Watch Me Restaurant in Merton

The dosa was over cooked (burnt) and tasted bad. I used to order food from WatchMe and this was the first time I experienced such a bad quality food. I will think twice before ordering again from them.

This restaurant is notorious for taking ages to deliver their food. Will most likely not be ordering takeaways from them in future !

We had a lovely meal here. Service was friendly and well timed. The food was excellent with a good range of options. You can park in the nearby pub car park but there is a change.

I never write reviews good or bad. I ordered my food at around 20:20 and after a rather delayed delivery it has finally turned up at 22:00, I understand busy Saturday night combined with traffic I will survive. However the food that turned up was a mixture of temperatures cold rice, warm curry, cold samosas. Nothing was hot. Chips were sweaty which caused the bag to rip. I’ve been throwing up all morning and for the record I have the stomach of an urban fox. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. NEVER AGAIN

I felt welcomed warmly on entry. The decor (fish tanks) really lovely.... The fish cutlets and rice dish main was very nice, not so heavy....I absolutely love Sri Lankan food...having had some home-cooked Sri Lankan food in the past too. But what made the visit for me was being able to ask lots of questions about the Sri Lankan culture and life in general of the the lady. The exchange was lovingly palatable with every bite of food. Thank you and keep your beautiful light shining.....the freedom to be kindness to whomever walks through the door.

We had a lovely meal here. The service was friendly and timely. The food was excellent. They had a good range of dishes to choose from and the chicken was perfectly cooked. i plan to return.

I live locally and love coming to this restaurant. It seems to open all day at weekends and we ended up coming here at 4.30 on a Saturday afternoon. It was quiet. The waiters are always friendly and lovely. The House noodles and the Masala Dosa are my favourites so I had the noodles and shared the dosa with a friend. For me that is culinary heaven. I am not Sri Lankan but this does seem to be a real Sri Lankan community hangout. I would love to know how long this restaurant has been open -at least 25 years I think. I hope it outlasts me!

Absolutely, first class, as always, meal at this restaurant, with a friend. Service, was, as per usual, first class. Friend’s starter of Chicken 65, was apparently superb. Mains and sides - Egg Hoppers Mutton Ceylon Seafood Kottu (sensational) Potato Ceylon Chilli Paneer Fish and Egg Cutlets All were delicious. Fantastic restaurant.

I regularly buy their biryani dishes in their menu, especially the Sri Lankan biryanis which is excellent. I must say though their delivery can be a bit sporadic to meet the stated deadlines. I tend to now order an extra 30 mins in advance. However the food is excellent.

Once again I have to say the food quality is fantastic but I’m afraid to say that the delivery time was 10 minutes outside the advertised 20 minute range and the food was unfortunately a bit cold. I don’t think the restaurant is to blame. I have regularly used UberEats and not had this problem, but now twice in a row from Just Eat. I’m not sure if I will try a third time.

The food arrived during the suggested delivery time but it was a bit cold. I do not blame the restaurant for this as this is an excellent restaurant with fantastic food but I suspect it was ready before the delivery person was able to get to it.

Food was cold on arrival, some was luke warm at best. Which means it was sitting there, ready and cooked for a while before it was delivered.

I ordered at 9pm. They called me at 11pm and saying mutton rolls are not available. I called the restaurant at 10pm to enquire about the late . They said it’s out and will be there in few minutes. Very poor service . My kids were starving.

we are still waiting for food, ordered 5.30, nearly 2 hours still not here. when rang the restaurant they told us it wouldnt be long, that was 20 minutes ago. i have a child that goes to bed at 7:30. it says on the app enjoy your food before 7, there is no food.

I used to go to Watch Me very often before pandemic with relatives and colleagues (working near by ) and the food was amazing. After 2 years, i decided to check out yesterday the renovation and the food again. The place definitely looks more beautiful now than before with great interior decor. However I was let down by the food. Being a vegetarian, I ordered my usual favorite dish Vegetable briyani and the taste was quite poor but the WORSE thing was there were some tiny snails shells!!!! What a horror!!!. Luckily they were on my (non veg) friend who immediately asked us NOT TO EAT !!!! I was very disappointed with the whole experience as this was the first time we took our friends there and it did not go well. I will definitely not try Watch Me for some time.....unfortunately :(

Delicious, hot, flavoursome and interesting.

My food arrived 45 minutes before the time I requested it and so I wasn’t in. My housemate had to collect it from the delivery driver and it was then cold when I came to ate it. The chicken had a slightly ‘bounciness’ to it, making me think it may be undercooked. The sauce on the chicken Ceylon was so watery and bland. Very disappointing meal in an area where there are so many good curry restaurants.

Worst experience with Just Eat out of dozens of orders. Food was ridiculously late, and I suspect would have been even later if I hadn't phoned the restaurant to chase. Food was not hot when it arrived.

