Costa in Croydon

Always really friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

Me and Mum enjoyed having our coffees and toasted sandwiches at Costa Coffee in East Croydon last month.

Good afternoon, I have witnessed incidents with customer in your shop , customer bought sandwich , cashier on the tills name Costi asked very rudely if he wanted to hit up his sandwich, customer answered yes please , Costi said with really bad attitude , that’s because you didn’t say anything!!! . Normally he should ask the customer to heat up sandwich as every costa customer service do . this is his job to asked customer if he would like hot , very rude and aggressive behaviour, I will definitely never back to your store until you will change your staff.

Unfortunately, toilet doesn't work. It is not comfortable for customers ( Another service is good 😊

Great service, not too busy and fairly quiet area.

Useless service and the quality of the Chai tea latte was awful . And you also get shouted at and very offensive and long waiting times. The male server Casti is exceptionally rude to the female customers. The other female staff seems completely bullied by him. Really his behaviour needs to be reported to the owner. I don't know how he can allow this rude behaviour. He definitely needs to know how to speak to female customers.

I went to this Costa and a homeless man walked in and they kept bothering him and telling him he was not allowed to have a nap. Furthermore the shop was not busy at the time. There was only like 5 people in the shop.

Chai latte on take away. It was nice. Huge size drink. Very Fast service. Quick coffee before work. Many options available for hot and cold drinks. Variety of limited edition ones too.

Great! Next to East Croydon station as well so very convenient :)

I visited Costa Coffee in New Brighton seafront today at 3pm. After waiting an age to use the toilets I entered to find it completely blocked. This was yhe disabled facility as the normal one was locked deemed "out of order'. The two were therefore unusable and the disabled was so dirty it constituted a health hazard. I reported this to a "supervisor" who seemed not to take my complaint seriously did not seek to u.derstand my reporting to her and simply said, "the two are out of order then". Her reaction when I emphasised the seriousness of the situation was todeek to imply I was being in dome way out of order for reporting. I have drunk coffee at Costa for years. I would like to think my reporting/complaint should be taken seriously as this is not the first time this Costa outlet has been remiss in my experience. A previous situation had involved the non-wearing of masks.

Being to Thronton heath branch Croydon,toilet was filthy,informed but denied to check,after while several customers tried to use the toilet but staff member only gave the door code to customers didn’t bother to check if someone needed help as door was locked nearly an hour.I expressed my concern to Lady manager Name Magdalina(i guess this is the name or similar something)manger told me she is the manager so I can get out from the shop.I was shocked and so the other customers sitting there as well.extremely disappointing someone like her appointed as manager who thinks she own the place and tell customers in clear word to get out.other customer came to me later said she was disappointed and will make a complain against her too.poor,filthy unprofessional will never go back and will tell friends family to avoid too

Blackpool costa near Blackpool airport opposite Halfords been this morning with my business partner for a breakfast the staff soo slow been waiting for 15 min to be served and behind us were a couple young girls they been talking to one of the staff in foreign language and they get first served tried to talk to assistant manager Seth very ignorant and rude to customers never Costa again

I order a normal cortado , unfortunately I got a extra hot one with no milk foam at all . The worst Cortado that I tried in one of the Costa Shops !!! Disappointed!

The staff hygiene service was not up to standard. Or Customer Service Skills. Staff could not handle pressure of a few people in the line. Tipped Cutlery all over counter in frustration. Made Sarcastic comments when asked for clean cutlery. Manager unhelpful and unprofessional. Refused to help, and commented that it was a bank holiday as an excuse. Then made a personal comment aimed at me. Very sad and poor. In fact unbelievable .

We got a good to go bag obviously to save the environment and save us some money as well of course. When we ‘requested’ if we can be given vegetarian items, we were lectured and scolded and told not to order again. Terrible way to talk to a disabled person

Not super impressed by a Costa where you can't get your drink in a porcelain cup, when eating in....

What a rude manager Asian guy costa have at east Croydon station! He needs some customer service training from his employers ! Terribly rude and offensive individual.

Have been a regular at Costa in Burnham, Bucks. Today I noticed that they were storing their takeaway cups in the toilet. Disgusting. Won't be going there again. Tried to notify customer service but email option not working properly.

Very pricey , should get staff discount for working at east Croydon lol asked for her pumpkin spice latte the girl said no Starbucks do that but they have gingerbread and confusing with the Costa app , doesn’t really make a difference

Always chaotic - one staff in particular never writes 'O' on the cups for 'oat' milk and so I never know for sure that it's not cows milk which is stressful. She also shouts out the orders wrong e g. Latte instead of chai latte...then appears annoyed when I asked her to clarify. Wouldn't recommend going here.

I have 7 beans in total on 30/6/2020. I went to buy a velvet iced late and the barcode scanner was not working and was told it’s not been working all day. They can’t scan to add my final bean. So they said to come back in the next day and we’ll sort one out for free. I come in today on 1/07/2022 to claim it, 1- the barista shushed me rudely by putting her finger up to stop me talking because she was taking an order on her headset. 2- she didn’t even listen to what I’m explaining to her and assumed that I have the 8 beans on the app to get my free drink. 3- the other baristas came in and they said the barcode was working all day yesterday and were very rude about and implied I’m lying. When I described the barista who told me to come in and get the drink, they said we don’t have anyone get that was blond and i said he was thin, one of them assumed I said she was thick and said that’s not very nice. All was good here. I ordered a salted caramel type drink and it arrived quickly and tasted fine.

