McDonald's in Croydon

I recently visited a McDonald’s location in London Croydon and had an extremely disappointing experience. The service was slow, with an unacceptable delay in receiving our food. Additionally, there was no option to place an order through the automated kiosks or the mobile app, which added to the frustration. The staff seemed unprepared to handle the volume of customers, and the overall organization was poor. This location clearly needs significant improvements, both in terms of service speed and the availability of modern ordering options. I hope McDonald’s takes steps to address these issues to enhance the customer experience.

I went today to Mc Donald's and I ordered 14 items which is a big order. Even though there was no que and the store was nearly empty I still had to wait around 30 minutes for my order. When I finally got it 2 of my burgers where wrong when I tried to explain the Mc Donald's workers they sent me twice back to check what I had collected. After checking and explaining twice they went to redo my order. I had to wait for an extra 10 to 15 minutes and when I got my order for the second time my burgers where again made incorrectly out of frustration I got a refund as I couldn't wait longer.

We got off the tram at Centrale, walked through the shopping centre and when we came out it was directly opposite

Supposed to be fast food, yet I’ve been served faster at a restaurant

Queue times are so obscene that today I literally saw someone in the queue in front of me faint from standing for too long.

When I opened my double Big Mac it was a mess. It slid everywhere. What a mess. I rearranged it myself. Fries were soft. Wasn’t very enjoyable. Best thing about the meal was the drink. Coke. When you’re box ends up look like this you know it it was sliding meal.

So slow. So many servers. So busy.

The toilets for mothers and disabled people are not very clean. People without a child or disability use it also,the queue is longer than it should be.

Basic at best, but that's what you expect from a fast food joint. However, we waited 30 minutes for our food in this "fast" food branch of McDonald's - central Croydon. Appalling service!

I did not have a pleasant experience at this particular McDonald's outlet. There were extensive queues and a lack of self-order kiosks. If you plan to visit, please be prepared to allocate approximately one hour to receive your order, even during non-peak hours. While the staff members were undoubtedly helpful, it might be beneficial for the management to consider implementing self-ordering options to improve customer convenience.

Probably the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. I waited 15 minutes to be served before being told that the cashier was closing, then a further 10 to actually order. This is ridiculous. And you can’t order through the app/digital menu either.

service takes a long time, very slow, always an average wait of 30 minutes, they should think about offering electronic service like many others.

The burger is very good and very nice and very well made.

we ordered only four damn things and they still got it wrong.. we ordered dessert and checked but only to give us the wrong receipt THEY STILL CHARGED US FOR IT so we talked to them about it and manager came talked to us about it and told us we ordered 5 things, a skittle , oreo , 2 maltesers mcflurrys BUT WE NEVER ORDERED A SKITTLE MCFLURRY EVEN IF WE ORDERED A SKITTLE MCFLURRY THEN WHERE IS THE SKITLES MCLURRY .They were suppost to give us £4 back but then gave us £1.50 back. "Mc Donalds" more like Mc rubbbish

This has got to be the worst McDonald's in the country. You'll wait 10/15 minutes just to get served (when it's quiet), then a further 20 mins for your food (I ordered 1 meal). The toilets were closed and the staff are rude. When I was finally got served my food I touched the chips and they were ice cold. Complained, and the girl serving me shrugged her shoulders. This place is an absolute disgrace and should be closed!

Visited McDonald yesterday and ordered a chicken select meal. After consuming this meal I had a really bad food poisoning which I am still suffering from. The hygiene of the kitchen must be low or preparing staff doesn’t wash their hands or cook the chicken properly.

Customer service is lacking from management down to staff I come in this morning and the lady behind the till who served us is so rude and was not polite I have never received this customer service before

This place needs to be shut down - staff attitude and behaviour is no existence I get more response from touch screen devices In other McDonald's. No ability to use app and get points for meal. Avoid!

Dishes only from MC Do, very good. The Apple pie is still as good as ever but it has lost a lot of weight, but everyone is losing weight now except us.

They couldnhave more staff on the tills so the queue isnt so long and customers are waiting ages to order food or collect their food.

Fast food the idea is that you order and you get the food relatively fast. The concept of waiting 10mins every visit at 1pm due to under staffing for profit defeats the whole purpose.

This is my local . It's best to come early mornings because it gets very busy . Rosa is a very nice lady who works their always putting herself forward to help people without them asking. Always going that extra mile with customers. If only more people were like Rosa

This branch is like stepping back in time by 15 years. They don't accept mobile orders, there's no self service kiosks and no dedicated collection area. Once I got to the front of the queue, I was told they don't accept the McDonald's rewards app, so didn't order anything as I wanted to redeem some points.

A relatively poor McDonald's with no queuing system, no ordering devices and rude staff. The food is fine once you get it. There are plenty of seats though the upstairs is frequently closed - alas, that's where the toilets are....

Ended up at ER after getting food poisoning I wouldn’t recommend this mcdonald! Always some hygiene issues. Well after this control will be send.

I waited in queue for 25 minutes to order a meal. I do not recommend!

