The Booking Office 1869 is a great place for a "fancy" drink or coffee with friend near St Pancras: it's a bit hidden in the station but once you enter, the place is huge with different areas (bar, different booths, indoor terrace, outdoor terrace). The atmosphere is amazing: a warm and elegant vibe with tall arches, and soft golden lighting, feels like being in a different era. The service is very good, although a bit long to get attended. On the pricey end but I don't mind for a bit of glamour sometimes.

This was a nice relaxing meal as the music was chill and the lighting was dimmed. We shared the hummus, corn ribs and chicken between 4 of us and it was lovely especially the hummus and corn ribs ! When we got our main it did take a long time and the food was cold but our kind server sent it back and it came back hot which was good and then after that they kindly gave us different desserts on the menu to try for the inconvenience which they didn’t have to do and then as it was our birthday they gave us an extra dessert too which was so lovely and a big shout out to our Greek waiter as he was really nice and helpful !! 💓 I recommend the crème brûlée, corn ribs, hummus and the baileys dessert 🤩

When I came in, I was wearing an oversized black coat that may have made me look not that nice but inside my clothes were fine, the host at the entrance judged me and didn't want to seat me, after inviting he gave me the furthest table in the corner saying there are reservations but the entire place in the middle was empty for the duration I was there. The lady who served me was very very nice. Place is stunning but shocked by the service therefore the low star.

Really great food with generous portions:huge fried fish sandwich! Recommend the Sgroppino cocktail. A bit of theatre with ginger sorbet topped with champagne. Delicious too. The room is beautiful; quiet luxury. What made the difference however was the member of staff who made such a fuss of our 18 month old granddaughter. She absolutely loved him and so did we! Thank you.

A wonderful venue - amazing decor - and considering where it is, not outrageously expensive. The starters and desert were delicious and the aubergine main course was unusual and very much enjoyed by my friends. My trout was a bit disappointingly tasteless. I will definitely return.

Stumbled by accident,.as both myself and family were looking around St Pancras, it was early morning and we noticed people eating breakfast, I asked of we.needed to.pre book but they explained minimum spend 25.00 could have a table in the central area, we agreed. We had silver service, immaculate clean, beautiful vintage space, staff were excellent friendly,.proffesional and good sense of humour but.keeping proffesional at the same time..The food,.we went with a fruit salad, small.fried breakfast, I have to say, I have ate in many cafes,.restaurants some 4 and 5 star, I have never enjoyed my breakfast as I did this day. It was cooked beautiful, fresh and well sourced ingredients, presented lovely, hot, all the complimentary salt and pepper,.jams available. I will certainly call again , both myself and family felt so relaxed and rested following our trip to your restaurant. 10.our of 10. Lovely,.well.worth the money.

This is a beautiful restaurant in a lovely well restored hotel and for that it is worth a visit. I would note however it is quite dark at night with very low lighting and odd tables. The food was fine - nothing special and as you will see from the menu pretty expensive. Service is a bit weak too.

Shamefully didn’t take any photos sadly, but was on a meal business dinner just prior to Christmas with one of our supplies who took the effort to come down and see us in London. So, me being tasked with finding a nice place to have dinner near King’s Cross, this was in the perfect spot accessible via the grand platforms of St. Pancreas which certainly sets the upmarket theme. The ambience and atmosphere is quite exquisite, nicely lit with these classic tall ceilings, the stunning illuminated bar all nicely balanced with pot plants. Obviously depending on the time you come here, but it’s hard to not notice London’s hustle and bustle vibing here for cocktails and drinks either before or after a business trip. There’s different menus throughout the day/week and even seasonal and special menus depending on the time of year, not forgetting a Sunday Roast menu too. Booking for dinner, the menu isn’t massive, which isn’t a bad thing. Better to be small and selective and specialise right? But does have enough to suit most people’s tastes with a limited selection for vegans. There’s items from the grill, sharing starters like cured meats, oysters and olives among others with a selection of mains including pasta and fish dishes. I myself going for the Cashew Hummus to start and the Booking Office Cheeseburger which comes medium with smoked bacon and their own sauce. Not forgetting a pairing dessert menu which is always good to see. There’s a large range of spirits, malt whiskeys and cocktails to be had with crafted selected ales and beers. Booking is recommended and was fine to do online. Sadly two of our party had to drop out last minute but they were very accommodating and even allowed us to stay a little more beyond our time, but do expected to be moved if very busy and been allotted a time slot. The service is amazing, especially if you get to meet the Italian chap there who is such a character, he certainly makes your visit memorable. (Forgive me as I didn’t get your name! - we wasn’t paying so didn’t see the receipt). But all the staff were attentive, knowledgeable and more than happy to help. Ideal for a date night, small gathering or business visit, but do expect it to be a little on louder side during peak periods.

