The best restaurants in Newcastle upon Tyne North East

The service was terrible, and the food was mediocre. We ordered a vegetable pizza with cheese, a broccoli pizza with cheese, a Caesar salad, and a caprese burrata cheese. After five minutes, the waitress apologized for throwing our order in the trash and returned it. We waited an hour and a quarter for the order to arrive. When we asked about the delay, knowing that other customers had waited half an hour and received their orders before us, the waitress gave an unconvincing answer. It seemed like she hadn’t recorded our order. We tried to cancel the order, but the waitress said it would be delivered within five minutes, but it arrived after 25 minutes. In addition to the poor service, the food was not worth the price we paid. We ordered two pizzas (ORTOLANA with SALSICCIA AND FRIARTELLE), a Caesar salad, a caprese burrata salad, and a soft lemonade. They added a 10% service charge. It was a truly awful experience at this restaurant. Replying In response to your comment about my rudeness to the employee, I want to clarify that what you heard is not true. I asked to cancel the order, which is my right, and I did not say any inappropriate words. Calling me rude reflects your attitude towards customers. Regarding the service fees, I did not choose to pay them, and no one informed me that they were optional. When the appetizers were finished, the waitress removed the plates. It was clear that the main course would be served soon, not after an hour and a quarter of removing the appetizer plates. This lack of professionalism in serving is evident. After reading other negative customer reviews and your responses, I understand the poor treatment that customers receive here. Thank you for your unconvincing reply. I hope you will work on improving your service and food quality to succeed.

Tasty pastries but takeaway only

One of my favourite places in Newcastle upon Tyne. This place is always packed and hence a reservation online on the day before your visit is highly recommended! The wings are delicious and they have a nice deal on Wednesday and Fridays ! Their beer selection is also decent. The place is a tad bit tiny, but the food makes up for it. The staff are amazing and are very friendly. I highly recommend this place for their lovely chicken wings (various flavours !) and awesome service.

went for the first time this evening after reading rave reviews and it definitely doesn't dissapoint! All the staff were so polite and attentive, kostas in particular was lovely. I had the chicken souvalaki which was amazing, the tzatziki that came with it was a standout for us, it's so delicious! The baklava for dessert was great too. A really lovely meal for a reasonable price, would highly recommend as we will definitely be going back!

Great restaurant and fabulous food

Exceptional. As someone who loves a good quality sushi experience this place was great with good service. I also had the ramen which was excellent! Well done

Excellent bar. Really unusual and beautiful inside. Small So recommend booking. Table service was excellent, Serena was attentive without being intrusive and always seemed to manage to turn up just as we were order another round of drinks. Highly recommended

This is by far my top instagrammable cafe in Newcastle and all UK from my perspective. Their brewed coffee is really sound, and if you love white mocha, it is your fav spot from now onward. ever and their. Their cosy vibes and atmosphere are relieving your souls from all stress and fatigue. Needless to say, how so friendly and charming their baristas are. I am ranking it ezzy 10/10. I will highly recommend it to coffee lovers, no brainer, and could be a chance to see me there every Saturday, maybe 😋

Spent a lovely few hours here whilst on a recent trip to Newcastle. Did an excellent and informative guided tour before sampling some delicious beers. Pizza was incredible also 👌

Great place, good prices and great old school arcades. The price of the drinks is also fair. Sadly Sega Rally arcade was not working last time but hope it is the next time around. Will be back

Had lunch here today with a friend and it was just brilliant. Great authentic quality Italian food cooked to order. We had lasagne, linguine ragu, home cooked chips and tomato garlic bread. Everything was good. People that run this place are super friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend, it’s worth it! They are dog friendly too. Will definitely be back.

Excellent food and service. A bit out of the way but worth the walk. Tasting menu was just right and cocktails were just right!
