I frequently come to this pub and have always had a wonderful experience. The food is always of a really high standard, the management always go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome in their pub!

Fantastic pub. The food was spot on, the staff were so friendly and we had a great night. Also have been on quiz nights and have never laughed so much! Thoroughly recommend!

What a warm and friendly bunch of people who really care about their customers. We had great service and a lovely warm welcome from the manager and waitress. They were really acommodating to our needs and checked that everything was OK. We will definitely return.

Dog friendly pub in a nice location. Some of the staff were a little... standoffish - but not all of them so maybe it was a bad day for that person. The food was super tasty and reasonably priced! Lovely outdoor seating area too.

Lovely pub friendly staff . Food was nice but I am a vegetarian the options were limited like alot of pub menus but I did like that you could choose between lunch and dinner size portions .Will be popping in again .

Wednesday evening drink, quiet time on Wednesday at 9pm

We booked a table to eat at 7.30pm last night and turned up at 7.20pm. We got seated decided on what we were eating and went up to the bar at 7.25pm to order. The girl behind the bar told me they were packing up the kitchen but she would ask if we were OK to order food. She went away and came back and said they had to turn ovens etc. back on as they'd turned everything off but we were OK to eat. I was made to feel like an inconvenience. What made it worse was when one of the kitchen staff came out looking rather miffed and said quite loudly in front of me, "This is the last order as we aren't prepared to get the kitchen going again". Quite unprofessional. When the food did come it was good. I ordered a mixed grill. However I was just told "we don't have any eggs" without being offered an alternative as I did pay for it. This is a good pub and the food is good but may I suggest you give your kitchen staff a bit more customer service training??

At the end of June, my colleagues and I visited(we are from South Korea). The food was served quickly and the fish and chips I tried for the first time were really delicious. The staff were especially friendly, and one of them, Ali, was very impressive. She is so kind peron.!!!!! I still can't forget it. Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to Ali for being kind to me and my colleagues.

Booked a table online for the football match, arrived to be told that no tables had been reserved because the manager forgot. Manager was apologetic but no free drink or anything was offered. Would have been better if she'd phoned to tell us in advance so that we could of tried to get a table elsewhere.

Food was very nice and came quickly, the majority of staff were very nice and welcoming. The other people in the restaurant were also nice and it was a good environment to be apart of. However, the waiter serving us (Joseph) was very ignorant and had a bad attitude when we requested sauces to go with our food.

It was very expensive I thought I had a child's portion of scampi and chips,but it was £9 50 !!!!

It is an amazing place to spend time with friends and wonderful managers and staff. We always have a laugh. The Thursday night quiz is brilliant and so much fun.

Very disappointed, no atmosphere the place needs a revamp, friendly barman.wont be going back.

Great little pub. It's well decorated. Good choice of beers and food. The snacks behind the bar are great. Friendly staff. We enjoyed the tables in the front, a beautiful day in the sun.

Popped in for Sunday lunch. Luckily it was early and we were able to get in without a reservation but booking is advised. The food was lovely and the staff were really welcoming. Great place to go if you have a dog too 🙂 will be back.

Nice pub grub with a chilled, cosy and calm atmosphere (Wednesday evening). No complaints about the food and only £14 for two courses (Mon-Wed 5pm>) chocolate pudding was very good. Service was spot on and friendly - quick with food and drinks. Cutlery/tables and glasses seemed clean. We enjoyed our evening 👍 would recommend.

There were 14 in our group for a pre Christmas dinner. It was absolutely delicious. We had various meals and the steaks were to die for. The service and staff were so helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend this for meals. Thank you all very much 👏👏👏👍

A quiet afternoon nipped in for chicken strips and gravy YUM... had a jar of finest guest cider before moving on home...lush pub also decorated in a Halloween theme ...spoooooky!

Really nice place for a drink and a bite to eat. We had lunch here today and all of it was fantastic.... welcoming staff, food arrived quickly - cooked perfectly and nicely presented. The burger was ace. Dog friendly, they gave us water for our dog. Spot on.

Staff always friendly and service is fast!

Firstly. I cannot fault this pub for its ambience, drinks, friendliness of staff, selection of drinks. 5 stars for that. The food, on the other hand is shocking. And way overpriced for what is or at least tastes like frozen, mass produced food. We had a pizza which was clearly a frozen pizza of very questionable quality; it was also under cooked and cold in the middle. My partner had lasagne which could not have looked less appetising if they had tried. It looked exactly like a cheap supermarket own brand microwave lasagne; with a taste to match. Why didn't we raise this at the time. Would it have made any difference, no, we had already eaten. And, the most likely response would have been "I'll pass your comments straight to the bin on my way past"

Have been going to the Clousden for a few years now and always impressed with the service. Have used them for celebrations on 2 separate occasions and big shout out to Cherie the chef for her awesome buffet!

