Very poor coffee … please use hero or Beanberry for a decent coffee this place is very poor and now called coffee 222. Way too much water Coffee weak even after asking for strongest coffee, total disappointment
Having been to the Carluccios in Richmond recently, the Bentall’s branch in Kingston felt like the poor cousin. The portion sizes of food were smaller and the staff serving were not attentive and kept trying to push add ins like a salad or bread. We were not enthralled and having been going there for years and years, it sadly is not how it used to be. The penne Giardinea, their signature dish, you have to find the courgette balls! Tiny and sparse. This used to be such an incredible dish.
We stopped for coffee and, although a lot of tables were reserved, had a good table. Ordering coffee and a sandwich the service was very quick and the staff friendly.
I sat thinking that's all you need, a nice place to sit, clean tables, and a good service. The cost of the coffee and food was average for the area, coffee was good and the sandwich was excellent.
I would definitely come again if shopping in John Lewis.
I just hate it when I select a place to both dine and work and realise the internet is so weak. I could hardly check my emails or any other website on my both phone and laptop. I let them know but this is after I decided to pack and leave. :(
The Rotunda, Clarence St, Kingston upon Thames, England
Super service at this Costa coffee inside the Odeon cinema. Lisa and Sam were cheery and helpful; nothing was too much trouble. They were also friendly and chatty. I'll be stopping in for a coffee before our cinema visits.
I’d advise anyone to never use this restaurant. We ordered via uber eats, the food arrived freezing cold, the smell and taste of the meat was rotten. Needless to say it all went straight in the bin. I’ll be making my way there tomorrow to demand a refund for my £30 plus order. The smell of the rotten meat made me physically sick. I’m even going to the lengths of having this restaurant investigated.
An excellent lunch at Wagamama Kingston!
From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. They even found the most comfortable table for my mother, who has knee problems — such thoughtful and kind attention.
The food was absolutely delicious — we enjoyed everything. A special thank you to Parneet, who looked after us wonderfully. She was super helpful, kind, attentive and gave us great recommendations for drinks, food and dessert. So hardworking and caring! You can really see the team works well together and there’s a positive atmosphere among them.
One uncomfortable moment was when (we believe) the manager or owner arrived. We didn’t like how she spoke to the staff — especially after a worker accidentally dropped a hot plate. Accidents happen, and the team is working very hard. It’s important they’re treated with respect too.
We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely lunch!
