Kilim in Haringey

Saw a review that said Kilim was no more.. is it true? I always take my Muswell Hill mates there when I'm in London. Have done for years. Great, authentic, flavoursome, no frills eating. Gutted if the news of closure is accurate.

This restaurant is now closed, please take it off your list. It has been closed for some time and people looking at your site should be aware of this.

Saya pesan lamb kebab rasanya asin banget, tapi starternya yang terbuat dari terong enak banget. Pelayanan ok, servis cepat dan memuaskan. Lokasi di pinggir jalan, mudah untuk ditemukan.

Mi novia y yo visitamos última semana para la cena, yo estaba muy enfadado en toda la experiencia. La dirección era muy grosero y no escuchar nuestras peticiones.

Esta era mi segunda visita a Kilim turcas. Me di cuenta que dieron al lugar una capa de pintura, cueva tiene paredes que eran bastante oscuras. Ahora magnolia parece ser la única cosa. La comida era muy buena, carne muy tierna. Tuvimos el especial de almuerzo, que incluía un plato. Dos diminutos platos que compartí con mi amigo. Teníamos prácticamente terminado y nuestros platos llevaron muy rápidamente como el plato principal estaba listo para ser servido. Aparte de esa buena comida.

Hemos estado en Kilim turcas muchas veces desde que se abrieron por primera vez, pero sólo una vez en 2015, ya que no tienes que N10 ya muy a menudo. No nos llegó hasta allí a principios de enero 2016 y nos recordó una vez más lo bueno que es. La comida en nuestra opinión es el mejor de su tipo en Londres y su precio es muy razonable. genuinamente más nosotros ¿por qué no hay una cola masiva cada noche, ya que hay en muchos de los restaurantes céntricos de Londres de menor calidad.

It would have been much better if Iskender meat was cooked better . But overall hospitality was on point . It was served fast

Uno de mis socios mis lugares preferidos para comer en Muswell Hill. La comida siempre es increíblemente fresco. La carne a la parrilla de carbón y delicioso! Nuestros favoritos particulares son las alas de pollo y barbacoa mixta. Todo servido con pan, arroz y un montón de ensalada. He estado aquí muchas veces; comer en pedir una entrega y nunca he tenido una mala comida. Lo recomiendo altamente.

Regularmente entrara a un bocado o solicitar una entrega de casa como una pareja o con la familia y amigos. Delicioso para ambas platos turcos o vegetarianos opciones abiertas a la parrilla. Las escalas izquierda están realmente delicioso al día siguiente! Un fantástico ambiente para una cena romántica. Muy recomendable!

I'm a bit of a gymaholic so I'm constantly trying to find places I can eat and not feel too guilty. This place is ideal for a decent meal without the guilt and without breaking the bank. I paid £8 for a ton of chicken sheesh and kofte sheesh with rice, pitta and salad and it was amazing! I've lived in Muswell Hill for two years and pretty ashamed that it's taken me this long to discover this place.

If you want a decent meal but can't be bothered to cook Kilim is your place. Nice big portion for cheap. Kilim special all day long. But of every meat with rice and couscous, delivered in half hour.Can pay by card over the phone.

A very friendly and reasonably priced turkish grill where the food comes straight off the charcoal to your table.A good range of hot and cold starters with plenty of veggie dishes for non carnivores.The selection of kebabs is mouth watering and the portions are good.Lots of salad for your five a day!! Some interesting wines and beers made for a very pleasant evening for just under £25 per head which I think is very good.

I have had take-away lamb shish kebab a number of times from Kilim and it is always excellent. As is traditional, it is freshly cooked to order, while-you-wait, on a flame grill in front of you. Served with bread, rice, salad and a couple of sauces. I have not eaten-in so can't comment on that but I can highly recommend the take-away.

This is not only a cosy restaurant, it also serves simply delicious food. But what I found to be particularly nice was the warm friendliness of the staff when we arrived, their patience and helpfullness in explaining the make-up of the dishes. All around the various dishes were beautifully prepared, very tasty and all of it accompanied by excellent service. Whoever lives close to this little gem is very lucky indeed. Highly recommended.

Wonderful turkish restaurant in Muswell Hill but ideal for East Finchley too.Always friendly, welcoming and the food has never been a let down. Their grills, salads and bread are all delicious. And the house Turkish wine is also great value. Highly recommeded!

It's an average kebab place. Ask for burger sauce and the staff are rude. My wife asked and they said ITS NOT A BURGER! We knew that already.

