We had our daughter’s birthday here with her friends and our friends. The food was excellent and the service great. Lorenzo in particular was super helpful, even finding us candles for her cake. We will definitely be back!

We ordered takeaway from here for dinner. We ordered lamb cutlets and chicken Milanese. The order took over an hour to arrive despite saying it would be 30 mins. The lamb cutlets were over cooked, dry and cold. The chicken Milanese was ok but also cold.

Fantastic atmosphere, quality service, excellent food. On various occasions here I have always been impressed with the Spaghetti alla Bolognese and the Pollo alla Milanese. Always exquisite. Good value and you'll definitely want to return again soon.

Friendly staff and service. We had to wait a bit for the food but it was worth waiting for it. Piping hot and freshly cooked. Mussels in tomato garlic sauce was most delicious, spaghetti with king prawns tasted fresh and well spiced. Pasta was perfectly cooked al dente. The Tiramisu melted on the tongue and it felt like being in heaven. 10 out of 10 for the food.

I don’t understand why when you ask for things in the restaurant they seem to ignore it and do what they want..I think it’s time to leave this place alone. Goodbye

I cannot believe that this restaurant is still going. This had to be the worst spaghetti al pomodoro I've ever had! The sauce was reminiscent of when when you used to buy tinned spaghetti - how can anyone just ruin a plain tomato sauce! My husband ordered an Amatriciana sauce which for some reason they decided to add a massive amount of chilli, making it inedible! When did this place stop being Italian? It's surprising that the Italian community in London hasn't risen up against this place, denouncing it for it's fraudulent description of calling it Italian. Such a shame because it used to be such a good eatery and we used to go there regularly, I've even been known to cadge the odd recipe and make it at home. It's obviously Turkish now, so why don't they stick to their own cuisine, which in itself can be very nice. Btw, I noticed a lot of take-aways were being collected by the motor scooter brigade. A sad sight on a Sunday lunchtime, when there were only 2 occupied tables in the place.

We entered an almost empty restaurant on a Saturday night. I ordered a couple of pasta and one Fiorentina Pizza. The pizza maker may have gone home as the pizza was tasteless and not up to standard. No seasoning and the eggs were cooked right through. Lovely service but a lazy kitchen who have seen better days. Not recommended.

Met family for lunch, was a quiet restaurant, nothing fancy but boy the food certainly was! My husband said it was the best pizza he'd ever had and that's some accolade . Son had a Calzone, which came out the size of a baby!! I had gnocchi, delicious. The food was hot, prompt despite it is made to order ( you can see them making your food, always a plus I think), fresh and plentiful at a very good price. Service was excellent, friendly and it was a very clean restaurant. If you are in Muswell Hill, this is the place to eat.

Went to this restaurant in Muswell Hill Broadway as staying away for work. The food I ordered was really tasty (pasta with sausage and broccoli) as well as a side salad (which was huge). Really good service. This venue does add a 10% service charge.

There’s no better pizza, or pasta actually. This place has become our Friday night takeaway treat with the kids …it’s affordable and downright delicious.

Pizzas are nice but the service is very poor, we sat for a good 20 minutes without being asked even for a drink, we ended up leaving and going to Franco Manca around the corner which is far superior

I have ordered pizzas from this restaurant for quite some time now as I used to go there in early 2000's when food and value for money was excellent. On the weekend I ordered new pizza called Tutto (that has at least 8 toppings and cost £15) and Calzone. Over the past few years, the food quality has gone from bad to worse. There were hardly any toppings on my pizza. I ended up using my own ham just to get some taste. The dough is the best part of it, but for £30, I think it's not worth it!!!!!

