The best restaurants in Merton London

Popped in whilst visiting our son who lives locally. Great service and good choice of drinks for us to have. Tasting of beer was offered and the selections were enjoyed and despite us only going to be staying for one, we stayed for three. Didn’t eat on this visit. Sky was being installed and this will be great addition to the pub. We drank our beer, played some games and felt very comfortable in a traditional but modern pub. Well done to the landlord.

The dosa was over cooked (burnt) and tasted bad. I used to order food from WatchMe and this was the first time I experienced such a bad quality food. I will think twice before ordering again from them.

This is the second time I have had food from China Garden. The first, was an all you can eat, dine in. This, was a takeaway for 2 people. We were both craving a carb filled treat but were not satisfied… To keep with the veggie Jan them3, We ordered: Prawn balls - more like tempura prawns (very small) Veggie chowmein - steady Egg fried rice - steady Chips - soggy and a very small portion Satay sauce - steady Curry sauce - weak and uninspiring Overall, this whole meal was bland and not up to what I was expecting. Such a shame as my previous dine in here was great !!

Excellent food as usual and the restaurant was really accommodating of my request to get the order earlier than the app suggested.

The fox and grapes is a very nice place to eat. We ordered the sirloin of beef unfortunately it was very tough and chewy. We both had difficulty cutting the meat. I left quite a lot of the meat and ordered a pudding for both of us it was apple crumble what I didn’t know is how hot the outside of the bowl was and burnt both fingers. All in all it was a disappointing lunch and an expensive mistake.

Lovely setting for a pub & restaurant and went with friends on an autumn afternoon. Service was fine but the food was a real let down. For the price it was nowhere near where it should be. A chicken dish came swimming in some tasteless broth. I don't think that was the intent when it was put on the menu but that's what we got from the chef. Disappointing.

Cold chicken mainly bone horrible never again and won’t refund me ended up in the bin don’t waste time or money

Preordered food 7 days in advance of event. Arrived at venue at 7pm and got served 1hr later with drinks and food arrived at 9pm 2hrs later! My poor 85 year old father nearly fell asleep. 3 orders of Salt and pepper wings were uncooked and bloody and thai green curry order as mild came as spicy. Please can Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares come and sort this establishment out. Was so tired of all the mistakes with the food and orders it put me off eating. Night spoilt. The worse things is this place could be really great. Too many items on the menu makes it hard to keep up. Family member coming back to you on Sunday to get the bill.
