Costa Coffee in North Tyneside

Great team all extremely pleasant, also efficient. I'm a regular and basically my drink is on the counter. All I have to do is basically pay for it.

Went to Costa with a client, and we had cappuccinos and lemon drizzle cake. It was sublime and delicious, and the coffee was gorgeous ! The staff were friendly and efficient

As far as Costa's go, this one is perfectly serviceable and is a good addition to Wallsend's High Street. The staff are always lovely (but some can be quite slow at times). The place is always very clean, tidy and has a nice quiet atmosphere no matter what time of day it is.

I have had many coffees in this shop and always had great service. Yesterday I went back after moving away and I was shocked. Every single empty table had dirty cups and plates. I had to move a full tray over to another table so we could sit down

Cleaning should be more of a priority

Visited the Wallsend High Street shop. The staff were very pleasant and chatty, much improved since my last visit in the shop. Keep up the good work, thanks for the awesome cappuccino as always.

Nice coffee. Only thing that would make it perfect, add the offer ofcinnamon to the top of milky coffees (like Starbucks)

Avoid this place at all costs and give your money to an independent coffee chain instead. Disgusting and the staff are abysmal. Management worse after the stories you hear about them and the way they treat their staff.

Great consistent Costa service, comfy seats, and a great place to sit and watch the world go by, whilst enjoying a few drinks.

I pop into here every so often, not too much as the manager/s have a serious attitude problem, the other staff really are lovley and are willing to help at any opportunity, but last time I visited I overheard some staff members talking about management stealing their tips? Surely, that isn't a joke and a serious allegation, as I can imagine a lot of people tip the nicer staff in the building? I think I'll just pass on visiting here again, I've spent enough money here without knowing that the tips I willingly give are just going to the management who probably earn 3x as much as other staff. No thanks 🤢

I’ve been in a lot of Costa Coffees but nothing was like this one. staff was so rude that I had to leave from the disrespectful staff. specially the model aged women who served us, shockingly she looked like a manager!!!

Quite a few negative reviews here. I've never had a bad experience here myself. You get the occasional member of staff that thinks you're beneath them. However, the majority of the staff are really nice and very friendly. The coffee is also lovely

I walked in at 8.30 in the morning. I asked for an oat milk latte. There was only 1 order in which was mine and a customer behind me. As English isn’t my first language I struggled to understand her saying “did you order an oat milk latte?” In her common Geordie accent. When I was confused by what she ask me she then screamed it at me in a slow and extremely patronising way in front of the other customers. I’m not sure why she works as a barista as this is clearly the wrong profession for her. I always drink at costa but not this one again! Absolutely terrible. Not at all what you’d expect from a relaxed coffee chain.

Staff straight out of the local job centre, No experience whatsoever of interacting with customers, the youngish staff member with black greasy hair laughing at a disabled man because she doesn't understand, Comepletely different experience than what you would get in any other Costa, really gives a bad name to the Costa brand.

The male member of staff who works there is miserable one of the female staff gave me extra butter he removed it off my tray and said ahh its an extra 10p also every time I visit he never has a smile on his face i am not a happy customer.

First time sitting inside since lockdown eased and I was not disappointed. The staff and coffee, not to mention the food, were as good as ever.

I went to get a coffee and the staff were quite rude to me, when i received the coffee it was half full i mentioned it to the staff they were very rude about it again and ended up giving a new one when i received the new one again it was half full and had barely any taste to it ,it was also just the froth. Its not the first time this has happened therefore it had annoyed me a lot.Wouldn't recommend especially with how bad the customer service was:(

Gave me my coffee in a takeaway cup as it was nearing closing time, do clearly couldn't be bothered to wash a cup. My friends who had arrived 10 mins earlier all had proper cups. Won't be back.

Good coffee and helpful busy staff. Store is busy with high noise level from the road. Made up for pleasant atmosphere and good location. Staff made excellent beverages all hot and as requested.

The staff here are fantastic, always speedy service with a smile even when customers are being unnecessarily abusive. Coffee is always spot on and they always have all the cakes in stock.

