Usually order from here every few months and never have a problem .. last night ordered me and my partner decided we would get a delivery for mothers day as a treat for myself and it came missing with a couple of items which was a let down but not the end of the world. And we ate our curry but it had a bit of an unusual taste but we were both really hungry and thought maybe someone different had cooked and just their approach on flavour . Unfortunately both myself and him have woken up feeling very unwell .

Never order online from here there delivery drivers too abusive I’ve ordered food from there at 11 pm in the night delivery driver came to my home around 11:45 pm he was too rude and shouting in front of my house and aggressively coming towards me and I’ve called restaurant they said they don’t know their staff names either please avoid online at nights for safety concerns

No complaints. Staff were nice. Really delicious, fresh food. Lots of choice. Sometimes everything tastes quite samey at a buffet but all these dishes have their own distinct flavour. My highlights were the sides (sag aloo, mushroom bhaji) and the lamb korai. The meat was nice and tender in all the dishes. I tried almost everything except the korma and the tandoori chicken. First time customer and will be coming back.

Cheap and quality foods but the staff can be better I was 1 hour in the restaurant and nobody asked me if I wanted some drinks

Cheap food at average quality, everything is fine at the restaurant and worth visiting, the staff are rushed because it was busy when we went but quite helpful, the food was average quality it needs to be a bit spicier some was ok but on the whole a bit bland, I gave them overall 4☆ because of the £10.99 price, as its very cheap for what you get, but for food quality I would give 3☆.

I ****ing love this place. It's my favourite curry restaurant. I have eaten here for at least 5 years and a lot more in the last 2 or 3. It's delicious and filling. I'm never unsatisfied.

Now I love the food, but please don't order delivery you WILL be waiting more than 2hrs! It's great value for money. But our last order took 3hrs and the delivery driver was rude. We love taz and like I said the foods really nice. Don't delivery there too busy and they forget to cook your order untill you've rang 10 times. Delivery will always be 10mins

Ordered a takeaway away at 5.50pm still waiting at 8pm , no apology,in fact put the phone down twice when I enquired,do yourself a favour and order elsewhere, service has certainly gone down hill,shame as excellent food,but il look elsewhere

Superb meal, reasonably priced and great service.

Wide range of options available if you're up for experimenting. Lovely ambiance and great service. My palate is more of traditional Indian, so I had to bite chilies throughout the dinner as most of the dishes were not as spicy as I would have liked. It's understandable though, as most of the customers were locals coming in with kids. I loved the saag chicken, chicken jalfrezi and the chicken tikka biryani. They also have a range of vegetarian options. Really good value for money, so definitely give it a go. I personally might not be back anytime soon, as I traveled for more than an hour and had slightly more expectations.

Came here just yesterday. I now visit between 4 - 5 times a year once 2023. Certain dishes have vastly improved and taste better. The service is good and the staff almost feel like old friends when you visit. Really liking this place! Highly recommend visit in the evening at about 9pm onwards in December if you like a quiet ambience.

Great restaurant and atmosphere

Quality of food was not good at all. Very limited options in Buffett.. No desserts in Buffet. Price was almost 17 pounds per head which was also high as per the service. Spent £132 pounds ....

**BE WARNED** - order at your peril.We live 775m from this 'restaurant' - a 3 min drive. We ordered a takeaway meal with delivery for 2 people @ 17:38pm - not a large order. Their website stated that delivery would be at 18:38pm. We waited until 18.48pm & then I called and spoke to the 'manager'. He said the driver had left, so we waited. At 19.04pm I called and spoke to the 'manager' again and he said I hadnt spoken to him (must have 2 managers!!). He said the food had just left. We received our order at 19.05pm - 1 hour 25 mins after ordering. Our food had leaked in the bag (due to poor packing) and it was COLD. Even the nan bread in the foil pouch was cold. We will never order from this bunch of liars again. There are other Indian takeaways in this area, be careful who you spend your money with.

Mixed feelings on this. Tandoori King Prawn was delicious but only 4 prawns. Tandoori Seabass was huge and tasty but wasn't expecting the head to still be on it. King prawn curry was weird. The prawns were tender but I wouldn't describe it as a curry sauce. It kind of reminded me of lentil soup. Garlic nan was ok. Bags of salad were rancid. Arrived within an hour of ordering and was hot.

Ordered food to be delivered. Not the first time it's over an hour late, this time it was an hour and half. Didn't want it at this point, requested a refund. Not even an apology from the staff. Really disappointed as the food is usually OK.