Excellent refurbishment - venue now looks slick and modern. For a Sunday, it was busy with a good atmosphere inside. Chapati, Chilli Paneer, Potato Ceylon and Fish Rolls - all superb. Staff as nice as always.

Amazing food. So yummy. I just wish the delivery time was quicker. We had to wait over a hour and a half. But in the end, it was worth the wait!

Staggeringly good takeaway from this fine establishment, once again. Fish Cutlets, Fish Rolls, Potato Ceylon and Chilli Panner - all sublime. Service, as ever, affable and quick. Highly enjoyable.

Excellent takeaway, collected, on a return from London. The refurb, inside, is still ongoing, however, the kitchen is fully functioning, and the venue is very much doing takeaways - for collection and delivery. Excellent Chilli Paneer starter - and the main of Potato Ceylon and Fish and Egg Cutlets, as superb as ever!

After a lengthy day of work, then family ‘drama’, it was time for yet another fine takeaway from this fantastic venue! I’ve never once had, even, an average meal from here - every time - superb food of the highest order. No hyperbole! Starter of Chilli Paneer - excellent amount of Paneer cubes with a fiery medley of other ingredients - as hot as the dear dear actress Emmanuelle Chriqui ! Having held off eating during the day, I felt it had been too long since I last paid a visit here - the food has always been fantastic. Spicy grub was very much required - so a Chilli Paneer as a takeaway starter. Delicious and superb! Next up, my favourite combo - Fish and Egg Rolls, Fish Cutlets with a side of Potato Ceylon. This is Manna from God to me - exceptional. Staff are always highly decent, and food cooked rapidly. As the great sage, Alan Partridge would say - ‘Ten on ten.....Ah-haaaaa!’

After a ‘day’ spent ‘shackled’ to a desk in an office in London (yawn), when I should have been ‘unleashed’ and ‘roaming’ Western Europe, there was only one thing that was needed, on the way back home......yet another fantastic takeaway from this gem of a restaurant..... I’ve been using this restaurant for the last 5-6 years, on the recommendation of a friend and owner of an off-licence in the Esher area. He was right and accurate about how good the food is. I decided to go for something a bit different, so opted for the Chilli Paneer, Saag Paneer, along with Potato Ceylon and a Paratha. Absolutely delicious across the board, and top notch as usual. Service - always good, and very very speedy. Brilliant.

Actually made me start a trip advisor account just to leave the review. I have been going to a Sri Lankan in tooting and a friend told me about this one. Wasn’t disappointed at all seen bad reviews for Deliveroo and don’t think that’s fair as it’s not the restaurant and while I was there food was waiting for drivers so can’t blame them. I don’t like spice so they changed it for me too and my children also loved it which they don’t normally.

Best Sri Lankan Drove past and saw they was doing take away. Food was yummy and even took home one of there Sri Lankan beers which I really enjoyed too. Look forward to a meal in the restaurant once it’s all done up!

Popped in two nights ago to get a take away and they are actually doing the whole place up! Absolutely delicious. One of the only places that still home make there samosas and they are full of meat and the veg ones are delicious too. Best Sri Lankan restaurant around for me. And the atmosphere is brilliant.

Después de conducir de regreso desde Londres, y estar decepcionado de que el BK en Colliers Wood solo tuviera un menú Drive Thru ’muy limitado, estaba más que encantado de descubrir que el magnífico Watch Me había reabierto.Las chuletas de pescado y los panecillos estaban deliciosamente picantes, una vez más, y el Potato Ceylon era excelente.¡Fantástico! ! !

After a long day, what better than a superb Sri Lankan curry! Fish and egg cutlets were truly superb, The Sag Paneer really spicy unlike Indian/Bangladeshi versions. The Prawn Ceylon - superb and fiery. Rapid service - a most enjoyable late meal.

Useless service from Watch Me. Ordered via Deliveroo and order was late. Called restaurant and individual answering phone couldn’t understand English well and couldn’t hear me with all the background noise at the restaurant. Everything was chaotic and disorganised and will never be ordering from Watch Me again.

We are very unhappy with the service we received tonight. We ordered a takeaway at 5.45 and it did not arrive till 8.15.

After a very good day, what better than to accompany a viewing of both ‘The Guest’ and ‘Logan Lucky’, than a fine takeaway from this establishment.

A week later, I am still dealing withthe consequences of food poisoning at Watch Me on Morden Road. I had the prawn saag though I also took a small bite of the mutton saag before realizing thry had brought the wrong dish. When paying the bill, it was clear that the waiter had entered mutton rather than prawn and thst the kitchen was not at fault for the wrong dish. The kichen was at fault for the food poisoning, presumably.

First visit in a party of 4. Service was a bit slow but the restaurant was busy and you could see a lot of takeaways going. Waiters were super friendly and helpful. Food was tasty and hot. Bill was reasonable. Would recommend.

