Diyarbakir Restaurant in Haringey

I came to Diyarbakır restaurant upon recommendation. The service was really great. The food was delicious. Thank you to Onur for his hospitality and sincerity. I recommend it to everyone.

I can say that it is the best iskender I have eaten in London. Of course, we felt like we were in our friend's restaurant, not only because of the food but also because of Mr. Onur's attention. I plan to come back again and try everything on the menu. I would also like to thank them very much for their special attention and treats when they learned that I was fasting. 🐸🤗

Onur was very hospitable and ensured that all went smoothly. The ribs in particular were magnificent so I came back again for them.

Absolutely lovely staff, specifically Onur. I had dinner here twice and got the lamb ribs which were absolutely delicious.

Celebrated my birthday here and straight off the bat we were pleased with the interior. Feels luxurious! The food was all cooked to perfection and served at the right temperature and timing. Ferhat served us and was consistently attentive to our table, making sure we were fine. He even offered us free Turkish desserts and tea! Generous and kind of him to suggest. Another man, who seemed to be the manager was as attentive as him and visited our table twice. It’s very rare to get a service as such. I will definitely come back to this lovely restaurant and for sure recommend it to friends!!

I went in for a take away, staff is friendly, kind and professional, food is really good, defenitely recommended.

Been going to D for 14 years, it was my place to go for the perfect lentil soup and home made baked bread, and other. Portions used to be good size, and good quality salads. Now its just small sizes and cheap ice berg salad you get in any chicken take away. I had lamb ribs, barely had meat on them. Since the renovation took place, the site also changed its humble character and now is only profit oriented and no longer making customers happy.

If you are looking for a Turkish Restaurant in England, this place is very, very enjoyable and the staff are both friendly and attentive. 100% recommended.

I ordered online and missed most of the order was missing When I called I asked do you deliver thru ubereats the man said yes, when I said if I give you my address you can check my order, he acted like he didn't understand telling me we don't do delivery Don't waste your money or time here WILL NOT be ordering ever again

I went there after seeing the Diyarbakır sign, but I realized that it had nothing to do with Diyarbakır. There was no smiling face or interest, it was dry as hell.

The food in this place is really good, well seasoned and well prepared, smoked aubergine was delicious . The portions seemed to be smaller for the price. The service needs improvement.

Owner flirted with my 15 year old daughter plus you musnt cook food on charcoal until the charcoal is ready ignition smoke is not ideal!!!

Absolutely shocking experience! We went as a family for breakfast, and both the food and service were appalling. The bread served to us was stale, and the soup was cold. We expressed our disappointment, but the response from a female staff was equally disheartening and extremely rude! A truly disappointing visit to Diyarbakir Restaurant on 69 Grand Parade, Green Lanes in Harringay.

I go to this restaurant few time and I have a great experience each time. Food is authentic and consistently good. What’s most is the service, the staff are always welcoming. Haringey Ladder is famous for Turkish restaurants, I tried almost all of them and this is the best among all.

It was a disappointing and frustrating experience we ever had in a restaurant. We were a group of 11 people on New Year's Eve. We were expecting some delays, but the experience left us frustrated and unhappy. It took 40 mins to get a glass of wine or any other drinks, 40 mins waiting for our cold meze, and in the end, the waitress said she did not order it. When we received it (1h40 mins later), we ate with no bread due to the waitress being effortless. We had to ask for bread 4 times. The waitress was so careless and rude. Very disorganised when placing orders. We were notified 40 minutes after we placed our orders that they had run out of fish and lamb chops, leaving 3 of our orders delayed. One person in our group was forgotten and only had his meal after everyone ate and after we raised our complaints loudly. When we asked for the manager, the waitress refused to call him. We had to find the manager ourselves, and he apologised several times, reporting the staff left him in a frustrating situation by not coming in. The manager gave us a 25% discount in the end, but the experience left us feeling unhappy.

Food was not special, high prices and paying additional service fees without informing in advance.

I went here with my family to have a New Year’s Eve dinner. Food was not great and we have been charged for items what was not announced or agreed in advance. The menu was on the high price compared to what you get on the dish. This is not worth it. The dinner area smells grilled food and smoke which was uncomfortable sitting. Toilets are dirty and not cleaned regularly. I recommend other places for Turkish restaurants for much better food with same prices. Note. be careful when you paying the receipt afterwards. Always ask for the detailed receipt for items which are not requested for (including the unannounced fee of 12-15%).

Great Turkish flavors to choose from. The durable arrangement is elegant, airy and spacious with a modern touch. I ordered lamb chips with rice along with the plate for others. I had a pleasant experience and was shown excellent customer service. A modern restaurant with stunning views from the seating area. I highly recommend it.

This is ridiculous. I paid 150 pounds for food that didn't even taste good. The meat was oily and was not good. When we went to pay we saw that we needed to pay 40 pounds service. I think the point of an restaurant is that u get service and dont need to pay an fee for it. So the food was not good and we needed to pay for things that weren't even announced.