The space is lovely and the staff very friendly. Food was delicious but the mains portions are very small. Drinks are extremely expensive so we ended up with a bill of £115 for two with starters and sharing a main. A glass of Chablis was £17... So very nice place but in my mind, way too expensive.

Whenever I’m in London, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit for me. The service is flawless, with attentive and friendly staff who make you feel genuinely welcome from the moment you walk in. The food is consistently outstanding, featuring a menu that perfectly blends creativity with classic flavors, ensuring every dish is a delight. The ambiance is warm and inviting, striking a balance between sophistication and comfort, making it perfect for any occasion. Such a nice lunch while waiting for the Eurostar. Luggage taken care of. The House Martini was just perfect, so the cod roe and as main the chicken pasta. So good! So nice!

After my awful experience with the Hansom the evening before at Renaissance hotel I wasn’t very much looking forward to the breakfast I had booked as a treat for my partner and I to end a wonderful Christmas vacation. I couldn’t have been more wrong, such a lovely welcome from lady on front of house, our waiter and servers were so polite, charming and engaging. The breakfast, the ambiance and surroundings were amazing, such a lovely way to end a holiday before getting the train home. Look forward to coming back.

Expected much better. Very average roast with a hefty price tag. Had to ask for salt & pepper, napkins, adequate gravy, someone to take our coats. Not really good enough to be honest. London has a lot of top-notch Sunday roasts on offer and this is not one of them. That being said, clueless tourists will probably love it and post gushing reviews...

Beautiful venue with lovely lighting, and the staff were polite. Unfortunately the breakfast was poor - Avo on toast with poached eggs, but the toast was just bread, and the avocado was simply a half an avocado on the side of the plate. No lime, chilli, or any other flavours, it was beyond bland and boring. Wildly basic and £16 plus service! Won’t return unfortunately.

Fabulous restaurant with good vegetarian options. Accessed directly from St Pancras station, it has an incredible high ceiling with walls restored to their original 1869 design, and trees inside the restaurant. The menu is good with options for vegetarians, and wide variety of meats. Staff were very attentive, knew their menu well and were able to suggest options based on our preferences. Highly recommend that you book in advance.

It’s a very lovely atmosphere to sit in. Our waiter was kind and cheerful but due to not enough staff, long waits to order and getting our drinks. My biggest disappointment was the £24 charcuterie board! Limp presentation and very little content! Next time we will walk to Coal Drops Yard where the atmosphere is matched and better quality food.

I am a Marriott Bonvoy Member. I booked the Lunch Set Menu (3 Courses for £35) from Marriott.com website. Apparently they have stopped doing this offer a couple of months ago!! It’s False Advertising by DECEPTION!! No Apology or anything of the sort by Anyone!! The Staff Couldn’t Care Less!! Waiter/Steward: (Mr) Tzouliano was Utterly CLUELESS about the Food in the menu!! Anyway we had to wait nearly 45minutes for our Food. Cheeseburger: was pretty basic Rump Steak: Ordered Medium Well; but Arrived Rare-Bleeding!! Absolute Ripoff/Daylight Robbery!!

