Visited for the first time and it was a lovely experience. The food was to die for and the staff were so patient and nice. Maybe the best hash browns I've ever had in my life. Will definitely be visiting again!

Lovely food and service every time

We like to venture out and try a few new places for brunch and this was a great find. Some variations on breakfast and nice to take a break from pancakes and Nutella (the kids!) and avocado and poached eggs (the big kids!)…. Creatures of habit. I would recommend having a look at the menu if you have fussy kids. Although they were happy to tweaks the waffles to our kids liking. Nice atmosphere. Recommend booking.

Definitely not insta vs reality. The food is as good as it looks on socials. In fact, it was so good we all ordered seconds. I had the steak and eggs with hash browns and then ordered it again 😂 Divine! Coffee is really nice too. Can’t wait to go back.

What a wonderful experience here. We have never been before and attended for brunch on a weekday. The staff were so friendly and more than happy to accommodate anything. Bonus is that dogs are allowed and the server straight away brought our dog a water bowl. The food is absolutely amazing, so fresh and tasty. We both had the steak and eggs which was to die for. The coffee was excellent quality and the price in general was quite reasonable for what it was. I would not hesitate to return !

Incredible food at great prices. What more can I say, it’s not often you find gems that have food of this quality at such a reasonable cost. I got the large steak supper and genuinely couldn’t complain, the entire plate was cleaned and enjoyed thoroughly. Staff are amongst some of the most welcoming I’ve ever encountered. YOU NEED TO BOOK! There were so many walk ins turned away due to no availability, which is testament to its local prowess in itself. 10/10

Cute place with friendly staff! Good coffee and many interesting dishes for breakfast and brunch - couldn’t choose what to order! We had the sourdough toast with butter and honey, the yogurt granola which was so fresh and delicious and the pastrami sandwich which was excellent! Definitely recommend it!

The steak and eggs gave me food poisoning, and I’ve been out of commission and leaking from my bum for the past 27 hours (although it tasted good). The service was mediocre in my opinion. Waited ages to get order taken initially. The atmosphere was decent though.

Great choice of food and drinks with lots of specials and quirky items to choose from. Coffees were made to perfection! I had a vanilla latte, partner had a hazelnut mocha and they were both lovely. You could tell they had took their time making them. Brunch menu served all day. For food we had steak and eggs, and we both added sourdough and hash browns. The food was amazing! Steak cooked to perfection. So much flavour across the board it seemed a shame to leave any even though we were stuffed! Well maintained and clean little cafe and the staff were so welcoming and helpful from to start to finish. We will definitely be back!

Went for my birthday and the food was amazing! This place is definitely worth standing in a queue for!!! The breakfasts are unreal, especially the magpye meat free patties, hash browns (homemade) and croffles. Everything is made fresh and all seem to be local too which is a bonus, will definitely be back.

An absolute Gem!! 4 of us and my year old nephew had lunch and it was really delicious. Great menu including a bambino burger for the little one. The surf and turf was fab, the regular steak was delicious, the prawn sandwich amazing and the bairn loved his too. The appleslaw was delicious. Excellent service and happy smiley staff. Recommend to all in Heaton, Gosforth and anywhere in Newcastle really. A GEM!!!

Pastrami sandwich- one of the best I've tasted in a long long time, flavours outstanding, portion sizes great My partner got the double patty muffin too and this was incredible. We ordered takeout and it only took around 10 mins to come, late lunch time.

The steak sandwich was out of this world and made to perfection, I enjoyed every single bite of it. The waffle croissants (crottons) are delicious too, haven't had something similar before.

First time here during the day but we'll be back fairly soon. Wonderful wide choice of dishes, including extensive all day breakfast selections. All the ingredients seem to be locally sourced and from great suppliers too (Charlotte's Butcher's, Block &.Bottle, Pink Lane Bakery, Northern Rye). The in-house hash browns were the highlight of my Veggie Big 'Un and the rest of it was wonderful too.