Was not so delicious. Rice was tasteless. Meat was too fat and dry. Too much service tip the service was not anounced.

El precio es razonable dada la ubicación y la cantidad de comida proporcionada, aunque tampoco es insustancial. Absolutely devastating experience I had here a couple of days ago. I came in, Waiter said would you like to sit here I said no I'll sit at the back...now the restaurant was virtually empty so only a few people eating keep this in mind. I sit and im waiting 2 mins, 5 mins, 7 mins...Waiter comes after me calling him and says it's only me I said yes just me eating...he goes off and then another customer comes in and practically gets served STRAIGHT AWAY...now nearly 10 mins go by and I'm still waiting!!! While seeing this other customer who's literally just come in getting served straight away. I picked up my jacket told the Waiter I've been waiting 10 mins for service and you still haven't served me while this customer just came in and he's practically eating. I said it's utterly disrespectful and diabolical negligence and inconsiderate towards your customer, I'm absolutely disgusted...and walked out. Terrible terrible terrible service!

Excellent experience, from the variety and quality of the menu to the kindness of the staff. Highly recommended!!! Try the tender marinated and grilled chicken fillet, special softness and flavour! Also tried ravioli with yogurt, excellent, and lentil soup, Lamb and aubergin. Very good bread, tzatziki and delicate sauce. A 15' walk from Manor house. Go there.

I Understand Better the Difference Between Diyarbakır Restaurant and Diyarbakır Kitchen. Restaurant Chef Onur was very warm and inviting. The atmosphere is really peaceful. There are many options in the menu. I call it Diyarbakır RESTAURANT once again for the service and the smiling face of the employees. 🙏

I bought two takeaways from here. The staff were really well dressed the restaurant was very clean. The food was very fresh and tasty. 10 out of 10. I really like the branding as well and the way they packaged the takeaway food was super high-quality and you could taste the freshness.

We ordered two soups and two manti. Manti should have been without any sauce but they brought them with yogurt. Unfortunately service was bad. Food doesn’t tasty.

Visited Diyarbakir restaurant on numerous occasions, their food is always amazing. Service is very good, staff members are attentive and friendly. After recent redecoration the place looks beautiful. My favourite place to eat out and in my opinion one of the best Turkish restaurants in London!

Lovely decor. Friendly staff and good service. But we didn’t go there for that. My wife and I went there for a date night feast of meats. We were not disappointed. The sharing platter was piled with juicy lamb chops, chicken shish, lamb shish, wings, kubedeh, and accompanied by rice, bulgar wheat and the fluffiest warmest bread you’ll have this side of the Bosphorus. Delicious. Couldn’t finish it all. So much great food. Never had a bad meal at Db. One of my favourite food spots in London.

Lovely new decor, haven't been for a long while, used to be a much smaller place and the decor is great. Unfortunately at this particular time (10.30pm) the food was slightly lacking (ordered jumbo platter with mezze) for 5 of us but just wanst jumbo enough. Taste was not as succulent and fresh tasting as it used to be. Just.my 2 pence worth.

Never had Turkish food like that .too hard lamb meat like eating chowing gum .even not sure it was lamb meat .pay food ,left the rest of food with the manager to think about the food they served . not recommended at all .

Had a sit down Lamb Shish with Turkish bread and salad. Lamb was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed it. Just under £25.

Good place to find delicious traditional Kurdish food. Their plate is big enough and portions are not small comparing to Turkey. I can argue that their Pacha Soup is the best in the town.

This was my single best dining experience in London ! The food was delicious, with generous portions. The staff was incredibly hospitable and attentive. The decor is really nice in the new part. I had a great time and would recommend 100% !

I think we booked here by accident as there is another Diyarbakir further up Green Lanes. However, the food was really lovely as seemed very reasonably priced so we were very pleased by our mistake. My husband had the aubergine which was gorgeous. I had the vegetable beyti which was very rich and tasty. Our friends had lamb which they said they enjoyed. The owner was clearly really enthusiastic about authentic turkish food and generously gave us a couple of free dishes and a cocktail as he overheard that it was my birthday recently. I was suprised it was relatively quiet for a Sunday as it was in my view better than many of the other restaurants further up the street and certainly cheaper. I would eat there again.

Paid almost 30£ for 3 starters. We asked lamb liver, we have been said that wasn't possible to go, so we replied that thank you we will leave. In order to let us stay they magically found liver, but after eating it we realised it was probably a bit old beacuse they almost deep fried it to cover the bad quality. Falafel were also disappointing and probably made with frozen mix. Don't recommend it at all.

