The best restaurants in St Pancras and Somers Town Camden London

This is the second incarnation of this space I have dined in - the previous was called the Gilbert Scott. This time the venue seems calmer and quieter - a rare thing for London restaurants these days. Soft furnishing and comfy deep seating - we stayed to chat after our coffee was long gone. But I found the menu a bit of a challenge - probably down to me but nothing really shone out so I end up with a starter and a further starter for main. It seemed to all work ok. So all in all a pleasant place with a little work needed on the menu. Staff seemed busy and a bit distracted.

Awesome food and awesome service. As starter we ordered tempura crab and crispy squid, both fantastic! As main dishes we ordered the entrecot, burger and pasta, everything was amazing! Good quality and good quantity. The new menu is a good selection, big shout to the Chef and Haneen, Dano and Roxana!

Juan was a dream! So lovely, knowledgable and had a laugh with us. He added to our overall experience and we would come back purely on how fantastic his service is

Always enjoy a stroll around F&M before heading out of town on the train. Whilst it doesn’t have the whole F&M coffee and tea selection, there is always a chance to get some family favourite biscuits or last minute present for an up and coming birthday/celebration

Great place, very unassuming spot. It was packed, I came at 2 expecting to avoid the lunch rush but they only had room for me! Shitake rendang was delicious, great sized portion, staff friendly and food very quick. My only critique would be I wished they had vegan roti!! It looks like they used to, and I would have loved to have tried it

Great place to chill in comfort without noise. Only had drinks. They also have a lovely conservatory style enclosed outdoor space.

The afternoon tea was the lightest most refreshing take on the tradition I have come across. Everything was delicious. Whole pot of tea each and tea large scones each, plenty of cream and jam. The restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. The location is just perfect, easy and stress free . The male staff were welcoming, the female staff were much slower to take notice when we needed things. Extra teaspoons and knives would have been useful when going between savoury and sweet items. I will be returning

We've been in the other restaurants of this hotel and wanted to try the afternoon tea with my husband and parents. The place is amazing, perfect space for chilling and enjoying a nice moment. We appreciated the decoration and loved the light coming from the glass ceiling. There isn't too much noise so you can discuss and it was also ideal for our 6 month baby to take a nap. The waitress was very professional and helpful. The only disappointment for me, who did quite a few afternoon teas in London, is the food quality. The price of the afternoon tea is high (70 pounds) and the sandwiches are basic, and the pastries aren't that good. The scones also weren't that great. For this price, I do expect a better quality of food, especially as I compare it to other afternoon teas i did with the same price range.

Siamo stati a panzo in due. Abbiamo provato il classic burger con e senza bacon (buono). Di contorno sweet potatoes e angry arissa fries (buone). Locale industrial. Personale migliorabile. Abbiamo speso con acqua del rubinetto GBP 28. Rapporto qualità prezzo buono.

Solían hacer café muy bueno. Los 2 cafés y 1 Matcha que nos sirvieron no eran potables. Parecen estar usando algún tipo de cafetera semi instantánea. Para darles crédito nos dieron un reembolso completo - alrededor de £ 12. Nos fuimos y cogimos muy buen café en la cercana Blank Street.

Personal fantástico y selección de cosas deliciosas y un gran servicio 😀👍. El tipo era tan servicial y conocedor y descubrí algunos bares nuevos que me encantan. Cliente muy contento 😋

We originally had plans elsewhere, but cancelled to eat at German Gymnasium and so glad that we did. Portion sizes were huge, beers were even moreso. Schnitzel, delicious burrata caprese, and massive double pints made for a memorable evening.

Fuimos a cenar y nos decepcionó la calidad de la comida. Los platos principales que pedimos particularmente el filete sabía a mala calidad, las patatas fritas estaban demasiado cocidas y la salsa de pimienta en grano era terriblemente fino / acuoso! ¡No es cómo se debe preparar una salsa de pimienta en grano! Por el precio pagado, muy molesto. El servicio también fue muy decepcionante, sin check backs apropiados o recargas de agua! El restaurante no estaba ocupado tan inseguro de por qué no había personal de espera presente / disponible a través de nuestra comida para plantear tales problemas.