Excellent atmosphere, wonderful welcome from caring, cheerful, efficient and friendly waiters, fabulous full on Italian food, and remarkably good value. Thank you to all involved in the lovely dinner I had there with you, and my husband clearly, last night. Can´t believe it had been so long since my last visit, but what is certain is that your cozze alla provenciale continue to be delicious and the perfect meal for me. Lovely warm welcome, excellent garlic bread (large but light pizza with garlic and tomato sauce). Pollo Milanese also excellent, as was the house wine. The manager, Sybil was brilliantly helpful. Lovely warm family atmosphere. Only quibble was the icy cold plates

My husband and I found this restaurant and gave it a try. It was an excellent choice as we really enjoyed it. We had a soup and salad to start with which was very fresh, tasty and a good portion. Our mains were pasta and were very tasty, piping hot.The service of the manager Borat was excellent, he made us feel very welcome and couldn’t have been kinder. This restaurant is underrated, as it serves such a tasty food!We highly recommend La Porchetta.For sure we will be back. Ciao.

I have been coming to La Porchetta my whole life. Some of the best pizza in London. Great value and friendly staff. A must visit in Muswell Hill.

Popped in for an impromptu dinner on a Sunday evening. Despite living locally for a while, we haven’t had a chance to pop in until now. Food was fantastic - generous portions, really flavoursome. Will definitely be back again in the very near future!

I have visited this restaurant for a number of years and cannot fault the food at all but after a recent visit this week I thought it was only fair to review it. As a physical customer going in to a restaurant you would have thought that your presence was valued especially after the past 18 months but it felt like Deliveroo and Uber Eats drivers and orders took president over those of us in the restaurant itself. There were minimal waiting staff, some of which seemed very flustered at times. Great service is being asked if the food is ok, did we require a top up on drinks and would we like dessert, none of which were asked.Like I said, I can’t fault the standard of food but the service itself let the whole experience of eating out down. Please take more care of the customers in the restaurant otherwise they won’t be back.

A group of us booked La Porchetta hoping for a nice informal place for a family lunch. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. The food was just horrible - huge portions of stodgy, overcooked pasta in bland sauces. Those that ordered pizza had to wait another ten minutes for it to be served even though the restaurant was virtually empty. Everything was incredibly salty - in fact salt and garlic were the only identifiable flavours throughout. Green salad was a sad handful of wilting, brown chopped iceberg lettuce and 4 slices of (salty) cucumber, hidden under a scattering of rocket. The drinks menu is like stepping back in time...choose between warm cans of Coke, 7-Up or Fanta and grubby glasses of apple or orange juice...all served without either ice or a smile. For reasons unknown the manager decided to mop the floor around us while we were eating, yet there was an actual prawn under our table that looked like it might have died there some years ago. I'm all for supporting local, independent restaurants but I can't recommend anything about this place - dreadful food, grumpy staff and zero atmosphere - its a total mystery how this restaurant survives.

We went to this restaurant this evening after a long day working looking forward to some nice food. I ordered pasta which I have had so many times before but this time there was so much half cooked garlic in it it was horrible I had ordered extra courgette & there was such a small amount I asked for a bit more & they charged me for two portions. I have always enjoyed going to this restaurant but this experience leaves me feeling that it has gone down hill. I shall not be returning. Such a shame

We used to visit La Porchetta regularly when we lived in London in the late nineties, early noughties. On a trip to London with our two kids (13 & 15) who love Italian food we decided to get a bus up to Muswell Hill and revisit. Not disappointed one bit!!! The place looks very different, much smaller, and not as bustling (probably down to it being a Monday night plus the effects of Covid) but the food was amazing, so tasty, best pizza and pasta ever, and very reasonably priced. There was a great relaxed atmosphere and the staff were lovely. We will go out of our way to visit again when next in London!

Worst pizza… never thought I would complain about too many toppings but in this case there was no quality but plenty of quantity. The aubergine looked nicely cooked but when I ate it, it seemed a little raw and hard instead of the usual juicy softness you get when you cook aubergine properly. The base was nice and my dough was cooked well but my partners was undercooked glop and had too much mozzarella on it … I wish I took a photo because it was a soggy mess on his plate and the toppings looked like a domino’s pizza if thats your thing! But for real pizza lovers this is not the one… the staff are Turkish… we like our Italians pizza to be cooked by Italians .. amazing restaurant in Brighton cannot be beaten. Purezza is the only not italian pizza we have enjoyed so far.

