Great pub. Big outdoor area for nice weather days. Free car parking for about 6 cars, otherwise street parking. Friendly staff. Has a function room, so good for small groups of up to 20 or so.

We frequently visit the ‘The Clissold Arms’ for drink and dinner and have become close friends with the owner and all his staff. In January it was my 60th birthday and so we decided to use the ‘Terrace room and Shed’ for the dinner party for our 50 guests. We started our research and were helped tremendously with support from Bianca, Costas and Kyriakos, Anetta and waiters Demitri, Nicos and Maloni who also gave us good advice and couldn’t do enough for us, with advice from food menu’s to drinks, music etc, On the day we arrived way before our guests to set up some decorations etc, the room was already prepared by the Clissold staff and it looked amazing, with tables set up immaculately, mood lighting, and a bar set up in the room. Our guests started to arrive, and they immediately said what a lovey room. All our guests were greeted pleasantly by the staff swiftly given drinks. Once everybody was seated music playing and everyone was chatting and socialising happily. After approximately one hour the food began to arrive swiftly, and which was placed in a room called the Shed. The buffet tables look so good with the most appetising looking Greek Meze with a huge selection for our guests to choose from. People started commenting how good it looked and tasted. Although we knew how good the food is at the Clissold are guests did not, but they do now. The night continued with us controlling the music via Bluetooth and then the cake with sparklers blazing was brought into the room by the staff. It was just all perfect. The night ended on a high, with hall guests complementing the food, venue and what a good time they had after being so well looked after. We would highly recommend The Clissold Arms for dinner, drinks, parties or any event and which they cater for all.

As we were approaching our table, a little dog ran over and bit my dog. The waitress came over to me and instead of asking if my dog was ok she told me that the dog didn’t actually bite my dog, which we all saw, even the owner, and that animals are animals and that’s what they do. She kept going on telling me that it’s not a problem whilst me and my dog were visibly shaken. As staff of a dog friendly establishment, if a dog who is off the lead bites another dog, your staff should make sure that the bitten dog is ok, demand that the aggressive dog is kept on the lead and taken us to a safe part of the pub, instead of patronising and further aggravating the affected customer. This is no way to treat your customers and a very irresponsible way to run a dog friendly pub.

Amazing Christmas Lunch Experience! We had the pleasure of enjoying Christmas lunch here with family and friends, and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was incredible, with large, generous portions that left us more than satisfied. The atmosphere was warm, festive, and welcoming, making it the perfect place to celebrate the day. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring everything went smoothly. This Clissold Arms is truly a gem, and we would highly recommend it to anyone. A lovely Christmas meal for a very large group of 23 with 9 children!! We were fortunate enough to book their “Shed” private room. The mains were beyond delicious with variety and huge portions for adults and children. A must for any family to enjoy a meal and have a great time with food food.

We had a fantastic Christmas lunch with a large group of friends. The team couldn't have been more helpful in the run up and made the whole thing very easy for us. On the day everything went really smoothly - great food, a lovely atmosphere and really attentive staff. I particularly appreciated how kind and flexible the team were in not charging us for the people who had been struck down by flu and couldn't join the group. We would come again with a group large or small in a heartbeat. Thank you to the team for a really lovely experience.

We just had our staff Christmas Party at The Clissold Arms. We booked the Kinks Room as a private function space. The communication before the event was fantastic and I can't commend the staff who looked after us on the night highly enough. They were very accommodating, attentive and made everyone feel special. On top of which the buffet menu we ordered was out if this world. I would wholeheartedly recommend this venue.

We had our Christmas lunch recently with 6 children and it was a lovely experience for all of us. We had an enclosed space so the kids can run around freely and we had our dog as well. The food was great we loved the mezzes and the kids absolutely loved the pitta bread! Despite all the noise and mess we made..the staff were super friendly we are thinking of making this an annual event location! Thank you to everyone at the Clissold Arms for welcoming us!

Had an amazing time on Friday evening when I attended a charity fundraising night. The service was impeccable and the food was so yummy. The waiters were very attentive and it was amazing value for money. They have a bar with every drink your heart desires. I recommend The Clissold Arms time and time again. Thank you all x

Ordered the sirloin steak, requested "well done" it wasn't so returned the bloodied steak to the kitchen. After 10 minutes the steak was returned and still pink with blood oozing. How hard is it to thoroughly cook a steak to specifications? £31-50 was pretty poor value, I won't be eating there again.

