Kings Arms in North Tyneside

We had a lovely family time at The Kings Arms. And it was all thanks to two staff members who went out of their way to find a table for us despite me turning up on a busy Mother’s Day at peak time. This was then followed by the very good service and enjoyable food that you’d hope for. Thank you.

Service was excellent. & staff friendly , we ordered from the app and it was only showing Roast Turkey, we assumed beef (our choice) was sold out but waitress said it wasn’t when I mentioned it. Our fault for not checking before ordering I guess.I had Chicken with tomato sauce, chicken was overcooked. I think for the type of venue & it was Mother’s Day (so busy) it’s probably what I expected. I wouldn’t chose to eat there again but if you’re a family with kids probably ideal.

Sunday dinner was amazing, massive Yorkshire puddings, melt in mouth beef. Crispy roasties but soft inside thank you head chef Ryan

First time yesterday having pancakes blueberries strawberries for our five yr old they went further than expected they didn’t have ham for the five ur old sandwich so made up corn on the cob, potato waffles, etc. she hadn’t eaten so much she ate it all and a very picky eater I had the chicken pie and hubby and daughter had burgers was so relaxing and such tasty and good food quite regular here and looking forward for all of us on Mother’s Day again .

Great pub, brilliant atmosphere

Visited this pub today because a voucher came through my door. The food was terrible Me and my friend both had steaks and they were fatty and grisly. Mine was a surf and turf and the scampi as well as the chips and onion rings were over fried. No one came over to ask us how our food was so we just left it and left. We won't be using the other voucher we got!

Great pub, great staff, great value for money. Will definitely be returning again soon.

Love coming here for a few pints. Loads of Newcastle memorabilia too!

Gemma was very helpful she spoke to the chef and got me a plain meal that was not on the menu, so I could eat with the rest of my family I have multiple allergies that restricts me enjoying having food outside of my home.

Headed in on Monday as they do a pizza and pint for under £12, pizza was amazing and you could tell its fresh and hand stretched. Great value for money and thank you head chef Ryan for making it, we didn't have to wait long for it and the service from Shannon was fantastic

Lovely little local felt right at home as soon as I moved up from down south. Regulars and staff have taken me under their wing and my daughter and I love it. Special mention to Shannon who me and my daughter love. Pints are cracking and the odd time I've had food it's been class too thanks to head chef Ryan

In with friends and have to say Shannon is the best bar maid great service and chat over a pint. Top notch scran from Ryan had a class Sunday dinner

Had full gluten free menu. Which was fantastic, as its so hard going for food with family, really enjoyed it thank you.

Called the kings , spoke to Steph an hour before I needed a table for 7 people for the football, it wasn’t any trouble and was reserved for us coming in! My dog even got a treat when he came in🐶 lovely service, great bar

Very friendly bar staff, always welcoming and happy to see you. Cater for kids and dogs. New doggy menu and treats makes it the perfect pub. Steph and Shannon (bar staff) always give our dog their attention and treat her like their own.

Really lovely dinner here before the pub quiz. Katsu chicken burgers, mixed grill and pizza were all delicious, and the customer service from Steph and her team was spot on.

Sunday roast was fantastic, thank you chef Ryan! Beef was tender and beautifully cooked. Gravy was rich and flavoursome. Yorkshire pudding was huge!

we came in for a sunday roast and wow the food tasted amazing, the yorkshire puddings were massive and the beef was tender and juicy, great portions as i struggled to finish it! thank you chef ryan.

Awesome find. Had some time to kill and wandered in here. The service was fantastic. The staff were brilliant and friendly. The food arrived fast and was fresh and good. Reasonably priced too. The Sunday dinners are tremendous. Give them a shot.

I had the Katsu chicken burger. It came out reasonably quick and tasted very good. Service was great as well.

I come in every evening after a stressful day. And feel chilled when I leave very friendly staff including steph who make me feel very welcome. I would highly recommend the king arms for a good evening out. Special mention to Shannon she even comes out for a pint in the toon with the old boys! Great crack

My wife and I popped in on Saturday,had a quick bite and a few drinks,service was spot on,staff were kind and courteous and very upbeat,food was spot on,very warm and welcoming pub.