I have been a regular customer of this establishment for many years but I'm afraid the place has gone down hill some what. Terrible watery Curry's with little to virtually no meat, just fillers like vegetables , pepper's and halved tomatoes.ffs. plus wrong order's, missing items and was that's the last order. Great place for gluttons ! Endless buffet, good food, Big choice of dishes, Place is clean with nice tablecloths and you can take your own booze as they don't have a drinks licence. Great value !

As the old saying goes “you get what you pay for” and that’s certainly the case with this buffet, I really wanted to like the food here as the staff were polite and accommodating, unfortunately the food is just not up to par… tandoori chicken was so dry it was inedible and a few of the other dishes were cold and tasteless

The worst service one can expect from any restaurant we have visited so far. Food tasted horrible but what was even worse was the service where there was only one waiter who hardly responded. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

The Princess of India was a great place and experience for a family and friends venue. The food was very good, presented in lidded containers so you had individual choices. There was a good range of Indian food and salad . If you want alcohol, take your own. Soft drinks available. Price for all you can eat plus poppadoms and chutneys was just over £15. Nò photos taken as we were busy chatting! Very nice evening.

Excellent service and great food! Mahdi was an excellent host who served me well and had a good chat with me. I was also helped by the other staff who helped me to know which dishes contained nuts (due to my allergy). But the best thing about this place is the value of its buffet. Great food, good service and excellent value. I highly recommend!

Great food, amazing value and lovely hosts. Frequent visitor over the years and I'm still amazed at the variety of options available.

I'll start by saying you will get better microwave meals from Tesco. Dry over cooked chicken in Kumar mushroom rice under cooked mushrooms and that was enuf for my body to reject this food I was sick🤮🤮 like food poisoning type . Good by the Princess of India 👎🏽 I could have added the sick picture but that would not be godly.

Good restaurant, the price was very low for the buffet so we didn't expect good food like this. The quality could be better but it was still a great experience. The restaurant is large and there are quite a few choices. We had a pleasant evening

Booked a table for 5 people at 1830, arrived on time and said to staff we called up and booked a table. Staff walked off and came back and said there’s no space, wait 5 mins. Waited 5mins and still no table for us. Me and my party was happy to not to eat at this restaurant, so I said to staff we’re going to leave. Staff said it’s going to be only 5 mins more as they just ordered dessert!!! Gonna take more than 5 mins to eat dessert as guests at table wasn’t rushing. Why should they? Staff very poor, spoken in their own language in front of me when I was telling them we’re about to leave. Very rude. Only sad thing is I actually like the restaurant and food but after this I shall not be going back there and advising people not to go. Me and my party had a nice meal at wimpys instead 😊

Nice Indian food and cheap buffet

We have ordered so many times from here. Sometimes they get the order really wrong. We have tried a variety of other takeaways. We ended up disappointed. So to be fair even though they mess up we are loyal princess of India customers. They just do the best food.

I travelled about 40 miles to visit this restaurant after seeing a great review on the 'Gary Eats' youtube channel. I would never have known about it otherwise. He's right. The buffet food is really good, the prices are very reasonable, with good service and a warm atmosphere. There's nothing to dislike. I often order dhansak in Indian restaurants. Their buffet dhansak tasted better than most!

We’ve been using this restaurant for a quite a number of years and have always been very impressed with the quality of the food. Unfortunately the delivery service has gone downhill and absolutely appalling. The last two orders have taken over two hours to arrive and the food has been stone cold. Really disappointing as we have always loved visiting Taz and his team at the restaurant but we are now going elsewhere.

I came back to Princes of India after fees years away. The food is value for money and it is an excellent buffet. The best I know in London. Very professional staff

Ordered dinner for our anniversary and this restaurant ruined our mood completely. Saag paneer had sugar more than spice, same goes with tandoori roti. In lamb biryani they forgot to add the pieces. Such a low class food

Chicken tika masala was to tomatoes samosa was doughy not great

Garlic chicken was tasting of raw garlic so strong,tandoori chicken was so dry from inside looks like it was cooked yesterday and served today. Biryani was more of oil and no salt and did not taste like biryani. Very bad experience.

