Lovely cafe - would recommend coming here. It is on the pricier side but that is to be expected for the location. Only negative was the coffee wasn't that hot. Dippy eggs were great! 😁

Super relaxing spot to have a tea and read. Sandwiches and cakes are also incredible, especially the tuna melt and cupcakes (if you like buttercream).

In the alley of Hampstead, there is a dine-in shop and a takeaway shop on opposite sides. Business is very good on weekday afternoons and it is fully booked, but the service of the shop staff is very good. I want to try brunch next time. - Flat white is a rich series, smooth and quite satisfactory. - The cinnamon bun sold in the takeaway shop is quite big and well worth the 4.2 pounds. It has a good blend of crispy and soft and is not overly sweet. It is amazing! Recommend 👍🏻

Terrible salt beef sandwiches. Over the weekend I paid £13 for a salt beef sandwich. The beef was thick and rubbery, I couldn’t bite through it at all. The rest of the sandwich - the bread, cheese, pickles, dressing was great, but for the price I paid I could have had a gourmet burger from a restaurant down the road.

The places is quite small, but the coffee and cakes were good. We tried the carrot cake and my friend had a slice of cheesecake. I think the cheesecake was much better!

We ordered the vegan gluten-free avocado toast and it was very good and super filling. The bread was very good because it was gluten-free, one of the best I have ever tasted. The mushrooms for the toast are very tasty. The smoothies are very delicious too. The coffee was not bad but not the best. The attention is not very fast but correct. They charge 12.5% ​​for service, which is why I lowered my score.

I came here on a weekday. A bit of wait. They have coffee with lovely latte art. I have ordered a French toast, it’s just soso.

Went here for the first time and had a decent brunch. Sat on a wooden chair (which wasn’t the most comfortable) but had the soft boiled eggs and soldiers - which was lovely, my friend had poached eggs and avocado with sourdough toast. Bill was £30 for both with two coffees.

What a cozy spot! The service was top-notch, and the prices were fair. The desserts were delicious, though the coffee was a bit sour, not the best I've had. Still, I highly recommend a visit for the overall experience.

Amazing coffee and Very beautiful looking food, but my dish came at room temperature which is less than ideal. The staff were very nice but also impossible to flag down (it took forever to get anyone’s attention), and they brought my and my partner’s dish 10 minutes apart. Note that i did start eating before him and it was already at room temperature.

Went here for a weekend brunch with two friends recently. Although the food was quite nice (amazing protein shakes!), the cafe is ridiculously cramped. The owner should really think about starting to take reservations instead of only walk ins: the 20 minute wait was fine, but the tightness of the tables and lack of space was really uncomfortable. We were given a table for two people for a party of three for brunch. When we moved halfway through the meal to a corner table that had slightly more space (after checking with a waitress), the manager/owner confronted us about this and suggested we were lying that we had asked permission to move. Not a great way to treat customers. I would likely choose a different cafe in the future in Hampstead village because of this first experience. A shout-out though to our waitress Amy who was lovely, professional and friendly in a very cramped space where I imagine it’s hard to move around whilst holding hot beverages!

Cracking place in Hampstead. We had the Scrambled eggs and bacon on sourdough toast for breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. Their bakery a few yards away had some beautiful looking things in the window too!

latte is nice but the cinnamon pastry is a little lacking in crispness. the apple cake pastry is good though!

Great brunch and lovely coffee, but a bit busy on weekends

We were also served water in the same rusty jug. Seems the rustic look was taken too literally The server didn’t seem to really care that the water jug was rusty. Also the enamel water bowl for the doggies was rusty too.

I had a very disappointing experience at this cafe. First of all, all of the staffs are very unkind and rude. One of the staff just looked at me and laughed. I have no idea why did she laugh. In addition, they give me a water bottle which was rust. Inside the water bottle I could see rust marks. I looked around, only my water bottle was dirty, probably because I am asian. So I didn't drink water. I felt like I was being racially discriminated against, so I ate my food quickly and left. It's a pity that I had a bad experience at a place I went to with high expectations.