I ordered online via the Uber eats app and stated that my friend had a serious dairy intolerance. We asked for the mint choc chip frostino with no cream, soya milk and none of the chocolate sauce and that to contains milk. The drinks arrive and the mint choc chip frostino is full of chocolate sauce. I tried a sip and all I could taste was the chocolate sauce over the normally strong mint flavour. We think that there was a confusion at the premises when making the drinks and got mistaken for extra chocolate sauce. The drinks are already expensive. But for almost 5 pounds, the drinks went in the bin as it would have made her seriously ill. I have contacted both Uber eats and Costa and been ignored over what could have been a serious allergic reaction. Also, the cappuccinos we get from that particular Costa are always burnt or over syrupy as well as somehow not knowing what a cappuccino is. There is never any foam on the top of the coffees we order online. We only live about a mile away from the Costa and with working from home i can’t leave my desk, so we order online. Surely a little trip down the road with coffees shouldn’t mean the foam Is not existing when it arrives. Don’t waste your money and instead go to paradise cafe in the forum as they’re an independent business and not a money hungry chain. They do lovely coffees and are allergy friendly!!

Always order from here on a Sunday and never had any issues. Drinks arrive quickly, well made and hot every time.

The guys working there today are the dream of every customer anywhere. So polite, so nice, so patient (my card was playing) and so pleasant to deal with. The coffee was fantastic and just the way I love it. Thank you so much for my pleasant, short stay today, lads ❤️

Lovely place to have a coffee in Wallsend but wouldn't recommend it if it's a no sitting in type lockdown, cued for ten minutes before I even got in the door to a minimal 4 or 5 person qué but seems sound for about 2 or 3 Uber/just eat drivers to pop in and out with food. That's no bad reflection on the staff, I think the franchise owner has seen the flashing green money symbols Infront of his eyes installing Uber and deliveroo but in the process lost sight of the fact it was a chill place to sit in and have a coffee. Basically u will be stood there watching the staff run around getting Uber whilst they haven't even took your order. Sorry say it as I see it.

The service was a little slow but friendly it the actual muffin and coffee was good. The cafe is pretty clean and well spaced out. İt's obviously a popular place to stop as most tables were full. Of course now with Covid it is take away only. :(

Greeted by staff member on entry who was very helpful and served quickly by efficient counter staff. They are always polite and accommodating. Wish we could say the same about their Royal Quays shop.

Really missing our wonderful meeting place, the staff are absolutely amazing, the coffee's great. Let's hope we can get back to normal soon. 👍

Always a good place to have a friendly chat with friends and loved ones over a coffee, can be busy but staff are always friendly and helpful and make sure that you have everything you need.

I was on my way to the doctor's and wasn't sure how long I would be and was hungry so popped in for toastie and coffee my favourite Costa combo. It was 5.38 when I asked for a toastie which were still on display to be told the toaster is off. I politely said but you don't close until 6.30. the young girl said again well it's now switched off shrugged and walked off. I left and went to subway. I love Costa and I'm very disappointed with the service. I will stick to silverlink in future as staff are nicer and they don't switch everything off too early.

Great coffee but no white how chocolate

Drinks are extremely good and better than any costa I've been to. Staff are very nice and patient and always ask if i want extra things on my drinks which i never knew were available (Which no other costa has!). The staff always offer a cup holder when i order more than one cup too. The place looks very clean and tidy so would definitely recommend. Very good overall so i always leave tips.

The staff here are so friendly and make you feel comfortable, I like how it is usually quiet when I visit as I like to relax when enjoying my fave beverages rather than busy background noise.

My fiancee and I called into Costa for a coffee. We were greeted with a warm welcome initially. My fiancee asked for a drink which turned up to be symbolic with Starbucks (unknown to us). The girl serving us took offence to this and put our gingerbread man in the cup upside down. I could not believe what I was witnessing. 10 out of 10 for her loyalty towards Costa but unfortunately 0 out of 10 for the respect shown to the gingerbread man.

This is a place where you can socialize or have some me time

I've been there a couple of times as close to home and a place to visit friends...the coffee varies time to time but overall good,the members of staff are nice and patient,very polite dare to say but the manager she's rude,she hurries ppl up,she gets the wrong order and than says the costumer"well thats what you order"...i would definitely go back for the coffee but will try and avoid as much as possible if the manager is"over the counter"

Customer service is terrible didn't even ask me if I was sitting in or taking out and then the cheek to then say welllll it's in a plastic cup it stays warmer for longer

Clean and cosy. Have never been and struggled to get a clean table. Box of story books, teddies and colouring in for little ones too