Had a good time with Lion larger + Kotthu roti after. It was good and enjoyed. Even mixed fried rice was good. Not happy with the curries... it was too thick and same taste.

Our regular favourite curry house. The food is good and also good value, the many families eating there a good sign, the Lion Stout is always excellent, the service relaxed and friendly.

Myself and my boyfriend visited yesterday evening and had a lovely meal. The Ceylon curries are very tasty, also the string hoppers and the Daal. Can’t wait to go back

La mitad de mi familia es de Sri Lanka y queríamos probar las 'tolvas ilimitadas para 8. 95 'trato que tienen un viernes. Una persona en el grupo está libre de lácteos, lo que nunca ha sido un problema en un restaurante indio o de Sri Lanka, ya que simplemente cocinan su plato con aceite en lugar de ghee, ¡pero no aquí! Went to this restaurant for the first time even though it is local to us. We were pleasantly surprised at first the variety on the menu then with the staff and as for the food well it was amazing. We will definitely be going back again and again I am very sure

Siempre hemos querido probar este restaurante, ya que cada vez que conducimos pasamos por su siempre muy ocupado. PERO después de leer críticas negativas, lo postergamos por un tiempo hasta el sábado cuando decidimos hacer una visita. Permítanme comenzar diciendo que el servicio fue increíble. El personal era muy atento. La comida, permítanme decir, era tan deliciosa y llena de sabor. Teníamos carne samosa y gambas mariposa para empezar. La samosa de carne fue una de las más sabrosas que he comido. Para los platos principales teníamos el rey langostinos karahi y pollo jalfrezi y ambos estaban tan llenos de sabores. El restaurante está lleno y hacen un montón de pedidos para llevar, pero hay muchos chefs en la cocina, así que no tuvimos que esperar mucho para la comida. Exceptionally good late night Monday takeaway. Quick service and both the Sri Lankan Prawn Biryani and Fish cutlets were delicious.

Went for a couples' night out with friends (4 people); table booked for 7:30pm, arrived on time and were shown to a table. Took a small while to get our orders taken, but drinks arrived promptly.

I have been visiting this restaurant for years. I think they have recently gone through some changes for the worse. We had our worst experience last night. Had to chase three times for our order. They were knocking out takeaway orders but were extremely slow at serving eating in customers. We had to wait for an hour for our food. Given that it was only dosa an hour wait is unacceptable. The restaurant wasn’t even packed when we were there. Even when they served the food they got the order wrong and one of us had to wait further for our food. The dosa were served without sambar and we had to chase for it again. The food was good however the service was terrible. Please get your act together watchme otherwise you will be losing your loyal customers.

Nous sommes allés entre amis. La décoration du restaurant est médiocre... les serveurs bof bof. Nous avons goûté leur plat, c’était excellent. Leur lassi mangue est super. La viande bien tendre. J’ai pris en entrée un mixte devals avec un peu de tout et en plats des gambas. Le prix reste correct. J’ai pris un appam en dessert ( crêpes au lait de coco sucré)

The waiter we been served by was more of a thug then someone trying to provide basic customer service .. I went there with bunch of friends and did not feel safe as the waiter started screaming at us because he missed half the items we ordered

Took 40 minutes to get a glass of water. The waiter was extremely rude and lacked any customer service skills. Wouldn't go there again.

Decided to try this restaurant after a friend said lots of Indian families use it. Our honest experience was going there tonight at 8 pm , restaurant was full apart from a table for 2 which we ok with . Though busy we waited 15 mins to order drinks so ordered food same time so as not to wait any longer. We got stone cold plates with a rice dish and naan , couple of minutes passed before our main dishes were brought to the table . By now the rice having been put on cold plates was Luke warm . We had a family next to us with a child crying constantly . We ate as fast as possible paid the bill and left . Food was quite tasty but I will never go back or tell a friend to try it . No restaurant should give customers cold plates for hot foods . Very shabby service .

Worst service ever. They said they need 45 mins-1 hr at the delivery time that too when we called to check the order status. They were least apologetic and were happy to cancel our order. Highly recommend not to order from them if you plan to have anything to eat.

We were incredibly disappointed. After completing our order at around 5:20pm, we were given a delivery time of 6:45pm. This time changed at 6pm, when I received a just ear notification on my phone. At 7pm I received another notification to say that the food at been delivered. It had not. After calling Just Eat and the restaurant respectively, our dinner arrived at 7:30pm, cold with items missing. It was extremely disappointing. We don't own a microwave so the only way to heat up the meal was to do so in the oven which delayed us eating even longer. It's a shame because the taste of the food was great. I just wouldn't order from this restaurant again.

Ok. I gave this a mediocre review a while ago, but decided to try it again. Total transformation, new decor, lots of staff and food was never an issue. They obviously look at TripAdvisor as everything I said was poor is now superb.
