Service is ridiculous. Everyone moves slow, no one’s doing anything just walking up and down. Takes over 20min for them to make your order and thats after asking where your order is as they have somehow skipped the oldest orders.
They need management asap.
I booked this restaurant for my family of 10. I received an email that confirmed my booking between the hours of 5-6pm. I called the day before to confirm my booking as I havent heard good things about this restaurant anyway and thought ill give it try for myself. I questioned the time as I've never booked a restaurant that did not give me a precise time to show up. They answered- all was confirmed and booked and said I can turn up between that hour- fine.
Why is it when I turn up with my party of 10 at 5.30pm I am being told that I never booked a table and that I have not confirmed my booking and nobody called yesterday to confirm. I showed the manager (who introduced himself as the manager) my booking confirmation; which by the way was comfirmed via someones iphone ( should of known by then this restaurant was not professional) he said oh I'm not the manager, I'm just here to help out.. then why the hell are you talking to me if you can't help. He mentioned we have a party of 40 people you will have to wait over an hour to get your food, they quickly put together 2 tables by the door bearing in mind I have 2 babies in my party of 10.
There is no customer service, no cutlery on the table, no menus. In the end we just walked out, there was no way in hell this restaurant was going to see a penny of my money.
Stay away at all cost- do not waste your time and energy and go to a WELL established restaurant that have customer service and actually remembers you even have a booking.
Honestly, when I don't like a place I simply don't review it, I simply ignore it.
I'm only really going because I'm obviously defeated!
I went 4 times before actually doing this review, each time the service was terrible, (in fact for it to be terrible it had to improve a lot).
With the difference that this last time the beer is cold (which it wasn't the other times).
The staff are always rude. The food is expensive because it is normal (which is usual in Brazilian places) and you have to wait 20 minutes for a beer.
And when I was talking to a friend (I don't know why she wants to go to that specific pub, as it's the same story every time and she always complains). I was threatened by the guard who would call security and ask them to throw us out! Yes that's right. And I'm not even being all, rude or something.
Honestly, it's not my problem if the staff has been working since the morning, I know it's tiring and exhausting, but he was the one who proposed this. I just don't think I have to suffer his wrath due to his exhaustion.
Simply commenting on the delay in service.
And of course the place allows smoking!!! What do you mean, it's a cigarette and it releases the same!!!
But anyway, for me, it’s the last place I go. I'm only going because of my friend.
Although after this publication, my entry could well be banned, as Brazilians don't like to be contradicted.

I was shocked to experience people still acting so ignorantly
Myself and my partner walk in to be served and nobody is around and all we can hear is a lot of laughing and talking in the back room. The entire time during the order, the lady serving us continued to return to the back and join in with whatever was going on back there. The service was terrible and so unprofessional and to top it off the shake was of a water consistency.
Disgusted to have eaten half our food and then find rat droppings in the bottom of the box. Even went back to notify them, and the man behind the counter just smiled “unlucky - buy another one if you like” won’t ever go there again
Ordered a savaloy. It wasn't. Not sure what it was made from but it wasn't pork. I know the area has more muslims now. But surely you can cater for everyone. Or at least let customers that have been going for years know?
The service is so hit and miss. A coffee shop at a station should have the better baristas due to its location. Most baristas in East Croydon Costa are not up to the standard required for such high pace location, that is mainly serving single drinks.
The “new(ish)” staff have been there since last year and it’s still like watching Bambi walk for the first time.
If, the till operator/barista taking the order was more focused on getting drinks orders correct, listening to the customers actual order and not assuming, and stop focusing on asking if I want a pastry, this would be a good start. Sometimes they are asking before I’ve even verbalised my order.
I understand the requirement for an add on sale but not at the cost of the main purchase.
I am trying out the other coffee establishments at East Croydon Station, maybe I’ll be back in Costa one day!!!

Tuve una experiencia horrible en Argentina Grill en BOXPARK Croydon el 20 de marzo de 2025 , y advertiría encarecidamente a otros que se mantengan alejados. Desde el momento en que planteé una cuestión simple, el miembro del personal fue grosero, desdeñoso y completamente poco profesional.
Pedí una hamburguesa de ternera, y aunque más tarde me di cuenta de que el menú tenía tocino en la lista, el texto era pequeño y fácil de perder. Cometí un error honesto asumiendo que no contendría tocino, como muchas hamburguesas de ternera no lo hacen. Cuando llegó mi pedido, inmediatamente vi el tocino e informé cortésmente al personal que no podía comerlo ya que soy musulmana y no consumo cerdo.
En lugar de manejar la situación profesionalmente, el funcionario fue grosero y desdeñoso desde el principio. A regañadientes quitó el tocino que tenía delante y me devolvió la misma hamburguesa, a pesar de mi clara incomodidad por el hecho de que el tocino ya había tocado el bollo. Cuando le expliqué tranquila y cortésmente que todavía no podía comerlo, ella discutió conmigo en lugar de ayudar y me dijo groseramente: “Bueno, la próxima vez tendrás que pagar de nuevo”.
Yo ya había esperado mucho tiempo por mi comida, sin embargo, ella todavía me presionó para tomar la hamburguesa, dejando claro que no la reemplazaría a menos que pagara de nuevo, a pesar del hecho de que ya me habían cobrado casi £ 17. Cuando intenté escalar el problema, incluso el gerente general de BOXPARK no pudo convencerla de manejarlo adecuadamente. Ella se negó rotundamente a reembolsarme u ofrecerme cualquier resolución, dejándome con una comida que no podía comer.
Para empeorar las cosas, fue tan arrogante y sin disculpas que incluso señaló el letrero y dijo que no le importaba si recibía una mala crítica. He incluido una foto que muestra este momento, una clara indicación de su terrible actitud y su total desprecio por el servicio al cliente.
Esta experiencia me dejó sintiéndome humillado, irrespetado y perfilado en lugar de ser tratado como un cliente valioso. Como mujer embarazada, el estrés innecesario era aún más molesto. Nadie debería tener que experimentar este nivel de hostilidad e irrespeto por un error honesto.
Dado que el restaurante se negó a resolver el problema, voy a disputar este cargo con mi banco. Además, mientras trabajo para el Ministerio del Interior, informaré a mis colegas sobre esta terrible experiencia para que no visiten este establecimiento.
Si te preocupa el buen servicio, respeto y profesionalismo, te recomiendo encarecidamente evitar la parrilla argentina en BOXPARK Croydon. La forma en que tratan a los clientes, especialmente a los que tienen restricciones dietéticas, es completamente inaceptable.