Food OK. It was clean and the floor staff did a good job. The cash and food staff behind the counter where a bit slow but it was not to bad otherwise. I see no problem going there, The over all running of the place was good enough and the chips were a reasonable size not just half empty, so that was good. You want a burger this is a good place to go.

This is the worst McDonald's I've ever been to by far. It's dirty. Outdated. The staff ALL without exception look like they are at a funeral ruining any potential atmosphere. Between ordering, waiting for 15 minutes for our food, collecting the food, sitting down, finding out they'd messed up a happy meal order and also left out an orange juice and going back to let then fix the error, the only words muttered to us were "next". No thank you, no have a nice day, no sorry about that, nothing. This McDonald's is exactly why serving staff are being replaced by machines and touch screens. There were no napkins available either until we asked for them. The food was fine, exactly what you'd expect from a McDonald's, but the service is a disgrace.

McDonald's was busy as always but I do enjoy there food service was very professional.

Wait time at peak hours was usual, at least 15 to 20 mins. Service was prompt and professional. The seating area at downstairs is always busy, but upstairs has ample seating capacity. Less people go upstairs.

Rude staff, wrong order, unprofessional employees

I waited 20mins for a plain double cheese burger and it wasn't even busy when I went in.

The McDonald's is very good and doesn't have any dirty so clean and the service good experience .

They closed everything at 830 pm and manager Trisha didn’t bother at all about business.One of the worst McDonald’s in this area.

Croydon has several mcdonalds, at least this restaurant has plenty of seating. Mcdonalds is not cheap any more and isn't great quality. The main problem is this in Croydon, where there are several stores permanently closed and the area is run down and full of let's say unsavoury characters. Stabbings here are frequent and the only shops open are bookmakers and low quality outlets. Seriously avoid this area if you can !

It's McDonald's so you know what to expect. UPDATE: Be prepared to queue a along time and then wait another long time for your order whatever time of day you visit. Today, i ordered a meal that came to just over £8.00. The person behind the counter tried to charge me £18!! As it was a special, i expected it to be hot, but when he brought it back to the counter, it was the wrong product - i specifically asked for "no bacon" and he tried to give me a product "with bacon". When he changed it, and i ate it, it was only warm, so must have been hanging around for some time. Also, the chips were barely warm. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE!! And it will be a long time before i consider using this branch again.

As expected, no quick tills that i noticed but still reasonably adequate service, cant go wrong with breakfast from maccy ds, n hot chocolate was actually ok, somone had kept eyd on syrup levels do that they wernt serving dish water

This is a unfortunate review to have to post. I've been to this location many times and the same issues seem to present themselves. Management either seem not to bother to rectify, or at this point they think it doesn't matter. Well here's a review so others avoid this location. 1). Toilets, if you can actually get into one, are best avoided. I've used them and frankly the cleaner must of been having an "Off Year". Gross. 2). Till and staff operating them. Loads of tills, tiny number off staff. It gives the impression they are popular, actually they are just incredibly slow to serve. FAST FOOD - oh not in the slightest, I've seen recently deceased move quicker. 3). Staff - the only upside, somehow in the chaos the management reside over, they remain friendly. 4). Heating in winter, seemingly often turned down to the very minimum and unwelcoming environment. Often the outer door is left in open mode, I assume at this point so people dwell for as little as possible. 5) layout - sure if you purchase your food, sit in the fridged environment and get lucky enough to avoid the toilet, you'll be met by someone telling you "we are closing in ten minites". Superb you think, no one told me at the till when I was ordering and clearly asked to eat in - Ah but details. Yes avoid, avoid and AVOID this one.

They're always busy at this branch, so be prepared to wait.

Toilets out of order. Was served cold food 2x tables and floor are dirty. Had to request the tables to be cleaned so that I could sit and eat my food. General attitude from floor staff is very cold.

Only one till and someone went out to the bank they didn't close the register so we could only pay by card

It's MC Donald's not much to say

it's very crowded. One member of staff guide me wrong about food has eggs in it , which is very risky to eat .and we got know after Finnish it . They didn't accept it . No compensation or sorry for it. But I still love to go sit and have bites there.

It is awful, the staff don't really care. I witnessed a old man almost scold a child with a coffee because the staff member handed the tray over the kids head.

There is no queueing system and unfortunately so many inconsiderate people push in front. This make waiting time even longer than it should be. Very poor buying experience, especially during peak times and when with children. This can be easily fixed by having clear markings or barriers for the formation of a queue.

Absolutely horrible service I ordered an hour ago and I live 5 minutes away wtf is this. It’s a Tuesday evening I know it’s not busy what the hell are these staff doing I ordered a Big Mac meal how hard is that to make in a fast food restaurant

North end croydon McDonald's has the worst customer service ever.Went to McDonald's this afternoon, and the cashier was extremely rude, slaming my food on the counter without actually putting it on a tray constantly rolling her eyes up in the air.Disgusting

Went to there this morning. Got my coffee and sent To second window. There I waited and waited 7 cars went by. Suffice to say was not a happy bunny. I banged on the window called and was ignored. Finally got meal and it was wrong one. Before I called they went off. Called, shouted, finally got proper meal and was refunded 50p..🤣 moral of the story don't let them send you to the 2nd window. I was fuming...!!!

