Lovely place, plenty of varieties for shopping

I love how cheap this place is! And the vintage vibes? It’s giving cutesy. I love coming here with my parents , and plus , some of the foods are DELICIOUSSSS Definitely recommend coming here , and I would 10000% recommend if you like vintage stuff 🫶

Lots of different stalls to look at in the market. It is centrally located which is very useful if you’re in the city centre and the market is well worth visiting if you’re in Newcastle.

I visited Grainger Market after watching a review on youtube by a local content creator called Tyneside Life. Eddy made the market sound like such an amazing place so I had to come and see for myself and wow he wasn't wrong. As soon as I walked in all the different smells and sights just blew my senses away it was such a phenomenal experience. Walking around the market was just so eyeopening looking at not only all the different types of businesses in the market but all the different kinds of people who work there. After my visit I emailed Eddy and told him he was right that Grainger market is an absolute diamond in Newcastle city centre and thanks for uploading a video about it. I didn't buy anything in the market on this occasion but I made a few notes of places I liked like Geordie Banger and will definitely be placing an order with them online as I love to taste local cusuine whenever I visit anywhere.

Wonderful fruit and veg at good prices. You can buy almost anything here. Wish it was near where I live.

Been coming here since early 1960's, not much changed. Look hard enough there's always bargains. Our little purse and bag shop left the Galleries in Washington but fortunately it's still in the market where it started. Called into a little shop just for a look at the coats they had on sale all marked size 10. As I'm bigger I tried one to check, ended up husband bought it for me. 3 new purses for Xmas. It's always been a place worth going into.

Place is very run down. Many shops are closed on a Saturday. Or just completely closed. Not a nice atmosphere at all. Couldn't find much interesting here

Nice to have been once. Reminds me a bit of the Black Market Beverwijk. We were lucky that there was also a nice Christmas market nearby. Please bring cash (GBP).

If you want an alternative to supermarkets then Grainger Market is a great place to go. Fantastic range of shops - the usual and the unusual. Good food places as well.

Nice market hall to stroll through, lots of food, produce and nice shops. Definitely come here if you need breakfast, lunch or just a bite, there are lots of affordable options. Loved the atmosphere!

You can really find everything here, food and non-food. Great atmosphere, lots of options to try, small restaurants etc. Busy, lots of nice people for a little chat.

Wonderful place with full desi market vibes. Wander the local shops to buy fresh veggies, fruits,clothes. Also discover Indian style food, amazing Mac cheese which is yummy 😋, dumplings and lot more

We were very impressed with Grainger Market, although talking to some of the stallholders it is very much a shadow of its former glory. I suppose everyone is supermarket orientated these days, unfortunately.

This is the indoor market of Newcastle where you will find dozens of independent sellers. Some of these places are hidden gems if you were to walk past it without realising. There is a great little store selling homemade unique tea light candles, a store with old retro games and toys, and many independent food places you should try. These are just some of the stalls I visited.

We had a good wander throughout the market, loads on offer but especially the street food stalls. Only really missing somewhere we could all come back to and eat together having picked from a range of vendors.

A historic shopping arcade with lots of great independent places to eat in there too.

An authentic market hall with a wide range of products at reasonable prices. We had coffee with scones. Tasty and not too expensive. The food ordered by the other guests looked appetizing. The restaurant was well attended, mostly by locals.

Butchers Fishmonger and bakers are amazing top quality and great value..some quirky shops add to the mix

The officers in charge of the Market as incredibly kind and generous. The whole place is so homely , welcoming and has anything you could want or need. My favourites were the jewellers, Supastich and the cafe. A must see in Newcastle

Grainger Market in Newcastle is a decent spot to explore, but I found it just okay overall. One of the interesting features is that it has multiple entry gates from different roads, which makes it easily accessible from various parts of the city. The market has a mix of stalls offering fresh produce, meats, and independent shops, but nothing really stood out as exceptional. It’s a convenient place to grab a quick bite, with a variety of food vendors, but the overall experience felt a bit underwhelming. While it’s worth checking out if you’re in the area, I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again.

Reminds me a little of Covent Garden in London. The market halls are very spacious and offer some small, cheap snack bars.

Good old fashioned market with great service and quality goods.. the butcher's and fruit and veg stalls are fantastic and the prices don't hurt your pocket which is what everyone needs these days and these are small independent trades who need to earn a living.. so come on folks, get yourself to the Granger market and bag yourself a bargain..

Next time your in town forget about the shops and have a nostalgic walk up and down the aisles and if you like cheese your in for a treat

Good range of stalls and products including fresh Indian snacks, beers, coffee, fresh goods and the Gordie Sausage Company.

Absolutely worth seeing. We ate very well, completely overpriced.

A must seen Place in Newcastle. Old Historic Market Hall with many Shops and Cafes. I like it. It has a special Atmosphere when you walk through the Hall.

Best place in Newcastle to explore loads of food! Either from the multiple butchers, grocers and cheese mongers. Or pull up a seat for dumplings, bagels & smears, noodles, tapas, burgers, and more! Huge classic market hall also has great gifts, like pop up cards, pottery, toys, books, games and more.

Great vibe. We ate at the Greek place which was very busy, but had a great atmosphere.

What an amazing experience, went twice in two days and picked up fish, a pigs head, pickle cheese, clothes and loads of others. Really friendly people and some unusual finds. Anyone visiting Newcastle should defo visit.

Very disappointing more boarded up stalls than open ones.

Depends on what you want from a market. It's changed so much over the years from shops to multi cultural eateries so as a market, not so good but if you want different types of food then its good. Nice to see a few shops like Lindsays fish shop, Pumphreys coffee and the pet shop are still there.