I ordered pizza today. The incoming pizza was floating in oil. I was not full and could not eat. The £ 23.30 I paid was poison. They really praised you but it was a shame. Very bad.

Myself and the children love this place! A great range of food options. Portion sizes are huge! Staff are always very friendly. Only issue is that when it is busy you do have to wait some time for your food.

Got a takeaway from here last night and was a bit disappointed. Couldn’t taste any garlic on the garlic bread and the ‘fresh Italian sausage’ on my pizza was more like tinned hotdog than anything Italy would produce ...

I visited La Porchetta for the first time after our b&b hostess recommended it to us for a lovely meal, unfortunately it was a disappointment for us. My partners meal came out around 20-25 minutes before mine did so we ate separately as his was going cold so he began to eat but by the time mine arrived he had just about finished his. Furthermore I had ordered a pasta dish in tomatoe sauce with spinach but I recieved a completely different type of pasta containing ham and mushrooms in a cream sauce but by this time I was starving and quite annoyed so I began to eat it to then realise the pasta was not even cooked!! So I'm not quite sure what took an extra 20-25 minutes when the dish I ordered was completely wrong and under cooked! Also I ordered a mixed salad with vinaigrette to go along side my pasta dish but when it arrived it was completely covered in salad cream and had no vinaigrette on, this probably wouldn't be an issue for most but I cannot stand salad cream so this was waisted also! It seemed we wasnt the only ones with issues as the two young ladies on the table at the side also didn't recieve their chips and when they complained it was confirmed the lady who took the order didn't even write the chips down. It was clear they were busy but this is a poor excuse and maybe if they cannot handle the volume of orders they shouldn't do a delivery service as the phone rang constant and they put more effort into answering that than they did helping customers in the restaurant!

Lovely place close to Leister square, fitted in nicely between Harry potter and the cursed child part 1 & 2. The food was amazing from starter to pudding and the staff just so friendly and helpful. The potions are quite big so we were very full at the end of the meal. Prices very good too.

Very nice Italian restaurant in Muswell hill . Affordable and tasty . Wide variety of pastas and pizzas . Good choice for vegetarians as well . Good and efficient service . Open till late , and always a smile while serving .

We found this place thanks to some friends. Our first impression was lovely and since then we visited again and again. Lovely atmosphere, great food and great service.We always enjoy our food.Freshly baked pizza but the main reason we love this place is because of the mussels.Well done to the team.

Can’t cook Pasta or Spaghetti Vongole!! Clams had grit and tomatoes tins ! Made a complaint no notice was taken by the staff or team. It was very cold in the restaurant. I think its had-change of ownership.clearly don’t know how to cook a simple Italian food. Warning please avoid this place. I have been sick after eating the spaghetti Vongole!!! Worst Sunday lunch!!! We will not be going back ! Please owner sell your restaurant to new person who will run it like a proper Italian restaurant.

Wow! Not sure how you can get simple Italian food so wrong. Watery, tasteless sauce with a handful of raw onions chucked in. I could cook better at home in 20 mins. Avoid this place at all costs!

Me and my partner went here last night for a meal. We ordered mussels and calamari to start with a bottle of wine. The mussels was ok a lot of the shells cracked. The calamari was frozen rubbish we asked for some bread with the mussels and it wasnt cooked in the middle very doey. Then for mains we ordered gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce and pollo milanese the pasta that came with the chicken was completely tastless. The gnocchi was the worse pasta i have ever seen. It came with raw onions and garlic and a huge lump of dried melted cheese in the middle. When complaining was tutted at and receipts snatched. Was offered 20%of the bill that we took as the manager wasnt listening and didnt want a confrontation. Do not go here at all

Food only OK, extremely disappointing that service charge is kept by the owners. Message to owners - your staff are paid minimum wage, if you don't make enough profit, put your prices up but give service to the hard working staff.

