The best restaurants in Low Fell Gateshead North East

Well, after 64 years on this planet, I may have found the best Indian meal - Shahi Tukra at The Monsoon, Low Fell. We've eaten at this cosy restaurant lots of times, and I've never had a bad one. But this has set a very high standard for every meal to come. Delicious chicken breast in a lovely sauce including Spanish Onions which just gave it a hint of sweetness among the delightful (medium hot) sauce. Highly recommended 5* in my books

Showed up for pur booking for a joint birthday meal to find the restaurant closed, in darkness, no sign on the door. They never contacted us to save us a journey. When I tried to call no one answered. Messaged them on messenger and Instagram to be responded with a screenshot of their Facebook post saying it's closed due to unforseen circumstances. Not even a typed message. No apology. This is our third attempt to go to this restaurant. We spent a birthday night trying to get into any other restaurant on the fell, all were booked, so found a takeaway pizza and left it there. Unforseen circumstances happen but the lack of communication, the rude screenshot response with no apology, it's not ok. This restaurant seems to have bitten off more than they can chew if leaving a note on a door for customers is too much to ask.

Bit of a late review as recently joined. Went on my mates stag do. Great atmosphere, but cant really remember much. What I do remember, was good. Its a nice place for starting your evening.

We ordered a buffet for the Kings coronation at blenhiem court and it was excellent no complaints staff were very present will order a buffet food again

Ordered a pizza and chicken wrap waited an hour, the pizza was ok the wrap was cold and the edges were all hard, phoned up they sent another which we waited another half hour for, the second one was just the same cold with 5 pieces of hard chicken in, I won't be using them again.

My son gets chicken burgers from here and they are always lovely. Staff are also very friendly and welcoming

Got a normal kebab and chips and a kebab butty i wasn't expecting much but it's the nicest I've ever had and the chili sauce is lovely

Nice fish shop but on few occasions like today we called asked for chicken burger to be put in instead of standing waiting for ages, the older lady said I put it straight in for you I stated we be 10 mins, when we got there no chicken burger in no apology or explanation we had to wait 35mins I feel I need to write this as it's not 1st time it's 4th time not happy as was in hurry

very average, pizza almost cold, chips cold, chicken just ok. won't order again.

The food was lovely and the delivery said 60 minutes but arrived in less than 20 minutes, definitely the new favourite to go to locally

I am dreading tomorrow morning. Just had the worst Chinese meal in mm life from here. The ribs were swimming in a tasteless sauce, The Satay skewers were the same and disgusting so went in the bin, tasted nothing like satay sauce. The house special honey and chilli sauce was disgusting and went in the bin. The only decent thing was the prawn crackers which were free.