My family and I came to the Booking Office for Christmas lunch to change up our traditions, it was the best decision we made! The food, the service, the vibe, everything was amazing beautiful and fantastic. It is a must for everyone to experience it at least once to get into the Christmas spirit, the service and care they put into making sure the guests have a great time is amazing and they keep an eye on your glasses of water to make sure you are happy! Our server was an amazing, an Italian man who made the experience so much better he was so lovely and chatty and made sure we was happy and comfortable! Wish I knew how to spell his name so here’s a picture of him instead! 10/10 would recommend. It is abit on the pricy side however the price speaks to how amazing it is! The detail I just can’t explain!

Fabulous as ever. Oysters, tartare, English Sparkling and the Laurent were all beautiful. Oh and the complimentary house cocktail = nicely done.

Excellent setting and the service is lovely. The roast dinner was nice, the meat particularly was great but the vegetable/trimmings selection could have been better. It was a bit plain.

This is such a great place to quietly enjoy a drink, breakfast or anything else. The staff was extremely nice, especially Olga who is so welcoming. We never felt pressured to leave, yet we were always asked if we needed anything else. Even when the kitchen closed, one of the managers organised some bread for my friend. Will definitely come back!

Had an amazing dining experience at The renaissance, Booking office 1869. The Cashew Hummus and Beetroot tartare were bursting with flavor, and the buttermilk fried chicken was perfectly cooked and indulgent. No doubt about Cacio e pepe tortellini was the star. Special thanks to Mr. Sangram shinde for making our dinner more enjoyable and memorable. Our waiter Rossario was so friendly and offered us special delicious Birthday dessert that ended the meal on a high note. And of course Ms.Lena for taking out time from her busy day and guided us towards the famous grand stairs. Best wishes to all the team. Will definitely return!

We had an excellent Sunday lunch, the building is impressive and the atmosphere sophisticated. The service was brilliant from the minute your were greeted. Very good wine selection which was a bonus for me. First rate Sunday lunch, Oysters followed by Beef and Creme Brulee dessert with good wines. Staff were friendly and wanted to serve - we will certainly be back

Our first visit & thoroughly impressed from the minute we arrived & were greeted front of house. The setting is excellent, a warm relaxing atmosphere in the old station with its high vaulted ceilings. Service was excellent & as I am The Winefan I was impressed with the wine list and the option to enjoy good wines by the glass or carafe. We chose 1/2 dozen oysters, followed by roast beef & creme brulee, all accompanied with wine, of course. Highly recommend and will certainly go back for the food, service and wine

We booked a Sunday roast and we weren't disappointed. I had the chicken and my husband the beef. Everything was very tasty and yummy. The atmosphere and decoration is very impressive and Instagram worthy. Very beautiful and fancy. Though, I thought the price of the Sunday roast was quite expensive for what it was. It is more for big occasion.

A lovely bar located in the Renaissance hotel in the historic St Pancras station in London. Absolutely stunning decor and a unique experience having food and drinks in a renovated train station. Definitely spend some time post your meal exploring the hotel as well as there is a magnificent staircase to explore as well.

I came for a roast dinner, it was in Timeout as a fantastic roast. Unfortunately it wasn’t turned up like warm, no flavour and general lack lustre. The atmosphere is fantastic, I didn’t eat any of the other food so I am unsure of the quality but the roast was poor. Maybe a great place for a cocktail to enjoy the environment.

Very disappointed with the quality of the Sunday roast. Whilst the sirloin was delicious & thinly sliced, the accompaniments were luke warm, the potatoes were so hard on the outside that it was difficult to penetrate them with a knife & the yorkshires were over cooked. There’s no doubt this is a lovely place to enjoy a drink and the acoustics are great for talking but I would not recommend the food.