Scampi and chips disgusted 4 bits of scampi and dry chips I’ve tried to upload a photo as it was so bad I put it on Facebook wasn’t even a kids meal would never go back

Love this pub/restaurant. Visited for an early evening meal with my husband. Staff are always so welcoming & efficient. The chicken tikka thali was absolutely divine 😋 husband had the southern fried chicken burger which he said was tasty but on the small side for the money. Highly recommend Clousden Hill for any event, great for nights out with friends too. X

First time in and having food. Nice enough inside, staff friendly. However , how they can charge £13.50 for just lasagne is beyond me. Then with chips it cost £17! Partner said it was tasty but rather overpriced is an understatement. Would go back but not for food.

Too expensive for what is basically a very ordinary bar.

Went for a business lunch - it was fantastic. The food was great, the team working there really helpful and accommodating. The food was brilliant and the place is really nicely decorated. I would highly recommend and will be back when I'm in the area again.

Ordered a Guinness and it came in a dirty glass , barmaid then processed to tell me the glass was clean , bubbles on the inside of a glass is not clean , was told the glass was clean multiple times , unfortunately the glass was dirty and wasn’t offered to be cleaned , left and went elsewhere , the glasses were clean there

Was really good. The whole family goes for quiz nights on Thursdays, would recommend.

This was my first visit to the Clousden Hill & it won’t be my last. A friendly, sincere welcome as we arrived at lunchtime. An excellent range of beers, lagers & wines. Spirits too. We ordered from the lunchtime menu. Fish finger sandwich (goujons) and fries & Southern Fried Chicken Wrap with fries. Both were excellent. Freshly cooked and nicely presented. All staff were friendly and happy to chat with a new customer and make me feel welcome. Sadly, I live several miles away so it can’t be my local but I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone in the area. Also I loved the idea that folks could just pop in for a cup of tea and natter. What’s not to like? A real gem. Thank you to Elaine, Stevie & Kerry(?). I’ll be back.

Convenient place for a cuppa, stout or battered fish and chips. Feels like home with quality music, serene atmosphere, and most of its a pet friendly location.

Very, very poor service and quality food. Especially the prices and very poor car park far to small. Toilets very smelly needs gutted and new ones installed. Very cold seating areas

We visited for a family lunch with our dog. A warm and friendly greeting as we arrived, quick service and a lovely meal. Reasonable prices for the portion sizes and quality. A nice place we will definitely visit again.

Warm and welcoming venue. The interior is a traditional modern cross. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Dogs are welcome The food is superb and the range of drinks is fab

Don't pass this pub Great family welcome by real working landlords that will not be happy unless there costomers leave happy. Result !! Great food , nice beer and mint cocktails !! Only popped in due to hunger. Full belly and had to get my lass to drive due to the clean ,quality beers 😇

Went to this lovely little pub to watch my daughter sing tonight. What a lovely place and very friendly and accommodating staff too. The food was delicious and everyone was having a good time. Thoroughly enjoyed my evening.

We went on Saturday night on the 1st of October primarily to see my step daughter Beth Clarke singing here , on arrival we found our table which had a nice reservation note on it ( I had phoned up earlier ) , having got ourselves seated i went to the bar & enquired about food menus only to be told the kitchen was closed , so I ordered 2 drinks & went back to our table , the manageress came over to say during my phone call I should have been told about the food , she then told us she could cook us ( my wife & I) a couple of pizzas , we were taken aback at the this kind offer & accepted we sat down & enjoyed Beth's singing & after a short while our pizzas arrived , they were very well presented & the staff were very friendly & brought over cutlery & condiments & we enjoyed our fresh cooked pizzas along with our drinks , the atmosphere in the pub is very relaxed & very easy going , there are plenty of tables & seats throughout this fine establishment & 3 different ares within the pub , there is a car park at the back of this pub & will allow about 15 cars to park safely, great staff who are very friendly & pleasant & a credit to this establishment & the management, a great place to go for live music, food, entertainment & beer, this was our first time here & it won't be our last , 10/10.

Nice local pub with a good selection of beers and a standard pub style food menu. They also have additional Curry and pizza menus. It also has a good sized outdoor area for the Summer.

Excellent half term lunch. Menu choices were great - so much to choose from, and the food was excellent. The lovely lady who served us was friendly and efficient. All in all, we couldn't fault this place!

Excellent choice of beers and draught drinks, superb food. Best in the area at the moment. I have not had a bad meal here yet. One thing that really sets it apart is it does not just have the run of the mill drinks in here. It sells the craft beers, craft ciders etc. The staff are really friendly too. Can't fault it.

Friend had bistro rump steak not good had fat on, which should not be on a bistro rump, but did replace with different steak still very fatty. Received mince pie instead of steak pie, again was given chance to replace but had already ate half. But no mince pie on the menu? So where did that come from?
