Just had a large fish and chips,5 minute wait but it was worth it, lovely moist perfectly cooked piece of cod and fluffy chips 10 out of 10.

Best fish and chips ,was really good and freshly cooked .The small portion was huge aswell .Great value.

Had fish and chips, best ever chips, soft and fluffy inside lovely and crispy outside,fish was lovely, friendly staff, everything was brilliant.

Had fish, chips, real mushy peas and gravy, lovely, lovely chips not white and underdone no taste like others, crispy big tasty fish and lovely gravy, def be back 🥰

Had fish and chips today, plus onion rings. Once again cooked to perfection. Delicious. Lovely friendly family business. Best chippy in the North East, origin of your fish displayed on the chalk board.

Went here after reading the reviews its a bit out the way but it was a windy night so being able to sit in was a bonus. The fish and chips are some of the best ever tasted especially the fish it was exceptional. I had the lite bite (smaller fish, smaller chips) and I was stuffed. Was delicious and the staff proper north east friendliness highly recommend

Went for the first time and was impressed with the quality of the fish and chips. Yes cod .Flaky White chunks of freshly cooked COD in a crisp batter. (not greasy ) We have been back and yes it was not a one off. Consistent quality. You can ring your order in for collection as it is cooked fresh. No web site but they have a face book page for the telephone number. Prices have not been updated on the FB page . Cod and Chips £6.20 about the say as the competition. This place is Fish and Chips not kebabs , pizzas and unknown white fish like some. Give it a go you will not be disappointed.

Only recently opened but what a great chippy. The couple running it couldn’t be more cheerful and the shop is really nice with eat in facilities as well as takeaway. I get the skinny fish and chips and they are great every time. I now won’t go anywhere else.

Sat in for fish n chips nice n clean always use this fish shop when want chip takeaway. Food is spot on couple who run it always pleasant no complaints

Freshly cooked fish to order and double dipped chips we have tried a few local fish& chip shop's if I'm honest i would say its 1 of the best might go further and say the BEST. Give them a try you wont be disappointed.

Found out about this place when looking on the internet for a chip shop close to where our daughter lives. We were not disappointed the shop is very clean the staff are extremely pleasant and most importantly the fish and chips are great.

This fish and chip shop is the best. The fish is always so fresh (always freshly cooked too) and the chips are lovely. Would highly recommend!

This is the only place i can eat chippy chips that don't make me throw up. They are not greasy at all, unlike most other chip shops. My stomach is sensitive to grease and that puts me off ever having a full portion but i manage to eat them from here without any problems afterwards. The fish is lovely so is the sausage and the gravy is nice and thick just how I like it. By far the best chippy around.

Recommended by my foodie brother in law who was raving about how good the fish was, so I decided to give it a try and have been three times now and each time the fish and chips have been consistently good every time. This I my local from now on.

We love going to malt and salt! The couple who run it are so nice and the food is so fresh and tasty!

Every time I go whether it’s early on or just before they close as I just manage to catch them as I finish work, whatever I get is always fresh and not greasy with plenty of labour.

The best fish and chips, ever. Named trawler that landed your fish. Light bite, smaller portion filled me up nicely. All freshly cooked. Friendly staff.

I've visited the Fish Restaurant three times now and each time the food has been delicious.
