Always good food but the only let down is the promise of “chicken balls” in the set meal. They should be renamed batter nibbles as they were about the size of a thumbnail and didn’t contain any chicken.

Food arrived within the hour and it was delicious!! Portion sizes on the mini munch box was huge! Well worth the money

Please read: Probably one of the nicest chinese I've ever had, but the amount of times that they've had to 'unexpectedly' remain closed is ridiculous. Most recently placed an order but got a notification saying they were closed and would re-open on the 8th. Absolutely fine. Ordered on the 8th, order was accepted for delivery by 8.30pm. We rang at 9pm, no answer but then got a text to say they were closed. Ordered the next day (after calling to confirm they were open). We placesld an order at 7.50, delivery was promised by 8.30. After 2 phonecalls and 2 promises of 'your food will be there in 20mins' we cancelled the order, as it would have been after 10pm by the time our food finally arrived. If it did actually turn up at all. Not the first time this has happened We are very loyal and regular customers yet they seem to be content just to string us along

The food is lovely but the people are amazing. The delivery person today put my food in the house for me as I had a sleeping baby in my arms and couldn't take it. Even whispered to make sure my baby stayed asleep. Thank you so much!

I have ordered king prawn curry with fried rice. They have not added curry at all on the tub and the rice is not cooked properly. Also the prawn crackers looks like out of date.

Found a bone in the salt and chilli chicken, chicken before that was rubbery and dry, wings…. Dry, chips…. Soggy, rice…… tasteless, only thing edible from that munchie box was the prawn crackers and the curry sauce. Liften

This is the only place I've ordered from since moving here. Always on time, always hot & really good food.

Had a few meals from here and not one has been bad. Great food and great portion size.

Canton garden a mile away is much nicer and the scran is awesome i thank you.

Absolutely the best Chinese food in this area, really nice big chunks of chicken in the salt and pepper chicken, although it could do with a bit more spice but that's ok. Best way to order is getting several small dishes and sharing as the portions are good size even for smalls. Fully recommend and fast delivery always.

Ordered mini box2 tonight. From ordering to receiving food was perfect. The food itself OMG, the whole thing was very tasty, there was absolutely loads. We will defo be ordering again.

First time using this chinease tonight and will definitely be back, food was perfect very fresh and hot and delivered bang on time.

Absolutely beautiful, we had the lunchtime special for £4.90, was packed and we are both completely stuffed but it was just quantity, the curry was lovely not too spicy and the chilli and garlic is the best my other half has ever had!!! We will be back to try some more options 😁

First time using them. Worst Chinese I've ever had. Chicken was tuff and curry had virtually no taste.

Ordered mini box and chow mien. Both were outstanding and you get loads for your money. Will definitely use again.

Tryed gettin threw for half hour no joy

Having used the previous takeaway for years prior to it closing, I was interested to try the new premises out but was sadly disappointed. The spare ribs in the mixed starter were overcooked, as were the chicken wings. The house special chow mein were quite honestly the worst I have ever had. So bland and tasteless that they ended up in the bin. I rarely post negative reviews but this meal was just awful.

Way over priced 2 meals and 1 starter ribs with no meat 26 quid ,rip off

Ignore the negative comments. Would highly recommend & my partner and I think it is the best chinese in the NE!

Used to order from previous owners quite regularly so decided to carry on with the new orchid tried few meals pretty bland tonight's meal was binded

Really nice food, the salt and pepper chicken is excellent!

Worst I've had by far looks nothing like photos on menu, cubes of tasteless chewy meat 😖 never again!

As it has recently been open after taking over from the last takeaway which was there, I went to have a try at their establishment. And I am so pleased I did as their food were amazing. Ordered a few salt and pepper dishes and there were great, but the crispy beef in sweet chilli sauce are to die for. The disadvantages were the location as it in a industrial site which was new for me. Also had to wait to be served as there were a shortage of staff. But I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and the food made up for it. I’m sure to come back to this takeaway in the future as I was there temporarily on a business trip.

Ordered munch box tonight. Came very quickly looked lush but unfortunately thats as far as it went. Spare ribs were overdone and smelled of old grease. Chips were horrendous. Chicken balls tasted 3 days old. Sure frier oil needs changing. I cook for a living and can smell old oil and grease. The whole plate load went in bin. Im sorry but Hong Dong Dong food was lovely. You have let yourselves down.