This place used to be great. However, food quality has gone down dramatically and there's clearly an hygiene issue as well with contaminated food being served to customers. Burnt pizzas, food with plastic, had to send mine back and won't be coming back to this restaurant again.

Visited this place with family, pizzas not very nice in fact very soggy, prefer pizza huts, the place needs a good clean and so do some of the kitchen staff, really can’t see what the big attraction is appart from being cheap, shan’t be going back filthy place

Este es, de lejos, la mejor pizzería para comer en Londres que siempre recordaré por el resto de mi vida como una salvación para una ciudad deprimente en el arte de hacer pizza (al menos para un neoyorquino). Estos muchachos entienden la profundidad de lo cursi necesaria para satisfacer al ansioso come pizza, así como no tanto la corteza dominante, la salsa espesa de tomate y los deliciosos ingredientes. Para colmo, el personal es increíblemente agradable y el ambiente del restaurante se siente como en casa. Siempre amaré La Porquetta. Dios los bendiga.

Visité el restaurante La Porchetta el 14 de octubre de 2019 por la noche. Debería haber deducido que la comida era de baja calidad con solo ver la cantidad de personas adentro (3 x invitados para ser exactos).

(Revisión vegetariana) La Porchetta no es lujosa, pero si buscas buena comida italiana sabrosa, porciones generosas y un personal amable, no te puedes equivocar aquí. Compartimos un plato mixto de verduras que era un plato grande de calabacín marinado, pimiento, tomates secos y aceitunas con una gran cantidad de cremosa mozzarella, realmente agradable. La Pizza Funghi era mejor que cualquier otra oferta local y la Ñoqui Sorrentina era un plato enorme de tomate. Es triste que se hubieran quedado sin sorbete de limón, pero en general una comida deliciosa, buena relación calidad-precio a 30 para nosotros dos, incluyendo bebidas y servicio.

The pizza here is absolutely amazing, and the tiramisu is one of the best I tried ever, the staff is amazing and friendly and mostly, they got Peroni from Italy, thats something amazing, highly recommend

I have been coming to this restaurant for years. It was reconfigured a few years ago and is now smaller, but the menu appears to be the same and it looks as though the prices have not increased for many years. Prices start at £5.90! This is a lively family restaurant and not the place for a romantic date! The pizza is first class and delicious every time. I had pear and gorgonzola, which I have not found anywhere else, but the contrast between the sourness of the cheese and the sweetness of the pears is irresistable! The pizza dough is freshly prepared in front of the diners and the pizza bases are delicious with a very nice texture. We had to queue to get in, but did not have to wait too long for a table. I was pleased to see that the restaurant was still popular and a number of the customers were Italian, which is a very good sign. There are also a selection of pasta and other dishes and everything is superb. This is somewhere where you want to work your way through the entire menu and I can't wait until my next visit!

Lovely pizza.. I think in my top 5 pizzas of all time and I've been to Rome and Venice! Really helpful too. There was a step to get in so just opened the door and they could see I was in a wheelchair and came straight to door. Then a guy came to help me up step but I did it myself in a manual chair. (It was a bit tight so might not have got a bigger electric wheelchair in there but not sure. Anyway the pizza was lovely and very reasonably priced. I'm close buy 3 more days this week so think I'll definitely be going again! Don't know if there was an accessible toilet as I was in a rush

No too nice, no too bad.. the restaurant look really rustic and the service the same. If you are looking for professionalism this is not the place to go. Overall there is nothing really to say, for the bill you are paying there is nothing to complain, but I will not suggest this restaurant

Un buen ambiente y la selección del menú consiste en una selección de platos de pizza y pasta. Optamos por la pizza y conseguimos una pizza de buen tamaño con bonitas coberturas. Comida agradable y buena relación calidad-precio - gracias, volveremos.

