Absolutely wonderful! I'm so happy to have come across this lovely little café, the person who served us was so friendly and welcoming and the food is so good! There's a wide variety of vegan friendly options, homemade and locally sourced food and drinks, Honeymans of Bowburn is a true gem in the community! We'll definitely be going back in future 🥰 Thank you! Update: Edit to add photos after second visit (mince pie, sausage and mustard pasty, apple and berry turnovers if I remember right!) Easily 5*, had a lovely chat with the owner and delicious food at very reasonable prices. I've had both dine in and take away food from here, good for any meal of the day, snacks or packed lunches for work/picnics etc. I happily recommend them to everyone!

Lovely cafe for coffee and cake

We go lt a takeaway through uber eats, we saw the reviews were half decent so thought we would give it a go. The tikka masala was not like anything I had ever had from an Indian before, tasted nothing like what we have had in many other restaurants and really wasn't to my taste. Meat was a bit thin on the ground, mainly sauce. Enjoyed the onion Bhaji, nice and crisp and well done. I was however disgusted at the portion size of tandoori king prawns, 4 king prawns as a main course is a joke and it cost £13.95... they tasted canny but 14 quid for four prawns is absolutely insane and enough to put me off every returning here. Keema naan looked like it was shown a picture of meat before hitting the tandoor, it was almost nonexistent, garlic naan wasn't well flavoured either. Will definitely stick to the spice lounge, capital or even Coxhoe corner as they all run rings around this place.... Waste of £47

The hotel, grounds & lodges are excellent. The service is great & staff are friendly & make you welcome. The interior of the hotel has interesting features including pictures and the light-fittings. The menu is extensive there is something to suit all tastes. We dinned in the restaurant & were very pleased with our choices well done chef.

Fue cálidamente recibido por Rich y Claire a su llegada. Nos alojamos por una noche y era exactamente lo que necesitaba, habitación estaba bien surtida con té y café apropiado! (una vista rara en los hoteles en estos días! ) La habitación también estaba bien climatizada para la época del año. Desayuno - un montón de opciones disponibles, incluyendo una opción vegetariana y vegana.

Costa chai latte is the best its warm cosy inviting and food is always fresh

Decent Chinese. Portion sizes are immense as you'd expect. I've not sampled the whole menu, but everything I've had has been great.

Thank you italian farmhouse managers and staff. What an outstanding service I have had. I hired italian farmhouse for my daughters birthday and from start to finish the service I received was amazing. I was unsure of what I wanted and kept swapping and changing my mind not once was I made to feel this was an issue,I just in the end decided I wanted something basic and simple like sausage rolls, wedges, sandwiches. I got this with the fun element for kids making their own pizza! They loved it and went down a treat! I have a niece who I didnt inform had a nut allergy ( my bad ) they were prepared to clean all surfaces allow us to check ingredients and make something for her but understandably said whilst they would do their best they couldn't guarantee so we declined and they allowed us to order in a pizza, this obviously is someones business but I feel to do this they want more than just money they want to give and make customers feel valued and welcome I was so impressed. Staff constantly checked everything was ok, constantly asked if anything else was needed they were prompt in bringing out food and keeping the area clean and tidy, nothing at all seemed to be a bother to them. I also had a courtesy call making sure all had went ok as I'd changed my mind that many times. Thank you so much italian farmhouse for an amazing memory for my little girl. We will most definitely be becoming regulars!

Came up from the Midlands to celebrate our son's birthday. We have a saying that we never have a bad meal in the North and that still stands. Portion size is more than adequate and the quality is amazing, as is the price. We will certainly be back.

NEW MANAGEMENT!! Truly excellent!! Wonderful, warm and welcoming!! Fabulous food, wonderful vibe- the archetypal English Village Pub!! Delicious vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options and the meat eater well taken care of!!!

OK if a little bit antiseptic and lacking in character. Lots of staff about but I was told the slow service a result of them being on lunch - at 12:30??

I don't even live in Bowburn but it's well worth the travel as my local pizza place has gone from average to terrible. Food is delicious and the staff are always friendly. Highly recommended