Went to Basingstoke store at festival place. The downstairs shop. Got totally ignored while 2 staff member messed about making their OWN drinks trying out different flavours. This is NOT what we have experienced in other shops and we were very disappointed as they completely ignored us and didn’t even acknowledge us. We walked out in the end and went to the upstairs one where a lovely lad served us. He was working alone and gave AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE 10/10 for him. The downstairs store needs to learn how it’s done !!!

Nice small place. Just inside East Croydon station building. Mean u no need to rush for coffee in morning. Grab a coffee n have ur journey. Purple of seats inside as it’s small Place. Staff is friendly n cool. Service is quick n fast even though there’s a queue in morning most of time coz everyone love coffee in morning ☕️

Had a oat latte..couldn’t find the original taste that normally Costa provide. Drink only half of the cup

Poor customer service, walked into the store staff didn't even acknowledge that I was there. One sat drinking staring off into space. The other was fussing about at the back. Stood there for awhile, walked right back out

Walk in X2 coffee machines not working. Manager really stressed. He thought it would be polite to scream only filter coffee and tea!

As a loyal Costa Coffee lover for many years I am very disappointed with the level of service and the standard of coffee made at this particular Costa location. There have been many occasions where I have politely requested for the cappuccino to be made "wet" but this ends up being just a takeaway cup full of hot milk which severely lacks the usual coffee strength desired. Subsequently, I kindly asked for the cappuccino to be made again correctly and explained to the coffee Barista that this standard of coffee does not meet the quality I usually get at other Costa Coffee Shops around the UK. I was unfortunately dismayed to be brutally ignored by the coffee Baristas. I feel deeply disappointed as usually Costa are very good at compensating dissatisfied customers. I currently feel devalued as a loyal Costa coffee customer.

Fast service, polite staff, however my green tea didn't have much flavour since the large cup was filled with water with a tea bag. Not Big deal but a rather have just the normal size cup .

Fantastic place with very friendly and super efficient staff. Sure the queue is sometimes out the door when a full train arrives, but handled very quick.

Annoying that you've closed 20 mins early.

Very convenient to East Croydon Station. Like the flat whites. A bit drafty in winter as some patrons don't bother to shut the door when they leave. (Just avoid sitting right next to the door or dress warmly.)

Having had a nice Ruby hot chocolate previously at the Costa in Stratford, I decided to get another one at East Croydon. It should come in a glass cup if you have it there but it didn't. The taste of the ruby hot chocolate here was not as good as croydon as it lacked flavour and all I could taste was the milk and a faint taste of ruby cocoa.

If you like coffee, if you like various ways to have your coffee; try Costa. Good selection of cookies and pastries to compliment your beverage.

The job takes us all over the capital. This is one of our favourite spots to take a break!

Why is there coffee 10p dearer than redhill. Service at 6.20 am is always very good and they work fast as I think they know people are on there commute to work.

A typical Costa, staff are friendly and the coffee is the usual standard you would expect from a Costa. The shop can get quite busy at rush hour and is probably a little small for it's location in reality with only 3 tables inside and the queues can be out the door.

Location Convenient as it's in East croydon train station, staff helpful and quick, products of good quality, prices are what you'd expect from Costa, size of shop isn't big but usually people don't stop for long, products range from coffees, teas, hot chocolates to sandwiches hot & cold, cakes, toast and other baked goods. Would recommend to anyone coffee lover.

I cannot thank the staff at this branch of Costa Coffee, enough for their continued help, support & respect. As a young woman I like to be as independent as possible, but as a wheelchair user I can often need assistance. My first encounter with the staff at this branch was when I had missed my train & become distressed. I struggle with journeys & public transport especially if I am alone. I took shelter in Costa to calm down. A member of staff jumped out from behind the counter & opened the door for me, the counters at Costa are very high so they asked me my order in the queue & processed it for me & discreetly assisted me with the card machine. This branch is very small & all the tables are raised on pedestals, so I was asked where was easiest for me to wait for my order as they could see I was distressed. They didn’t mind that I blocked a portion of the refrigerated goods & treated me with nothing but dignity & respect. Once my order was made, a staff member bought it round to me & hung my order in a Costa bag on my wheelchair so I hands free to hold my drink & still be able to control my wheelchair. They spoke to me & chatted as if we were friends & assisted me with the door wishing me a safe journey as I exited. I now visit this branch of Costa Coffee whenever I have to board a train at East Croydon. It’s now a familiar place where I feel safe, secure, respected & valued as a customer & a human being. Disability can be so isolating - these staff members restored my faith in humanity just by being kind. Thank you immensely.

Great coffee and the staff are incredibly nice and quick to serve which is brilliant if you're in a hurry and most people are.

Classico posto per fare colazione, ben fortino e staff ok. La classica catena di Costa che comunque tiene qualità altissima. prezzo direi 5/6£ a testa per una colazione come si deve

Very efficient. A good number of staff working constantly and keeping the queue down at all times and my very specific drink was made perfectly!

Pretty bad customer service here tbh, coffee has been pretty bad also, have complained to head office multiple times in regards to shoddy service and bad coffee so hopefully they can sort it out.

Your average Costa, a little expensive but good coffee

There is some seating at this Costa at Croydon station. Not loads though. Usual Costa standards. Service was a bit slow. Good range of snacks on offer.

Visited costa coffee in Croydon high street, service poor shop very dirty and tables have not been cleaned or cleared. First time visiting this costa, coffee not made as requested had to go back and ask again manager looked at me as if I was mad. Asked for double shoots and only given one shoot, will never use this costa again. Not recommend too visit poor all round.

This was nothing special, service was OK, coffee was OK....As expected for a Costa which is still above average. To be fair to them they were very busy at the time I went in the morning, but they should be used to that.