I've had some great breakfasts here, and fabulous cocktails but today I went for a birthday Sunday roast and it could have been better. food was late and arrived cold, roast potatoes were rock solid after too long under a heater. Sent back. Many apologies followed, to be fair there was a recognition that things had gone wrong and seemingly a willingness to put it right. Food arrived again after 20 mins or so. Cold again but who wants to ruin a birthday with a public food at the table? I had a quiet word with the head waiter who again was most apologetic but we were an hour and a half after ordering by now. He offered free desserts ( not wanted we need to go by now) and knocked off the cost of 3 glasses of wine. Small consolation when you've spent £250 on a Sunday roast for 4. There's obviously a willingness to get things right here and the waiting staff were attentive and pleasant. The beef was good but cold when it arrived, also a major problem when dinners arrive stone cold twice, paid £35 per person for the food. It was cold, late and we got nowhere near our money's worth. Very poor. I'll not be back for the food

Vibe of an american-style venue with very nice drinks and very good food. Precise service, as expected in such a refined restautant. One negative comment: did not really enjoy the view of the trains and of the inside of the station.

The place is gorgeous, the atmosphere is stunning. The food is ok, but nothing to shout about from the rooftops. The service is mixed. We probably would have had a better time had the receptionist not assumed we could not afford lunch there and pushed the menus in our face just to make sure this place is ok for you

It is one of the house bar & restaurant formerly built in the 19th century St Pancras Renaissance Hotel. It opens at 7am in the morning, which is very suitable for travelers heading to the station in the morning, and then stays open until late at night. It can be regarded as one of the hotel's all-day dining places. As part of St Pancras Chambers, which was famous for its gorgeous architectural style in the 19th century, the large structural style of the Booking Office 1869 inherited from the ticket hall of the predecessor St Pancras Station is naturally gorgeous. The most eye-catching is the extremely high space and the same The very high and large windows to the outside, the window frame design has the classic classical gorgeous style of St Pancras Chambers, but I think what’s even better about Booking Office 1869 is that its interior design further enhances the environment, including the use of various colorful Large chandeliers, plantings, especially tall palm trees, etc. In addition, adding the original ticket window into a bar is another admirable ingenuity. The blue-green bamboo strips are posted under the bar. Very stylish too. Overall, the environmental style of Booking Office 1869, which was praised by various media when it first opened in 2021, deserves full marks. With such an environment, Booking Office 1869 is one of the most beautiful station restaurants if not the most beautiful. The full English breakfast I tried this time because of my schedule was of a certain standard from the presentation to the meal itself. Although it was not as stunning as the environment, it was not far behind. All the meal items were not overcooked. The taste and aroma are also good. Even in Greater London, it would be a decent English breakfast choice. Recommended as a restaurant worth trying in St Pancras/King's Cross, the environment is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Been here a few times with work and also with family Best cocktails in the area and we were lucky to be there on their anniversary where they made us some punch on the house

I used to be a big fan of the Gilbert Scott bar, and I was hoping the Booking Office would carry on the tradition. I have tried to go three times and each time the concierge has ignored me or wandered off. Now I get a sort of Groundhog Day feeling whenever I consider stopping by. Strangely Searcy's, just down the road, presumably under the same management, doesn't have these issues.

Lovely setting. Good food. Unfortunately, our breakfast main course arrived before we had finished our, generous, fruit salads. I had the impression that coffee involved free refills. This may apply to regular Americano, but I had decaf & my wife had both. Our coffee bill was steep.

The food here is great and so is the coffe maker Daniel who did some wonderful designs on the coffe, overall a really good experience at the booking office.

The wait for our drinks order to be taken was over 30 minutes, and it took 45 minutes for our first drinks to arrive after arriving. The hosts are polite, but the system seems to be a little broken. Of course, the food and decor is beautiful and I visit here when you have time would be recommended.

We were received by a loveliest lady at the front, and the waiters were equally great. The food was absolutely amazing. I had one of their recommended cocktail and will definitely go back for it.

Service was poor and very slow… Waiter was barely attentive and our roast took almost 2 hours to come. Roast was also average. The only good thing about this place is the Ambiance. Would not come back and not worth the trip

Beautiful ambience, incredibly kind and welcoming staff PLUS great food. Too few placed in London hit all the high notes at once. Thanks to the team at the Booking Office for a great evening the other night, reuniting with friends from outside London! Made our city feel like the best :-)

Very nice looking. Service started well, but disappeared mid-through. Food was solid, but not memorable.