This place is without doubt my favourite restaurant, the food is simple but cooked perfectly with amazing flavours.The price is so reasonable for the quality I wish I lived closer so I could go more often.My favourite dishes would have to be the hot and cold mixed starters, they give you a fantastic sample of the menu and I would happily eat them as a main course! The best main has to be Tavuk Beyti, it's grilled minced chicken but it's the most wonderful flavour cooked on the traditional Turkish grill. In winter a yogurtku beyti is wonderful to warm you up!They also do massive wraps to take away and I love driving to Ally Pally on a summers day to eat mine.Go there hungry and you won't be disappointed!

Excellent selection of well-made Turkish food served in a nice setting in this restaurant in Muswell Hill. The service is also very nice and the wait staff are very helpful and friendly. We come here quite often and are always happy with the flavours and the portion sizes. Excellent value for money.

This is my local kebab shop and you can't fault it for value and quality. The grilled chicken wings are delicious and are the best in London we think. If you order a take away, the chicken wings are served with rice, salad and bread--enough to keep my ravenous teenager satisfied. The kofte, warm and cold starters are also very good. The service is efficient and friendly.

Yesterday we went to this restaurant at lunchtime after reading positive reviews about it.It was almost 1 o’ clock and there were no other customers to be seen. Anyway once we were given the menu we decided to take the falafel and fried calamari as starters and they were both quite good. As a main my partner ordered a combination of chicken and lamb shish while I went for mixed grilled that had an extra portion of lamb kofta. According to my partner she was quite happy with it but I couldn’t agree entirely.Although I don’t mind the meat a bit rare except the chicken of course I still had the feeling that it should have had an extra couple of minutes and be served very hot which wasn’t the case. Also my kofta had an almost unpleasant flavour that I couldn’t quite place. The salad was quite fresh.The fact is that when I finish a meal my stomach gets an uplift of satisfaction which generate in my brian a kind of a feeling of well being. I honestly think that what was missing in the meal was some passion. I could sense that it was just thrown at us without love. My apologies if I sound a bit over sentimental. I also don’t think that the portions were that big either according to some reviewers. At the end we went. At the same time I was thinking what could I have to fill that little gap in my belly!

Been there twice now and both times the quality of the food and excellent service never failed to please. More than just another local Turkish restaurant, the atmosphere is romantic and vibrant and the service attentive without being imposing. Will go back!

Make no mistake, despite the apparently dim and uninviting interior, this has to be one of the gems of Muswell Hill.It offers sensationally tasty and charcoal-suffused grills of really generous and satisfyingly value-for-money take-away meals with ample servings of rice and salad.Their chicken grill or TAVUK SIS, is to die for. Eight chunks of tender and juicy pieces of chicken grilled the way you want it and accompanied by a refreshing and fresh salad served on a bed of vermicelli rice sprinkled with chickpeas. A clever take on the usual rice mix.The aubergine and tomato dish (IMAM BAYILDI) is superb! As someone who has sampled this dish in many Turkish restaurants here and in the USA and in Turkey, this version has to be the best as it combines great flavour, ample amounts of each ingredient and, critically, no grease to speak of, allowing the range of tastes and flavours to burst through perfectly. All in all, this is a FANTASTIC place, despite its name (which, I believe, means 'carpet' or 'rug' in Turkish) and representing impressive value for money especially in terms of generosity of portions; quality of ingredients and hospitality offered by staff.Can't recommend this place enough from a confirmed devourer of Turkish food!

We ate here twice whilst visiting family in Muswell Hill. Service was really good and the food was delicious. Tasty Turkish food! Family friendly. Highly recommend.

We eat here at least twice a month if not more. This is a Turkish restaurant that specialises in Kebabs, but don't do it the disservice of calling it a Kebab shop.The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and the food is so well spiced and flavoursome, not to mention the fact that actually the meat portions are meaty (rather than fat-ridden) and well portioned.My recommendations for meat hungry people - try the Lamb Beyti or the Mixed kebabs.

I go there with my girlfriend at least once a month and I love it. I usually have a combination sis and feesh halliumi, but you can choose between several typical Mediterranean dely.Go there youll nevere regret...

We live nearby and regularly go to this place. Meat is always fresh and well cooked, staff friendly and helpful - and good with kids. And value is superb for heart of Muswell Hill. Thoroughly recomended!

Visited on a Friday evening and we chose it because unlike most of the other restaurants in muswell hill, this place was packed, so we thought that was a good sign. We were seated quickly and the waitress was very pleasant. Food and drinks were served in good time, tasted just ok tho. It didn't feel particularly like we were eating Turkish food. I had the salmon. Nice, but it could have been served at any generic chain of hotel restaurants. Just not the Turkish experience that I would have liked or expected.
