Crystal in Haringey

I went to this restaurant last night. The mushroom starter was too oily. Also they didn't serve it right how I ordered this dish. I ate only few bits and left it on the side. None of the waiter asked how was that dish and why I left it over..They served my main dish wrong as well. At least that time the waiter apologised and wanted to change it. The dessert was not that good either. The chocolate fudge cake was too dry. The reason why I ate most of it because I ordered a cup of tea. It was easier to swallow.... My suggestion is heat up that cake a bit. It would be a better taste. About customer service.. The guy who served us was ok but the girl who come to my table was not really nice. She had such a strict face, no smile, she seemed like she doesn't want to work at all. Just standing in one place do not care about the tables are finished with the dishes or not etc. Anyway it was not a good experience and I'm not sure I really want to go back or recommend this restaurant at all.

Great Turkish. Was my preferred option when I lived in Wood Green. Always friendly staff, good food, good prices.

i had to change my review not about the food but the service form one staff member been going here for years before they changed the interior. foods always been good how ever yesterday i came with a friend the short waiter was standing near the fish tank talking with his friend who was eating a meal they was clearly talking about us kept looking over my friend said to me look they talking about us coz they kept looking over pointing and laughing i didnt think to much of it untill i noticed my self i looked over and said u want to share the joke the guy turned red and pretended he didnt know what i was saying then moved seats i dont know why would treat ur customer like this not very professional making customer uncomfortable especially old customers

The food at Crystal Kitchen was amazing! I ordered for me and my friend chicken wings rice and salad. It was delicious 😋. I would definitely recommend and go there again for sure.

I have been there few days ago, some of the dish are not avaiable in menu,they took the order and after 15 min they come back , we don't have this , that, bla bla bla, we ordered again and they come back sorry this dish we don't have avaiable, wasting our time leaving within 1h, which we musted leave after 5 min , never back again

Very pure service I was there with my family and 3 time they told me we have what you looking and after 30 min they come back to me and they told me we don't have what you want very very bad service I'm not going at this place anymore big nonono 0 star

Visited in June 2023. 4.25/5. We came to Crystal Kitchen after a visit to Ally Pally locally. This was rated the best Turkish restaurant on Google Maps. We were greeted warmly and it wasn’t busy, with plenty of tables available. The service was good, despite the communication issue with one server who didn’t have the most confident of English skills, but not a problem. We ordered Lahmachun, Hummus and Mixed Kebab. They were all delicious, the kebab especially had the right blend of spice and flavour. The restaurant is clean, comfy and modern, it was bright and inviting. It was a good Turkish experience, not my favourite or the best I’ve had. Overall, worth a trip.

Delicious food and excellent value ... this restaurant has become a firm favourite of ours! They have also helped us with a take-away to feed a party of 14 - all carefully packed and the food was just as good as in the restaurant. Everyone loved it! Thank you Crystal Restaurant! We'll be back!

Decent food, not the best or freshest ingredients but filling The cheapest Turkish in Wood Green and Green lanes though. Next time I’ll pay the few quid extra and go elsewhere.

Me and my family had food poisoning because of the 🦐 and the rice was hard

The meat was bright pink and very visible raw, even normal raw meat should not be this neon shade of red

The fish wouldn't talk back to me it's actually sad they need to train their fish better , other than that the food was good , they really need to train the fish to respond plus I think their dead.

One of our favourite restaurants in London; delicious food, huge portions, lovely staff, and very affordable. It's so good we regularly trek it across the city from Tooting for dinner. Totally recommend.

Honestly, that was one of the best Turkish restaurants I've been to. They serve really generous portions with fresh vegs. Good location and friendly customer service.

We always book and eat here everytime we have family occasions throughout the years.. service was amazing. Food is great for the value. It was a lovely great and wonderful evening , the food was amazing as how we expected, and the service was a special the staff it’s very friendly and professional especially from who we been served the waiter named Ali served us , and I’m thankful for the perfect service from him quick and patient thanks Crystal , thanks to the waiter as well Ali 🙏

The service was awful! Staff is poorly trained and they answer back to the customers. They took ages to get the food done and they told us they can’t ask the kitchen what happened because they get angry. They basically prefer to lose customers instead of having to comunicate with their own team. Also I ordered a cocktail 🍸 and after having half of it, I didn’t pay attention and they just took it and I asked one of the waiters why did they took it because I obviously didn’t finish, he’s response was : Why didn’t you tell me you didn’t finish it? Then he went back to the kitchen and brought me back the same drink and told me to have it because nobody touched it. (Like he did me a favour getting the drink back from God knows where in the kitchen, disgusting) 🤮 Awful!!!!!! Short story, I came here before and never happened something like that before. They have a new guy, longer hair, curly, really rude man! Food was nice but the guy who served us was really rude! Felt like he worked in a Zoo before, not among people!

Unfortunately, the service received was very poor, lack of communication. We ordered food and we received our meals after 1 hour 30 minutes.

One of the best Turkish restaurant I ever visited. Top quality food, service and desserts. Portions are big, food is delicious and its worth every penny you pay. Highly recommended!

Great food, freshly prepared and service impeccable.

Went for family lunch earlier as hadn't been for over a decade. We ordered the platter and when I was digging into the kofte I found a hair embedded in it. When I complained to the waiter he accused me and my niece of putting the hair there. I said it was highly unlikely due my hair being up. He proceeded to keep looking at our hair and said it could have fallen in. Needless to say our appetite went after this scenario. The manager was nice and offered us some free baklava and tea and a discount but unfortunately the damage had been done. I think I'll be sticking to local restaurants in Palmers Green from now on.

This place has gone downhill. Used to come here all the time now they got a tacky refurb with some cheap looking waterfalls and charge £16 for a doner wrap!

