Always 10/10 here. Food is sublime and service is incredible. We've had the same waiter twice now and he's just honestly an absolute pleasure to interact with. Our favourite special occasion venue by far. Leaving happy and so so full. Thank you! 🥩

Food is good enough but not cheap.

First off the doorhandles are warm and very welcoming to customers We sat at table 40 for the lunchtime menu (01/03/25), we ate the place dry and even had deserts. The staff were lovely even joking around with us because we couldn't find the bogs. The staff even gave us a goodbye serenade as i battled with the push door that i thought was a pull 10/10 deffo recommend and will be returning

Over priced massively ! Felt like a buffet king

An unbelievable place. There’s not much here that isn’t fantastic. Only thing that wasn’t 9/10 or 10/10 was the belly pork, but it was still nice. Service is fantastic as well. *edit. Changed this to a 4 star. Seems to be going a bit down hill. Still great but nowhere near as good as it used to be.

It's not every day you visit England and rave about the Brazilian restaurant, but LORD this food was good. The service was impeccable- two picky kids and they already had plain noodles or chicken nuggets options. The salad bar was *wonderful*- so much more than lettuce and croutons. Bathroom: elegant and well-decorated, 10/10

I went for a meal and had an amazing time! The meat was cooked perfectly, and I loved every bite, especially the ribeye and fillet. Our waiter was incredibly helpful, even surprising my partner with a birthday dessert, which was a lovely touch! The atmosphere was spot on, making the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be back for more!

Very impressed with our first visit. I had seen a social media review during the week where the guests hadn't had a good meal, so I was apprehensive about what our visit was going to be like. I can honestly say that I am so glad that I ignored the review. From the minute we walked in the door we felt welcome. all the staff that we came across were very friendly and knowledgeable. The salad bar was well stocked and labelled. The guys that go round serving the meat are a credit to the company, they literally make sure you are never without meat, unless your card is on red. I thoroughly enjoyed our night and would not hesitate to recommend Rio's to anyone looking for something different. The price reflected the quality and service given throughout and I was happy to pay the service charge, as I feel it was deserved by all

I called here to ask if we could arrive 20-30 mins late. I explained that we would still leave at the end of the booking time and didn’t wish to overstay, simply arrive later due to our child’s swimming class running late. The male on the phone was extremely unhelpful, he just kept repeating that they needed15 mins to turn the salad bar around for the dinner sitting. I repeated we didn’t wish to stay longer so it wouldn’t affect his salad bar. He was completely uninterested in listening to me, he was rude and so unhelpful. I explained the dinner sitting was too late for my two young children but his rudeness was deafening to him. To me it’s a no brainer, all you can eat and people are sitting for less time and paying the same money. The restaurant would still make the same money and use less produce, surely a great business plan for an establishment like this?! It’s a shame as I was looking forward to trying this place but I won’t now as I can only assume if the service is that bad before I’ve even made a booking then it would be disastrous inside.

Booked for the evening on a Saturday 21st December. My son was looking forward to sea food and sushi as per website. There was non of that and a waiter told us they do not do sushi anymore. This was such a disappointment as it’s still stated on the website Jesmond branch. Please update website so we are not misled. Otherwise the atmosphere was brilliant.

First ever visit but won't be our last, lovely welcome friendly staff ordered drinks then went to the salad bar /sides the garlic mushrooms were lovey as well as the potatoes then came the meat what can I say it was all delicious especially the Brazilian steak which was my favourite will definitely be back