We had high expectations for our visit to Ginger & White, driven by the positive buzz surrounding the cafe and recommendations from friends. However, our experience on Sunday morning left us underwhelmed and questioning the acclaim. Our journey to the cafe was fraught with challenges, thanks to disruptions on the tube. Despite these hurdles, we arrived eager to enjoy our meal. Unfortunately, our first impression was marred by the unwelcoming attitude of the staff. Understandably, they seemed overwhelmed, but their rudeness and apparent bad mood were off-putting. Once seated (following a long wait) there was a lenghty delay as we waited for service. When we finally managed to place our order, the anticipation was met with disappointment following the arrival of our food. The much-touted poached eggs turned out to be bland and devoid of the expected flavor. Even in my hunger, I couldn't bring myself to finish them. The bacon, seemingly shredded into indiscernible pieces, appeared as if it had been hastily cut at the bottom of a vat. To make matters worse, the bread was burnt and hard, making it a real challenge to eat. While we understand that establishments can have off days, the overall experience left us questioning the hype surrounding this cafe. It's disheartening to think that our journey may not have been worthwhile. We struggled to comprehend what all the fuss was about, given the lackluster quality of the food and service. In an attempt to salvage our meal, we forced ourselves to consume what was edible. Regrettably, we left the cafe as soon as possible, settling the bill amidst the rain. It's a massive shame that our much-anticipated visit to Ginger & White turned out to be such a letdown.

Staff very rude. Asked how long for a table outside and worker was in a terrible mood with awful attitude. wouldn’t spent my money there go elsewhere.

We've lived in the area for a year and a half and finally just visited. Great shakes and sandwiches. Will be back again and can't wait to try their coffee!

Great place to have a simple but delicious food or drinks! Smoothies are definitely my favourite on the menu. Blankets if you need one & heaters! Easy access. Very friendly staff and fantastic atmosphere.

Was wandering around Hampstead with a friend and dropped by Ginger & White for impromptu coffee and cake. The venue itself benefits from offering privacy and personal space (being on a side road) with a pleasant public passing by (just off the high street). Ordered iced coffee and chocolate drinks which tasted great and were very refreshing. The menu offers a great selection of interesting hot and cold made to order breakfast and brunch options you would expect from an upmarket style cafe as well as lots of add ons such as cakes, pastries and bagels too. The toasted chocolate chip banana bread was delicious and has a distinctive in house / homemade taste. The price point is medium-higher end however worth paying for bearing in mind the location and because food and drinks were of a high standard. As the weather was good it was worth a 10 minute wait for an outdoor table. One slight let down was that the service between staff seemed a little un-coordinated because we had to remind one to bring the food (drinks came fine) but it was a very busy weekend so could be excused. I would like to visit again to explore much more of the varied and thoughtful menu. I would highly recommend this as a venue for those who appreciate high-quality food options with a more unique and distinctive taste.

The food is amazing, coffee is great which is rare in London BUT attitude of those who work here (especially hostesses) is rude and disrespectful, almost like they pay us to be there not vice versa. Is it hard to give a genuine smile?

The menu said £4.9 for a cold drink, was drinking it in my table, relaxed, the waitress comes over with the card reader asking me to pay £5.6 including the service I wasn’t even consulted before, neither was I informed about the service charge in the menu. They literally stolen £0.6 because they didn’t ask if I was ok with that Or I wanted to add service. It’s a proper scam and shady staff.

Nice spot for a brunch or a coffe. Their Turkish eggs were really good as well as the dessert. I wasn’t a fan of the coffee though. Recommended!

It's a lovely place for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. The setting is great for meeting friends or just dining alone. Very cosy, very warm feeling. Pretty well staffed as i came on a weekend. It can get very busy during lunch. They have a nice outdoor seating in the case of good weather to enjoy some sun. Love both breakfast, cakes and lunch specials here. The green shake and coffee are nice too. Will be back again!