After years again been there and still perfect place for family dinner. Food is tasty and high quality. And "čaj" (tea) amazing 😉

The BEST Turkish restaurant in London. Food is delicious and the portions are huge. And the staff are lovely too. We travel up from Tooting to Wood Green just to go to Crystal. One of our favourite restaurants in the city.

I have been to this restaurant many times and I have never been disappointed. It has become our favorite family restaurant, I warmly recommend it.

we had 5 cheesburger the food was okay but the RICE PUDDING very untasty and the rice was undercooked when i tell this to waiter he just said to me i can give you another one !!! and thats all if i said that the rice is undercooked how can you give me another one if they are make all at the same time with same rice !!! not really happy . he was like he didnt care about what i said and when we paid he didnt say thank you nothing . thats very bad i dont reccomend this place at all . food is nice but the staff unwelcoming !

Food, Atmosphere, service, quality, portions and prices are great. Had a fine group booking with many different dishes, everyone enjoyed the food and service that was provided. Food was made timely and treatment from staff was great. Definitely recommend this restaurant. I'll be back again.

The meat was great and piping hot. Excellent. The Salsad had no dressing - unlike the Harringay Turkish, the houmous was bland. However, be aware - service charge is added to your bill automatically without any consultation. Would only return if I had to. A pity as the neat is very good 👍

Everything top class. Used to be my & my partner's fav restaurant , we were regulars 🥰. Unfortunately over 4 years ago we have left London and moved to Surrey, since then we cannot find top class restaurant like Crystal. Last Sunday we went to London and it was our priority to eat there . Well done 👏 👌 , food was amazing ❤️

The food here is very good. We had a party of 20+ people for a celebration. The manager, Tutku, made sure that everything happened as we wanted, including last minute requirements. Great party plates and vegetarian options with generous portions. It all came at a reasonable price. Our party sat by the front window and on a sunny day it was a lovely way to spend early afternoon. Thanks to everyone at Crystal. Totally recommended. Mark

An unpleasant experience. Cold food, few quantities and exaggerated prices for what it offers. The worst squid I've ever tasted, it looks like bread dough and of very low quality. I won't come back and I'll recommend my friends not to either.

Update 3: I am soo confused and don’t understand why you have changed all your responses, you have become more eloquent now which is a good thing. Of course, good English is always welcomed. Regardless, it seems though all your recent 5 star REVIEWS are FAKE. On close inspection, most of the recent individuals just created an account to post your FAKE reviews. This is highly deceptive and I will report it to google. Update - it’s sad that the restaurant mistaken me with another customer. It just shows that there are other complaints. Avoid this place at all cost. There are better places in Wood Green. Original review: I got food poisoned after dining in. The rice smelt funny and had gone off. The meat was very salty and oily. I assume, they fried out of date food and overcooked it with lots of oil. I raised this with the manager, he was defensive that the rice smelt funny because of the weather, he had no control of UK weather and laughed. He was very unprofessional, rude and aggressive. Unpleasant experience, I visited first time with friends, we had a very poor experience and our evening was ruined. My friends are unwell too, I had to take the day off from work to recover. We are never going back there again.

Worst customer service, avoid at all cost. We have been going to this Restaurant since 2010 (2 times a week). However, since 2021 haven't dined In except today. The staffs all changed and the new ones are rude and unprofessional. We ordered a platter and a veggie shish, the veggie shish pictures showed it had mushrooms but when it arrived it did not. We raised this with the waiter as feedback, he accused us of lying and that we ate it, he even checked the CCTV footage for skewers of mushroom. He knew he was in the wrong after checking CCTV footage but did not apologise. I told him that I was a regular and know the boss and his son, his behaviour was unacceptable and I will not be coming back, he says thank you and left. It was embarrassing with members of my family. Although my brother told me before that the customer service has gone really poor, I found it difficult to imagine but have been proved wrong. Kervan or Capital is way better and no wonder they are busy. Unfortunately I will never go to Crystal and refrain associates from visiting.

This is my favourite Turkish restaurant. The food is so delicious and fresh. I highly recommend the sarma beyti. The staff are always friendly and the food never fails to make me and my family happy. They always offer us complimentary Turkish tea at the end of our meal. Also the food portions are very generous!

I’ve been eating at Crystal restaurant for over 14 years now. The food and customer service is consistently excellent. I recommend trying the lamb ribs or lamb chops. Excellent marinate and bursting with flavour every time. You also get a very generous portion of salad and rice. The Turkish bread is epic too. The owner is really nice and always accommodating to me, my family / friends. Highly recommend!

The chef’s behind the counter are so rude and agressif , tried to ask a for a manager I was told he’s off that day. Then I realised that those type of places they operate in not caring and protecting each other. In fact the waiter looked more scared from the chef’s then me. Totally unacceptable to feel threatened by those machos. Never go back . Yes I have had food there and I wasn’t criticising food I was worried about the agressif behaviour of the chef’s behind the counter. After finishing eating today I couldn’t finish my plate so because I was running late to be somewhere I stood up and I took my plate to counter to be put in a takeout box . When I asked the first person in front of me if I could pay and get my leftovers out I was met with the worst response you could imagine. The chef’s pointed at me with his finger in a very rude and agressif manner that I shouldn’t do that which I still don’t understand what I did wrong! He said go back to your table and wait for your request. The place was quiet so I didn’t think that I was putting pressure on them. I asked that that’s no way he should talk to me. He didn’t care no apology then when I asked for a manager I was told just forget about it. Didn’t feel that I was appreciated. So read my review first before trying to solve this issue.

The service at this restuarant was excellent, the food well pesented and beautifully cooked..I had salmon with mash potoes and freshly cooked veg.