This is my first visit to Rio Jesmond, and I can say it has to be one of the most relaxing places I've been. On entry, the young gent at reception was lovely, very helpful and very polite, The front of house staff are wonderful, all well turned out and again very helpful and polite. The place it's self is lovely, I can imagine it getting very busy, but we struck lucky and called in just before 3 pm (last seating for the lunch menu), so it was rather quiet. Once seated, we ordered our drinks and went to the salad bar, which had all the usual Rio goodies. My absolute favourite is the mushrooms in cream sauce with a bit of rice it goes lovely with steak, back to our table, and an absolute barrage of beautifully cooked meat, The meats change for the evening setting, but for lunch there was more than enough to get stuck in to, from caramelised pork, bbq chicken thighs, Brazilian steak, sirloin, rump, gammon, sausage and more the Goucho's were fantastic never leaving it too long before another beautifully cut piece of meat was in front of you. (There is also a vegetarian and vegan option ) All in all, one of the best meals I have had for a while also this week is Newcastle restaurant week (Monday 13th - Friday 17th January), so the prices are reduced, which is always a bonus.

I took my family here for the first time last Saturday night and I can't think of one negative comment about this place. As soon as we entered the building we were greeted by a lovely lady on the front desk. She took us to our table and gave my 3 year old daughter attention. Which my daughter loved. We ordered drinks and a the waiter brought water and poured it out or us. He was lovely and friendly too. Then Ryan came over and asked us how we liked our meat and told us how it all worked..another friendly member of staff, he also made a fuss of my daughter too, talking to her and playing with her. We then proceeded to the salad bar..this had to be the most luxurious salad bar I've seen. Not exactly massive but there was a great selection of food, from your basic broccoli florettes to salmon and prawn canapés. Back at our table the meat kept coming none stop. Even those who brought the meat were so kind. The lamb and the ribs are to die for and cooked to perfection. Melting in your mouth. The steaks were quite nice and I enjoyed the pork and pigs in blankets. We were given fries, bread and some savoury balls for the table. By the time the gammon and pineapple came around we were all too full but I will definitely go back and will be recommending Rio to friends and family.

Came for lunch as first timers to Rio's. Served by the lovely Trish we had a great time stuffing our faces with a load of delicious meats and the bill wasn't as much as I was expecting either. Would definitely recommend the place. 5 star all round.

We recently visited for my daughter's birthday, and I can't express how wonderful the experience was! The staff went out of their way to make her day special, bringing her ice cream and singing happy birthday, which truly made her feel celebrated. The meat selection was on point, especially the picanha and lamb—both perfectly cooked! The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the service was top-notch, leaving us completely satisfied. Huge thanks to the team for an unforgettable evening!

My (adult) children like going here and this was my third visit to a Rio restaurant in Newcastle. To begin with they were a novelty, but now my general feeling is that they are overrated and overpriced. We went to the Jesmond restaurant to celebrate my daughters graduation. Staff were generally friendly and helpful and our meat choices were served quickly. The lamb and pork was nicely cooked and succulent; however a lot of the steak cuts we received were tough, grisly and often overcooked. There is good choice from the salad bar, but again nothing was particularly special. Payment was a shock (!) and I was reluctant to pay £46 a head (for the meal) and the 10% service charge - the experience just wasn't worth it! My children now have an understanding of my view (and my wife's) of Rio, so hopefully this will be our last ever visit.

Ryan was truly a lovely waiter. Along with all the other meat men. Had a lovely meal. Loved the cheese balls. Went well with the meat.

Great service and fantastic food

Can't believe that I'm writing this as I usually go through the day. I have just had the worst meal and feel I have to write this. The meats were mediocre, and we kept getting missed out when they came round, even when I had cards on green. Got offered more chicken 6 times than actually meat and how many times I got offered Brazilian steak. Not once did I get offered the good cuts or lamb I had to request it and when it came it was disgusting it tasted like nothing but salt and made me feel ill so had to spit it out. Anyone who knows me knows i do not waste meat, but that was it for me. I got the expensive £111.92 bill for 2 meals and 3 cokes and left feeling very disappointed. I have done nothing but praise rios jesmond in the past to my friends and customers, but sorry, I won't be praising or visiting anymore unless something changes, and for that price you need to change or improve. 🤢

Popped in on a Sunday afternoon with my daughter for the 1st time after hearing loads about the place ... We were really impressed service food drinks all 1st class .. So much choice on the salad bar and the meats just kept coming (well untill we turned over the beer mat to red ) will definitely be back soon to try the evening menu as u can a few different meats that not included on afternoon deal 😋 writing this 2 hours after leaving having a lie down as Absolutely stuffed lol **** Starve yourself before you go to make plenty of room lol****

Best steak I have ever had min. Better than the steaks up here in Scotland. Bet you cannae beat Scottish cheesecake though min.

