Great pub feed, excellent Sunday roast, wow

We went there on a Friday night with a booking. It's a small place, and when we sat down, they told us that we had an hour and a half to eat. The music was lovely and even though the tables are very close together, it's still easy to have a chat. I'd definitely recommend the yellowtail jalapeño sashimi and the scallop nigiri. When we got the bill, there were two drinks from another table on it, but they corrected the mistake when we pointed it out. All things considered, it was a pretty good experience. (Apr 2025)

Recientemente visitamos Laki Kane para su menú degustación de siete platos y en general tuvimos una buena experiencia, con algunos elementos destacados y algunas áreas que podrían mejorarse. Desde el momento en que llegamos, el servicio al cliente era cálido y acogedor. Estábamos sentados enseguida, y el interior tenía una sensación íntima y acogedora que marcó un buen tono. Sin embargo, estar sentado cerca de la puerta significaba que ocasionalmente sentíamos un frío cuando se abría, lo que interrumpía ligeramente el ambiente. En cuanto a la comida, si bien apreciamos el concepto de menú degustación, algunas porciones se sentían demasiado pequeñas, prácticamente se fueron de un solo bocado. Algunos de los platos carecían del sabor audaz y la autenticidad que uno podría esperar de los platos "patán". Se sentía más como algo que había sido horneado con un adobo y terminado con una salsa de barbacoa, en lugar de auténticamente asado o ahumado. Dicho esto, hubo algunos aspectos destacados. Las Mango Bango Wings eran absolutamente deliciosas, crujientes, llenas de sabor y fácilmente el mejor plato de la noche. La costilla de maíz también era agradable, especialmente con la salsa que realmente elevaba el sabor. Por el lado de las bebidas, estábamos un poco agobiados. Probamos Laki Kane y Fatal Attraction en sus versiones sin alcohol. Desafortunadamente, ambos eran demasiado dulces y carecían de profundidad: la presentación en tazas de lujo era el aspecto más notable, pero el sabor no coincidía con el atractivo visual. A £ 20 por persona (con tres de nosotros asistiendo) se sintió ligeramente sobreprecio teniendo en cuenta el tamaño de las porciones y la ejecución general de los platos. Aun así, fue una buena experiencia de tiempo, especialmente para aquellos curiosos para probar algo diferente en un entorno relajado. Valoración general: 3 / 5 – Gran servicio y ambiente, algunos platos sabrosos, pero necesita mejorar en el tamaño de la porción, la autenticidad y la calidad de la bebida para una mejor relación calidad-precio.

Been to this little cafe a couple of times before, a couple of years ago but had forgotten about it. Passed by today and am so happy I went in for post exercise brunch. They have a really talented chef in there. Had a brioche bun with asparagus, marscapone, roasted tomatoes, fried egg and added bacon. It was just delicious and beautifully cooked. The ingredients were really high quality. Nothing here tastes like other places, it's always a bit different and elevated. Great coffee too. Have had to abandon the place on busy days when there's been a long wait but today was nice and quiet and I got a seat easily.

Saturday afternoon spent playing darts and watching England beat Wales in the six Nations was the best pub experience in a long while. Warm welcome and lovely response when we used our Cityscapes pub discount beermat - we got £10 off. Excellent range of real ales and ciders. English sparkling wine was lovely. We couldn’t have wished for a better experience.

Hands down the best Vietnamese food in London. Service is always impeccable and chef Thuy never fails to cook up a storm. The beef pho and lemongrass chicken are must try's as well as the home made cocktails! I can't recommend The Little Viet Kitchen highly enough.

Muy agradecido con estos muchachos por meterme justo antes de que cerraran un sábado. Explicaron que ya habían cerrado las freidoras y pasaron por lo que aún podían hacerme. Tomé un desayuno exuberante y en realidad no me sentí presionado para irme. Un personal muy sonriente que te hace sentir que te quiere allí.

Había oído grandes cosas sobre este restaurante por desgracia no estuvo a la altura de las expectativas y no volverá. El servicio era bueno y el personal amable y atento, pero la comida era mediocre. Menú pequeño tan limitada opción - literalmente 1 opción si es vegetariano. Los entrantes no fueron particularmente agradables, no los terminamos. Plato principal un poco mejor pero pequeño y nos dejó sintiendo hambre. No todas las opciones de postres estaban disponibles, lo que dejó una opción de solo 2. - terminó yendo a otro lugar para el postre.

My first proper fish and chips experience and it was everything I could've asked for. I'd rented a room five minutes' walk away from Chip Inn and it is DANGEROUS to live so close to such well-prepared fish, I'm telling you. It was a struggle to only eat here twice in the four days I had easy access to it.

The Food is delicious. However, during winter, the place can get extremely cold.. Even inside. The ambience and atmosphere is nice, however the place is a little small. If you’re looking at having a good, peaceful dinner with some amazing food and wine, then I’d recommend this place

Great service, staff were so kind and helpful. Freshly made as you can see the chefs cooking, and the best no microwave stuff.

Very friendly cafe, almost next to King's Cross Station. Went to stoke up before a long train journey and had a large full English, with much better quality bacon and sausage than usual in these kind of cafes, great coffee and excellent freshly squeezed orange juice. Total cost £11.45 - excellent!

The menu said £5.50 but the bill was £7.50 per pie. The mash was cold and the pie tasteless.A service charge was added on.The horrible american waitress then said this is all our fault.We will not be comming back to this horrible place with the cold and tasteless food.Stay away as it is a horrible place

We ordered the cheesy garlic bread and it was fantastic, over cooked so it’s fresh and we order here every week!