I want to preface this with saying me and my husband worked in the service industry for 10 years, we are very chill go with the flow customers. I have never made a review before but I felt like this needed to be at least expressed in some way. The decor and look of the restaurant is amazing and the food was very good however the service was not what we expected for how much we spent. When we got there out we were greeted by an extremely friendly person at the host stand who made note that we made the reservation and stated it was our honeymoon, he was excited for us and we were in general excited about it being our honeymoon. We were seated and didn’t receive any service for around 20 minutes, which we laughed off but were a little confused. Once a waiter came over she was amazing but we discovered by observation that where we were seated was not her section. Our actual waiter, Lazario, then switched back to our section and our waiter. He was aloof and seemed to blame the table confusion on us. He never came to ask how our food was and never filled our waters without being prompted to by another employee or by one of us. The tables around us were checked in on by those who looked like shift leads or managers but no one came to check on us or ask how we were doing. The cherry on top was as we were leaving. We were waiting behind a large group of seven women who were being helped at the host stand by a man who appeared to be a manager. He was very happy and jovial with the group helping them get their table but when it came to helping us his demeanor changed. We told him we just needed to pick up our luggage, and that another employee had put in their luggage closet. We were handing him the bag check ticket and he, in a very annoyed tone, went “what is this”. He did retrieve our bags but we again were not asked how our experience was, and were met with short and harsh service. We went in excited and happy to be ending our honeymoon at Booking Office 1869 but the service fell short for us getting drinks, a starter, appetizer, two entrees and two desserts.

Mark, what a gentleman! Went to Booking Office with my wife for our anniversary, were greeted by two lovely ladies, after we were taken care by Mark. He made us feel like royalty. The food, atmosphere is 10/10. We were even given a little anniversary surprise at the end. And Mark kudos for the French wine names pronunciation.

I came in here on a Tuesday night to get a drink and do a little work, whilst waiting for a train. I was unceremoniously told that laptops were not allowed. I decided to leave, as the only other option was to move to the lobby area in the hotel, a completely different space away from the bar. In all honesty, I would probably avoid this bar for the foreseeable, even though I am a regular visitor to St. Ps - the staff weren't exactly "friendly" this time and if I'm not allowed to sit in the corner, answer a few emails, whilst nursing a pint, well, there are other places in St. Ps just as nice that can offer me that option.

Absolutely terrible and over priced Sunday roast. Cold vegetables, under cooked parsnips, no crunch to the roast potatoes and £35 for the displeasure. I was so so disappointed. I ate the beef (what there was of it!) and the Yorkshire pudding. Also note that the beers are not full pints.

Fantastic place! The host Olga was very welcoming, beautiful ambience and great service . Especially the waiter Marc was very friendly. Got recomended the Orange negroni and o. singleman , very delicious. Had a great time!

Very polite staff but not enough of them. I think our waitress had 12 tables. Confusing to find if arriving by Tube, recommend going completely outside, then up into the exterior plaza.

We called in here before catching a train back to the East Midlands. As we hadn't made a booking we were seated at a shared table. The bar/restaurant is very dimly lit. Some might call it atmospheric. A round of 4 alcoholic drinks was approx £60 so it's not cheap. If you have an hour to spare before catching a train it's a nice place to kill an hour plus the toilets are lovely.

This place is truly magical. I love how they’ve transformed the old train booking office into a stunning bar and restaurant. After a long day of shopping, I decided to unwind here, and from the moment I walked in, I was transported into a world of old-school glamour. The hostess was attentive, the waiters were incredibly knowledgeable, and the cocktails—absolutely out of this world. I had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Artan, who made sure every guest was receiving 5-star service. His attention to detail, charisma, and warm personality made me feel like an old friend. Artan recommended a few snacks to accompany my drink, and they were so good that I ended up staying for dinner. I truly didn’t want to leave! Highly recommended! I can’t wait to come back.

