The food was awful came out cold was about 6 chips with each meal my husbands curry was frozen in parts
Our childs meal was terrible do not eat here a tesco meal deal is better
A shambolic cafe. Made to wait 45 mins for 2 simple breakfasts and 2 soft drinks, at a cost of almost £30 may I add.
Owner/manager (old middle Eastern woman) incredibly rude to both staff and customers. She snapped at me when I asked where my drink was. And constantly shouting and micromanaging her staff. Staff also argue between themselves. The place always seems critically understaffed.
Food was poor, egg overcooked and practically an omelette when it was served. But what do you expect when I saw it in the hot hold for 20 mins plus.
Been here a few times now and nothing seems to change, which is such a shame because a few years ago they used to be so good. Will be the last time I visit. AVOID.
Five Guys obviously have venues all over the country, but the Kingston one for me, is the most consistent. Having been to many, I feel justified in saying that. Friendly staff, very clean venue (others are not so keen) and always a good burger. So many burger places around now, but this one is great value imo (£12 for a bacon double cheese). Happy customer.
Having been to the Carluccios in Richmond recently, the Bentall’s branch in Kingston felt like the poor cousin. The portion sizes of food were smaller and the staff serving were not attentive and kept trying to push add ins like a salad or bread. We were not enthralled and having been going there for years and years, it sadly is not how it used to be. The penne Giardinea, their signature dish, you have to find the courgette balls! Tiny and sparse. This used to be such an incredible dish.
We stopped for coffee and, although a lot of tables were reserved, had a good table. Ordering coffee and a sandwich the service was very quick and the staff friendly.
I sat thinking that's all you need, a nice place to sit, clean tables, and a good service. The cost of the coffee and food was average for the area, coffee was good and the sandwich was excellent.
I would definitely come again if shopping in John Lewis.
I just hate it when I select a place to both dine and work and realise the internet is so weak. I could hardly check my emails or any other website on my both phone and laptop. I let them know but this is after I decided to pack and leave. :(
The Rotunda, Clarence St, Kingston upon Thames, England
Super service at this Costa coffee inside the Odeon cinema. Lisa and Sam were cheery and helpful; nothing was too much trouble. They were also friendly and chatty. I'll be stopping in for a coffee before our cinema visits.
I’d advise anyone to never use this restaurant. We ordered via uber eats, the food arrived freezing cold, the smell and taste of the meat was rotten. Needless to say it all went straight in the bin. I’ll be making my way there tomorrow to demand a refund for my £30 plus order. The smell of the rotten meat made me physically sick. I’m even going to the lengths of having this restaurant investigated.
Never usually leave bad reviews but unfortunately, this pub deserves one. Apart from the lovely setting on the river, our food took an hour to arrive despite it looking like something from a kids menu- cold hard chips, stale burger bun and a small chicken schnitzel. They were understaffed but still moved at a snails pace. There is 1 choice of white wine at £30 a bottle and after asking for 3 glasses, I was given 2 and told I’d have to wait 5 minutes for a 3rd.
