Rio Brazilian Steakhouse - Quayside in Newcastle upon Tyne

Absolutely great service especially by Eve our server and Alex the manager. Couldn’t do more for you. Food was amazing too. We will definitely be back. Atmosphere was brilliant, views out the window was fab too. I literally can’t fit any more food in. Just brilliant.

There now and I have to say we’ve had the best experience ever! Much better than jesmond Rio! Eve our server was very polite, impeccably presented, and very attentive and professional. Alex the manager came to see us also multiple times and always made sure we were having the best night! This is our new favourite restaurant!!

I just want to say it was the most horrible experience I’ve had in my life I went out for Mother’s Day and wanted to take some food home they said NO I said so what would happen with my food then if I don’t take it home they said it would go in the bin and I hate seeing food go to waste and I work in a food bank to and we complained and the manager came over bare in mind he looked about 10 and he took my plate in anger and I was not finished I went out to celebrate MOTHERS DAY FOR MY MAM I WOULD REALLY ADVISE NOT TO GO HERE IT IS TERRIBLE AND WE ASKED A STAFF MEMBER IF WE COULD TAKE THE FOOD AND HE SAID YES

Fantastic food, great service. Our server was Tatiana and we couldn't have been looked after better. I have food allergy and she was very knowledgeable and supportive. Atmosphere is lovely too.

Amazing visit with family for my partners birthday but without the fuss,, nice welcome and a fantastic explanation of how the experience works, the service was very friendly , drinks were lovely including their signature cocktail, prosecco , redwing and the soft drink guarana which I purchased several cans and then some.to take home. Tatiana and amelia were both very friendly, the buffet was well.stocked with everything you could want , including the delicious stew of feijoada , loads of nice stuff ,.and then the meats just kept coming .......and coming......and coming.....we couldnt say no. All perfectly cooked and tasty really really impressed. Desserts were delicious also , I got what I can compare to a creme caramel but even better , they made my partner a happy birthday board with ice cream but didn't sing as they understood he didn't want a fuss. We will be back , thanks rio team.

We booked this restaurant while on a weekend visit to Newcastle. We were really impressed. The choice of starters and sides were excellent and the meat of good quality. The service was professional and there was a nice atmosphere. It is not a cheap night out but is good value for money. We will return next time we stay in Newcastle.

A return visit for a triple birthday celebration, we were a party of eight which increased to a party of ten as we had family surprise us by arriving from another country completely unexpectedly! A lovely moment and the staff did very well accommodating us on a large table on a busy Sunday evening. The meat as usual was amazing, and they were very careful to make sure those at the table who wanted things more well done were served correctly, and also were very helpful with a garlic allergy. Our waitress, Tatiana, was very warm and helpful, as we kept her busy running backwards and forwards. All the servers were excellent, quick to make sure any special requests were catered for. All drinks were lovely, both mocktails and cocktails really tasty, and those of us who had desserts really enjoyed them (lemon cheesecake and churros a big hit}. They also surprised us by coming to sing happy birthday to all three of our birthday boys with a special icecream treat for each of them. A really fun night and a perfect place to celebrate any big special occasions.
