Premier Inn North Shields (Ferry Terminal) hotel in North Tyneside

Nice hotel near the ferry to Amsterdam. That's why we chose this hotel. Same rooms as the other Premier Inn and what we expected and love. Breakfast is a small walk away and quite good.

Spacious room, comfy bed, lots of hot water, and fluffy white towels. Staff helpful. Luggage storage facilities available.

Great location for the Port of Tyne ferries and Cruise ships. Usual VFM from Premier Inn, one slight complaint is that the Restaurant is not up to the standard of other Premier Inn’s we have stayed in, but in all fairness it was very busy with lots of cruise passengers staying there.

If going on a cruise, this is a great place to stay for the night before you embark.

The hotel from the outside made us a little worried, but inside was nice, rooms have clearly been updated so we were very happy. I would say if you are planning to use the public transport/ METRO, it’s a 10-15min walk. The worst however was the absolutely shocking signal. I haven’t been able to even check my emails whilst I’ve been here. 3G, sometimes 4G, no chance of 5G. WiFi impossible to connect to (even the paid one) unless you are at the reception and stay there forever, in the room no chance. It’s been super frustrating. Other than that hotel nice, the area unfortunately has seen better days, outlet very bare, many shut businesses and the smell from the port (I assume) sometimes very unpleasant.

Had a great time fiona 1 and fiona 2 (nicola) Were fantastic and could not do enough to help us made us feel welcome and we had a laugh and great time #weallhatecrocs

Actually a nice hotel, but if I need a room today, it's very expensive. It's better to book a few days in advance. 176 pounds is a very steep price.

The Room looked nice like allways, but there was a terrible stench in the room and we could'nt get rid of it, no matter how much air refreshener we used.

The staff at reception are absolutely lovely. Very friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean, but in desperate need of updating. There was also a dreadful smell in the bathroom, we found as soon as you entered the room the smell hit you. Think the bathroom needs ripping out and replaced. But with the window open all the time it wasn't too bad.

Fantastic staff who really couldn't be more helpful. The room was good sized and spotlessly clean. A typical Premier Inn room. The more I travel the more I appreciate the reliability of the Premier Inn experience. The location was superb if you wanted to take the ferry, pretty desolate if you didn't.

Looks a little tried in the area it is in. The staff are friendly and helpful. Even had a charger I could use since I forgot mine. Bed was comfy and the room clean water pressure was low but water was hot enough.

Great stopover. If you are going on a cruise and restaurant next door, clean, warm, friendly, good service and convenient.

Staff were amazing, nothing was to much trouble. From anyone at the front desk to the girls cleaning rooms they were all so lovely. Only gave location 3 stars due to not being for me. Good location for Royal Quays and ferry terminal for those travelling on ferries