The lovely lady at the entrance Gabriela accommodated us even though we didn’t had a booking and were served by a nice waiter called Chai for whom any request was not too much trouble. The restaurant looks fantastic and the food was great but it was the staff that made me want to come back again soon.

This bar/restaurant located next to King's Cross station. You can actually see the train platform from the window seat. I had enjoyed a perfect cocktail with historical details and spacious environment. What a great end for a night in London!

My partner and I had a lovely time in celebrating her birthday at Booking Office 1869. Which was most special for the both us, as it was also the very first place where we had our first date. I'd like to thank the staff and the chef for the high standards of their service, and we look back to returning again in the future with friends and family.

Excellent venue well situated. We enjoyed the 3 course lunch menu which included a glass of fizzy. The smoked chocolate dessert was outstanding. The staff we attentive, very professional and could not be faulted. All in all an absolute pleasure.

Had the best breakfast in the most beautiful dining room in the city! The Service was impeccable, also the staff were very welcoming, especially Julio and Joy who were very friendly and elevated the whole experience. I will definitely recommend!

Food was great, I am not a fan of steaks but they cooked it the way we wanted and to perfection, I think. Rosario, was great and very charming and gave stellar service.

The Booking Office 1869 in London is a visually stunning restaurant with an interior that captures the elegance of Victorian design. However, my recent experience there was far from satisfactory. Despite the promising ambiance, I found myself waiting an excessively long time to be served. Unfortunately, the service was so slow that I eventually decided to leave without having eaten anything. While the decor is undoubtedly impressive, the poor service overshadowed what could have been a delightful dining experience. Improvements in service efficiency are essential to match the grandeur of the setting. I will give this place another chance however when I’m in the local area again.

This most gorgeous period Restaurant, nestled inside the incredible St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel was truly a treat to imbibe and dine in. Our T-Bone for Two was cooked perfectly and our wines were just as good. The highlight of our visit was the amazing ambiance, and the food, but the beautiful service we received from Fi was what made our evening so special.

The menu offer some dishes with some interesting ingredients mix, which kinda blends together but leaves a weird but satisfying taste. I think the menu was a bit boring so I was pleasantly surprised that the vegetarian burger I ordered was tasty and delicious, very filling but not to heavy. I HIGHLY commend the Kiwi mousse with citrus and rosemary! Like I said,interesting mixed of flavour that's leaves a weird and satisfying taste. Alex our host/waiter was excellent and knowledgeable, and despite being busy offered a great service. Personally perhaps it was where we were seated but personally it was to dim for me. It's been on my list for a long time as the resturant is part of a iconic hotel that's been featured several times across the different media platform, and pop culture. Check the hotel out.

Kings cross little hidden treasure. A touch of class. Good quality food and the scenery is amazing. It's a 10/10 for me. To the chef your work speaks for itself A1. It's my fourth visit and definitely not my last.

The 3 starters were delightful - hummus, taramasalata, beetroot. My chicken was ok as were the broccoli & potatoes

Celebrating my son’s gcse results and food took 1.5hours to turn up. Very expensive and very slow- overall ruined the experience.

Me and my partner came for a meal to celebrate our anniversary. We had an amazing time, the waiter was fantastic and even organised a little anniversary treat for us. He catered to all our needs, I could not recommend this place enough. The restaurant is beautiful, we had such an amazing time

A very stylish British lunch restaurant, located in a station area. The food is of a high standard. Coupled with its decoration and atmosphere, it makes you feel happy and relaxed. I call it Zuo's medium dry-aged steak, which I think is the best steak in Europe. I also call Zuo's cup London light, which has good MSG. There are not many people and the price is a bit expensive, but they are all worth recommending.

Great food, ambience and service. We celebrated my aunt’s 98th birthday and this was truly the perfect place. Rosario took great care of us. Definitely recommend!

Marvellous food, very, very tasty, if somewhat overpriced. There was no consistency to the servers, a different person almost everytime. Though all of them were very polite and conscientious.