Firstly the food quality is very poor in the buffet. It is cold or like warm and the tandoori chicken was dry. When we raised the fact the rice and chicken was cold, we were told to “take from the bottom”. The chicken tikka masala had boiled chicken rather than grilled. The lamb was tough in the curry and the dansak was watery. The naan was cut in to small pieces like crisps which is ridiculous. I would never return or recommend here as you are better of getting a ready meal curry from a supermarket. Food was bland

Love this place, great value buffet

I've been a frequent visitor to this place numerous times, but my recent experience was utterly disappointing. It appears their primary focus has shifted to maximizing profits at the expense of food quality, rendering nearly all their dishes tasteless. Despite its name, "Princess of India," there's a stark contrast as their food lacks any Desi or Asian essence. Instead, it caters more to local or European tastes, devoid of any authentic flavor. Interestingly, despite the Indian name, the establishment is run by Bangladeshi staff and the menu doesn't reflect the heritage. The £10.99 buffet price seemed exorbitant when considering the poor quality and bland taste of the offerings. While the ambiance was decent, it was marred by excessive noise. I reminisce about a time seven or eight years ago when their food had genuine taste appealing to a diverse range of palates. Sadly, now it's solely tailored to local preferences and doesn't resonate with Indian, Pakistani, or Bangladeshi cuisines anymore. My recommendation: prioritize improving quality over chasing profits. Disappointing experience overall.

Good selection of dishes, just wished the food was hotter (in heat) on my latest visit. Oh and wished they didn't cut the nan breads into strips, cut in half would be better

I went few day ago with 4 adults 1 kid and 1 baby Restaurant charge us for 5 adults this is ok as she is 10 years old but they charge 16 months old for kids price £7.99. First time in my life that restaurant charge a baby for kids price. I went to many restaurants it always start from 2 years old or you can charge for baby price separate.

Worlds Worst food i ever tried please Don't go again

Some food items were cold eg chips,onion bhajis. Air conditioning could have been reduced a little. Staff should be a bit more attentive. I was in a group of 4, they all got their drinks when ordered but I had to wait a bit longer for mine.....it was only a orange juice! Plus a smile would be nice. As a person who works in hospitality, it was a OK experience. I MIGHT come back.

Been coming here for over 20 years... buffet options have increased over the years and are good value for their price. Cost effective approach, and always the a la carte menu if you don't fancy the buffet. Mr Taz is a star, and the place is always packed evenings and weekends... highly recommend

Excellent range of buffet dishes, chicken,lamb,prawn & veg curries. Tandoori chicken and fresh onion salad very good. No longer serves alcohol but you can byo.

Affordable food on great price unlimited buffet

Ordered online at 16.53 pm for a 19.30 delivery time. Having waited over one hour and several phonecalls later our order finally arrived but unfortunately it was cold and tasteless. No response from the restaurant. Very disappointed customer

Very cheap buffet, only £9.99 and quite a lot of options to choose from. The dessert is not oart of the buffet. There was something called 'sweet doughball' which was just sweet dough ball. Good value for the price.

Ordered of Uber eats food arrived stone cold and got to say we never ate any of it!!!!! I have never tasted anything so ransid one mouthful was enough tried to contact Uber eats for refund but still waiting to get reply xx never again

Visited here today (Thursday 5.15pm) for their £9.95 buffet, a party of 4 adults and we were all very pleasantly surprised. Attentive staff, atmosphere lost a star because of some noisy kids (but that's not really the restaurants fault), a virgin Pina Colada that wasn't great but not bad, a lassi that was definitely ok and a mango juice that was also ok, so the drinks were ok, maybe a little pricey but you expect that at a buffet anyway. However, the food choice was very impressive. If you remember Jimmy Spices or JRC then this place shames them...honestly! I've reviewed around the world (read my other reviews) and I always call it as I see it and for the money this was without doubt the best value for money buffet I've had....full stop. So you might ask, why only 4 stars on the food? Well, the chicken dhansak was spicier than the lamb madras and neither gave me a sweat which I would have hoped for from at least one of the offerings. However, there's a lot of offerings, korma, tikka masala, Madras, dhansak to name a few but there was a prawn dish, tandoori chicken (legs and thighs), onion bhajis, mushroom bhaji, 3 different rice, some aloos, all told about 20 items to choose from (in my photo each container has 2 items in). Now, honestly none of the dishes were the best version of the dish I've ever had BUT the variety, flavours and amount of meat mean this is definitely one of the best Indian meals I've had for anywhere close to the money. Full disclosure, I do love having a spoon (couple of meat chunks) per dish / curry for the different flavours so this is an ideal place for me. My wife and I will definitely be back, maybe have to limit ourselves for weight gain reasons but that would be the only reason. Try it, you won't be disappointed. One last thing, I'm not sure if they serve alcohol, I was driving so didn't look too hard but didn't spot it on the drink menu.