Visité La Porchetta como una comida pre - cine. Estas cosas siempre pueden terminar más estresantes de lo que deberían si el servicio llega tarde. Me alegra decir que La Porchetta no tiene problemas en esa área. Tampoco en ningún otro lugar - servicio rápido y eficiente. Buen plato de hongos y pizza decente y Calzone. A un precio muy razonable y ocupado, ambiente ruidoso pero agradable.

No idea how this place is even an Italian restaurant! Really poor quality food, looks like it's the same sauce used for all the pasta dishes....everything was brown and tasteless!! Terrible service, waited for 45 mins for our mains and then again 10 mins for our bill!! Cannot believe this place is still open!! Do not eat here!!

I have been here before and the pizza tasted good however it was slightly watery. This time however the food was excellent with the base cooked to perfection and the tomato base being excellent. Would definitely come again. Great value for money as well.

Within 30 mins of eating and this being all I ate all day I was feeling horrible. Clearly they do not wash their vegetables or cook the food properly. Highly advise against eating here will be going to the doctors tomorrow with suspected food poisoning

It was in a book of London Pubs you must go to. Went with a friend, to be hit by a revolting smell as we entered the door. Then abuse from the landlord. But then they brought out the French Onion Soup and I don’t know what they do in that kitchen but it was the most incredible soup I’ve ever tasted. Place was rammed… not surprised!

Always an excellent meal. Took family who were visiting from up north, hoped we hadn't over egged it to them, but as usual we were very happy and they were very impressed with quality and value.

Buena pizzería local de Muswell Hill. No soy de estar allí por un largo tiempo pero sin duda visitar de nuevo como nos quedamos muy contentos cuando nos fuimos allí para una tranquila comida familiar par de días atrás. Las pizzas son deliciosas y nos gustó el ambiente acogedor y muy informal.

Este restaurante solía ser mucho más grande y ahora es la mitad del tamaño. Siempre popular con grupos y estaba bastante animado lugar para comer. Estábamos en allí hace dos semanas y está mucho más tranquilo ahora. Sin embargo, la comida es igual de buenos y la relación calidad-precio.

Me encanta este lugar solía, salimos a cenar con un amigo. Para ser sincero, estaba ocupado por una gran fiesta pero Jueves eran simplemente dejando como llegamos. Una camarera gestured que podíamos asiento en cualquier lugar desde el otro lado del lugar. La música era tan terriblemente ruidoso tocando música rap/hip hop. Realmente no es el justo lugar para eso. El camarero me costó oír que es probablemente por qué mi pedido estaba equivocado. Él ni siquiera me escuchan la primera vez. Mi primer plato llegó unos 10 minutos después de mis amigos. Mi principal estaba equivocado no se disculpó sobre el error. Pedimos aperols que venía peroni vasos wtf. Me dijo que yo no estoy pagando mis comidas o el servicio y solo tomaron el aperitivo. Chicos puedes hacer mejor que esto. También puede una te dan tu camareras a un magro mutuamente, estás en el trabajo y les enseñan a mantener a su sección.

Me encanta el ambiente de este lugar; la comida es buena y tienen muy buen vino de la casa, todo muy asequible. No es elegante, no el mejor en Londres, pero siempre como objetivo agradar y es muy relajante, aunque siempre están muy ocupados. Si después de una buena comida italiana (bastante buenas raciones demasiado! ), buen servicio amable, buen vino, buen café, buen tiempo. . . entonces este es tu lugar. He visitado varias veces con mi novia y siempre hemos disfrutado.

first visit and last.food not to bad. tasty.. but till we get it ....gets ages. waiter .... lost... he didn't really care about us.have to ask 3 times for a bread. we wait very long time to clean plates after main... ages to order desserts and same to get them.staff should me more attentive and polite.

Flew into London on an overnight stopover and was able to see my daughter who resides there. We decided to go eat an Italian meal and my daughter suggested La Porchetta. What a great choice! The food was delicious. We had salad, mussels, a couple of personal pizzas (which were among the most delicious I've ever tasted) plus beer, tiramisu and a cappuccino. Sevice was great and portions were very generous at a great price. A truly great experience.