In 2023 this McDonald’s still doesn’t have the new ticketing system. The staff still do the order and make the food at the same time. Average waiting time in a queue is 10-15 minutes.

A lady made her daughter push in front of me in the que. I politely insisted I was there 1st. She proceeded to scream and shout at me calling me all sorts of names. The staff did absolutely nothing even though he was staring in my face the entire time I was queuing. It was such a scene a lady with about 5 kids wanted to fight me and your staff did absolutely nothing. Disgusting I would never fight someone over a burger. And I was there first!!!! At least 5 to 10 mins before she even arrived. Staff are an absolute shambles no structure or organisation to the ques causing these petty arguments between customers. I could never run an establishment this poorly but the macdonalds name will keep it there forever. Won't even miss my money I now won't spend never going there again. Absolute trash and dirty toilet facilities. Do better! Avoid if you don't want to be fought by over weight manic burger lovers who don't know how to form a que behind someone already standing there. Staff will do absolutely nothing but gawp. Whatless

My childhood fave restaurant..in 1977 this restaurant was the fastest serving MacDonalds in the world..the staff ran to serve quick..now slow..but love sausage as n egg mcmuffin

The food was fine but, unfortunately, they don't seem able to clear the tables in a timely manner. The one floor staff must've walked past this mess dozens of times but never made any attempt to clear it so it remained there the whole time we were there. More floor staff needed, I think!

Food normally good as mc Donald's usually ia but the que/ ordering system is a free for all machines to order you just have to get to.the counter fast as possible be nice and you're gonna stand there for a while.

Worst McDonald’s ever! Don’t come here take yourself to church street 5 minutes away. Slow service, takes 10 minutes to order then 20 minutes waiting time for for your food. No ordering screens, not even any mobile ordering! I do not recommend.

If i could i would give 0 stars . Staff is rude and waiting time is crazy . I was waiting over 30mins and didnt heard an apologies. Staff with bad attitude. When i asked for my money back i was told to wait for my food because its cooking . Its my local mc donalds but im never going back there again.

It was full the only time I went in there, I wouldn't say it's bad but I can't say it's good. It's just average primarily because of the amount of people who were in there waiting for their order.

Dear McDonald's, I am writing to express my disappointment about my recent visit to your restaurant. As a loyal customer, I have always enjoyed your food and the convenience of your facilities. However, during my last visit, I had an unpleasant experience that I feel compelled to share with you. As a parent, I needed to change my baby's nappy, and I headed to the baby change facilities on the ground level of your restaurant. Unfortunately, when I opened the door, I was immediately hit with a strong ammonia smell that made me feel sick. I tried to enter the room to change my baby, but I found the smell overwhelming and couldn't stay inside. I had no choice but to change my baby in my car, which was inconvenient and uncomfortable. I am writing to you to express my disappointment in the state of the baby change facilities in your restaurant. I was shocked to find such a strong smell of ammonia in a space intended for babies and their families. I understand that the cleanliness of the facilities is vital, but the use of such strong cleaning chemicals is not suitable for a space that needs to be welcoming and comfortable for families. I hope that you will take my feedback seriously and take the necessary steps to improve the baby change facilities at your restaurant. As a loyal customer, I would like to continue to enjoy your food and facilities with my family, and I hope that you will take steps to ensure that this unpleasant experience is not repeated. The staff does not look like they want to be there. Tables don't get cleaned fast enough for costumer turnround. AC unit is directly above the seats during cold days in winter is not a nice expirance freezing and your food.

Fast food is not happening here. It is the busiest mcdonalds in Croydon and yet no electronic ordering system. The staff are stressed, confused and therefore, slow. The franchise owner needs to invest. I just walk down the road to the other two available FAST food establishments. It is quicker than waiting.

It gets very very busy in this McDonald's, there is rarely any seating as the restaurant is normally full and upstairs seating is ALWAYS closed. The only parking close by is in the shopping centres which can be pricey. Otherwise, staff are friendly and I don't have any complaints about the food.

Croydon has changed and its very slow service even when you have 3 ppl standing there .. i do understand you probably been on your feet all day but customer service is customer service at the end of the day

Food hot which is unusual for macdonalds tasted nice. Very busy but server was quick and efficient an asset to them

McDonald in croydon Is Always has been one of the best environment , fast and they are very very nice and breakfast staff, are one of the person's very very fast in the service for don't make losing time to the people rushing to work sometime the queue is longer but this is the policy of the fast food. I really very very very recommended and the peak hour is between one two three and five Seven O'Clock in the evening

Tasty food totally recommend for best restaurant

An average McDonalds centrally located. Very busy during shopping hours. Visited the place during a very busy time. Even considering this, the service was atrocious. No smiles , no hello, just a grumpy face looking at us.
