mix grill was amazing, rump was cooked to perfection and the gammon and sausages cooked on the grill tasted fantastic, thank you to head chef ryan will deffo be back

The staff were so friendly and helpful! Steph (I think her name was) stood and chatted to the kids and us making us feel really welcome and the new lad who was serving me on the bar did an amazing job considering how busy it was! Food came out really fast and hot and was soo good ! Always recommend here great time out ❤️💘

Food excellent and reasonably priced. Inexpensive carvery daily. Ample parking. Children's play area inside and outside. Outdoor seating.

Lovely food, unfortunately had to take mine home with me due to a blood sugar crash but management were excellent in handling the situation and very kind. Gone back today, would recommend to anyone. Fantastic all round :)

We popped in for a(birthday) meal. Place was tidy and staff were friendly. Toilets were clean and of course our table was clean too. The food was great especially the beef lasagne and salad which was definitely fresh. I like the convenience of ordering on app as I don't need to que even though there wasn't any. Steak was nice and moist with NO hard or cheewy bits. The Hunters chicken was nice too. The guy who brought the drinks over was polite and friendly. I can't fault this place. Thank you!!

We have recently visited The Kings Arms Killingworth three times for Sunday lunch, on all occasions the meal served was excellent. I made the observation known to the chef. The service could not be faulted. Overall a great experience! Peter Smith

My 1st time and all I can say food was fabulous. But what made the experience was the staff. JEMMA was outstanding and couldn't do enough. Took time to speak to us and answer our questions. Made the experience worth while. I will be back again and again Jemma went above and beyond. So thank you

We are regular customers but are sad to say our last two visits have been disappointing. Tables hadn't been cleared, staff were grumpy and distracted by the football on the TV, options on the Sunday lunch were unavailable, vegetables were boiled to mush, and the puddings were cold. We did complain about the main courses at the time, but were just told the server would "tell the chef." We won't be going back any time soon.

rachel and jemma provided such a great service that i would come back time again. rachel also provides the greatest guinness in Newcastle!

Only been of an evening I hear it's busy for the food through the daytime though. Nice bustling atmosphere when we go. It purports to be a bit of a sports bar with the odd ephemera on the walls the customery pool table and the not so common now, darts board. They have the big telly's actually showing games and such so when you're bored with the conversation you can watch some obscure European player shout at the ref while begging " I went for the ball ref!". Anyway the foods supposed to be good and the Snakebite is OK not too expensive compared with some pubs that do food so if you're in the area call in for some lunch and a beer.

Walking into the pub was welcoming, the staff were all very friendly. Service was fast and efficient.

Food was lovely, served by Steph’s team behind bar, who were quick, accommodating and friendly, checked up to see how food was, very attentive. In sports section of pub which was quieter but that was good for personal preference. Lovely experience overall.

Had a lovely meal with friends at The Kings Arms last night. We were served by Jemma who was very welcoming and attentive. She checked if everything was alright with our meals and that we were all happy. I would definately recommend The Kings Arms and thank you Jemma for making our night a great one.

Nice pub for a lazy meal. Enjoy the cheese burger and Pepsi. Kids menu provides. Kind and sincere is the key to success for a restaurant other than the food imho, they do it nicely and I hope that it would be perfect in the coming future. Recommend.

Visited with family as we’ve just moved to the area so this will be our local, because I booked our table online they then sent me an email to ask how my experience was and shannon promptly messaged me back to say thank you for my email, normally never get a response to any review etc so I was so impressed that she took the time to chat, we’ll definitely be going back and taking the kids and grandkids, good atmosphere to.

Good website; easy to book on-line; 30% discount very welcome! Staff were patient and helpful, with attention to details re our order. Food arrived surprisingly quickly, was well-cooked and presented and each of us enjoyed our respective choices. Bearing in mind how varied the customers were, the aforementioned is even more impressive! Thank you for making a special occasion extra-special!

Best food I have had out in a long time! I loved it so much we have been two days running very accommodating with our requests and plenty of vegan options that taste absolutely amazing I have had the ultimate stacker burger this time and hands down the best burger I have ever had !! Have visited the kings arms from the day it opened then it was the shire horse had a reverb now it’s the kings arms the thing that hasn’t changed is Steph a really hard working member of staff always pleasant and greets you with a smile and looks after you from entering to leaving she really is an asset to the company from serving drinks to the lovely food can’t praise Steph and the rest of the staff enough. Came early for the Newcastle spurs match and for being an early kick off the atmosphere was great. Food still came quickly despite being busy and some of the friendliest staff around! 10/10

This is the second time in 2 weeks we have eaten here mainly because its very local. Food is sub-standard Frozen not fresh chips are awful. Mixed grill mediocre taking it home for the dogs. Wong be eating here again until quality and menu re greatly improved.

Great customer service lovely food definitely come back again

On arrival, immediately shown to a table and provided with menu. Ordering (and paying!) no problem and straightforward. Meal arrived in good time and was well presented and hot. Could not fault the gammon (tender and juicy), egg, chip or pineapple - half a tomato seems niggardly (but seems to be the norm with this dish at other restaurants?). The cider and lemon and lime drinks were good value

We have just been for Mother’s Day and the service was impeccable. Our food was brought out promptly and was absolutely delicious! A lovely lady called Steph looked after us and was so thorough and helpful - providing a top service - alongside the manager Josh who also went out of his way to grab my little boy not one but two flakes when he wanted one on his pudding! We have only been once before but will definitely be returning again. Lovely bar and lovely food.