Honestly, the best steak house in Newcastle! We walked in for a family meal and I’m so glad I did! The meat was fantastic, and the salad bar was equally on point. The atmosphere was buzzing, and the team's warm welcome made all the difference—they checked in on us throughout and even had great recommendations. We’ve been here last week, but didnt like the way we were treated by one particular (very loud) member of staff, but this time the whole experience was top-notch. Can’t wait to come back:)

Incredible place, awesome food, great staff.

Visited with friends for our 27th wedding anniversary. We were greeted and taken straight to our table. Our server was brilliant she explained everything clearly and 2 of the party were gluten free...this restaurant caters for alot of allergies...everything clearly marked so you know exactly what you can and can't eat without the worry. The salad bar has a huge range, the meats kept flowing and everyone was pleasantly stuffed. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, thank you 😊

First visit to this chain. Visiting Newcastle and didn't know about them. Staff were great and welcoming and service was superb throughout the evening. They have a buffet with others shown and then it is all you can eat. Meat comes to your table. This is carved at you and you pick off with your tongs. Pork beef chicken and lamb. Chips brought to table. Meat was high quality. I would come hungry. Price was £45 per head so you need to eat your fill in my opinion. Decor was fun and good atmosphere. Worth checking out but expect a high cost.

What an experience. The food was delicious, the staff excellent and the atmosphere wonderous. went for the dinner menu and was not disappointed. the cocktails were spot on. I can not fault the place. Well deserved top spot on trip advisor. Just beaut!!

Wow 👌 👏 this place is amazing. The food is incredible, the service impeccable. RIO is absolutely outdid. The majority of the restaurants I've used in our region. I know there's always the high-end restaurant where you pay over the odds for a tiny meal, but that's definitely not the case here. If you leave here hungry, there's something wrong with you because the meat just keeps coming. And the salad and sides are endless.

Had a lovely meal. Staff are very helpful and attentive. Even brought out a birthday treat for free as our cousin had mentioned it was his birthday meal out. Great with the kids and they even ate for free as both are under 8 years old. Food was tasty and atmosphere was great. Thank you very much. We were at the Jesmond Rio steakhouse.

Came here for my sons graduation as he loves his meat. We enjoyed the range of meats the server brought round and the salad bar which had lots to offer including different sauaces and veg to go along with the meat. Great service and even got a graduation drink

I would recommend Rio's brizzillian steakhouse in Jesmond to anyone! The food is always delicious and the staff are amazing and very friendly. The whole building is very clean and tidy. Trish who served us was very attentive, very polite and such a delight to talk to, she is a credit to your team, we will definitely be back again!

My husband and I were here for dinner on Friday 5th of October. We had such a fantastic experience and was one of the best meals out we’ve ever had! So much so, we didn’t want to leave!! An hour and a half was not long enough - we really could have spent all evening there!! 🙈 We have never ever experienced the high level of service anywhere like we did here, it really was next level. All the staff were extremely accommodating and attentive, especially to me being pregnant. We are from Scotland and going to give the Edinburgh one a try, let’s hope it’s just as good as Jesmond. Thank you so much again for a lovely evening.