Food is amazing. The meat is so tender and delicious. I love how friendly the staff are. I’m a local but they’d make anyone feel at home. This is what dinner out should feel like! Go for the lamb on the spit. stunning

Came in as it was about to close early and the wonderful Nicos let us stay and eat. He told us many amazing stories about his life, as well as fun facts about the food! He was extremely charming, and because we were the only ones there he personalised the vibe for us - asking if we wanted the music changed, catering to our every whim. The food itself was excellent. It’s large portions, but we were all hungry so that worked for us! I had lamb and it was sincerely some of the best cooked lamb I’ve ever eaten. Delicious. Atmosphere was very warm and friendly, and The Kinks room was also extremely cool. This isn’t even a case of ‘I would come back here’ - I am actively making plans to come back next time I’m in the area. This is sincerely the easiest recommendation I’ve ever made. Good stuff.

It was truly one of the best meals we’ve had for a long time at a restaurant. Home made, delicious food. Whether Sunday roast or Greek food ; Baklava was also outstanding. Staff and owner were so welcoming. Also, a dog friendly place which was really appreciated. Will definitely come back soon 😊

It was a special birthday occasion in The Shed.. and the treatment by staff was indeed SPECIAL. The food and service was excellent, good value and generous helpings. All requests for digital playback of music and screen visuals were dealt with professionally. Many thanks go to Kosta (and his team) at the venue for his help and excellent service. Also to Bianca for her excellent communication emails for food, costings and any thing else requested. Very highly recommended.

The food was excellent and very enjoyable. The charcoal grilled meats and fish were cooked well and served with fresh Greek salad. Great ambiance and very friendly service. I will certainly continue to visit in future!

Me and my wife went here today for a Sunday roast and it was the best we’d had in a long time, service was outstanding and we had a great chat with a couple of the waiters about the fresh locally sourced produce. Would highly recommend!

Really amazing food. The mixed grilled meat and fish Meze was perfect! Very friendly service and owner a total gentleman! Really fresh and tasty. Recommend it highly as a venue.

Working with the Clissold Arms, we are growing a wonderful monthly comedy club. The SpeakEasy Online Comedy Club event works, because the staff are friendly and very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. We look forward to being in the Kinks Room and making people laugh for as long as they will have us!!

We love The Clissold ! So far we've had a staff Christmas dinner, a baby shower and a huge Christmas party there for our customers and friends. Besides that countless dinners and lunches. It is a great local pub with a greek twist. The staff are attentive and the food is awesome. Huge garden for summer afternoons. Can't recommend it enough

We had a wonderful evening for my husband’s birthday party . The planning was superb, The spaces were delightful,an outside terrace and an atmospheric inner room. The home cooked food was exceptional and all our guests loved it. Costa and the serving staff looked after us superbly and couldn’t be more helpful . The whole experience was really special. I would highly recommend the venue if you love good food and a great atmosphere.

I arranged a surprise 60th birthday party for my wife. The venue was great, the private room was perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful, before, during and after the party. The food was very good, in which all our 50+ guests commented, saying the same thing. My wife enjoyed the surprise and party, as did all our guests, a great night had by all!! A great venue for a party ….. we returned since for the Sunday roast, which i also highly recommend.

What a superb place. Nice vibe in the restaurant. The kinks memorabilia is well worth a visit. We only went in for drinks. We had eaten earlier. That was a shame. Perhaps next time.

What a great place! We live locally but never went here before… until now. Food is really good, and they take pride in it - quality ingredients, generous portions, and truly authentic Greek. My mother is a genuine die-hard foodie and she enjoyed it very much (which is no easy feat). The outdoor seating and atmosphere is lovely too, especially on a beautiful day. We usually go to another Greek once a week, but this just might become our new regular!

First time I've ever been, had a lovely family meal, Food was so tasty , service was 5 star Inc the staff, and my dad was reunited with his friends.

I have never seen such BAD HYGIENE. Stand where the till is and see inside the kitchen. The chef was eating from a bowl into her mouth with her fingers and then placing food on customers plates with her fingers. The young waiter took a phone call in the middle of talking to customers, and came across as arrogant. I had high expectations but sending the open kitchen video to the Food standards agency because there are laws that restaurants MUST follow and what goes on here, is a contravention of said standards. No parking was available, we parked quite a distance away.

A gastro-pub with a garden, famed for the 'Kinks Room' which has some memorabilia. Facilities for parties and a good sized indoor dining area. Parking space is limited to approx. 6 cars. Food is good and at fair London prices.