The Toon pastrami sandwich was excellent, packed with tasty slices of pastrami on door-stopper slices of Northern Rye sourdough. So good. I’d recommend asking for the honey mustard mayo on the side for less mess, found it quite sloppy otherwise. The chips (fries) were skin-on and really nicely cooked, I’d definitely get them again. Not sure about the aubergine and halloumi sandwich, lovely taste but it all got a bit wet and sloppy to eat. Overall, a great place for lunch with huge portions and for a reasonable price.

So damn good! Sausage was the only negative but it was a texture thing rather than how it was cooked or flavour, just a bit tough. Everything else is amazing. Will return. Probably multiple times

Brilliant all day veggie breakfast

Went at the HWKRmarket a while back. Decent quality smashed burger, but it's not one of my favourites in Newcastle. Bacon was tasty, but I wouldn't have the normal burger again.

Great food and service. The sanwiches are very big so if you are not very hungry I would recommend you to share. The quality is great and the bread is lovely. Plenty of vegetarian options too.

Delicious, quality breakfast muffin with a meaty sausage pattie, perfect crispy bacon, egg, cheese and spinach. The side order of hash browns is a must, they are the best. Only let down was how long it took for the coffee to arrive.

Went to smoke and sear at HWKR market in Newcastle about a year ago. The food is absolutely delicious!!! I got shrimp and steak which was absolutely delightful and my freida got a good old smash burger which I tasted and was unreal... only complaints is portion sizes are small and price is really high. You can get same quality food for cheaper

Definitely the best vegan burger I have ever had. And excellent chips. Sad to see Sky Apple go, of course, but credit where credit's due. 10/10

Absolutely love this place. Tried dinner, lunch and breakfast and everything was beautiful. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and best Oldfashioned we had in a very long time. Oh and it’s dog friendly

I had the large steak supper and it was absolutely delicious. I found out about these guys through Facebook and all the photos they post look amazing. They do vegan options too which is ideal for my wife. We will be back to try the rest of the menu!

The food is tasty - the burger in particular is soooo good, the meat melts in your mouth. Genuinely one of the best burgers I've ever had. Service was fine, they are really nice, the only issue I had was that the table that came in after us got their order taken before I'd which was annoying as we were the only two tables in there. I do think the table were being a bit pushy though so that's why only 4 stars. Will be back.

Met up here for breakfast with our extended family. Fantastic BLTs (you need to be hungry!!), wonderful double sausage patty sandwiches and great coffee. Staff were very helpful and friendly, kept up with our demands for continuous coffeee and hot chocolate (try the chocolate orange its amazing!). Will be back very, very soon. Can't wait

Food is good! Had an issue with being served warm/almost cold fries, but the waitress rectified that. After I left, I realised I had no greens on my plate. Not sure why!

Two visits now (both takeaway) - first time I had a veggie breakfast muffin, and it was absolutely top. Second time I had the (non veggie) BLT, and that was also top, and generous too. I reckon I'll dump my usual Ouseburn haunts for this lovely place now!

This place is ok. But, it took an age for the food to arrive, by which time I was becoming aware of how uncomfortable the bench was. The sourdough bread my veg blt was made from tasted nice but lacked integrity and fell apart. Earl Grey tea was served by the cup, rather than in a pot. This is not a good idea. Service was pleasant enough and I left a tip, so they were getting something right.

Great food and service! Tried this place out a couple of weeks back when it had just opened and absolutely loved it. I’ve since been back a further two times with friends and enjoyed it every single time!! Staff are really friendly, home made hash browns are amazing! Most recently tried the surf and Turf (see picture) which did not disappoint. Would give 6 stars if I could!

After salivating over their food on their socials and following their renovations of their new restaurant we finally got to try and what a delight. I had steak & eggs, the steak was cooked to perfection, I had it with sourdough from Northern Rye. The staff were masked, friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself was fresh , light and airy, unrecognisable from what it was. What a great addition to Heaton Road, we can't wait to return

Best burger I've had in a long time! Using all top quality, locally sourced ingredients, home made pastrami, ketchup etc, it really is excellent. Relaxed, friendly service too.