Wow, what a treat! I just had an unforgettable experience at this Brazilian steakhouse. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The atmosphere was buzzing, making it a fantastic place to enjoy a meal. Now, let's talk about the food—absolutely delicious! The meat was top quality, and I loved every bite. The Bife Ancho and Picanha were especially standout dishes, tender and bursting with flavour. The salad bar was impressive too, offering a great selection. I can't forget to mention the drinks! The Movie Star Martini and Salted Caramel Martini were both beautifully presented and tasted divine. Really, you can't go wrong with any of their cocktails. The vibe was just right, clean, and vibrant, making me want to linger and enjoy every moment. I left feeling totally satisfied and already planning my next visit. Highly recommend for anyone in the mood for an exceptional meal!

My second time at a Rio's Steakhouse. Absolutely love the concept and the buffet salad selection is amazing, would happily pay just for that to be fair. Meat is always lush and the staff are always friendly. It's far from cheap but as a rare treat its always great.

Amazing service and friendly staff

Felt very rushed the meats came out so fast we couldn't enjoy it. Then we had been in fir 1 hour 35 mins when the waitress came over and said we aren't trying to hurry you but we need the table back, we still had over half a bottle of wine left. Not impressed.

First off the meat is outstanding complimented with a well stocked salad bar, the staff are very attentive without being intrusive. It sounds a cliché but I can't recommend highly enough

Absolutely lovely all you can eat steakhouse. The staff come up to your table every five minutes with something new. All meats are absolutely delicious and there's plenty of choice at the salad bar with rice, fish and vegetables.

Bland meats, the gimmick of unlimited steak/meat is a bit of a con. It would be much better for those of you who enjoy fine cuts of meat to go to a steak house and pay for a nice piece of meat. The salad bar is nice though!

Anna and her team were fantastic, the staff so, so friendly, remembering I like ice in my wine after the first ask!!!! Informative, first time to a restuarant like this, funny, I would go back just to see the staff again. We were a large, noisy group of friends and family and had a great time. As a mother of a toddler, I like to go to restaurants where I trust the methods that the food is prepped, cooked and presented. My daughter absolutely loves everything at Rio’s. I would say she is crazy about the lamb, devours the salmon (auntie gave her a little bit), nicked prawns from her mum, eats feijoada like if it was her last meal. Obviously there was fresh veggies on her plate but I’m gonna be honest… when she saw the passador Ireneu with the famous picanha, she got a hold of the tongs and actually went for it! Ireneu was very gentle and careful for her to carry this out and her eyes were just shinning! Me and my family could not praise enough the treatment that we always have from staff. Today we had Zsófia and Bárbara, always very polite and with a smile to give away. They went to the table to ask if everything was alright and if we wanted more drinks and dessert, but also gave the space for us to be able to enjoy the food. The new creme brûlée is really nice and the presentation is really creative! Go to Rio’s , you will enjoy it! And your kids too!! Ps. This is Ivy’s first review and all I can think about it is “bring me more meat”

Food is delicious here, good choices of what you can get! Plenty different types of meat on offer, the salad bar was nice (and I'm normally a salad dodger) and the desserts were beautiful! Unfortunately I forgot to take photos of the meat dishes! The staff that come to your table with meat choices were great and the other staff were very helpful! My only complaint (and it is minor) is that it did feel a little bit chaotic with staff walking round with different meat all the time! But that's just me, I tend to like to be left alone when I'm eating!

Have been there when I was pregnant. The food is delicious. The meat is impeccable. The staff is super professional. I had a really good time with my mum in February 2024. And now on July 2024 I am going back to celebrate my birthday. If you have never been in a Brazilian Steak house, that is your chance to have an experience that you will really enjoy !

I have been here several times either friends ds and family. food is usually great but this time most of the steaks all tasted the same either over seasonsed or under seasoned. The salad/sides bar has alot of variety prawns, salmon, deviled eggs, breads, cheeses, salami, rice and veg etc. Atmosphere is great,temp was nice and cool not too warm. Nice cocktails ole.ty to choose from. Will be back

Vibrant restaurant with (obviously) a South American flavour. Friendly and welcoming with a lovely salad bar and a constant service of a selection of meats. All I would recommend is not eating too much before you go - save your appetite!