Fui a comer aquí con mi hermana por primera vez ayer. Parecía estar bien al principio, ya que no tuvimos que esperar mucho para hacer nuestro pedido y la comida llegó rápidamente; la comida era simplemente estándar, nada bueno como otros restaurantes en los que hemos estado. Cuando terminamos nuestra comida, simplemente nos sentamos allí y esperamos durante siglos para que nuestros platos se limpiaran, fuimos totalmente ignorados, lo que nos confundió. Incluso cuando pedí un contenedor para llevar (era como tener que 'llamar' la atención de un camarero antes de que saliera corriendo) , no le impulsó a despejar nuestra mesa (otros camareros pasaban constantemente y servían o despejaban las mesas contiguas, pero no la nuestra) ! Simplemente nos sentamos allí, otras mesas fueron despejadas de inmediato y sirvieron un pudín de arroz de cortesía. Eventualmente llamamos la atención de alguien y le pedimos la cuenta... un miserable y desdichado anciano llegó para tomar el pago de inmediato, tampoco le interesaba que la mesa no hubiera sido despejada... ¡tomó el pago y se fue! Le dije a mi hermana que no se fuera ya que nos intrigaba si alguien nos reconocía. Supongo que el camarero finalmente vino a despejar la mesa como habíamos pagado en este punto. Despejó la mesa y se alejó, sin ofrecernos el arroz con leche. Le llamé de nuevo y le dije que quería el arroz con leche como todas las demás mesas... ¿me miró fijamente y me dijo 'quiere arroz con leche'? En realidad no queríamos el maldito arroz con leche, pero el punto era ¿por qué no nos lo ofrecieron como a todos los demás en todas las demás mesas? Se fue y no pudimos soportarlo allí ni un momento más y nos fuimos. En retrospectiva, deberíamos haber eliminado el cargo por servicio. Claramente no cumplimos con sus "criterios" de cliente en este establecimiento draconiano. ¡Evite a toda costa!

They say it is Halal, however serve alcohol on their menu. I personally wouldn't want that experience with my family. You can call and confirm with them.

The place is tidy compared to the area, indoor seating only, the food is very delicious, the quantity is very large for two people, enough for 3 and it is possible for 4 to come back for it and I recommend it because really all the grills were delicious whether kebab or ribs and the cheese sticks and the salad are delicious, the service is very excellent and they pamper you after eating with free tea and Sometimes sweet, the price is reasonable

The service and food at Diyarbakir Restaurant this evening was just wonderful! All of the food we had was excellent and the staff made our visit extra special! They really took great service to the next level and our entire party of 7 people (4 generations in one family!) had the best time! We would highly recommend and will definitely be back soon!

This restaurant is an absolute gem, located in Green lanes, Harringey. The aesthetic and atmosphere is clean and warm. The staff are extraordinarily friendly and responsive to the customer’s requests. As for the food - where do I begin. The portion sizes are generous, generous, generous - and the quality of the food is exceptional. I personally had lentil soup, cold meze to share, and a selection of lamb chops, Adana kebab and lamb pieces. I’m a big fan of lentil soup and this was one of the favorites I’ve ever had - I’m craving it even as I type this. The meat was tender, succulent, and fresh - truly encapsulating the balance of seasoning - not too much so as to drown out the appreciation of the core of the meal itself. Overall I give this restaurant a 10/10. I am only disappointed in how it has taken me this long to have discovered it. The restaurant offers delicious food at competitive prices, in a setting which is suitable for intimate catch ups or large group events alike. I will most definitely be visiting again. Cannot recommend enough!

Great experience after having a birthday even there recently. Staff were good, food was great. The place has been refurbished unlike the pictures shown on Google maps. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Substandard. The chicken pieces were like wood, dry and tough. The veg consisted of half a grilled watery tomato and a hardly grilled, mostly raw chilli pepper. The salad tasted old, prepped up with lots of sour vinegary dressing, the chilli sauce was in fact chilli flavoured water, the yoghurt that came with the stale warmed up bread was sour tasting and so was the ayran. Nothing tasted fresh. The restaurant was not well visited and I had to remind the waitress for my drink. It as also above average expensive. You get better food at any Kebap shop at 4am anywhere in London. I can’t see them competing with the neinouring restaurants for long. For me, never again!!!

Way below average experience, restaurant was barely busy and our meals arrived 25 mins apart and when they did, rice was cold, lamb doner didn’t taste of anything special. Lahmacun tasted strange and was also cold. Even the basics like chips were sent back cause they looked and tasted old. Salad for free was the best thing of the night and also arrived during our main course! I wish I had something positive to say from my experience but this restaurant unfortunately has a lot of work to do to improve its service and food.

Amazing service, very friendly and attentive; Mustafa, the best host. Starters and mains are generous and very well cooked. From the restaurants in Green Lanes, this is by far my favourite.

Unfortunately when u ask for more bread staff was taking piss or make fun of u saying are u have bread with bread as lunch hasn't finished disrespect ..😡 Adana kebab was disgusting 🤮