G&W is a cosy little cafe in the alleyways of hampstead, it’s usually busy so they have a smart option of G&W at the window which is just nearby to get a quick takeaway - we tried beetroot latte which was okay , maybe the hot latte would have been better than the iced one, but the power shake was really good. Nice cafe to visit if you are around.

I loved the sweetcorn fritters I ordered. Highly recommend. UPDATE: I returned to this restaurant after posting a 5 star review last time but was disappointed with the service. The server got my order wrong so I had to wait for it to be corrected. I did enjoy the grilled chicken salad once I received it.

Lovely breakfast here, especially sat outside watching passers by on a sunny day. Bacon sandwiches were generous with the bacon and the avocado toast was really fresh and tasty! Great service too; a constant effort turning tables due to the popularity of this place.

Went to try breakfast here as had heard good things. Had to wait a little while for a table which we didn't mind, its quite small inside but cosy. Was slightly disappointed with the food. I ordered eggs benedict, essentially bacon with 2 poached eggs on bread which I could've made at home for a third of the price (cost £15), the bread was unbuttered and hard so was not much fun to chew through. Coffee was nice. Service was ok. I'd go back for coffee.

Had breakfast there with a relatively large group and we were seated outside. What a wonderful little place. They serve all-day breakfast and they do it really well. I ordered the shakshuka and it was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Honestly, this place has the most tasty food in the world – I’m not exaggerating. Okay, I had one of the sandwiches (Blythburgh Bacon) and shared a porridge with my partner. She had the Shakshuka. We literally had to have a break after each bite to express how astonishing and tasty the things were. The staff is also incredibly kind and I can’t forget to tell they also have super fresh squeezed Orange juice. So please, visit this place.

Absolutely love their version of the Rueben sandwich. Full of flavour, texture contrasts and great taste combination. Few sale I tried are also good even though not as impressive. The service is friendly and officiant. Overall great neighbourhood place for a quick meal.

Outside tables. East European tür fuhrer asks which table I am sitting at. As customers order at the door, I haven’t yet sat down - there are three tables available at this point. I tell her that I don’t see numbers on tables and I don’t yet know where I will sit. The intransigence is upped and she snaps that I must give a table number. I walk away and go to a coffee shop which has frictionless and charming service.

What a gem in this beautiful alley. A must for locals and tourists. We came from Los Angeles and found this jewel walking distance from our flat and visited once a day for coffee, pastries, or nice breakfast. Highly recommended

Such basic brunch. Completely underwhelming. Would cook a better breakfast at home. Lucky Hampstead is full of tourists but for a local it is shocking, beyond basic.

The food was okay however a bit expensive. It was very difficult to get seated and the staff was very unhelpful. It's the first time in my life that I see a waitress literally fighting with clients so that they leave.

A snug little coffee house in Hampstead, just off the high street. Visited in search of breakfast-lunch food. They offer tasty, well seasoned, hearty breakfast items ranging from shakshouka to melty tuna sandwiches. They also serve one of the best cheesecakes I've experienced in London so far. 10/10, will return for cheesecake and coffee.

Very cosy and warm place. The food was amazing as well as the service. We visited on Sunday around 12pm. We didn't have to wait too long to get a table.

The food was fantastic. Really fresh and plenty of it. The 35 minute wait was not such fun. It was clear the staff favour their regulars, embarrassingly so. The music was fab we all need cheesy pop in the morning to lift us. I think to be fair it needs to take less people or get some heaters out on the street. The toilet in the kitchen is also something that just shouldn’t happen in my opinion. I don’t know if I could go back again because I did love the food but the favourite game got to me. Perhaps I should be famous!

Cute brunch place but super crowded on weekends. Brunch was priced a bit high and wasn’t really anything special. Would definitely give it another shot on a week day and see if my mind could be changed.

My favourite cafe in Hampstead ! Sometimes there is a waiting list on weekend mornings but it's usually not a long wait and it's very much worth the wait :) A must go if you are around!

Really lovely place for brunch, with delicious coffee. Great choices of eggs, cakes and service was very friendly. I have not given five stars as it was very chaotic when we were trying to get a table. I would recommend going early or not at the weekend.
