been there few times, I would have a go on review now while i am on trip ad,, its an amazing place love it..

Amazing food! I came with my friends for an after work event group meal and had a great time! The service was excellent.

A few months ago, I was going into one of the chains for a coffee mid- morning, when I saw this cafe nearby, and though I would give it a try. I have been back a couple of times since then. The coffee is good, much better than in the chains, and the service was quick and pleasant. The cafe has a good atmosphere, and does not look as though it has been designed by a formula. It serves a selection of croissants, sandwiches and pastries.

Sable D'Or is a true local gem—a charming restaurant and bakery that never fails to impress. The moment you step inside, the irresistible aroma of their freshly baked goods greets you, making it nearly impossible to choose just one treat. To experience their cakes at their absolute best, I highly recommend arriving early for the freshest and widest selection. Our family considers it the go-to spot for brunch, and for good reason. Their pancakes are an absolute delight—our children can’t get enough of them! That said, their Full English breakfast and expertly prepared egg dishes are just as exceptional. The service has always been friendly, and we've noticed it has improved even further in recent visits. Unlike the larger and often hectic Beam nearby, Sable D’Or offers a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere—something we truly appreciate. Keep up the fantastic work, and we’ll most certainly be back soon!

The food was fine but the staff were certainly not. Both me and my partner felt very intimidated and put under pressure and rushed by the member of staff that was serving us when we just wanted to relax and take our time. We also felt that the staff were cold and unfriendly to us, possibly because we are a lesbian couple. Also, I dress very feminine but have a slightly masculine voice. While we were eating, I over heard (it was said very loudly) by a member of staff something to the effect that 'there are only 2 genders', which, at the least shows they were anti LGBTQ but did feel aimed at me, suggesting that I wasn't a woman. To be honest, we felt extremely uncomfortable and we would not want to go there ever again. Frankly, the staff were horrible.
