We have visited this restaurant many times but recently there have been new staff members so maybe this explains the slow service on our last visit. the food was excellent as usual.

I've been eating here for over a year now and just love the food. Very fresh and tasty. The set menus to takeaway are really good value and I get several meals out of them! I love that they deliver too. Would highly recommend

I'm very reluctant to leave a negative review for this place. I've been coming here off & on since it opened and have had a great experience. Very sadly however this place has the aura of a restaurant that is on its last legs and i'm so sorry that my review won't help this as i'd love for it to succeed and be the vibrant restaurant that it deserves to be and that the area needs and had in the past. We went here (me, my wife and 2 kids ages 8 & 12) for an impromptu meal on Friday evening, arriving for about 7pm. The place was completely deserted and the young waitress seemed surprised that we even came in. There was no music, just an uneasy silence. We ordered drinks which arrived fairly promptly. On seeing the white wine bottle we ordered, I asked if it was cold. The waitress replied with a yes and proceeded to poor out massive glassfuls- almost a half pint in each- a bit unneccesary. The wine was most definitely not cold, or even cool. Distinctly room temperature. I had to return it and it was taken back graciously and replaced with a nicely chilled house white- which turned out to be quite nice. Annoyingly my kids arepretty faddy but one of the dishes they particularly look forward to is the Kalamari. This was off the menu- much to their disappointment. An alternative that they like is the grilled king prawns. Again- off the menu. We reluctantly had the crabcakes as a poor substitute. They seemed to be freshly made but I'd say these were about 80% potato, 20% crab. Now, as it seemed to me that as they are struggling a bit, it's possibly not worth their while buying in fresh seafood if they get no customers and end up having to throw it away. I can understand this but sadly it's going to end up a self fulfilling prophecy with only one ultimate conclusion. We had more luck with the main courses and this is where the place comes into it's own. The food is really fresh, succulent & cooked to perfection. The portion sizes are generous without being overwhelming. I really can't fault the place for the food. It's purely the lack of custom that lets it down. in fact, throughout our stay we were the only customers in the place. It's always virtually empty when I pass it which I think is a real shame. They need to get out there and do some heavy duty promotion work. The area is definitely changing its demographic, with more young couples moving in, and with the opening of the new archer academy there will be a further influx of families into the area that they could capitalise on- Perhaps offer an 'early bird' family deal? As I say above- it would be a real shame to see this place close, and i'd like to say i'll continue to support the place, but it needs to get more bums on seats to give it a vibrancy There is proof that this can be done by the Meze restaurant that was near Creighton avenue before it got taken over and taken upmarket. It was always full, vibrant, friendly, lively and with very tasty, well-priced food in good portion sizes. It was the proof that it can be achieved. Fingers crossed

This is our local stalwart Turkish and a cut above. All the usual dishes are here done with care and skill. The chicken wings are perfect. Never had a bad meal here and have eaten both here and takeaway many many times.

go about once per month. small plate of broadbean salad + bread usually complimentary (excellent), always go 4 the lamb chops - fabulous, and friend usually has mixed kebab or chicken kebab. good quality and reasonable price - don't know where fried food mentioned in first review comes from? the food is always freshly cooked and never had any fried dishes. ate there again last night (9/11/12) & given complimentary small dessert 2 share. good clean tasting simple food. v.good service, yes it is one waitress but she is attentive and the palce is quite small. def recommended esp after seeing a film at phoenix.

have eaten here before wasn't great then and hasn't improved much since, the waiter was serving people with his puffer jacket on, no ambience, only one waitress working real hard and puffer jacket boy gave a lending hand when he really had to, all the food we ordered was deep fried to within an inch of its life. Really hoped it would have improved since our last visit as we are all for supporting local business, will definatly not be going back there again.

Delicious, authentic modern Turkish food at very reasonable price. Ingredients clearly fresh & high quality. Would recommend the Mydonos Special, an assortment to grilled meats or the Perzola (lamb chops). Only downside is the lack of atmosphere, owing to the fact that few people know about it. I'm sure that will change once word gets around!

Had a meal here with a group of mates! Mydonos is hidden away from the busy high street- a small cosy restuarant! The food was divine- staff was very helpful when it came to choosing what to eat! A must try!

North London has many Turkish restaurants. This small restaurant situated in Fortis Green just of the main high street in East Finchley is clearly of higher standard than most of them. Excellent service and very good selection of vegetarian dishes. Stongly recommended.