Atmosphere quiet at the moment as just opened on Sunday morning but been many times and never left disappointed great service from Stephanie and the staff

Visited the kings arms killingworth been here many times. But today staff looked miserable, normally very happy n chatty, but not today. ordered hunters chicken baguette & chips when it arrived what it says on the menu wasn't what was on my plate next to no cheese, I asked the lady serving if the amount of cheese was correct and she said you get a dusting on 😳 iv ordered this meal before and never had a dusting of cheese on. Her reply was very abrupt she took my plate away and put a little bit of cheese on. The menu says Southern fried chicken barbecue sauce mozzarella cheese & cheddar cheese with chop chives . There was no cheddar cheese or chop chives wasn't really bothered about the chopped chives. But if it's on the menu that's what they should serve you. When you go out for food you expect pleasant staff nice food, but all we got was to be made a bit of inconvenience. Won't go back in a hurry.

Food was ok (set Xmas meal) Prawn starter and mushrooms was nich Mains when we finally got them some of my party meals went to different table (that started eating them) turkey was so dry even with all the gravy poured on it was difficult to get down. Puddings was not nice at all. Come to paying there messed us around. After the manager confirmed was cancelled split the bill at the end, the staff member was abimet that it was not possible and did not do it. so had to struggle sending money over and throw the different party members just so we could pay.

We did breakfast with santa. Our little boy had the best time, dancing away. They didn’t forget about the little details, playing games, reindeer cups for the little ones, and the breakfast was really good & definitely filling. It was our first time here, and we’ll be back for food again soon. The staff were so lovely and helpful, 10/10

Breakfast with Santa All good on arrival, looked good and had lovely seats. Told children and adult food served separately, this made no sense really as the whole idea was a family breakfast. Most places in England an essential bit of breakfast is toast, especially for children, when asked if the kids could have toast was told "it only comes with adult meal", the adult meal came out later when the kids went off for their party games with toast. Observed some of the party games and wasn't the best to be brutally honest, don't think it was the lasses thing (not her fault) may of been short staffed. Plus side was santa who was decent. Hash browns were under cooked, didn't complain but they were not good. The whole thing felt rushed and a bit chaotic. Price was good, wouldn't of took much to make it great. Little things like toast for kids make a big difference. You may of had sickness of staff, so appreciate it can be tricky at times. If you didn't, that's the kind of impression I got. Kind regards and merry Christmas.

This is the second time in 2 weeks we have eaten here mainly because its very local. Food is sub-standard Frozen not fresh chips are awful. Mixed grill mediocre taking it home for the dogs. Wong be eating here again until quality and menu re greatly improved.

The staff are very helpful and the service is exceptionally quick. There are a variety of specials on offer depending on the day that you visit. The steak offer on a Thursday is unbelievable, with a steak and a drink at a good price and a delicious quality. My wife loved the lasagne for which she cleared her plate "Which is something unusual for someone who is very fussy".

We had a table of 12 tonight for a birthday party and we can safely say each one of us was really impressed with our food. The staff are very friendly and couldn't be more helpful! Thanks again guys for a great night :)

Food was lovely, hot, plenty and very tasty. Service was really good, staff were attentive without making us feel pestered . Any queries or requests were dealt without any fuss and solved immediately. A very nice dining experience for myself and my 7 other friends.

Visited nov 2024 and food has improved. Staff friendly, lady serving food is great, very attentive, checks your orders before they come out. House salads are the best eat out salads we have ever had. Kids all love the food, pizzas are better than any Italian restaurant too.

Sirloin steak was amazing, cooked to perfection and could cut through it like butter. Thank you head chef Ryan for cooking such a good meal

Most of the staff are really friendly and welcoming. Big shout out to Julia, Gemma and Lewis who always go above and beyond. From the minute you walk through the door they cannot do enough for you - definitely above and beyond.

mix grill was amazing, rump was cooked to perfection and the gammon and sausages cooked on the grill tasted fantastic, thank you to head chef ryan will deffo be back

Food excellent and reasonably priced. Inexpensive carvery daily. Ample parking. Children's play area inside and outside. Outdoor seating.

Lovely food, unfortunately had to take mine home with me due to a blood sugar crash but management were excellent in handling the situation and very kind. Gone back today, would recommend to anyone. Fantastic all round :)

We popped in for a(birthday) meal. Place was tidy and staff were friendly. Toilets were clean and of course our table was clean too. The food was great especially the beef lasagne and salad which was definitely fresh. I like the convenience of ordering on app as I don't need to que even though there wasn't any. Steak was nice and moist with NO hard or cheewy bits. The Hunters chicken was nice too. The guy who brought the drinks over was polite and friendly. I can't fault this place. Thank you!!

We have recently visited The Kings Arms Killingworth three times for Sunday lunch, on all occasions the meal served was excellent. I made the observation known to the chef. The service could not be faulted. Overall a great experience! Peter Smith