I stopped at La Porchetta, on a Tuesday evening, because I was craving pasta but it was late and I did not want to cook. The restaurant was small, noisy, and chaotic. The staff were bumping into each other, and one man (who I later discovered was the manager) went from the till to tossing dough (without washing his hands) and back to the till again repeatedly. While waiting to order I noticed the floor was filthy.I ordered a pasta dish to take away and patiently waited outside. After 20 minutes I asked the manager how much longer I had to wait and was told 2 minutes. Two other customers told me they had been waiting 30 minutes. After another 10 minutes I complained about how long I had been waiting. The manager joked the chef had fallen asleep. When I finally received my food I suggested to the manager he apologise. The manager simply said sorry and offered me a free can of soda, which I declined. From here it just got worse. The lid on the container had not been closed properly so when I got off the bus I discovered some of the food had fallen out and there was a pool of liquid at the bottom of the bag. Fortunately, the bag did not have air holes in it otherwise I would have been covered with oil. When I got home, I discovered the sausage did not look completely cooked and the broccoli had been over cooked. In the end I threw the whole lot away.

I go there with my partner almost every weekend to get a take away pizza and we like it a lot. Pizza is good, quite oily, but I love that characteristic in a pizza, not at all expensive. I always have a margherita and my partner one with salame and the salame is excellent, much better than many other places.

We went here for my daughters birthday a couple of weeks ago. It is a real Italian restaurant experience the layout is basic and ordinary but I promise you that's where ordinary ends. The place always seems to be heaving but the service is spot on. The menu is varied and appealing. I had a chilli, garlic tomato dish that is a hefty portion and I foolishly ordered a garlic tomato pizza bread, there was nothing wrong with it I just massively over ate as I didn't want to leave any. The ice creams are divine I had a simple cherry one and it was wonderful. Knowing it was my daughters birthday meal they made a fuss of her and threw a pizza (dough) on her head etc. Great people fantastic food

A nice greasy NYC style pizza... Quick takeaway! Clearly good but nothing great. La Porchetta and Franco are my personal favorites on the Broadway

Came here for my sisters birthday and had a great time. The portions are very generous and the price is good. What really makes this place memorable is the pizza chef who randomly throws dough at different customers throughout the night. The kids and adults love it and the chefs manner is very likeable.When it came to the birthday cake it was lights off, music on, trumpets out and all systems go for all the staff who came round to sing and clap.Overall a fun evening with good food and good atmosphere.

A very simple but very good Italian restaurant with a lot of good dishes to chose. I ask for a spaghetti with garlic and chilli. Very good, enough olive oil, the garlic was all there and the chilli enough for the taste. My friend asked for a 4 stazione pizza and just by looking you know it was marvellous. All with Italian Pironi beer. To finish 2 Italian expresso coffee and a grapa. Gorgeous. Really recommend.

Ten years ago this was my favourite pizza in London and better than Pizza Express by a mileComing to find that authenticity again I was a bit disappointed the decor had been updated and felt cold rather than ItalianThe music was too loud and in my opinion ruined the ambienceThe pizza was okay - but the salami wasn't the Italian Salami I remember instead it was the cheaper saltier Little rounds more like Pizza Hut than Nonna's Oh well things changeIt's still a great spot but I have a feeling that Pizza Express is now even though I can stand chains a better productGo back to your roots Porchetta and return to the real Italian ingredients and send Pizza Express packing

To no surprise this place really does fill you up! Great value for money and love going here with friends or with my partner.

Ein wunderschöner Abend im La Porchetta.Die Pizzen sind riesig, der Service super. WerGeburtstag hat, dem wird ein Ständchen gebracht. Ein Tipp, wo Einheimische Essen gehen.Beim nächsten Trip nach London komme ich bestimmt mal wieder.

Service was ok but in the old days the food tasted fresher and better, lately even the pizza tasted like a cheap frozen dough! bring back the real Porchetta