I was a teenager growing up in NZ & loving British bands in the '60s so a visit to The Clissold Arms was a must on my very recent UK trip. Spent 30 mins alone in The Kinks bar having a pint, a good look at the amazing memorabilia & absorbing the amazing "feel" of the bar. If you're a Kinks fan like me, this it baby, a must do!!

Brilliant, personal service. The waiter took time to explain every dish in detail and gave the background of where all the ingredients came from, which really made the experience fun and interesting! The food was delicious and having grown in North London, not all greek food blows me away like this place did. It was fresh and authentic and highly recommended! We will definitely be back soon!

I hosted a dinner party with some music and dancing for 17 women, the service before the event with regards to coordination, and the service on the evening was incredible! The space was perfect, they let us decorate in advance and were super flexible. It was very good value for money versus other private rooms I looked at in London, and it opens onto the courtyard which was great for a summer evening. My only slight feedback would be that there was way too much food, so much that people had a little bit of an anxiety around what to do with it all! I guess that’s a nice problem to have, but I would recommend making the portion sizes smaller, especially when you have multiple courses

We recently celebrated a birthday here and the customer service both organising the private room in advance and on the day was amazing. The food is delicious and consistently good. It offers authentic Greek cuisine but also does a fantastic Sunday roast! Staff are always super helpful and go above and beyond, they are also very tolerant of kiddies which we always appreciate ✨

Quick dinner post work on a Friday evening. Great ambience. Slow service but they were very very packed. Good quality -price. Compensation for the slow service with complimentary dessert was much appreciated. Will definitely repeat!

My friend and I are huge Kinks fans, we visited from Australia. We experienced the most lovely hospitality from Costa, we had the most delightful and relaxing time in the Kinks room listening to a huge selection of their albums. The food and wine and hospitality were second to none. We will be back. Thank you Costa, we appreciated you so much.

I went to a party here in the back room, from start to finish everything was excellent. The room was the venue for the first ever public gig by The Kinks and is full of wonderful memorabilia. The staff were so welcoming and the food was amazing, genuine Greek mezze - I think a lot of people were regretting having eaten earlier as what was described as ‘light nibbles’ was enough to feed an army! A perfect party venue.

A mixed group of friends (8) booked an evening there with live entertainment ‘Greek and International music night’. The Venue- have been a couple of times for a drink and always pleasant and nice atmosphere. The Live Music-very poor, we are Cypriot and we all reached the conclusion that the musician was not Cypriot or did not know the lyrics. The Food-overall we happy with the quality. Quantity, very questionable portion sizes for the price. We had 5 starters, 8 mains, 4 spirits, 5 beers,7 soft drinks, but read comments under The Bill. Service-not enough staff, a little slow but average. The BILL-we asked for our bill which came fairly quickly. We do not normally check the bill too closely as once we divide it equally we know if it’s acceptable or not…..£60 per person, total £473..we carried on talking and laughing preparing to pay when I asked’ who had soup’? Nobody had soup. We then checked the bill and went to question it. Whilst waiting and on further examination we discovered charges for 3 full types of starts but only received around half, the soup, pork kebab, chicken kebab, kleftiko and lamb cutlets all we never had. When directed to our waitress to question she just told us to go back to our table and she’ll come to us. Within 2 minutes she brought us a new bill of £366…how?…..sorry I gave you the wrong bill was the reply. Very strange coincidence that the only other large table of 7 had same plus more food than us foodies and exactly the same drinks. She was also telepathic because she never asked us what the problem was before bringing us the new bill. Not an inexperienced waitress but more like a well trained professional. Conclusion-AVOID The story didn’t finish as one of the group called and was offered a bottle of wine on the next visit.

Visited for the first time with friends. We were warmly greeted by Dimitris who was a fantastic & very attentive host the whole evening . The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly & the greek food was superb. All the ingredients were super fresh/home made and of the finest quality (explained to us with passion and pride by the wonderful Nicos!). The kalamari/dips/souvlaki meze and the deserts were amazing. If you love greek food you then the Clissold Arms is a must !

I privately hired the kinks room for a birthday party. The staff were super friendly and super helpful, supplying everything we needed for the night. And for a very reasonable pric!

Beautiful venue, superb food (the lamb is to die for!) and wonderful service, so kind, welcoming and friendly. Have been a few times to eat and meet friends for drinks. This time we had our baby shower here and it was fantastic. Great venue for events and the staff were wonderful and so helpful.
