, I have stayed here and many Premier Inns previously. My room was perhaps not quite as good as last time - of course they all look similar. Having travelled 5 hours from Wales we (Dad, Twin brother) were cream crackered - so we were a bit disappointed we had to wait for 20 mins in reception whilst check in started (a bit rigid). Yes, we could have paid a bit more for an early check in. Anyway, we spent early check in on a coffee instead. For us the location was great - we were visiting our departed brother and the cemetery was only a few minutes by car. God bless you Simon ❤️🩹

We order quite alot from here and have never had to complain once. The staff are lovely and the food is amazing!! We ordered last night and the staff mentioned we were the first to try the new salt and pepper chicken, we would love to say it was delicious and should definitely be kept on the menu. Continue with your amazing work guys!!

Visit this pub frequently with family and live in forest hall. It’s a lovely pub and we always call in for a drink on a nice day when walking the dogs. They’re friendly and welcoming to all of us, and we always get what we want. It’s a pub, so you get what you bargain for - we normally get two pints of Stella, and large glass of wine and a fruity cider of some sort. We usually get like snacky food to share, nothing too high end. Anybody giving this pub a low rating, for honestly can’t understand why (unless they really dislike dogs). There isn’t a waiter, it’s all bar service, but it’s honestly lovely and always and the staff are always more than happy to help

Always good food but the only let down is the promise of “chicken balls” in the set meal. They should be renamed batter nibbles as they were about the size of a thumbnail and didn’t contain any chicken.
