Such a lovely lunch experience! Have been wanting for some time to go for lunch and today was the day! Really nice and delicious menu options! Opted for the bacon wrapped monk fish and oh my days- cooked to perfection. So tender, juicy and delicious! Usually I am not keen on the bacon but on this one was just amazing. Complemented the monk fish so well! My colleagues enjoyed their food as well! Will have to go back for dessert anytime soon. The service was spot on & such a beautiful location too.

I used to love this place but it seems it has changed owner. They are trying to cut costs at the expense of the quality of the service. Staff did not know anything about the menu and want to sell you the most expensive things. They cut all tea biscuits and nuts which normally go with drinks. That is not what you expect from a high end place, I’m not coming back !

Booked an afternoon tea here for my mums birthday, staff were extremely attentive. As she’s a vegetarian they gave her a separate afternoon tea and gave her 4 different vegetarian sandwiches rather than just subbing 2 for the other 2 vegetarian options. The desserts were lovely and light - the cherry pavlova was stunning. We had the cocktails to go with them although I found them incredibly strong and couldn’t finish them - especially the whisky one. For the teas I’d recommend ‘mythical creatures’ it was beautiful. Overall lovely vibe and interior, they even brought out a birthday brownie and candle for her. Would definitely return as their afternoon tea menu changes often.

We went as a small party of six for lunch. The staff were really friendly and attentive though not pushy and we didn't feel rushed. The food and wine choices were good and we all enjoyed our meals. It's a little odd that soup doesn't come automatically with bread, and the main course has no salad or vegetables. However for an occasional special time with friends it was really pleasant with a seating area for drinks before going to our table. Would recommend here and visit again.

Terrible service. Served peaches that you could coukd barely cut with a knife. They literally didn't care.

Beautiful street table surrounded by plants, outside this beautiful Hotel. Greta menu with lots of choice and vegetarian options, the salad Nicoise looked amazing!

The Hostess Garisa ( hope I spelt that right ) was great, she was really on the ball with managing a busy bar. Thanks Garisa.

Lunching with a client based close by. So many restaurants in the area have closed, Oscar a safe bet. Tried to book on line, got 90% through the process then they asked for my credit card details - for a lunch booking for two at a pretty ordinary, hotel-based restaurant. Seems OTT and made me uncomfortable. So I rang them, made the reservation, no credit card details needed. Daft. Staff were brilliant, great beers, food was fantastic - pork schnitzel was superb - but a little expensive - adding chicken to the Caesar salad added £10 to the price! Added. The salad was already £20. For a Casar salad! Thus, £30 all up. Punchy.

We had a lovely visit for afternoon tea for my Mum's 60th. The atmosphere was lovely, the food delicious and the service fantastic. They even did an extra 'happy birthday' plate & brownie for her which was a nice touch.

Fantastic food in a gorgeous environment

I have been in Oscars a couple of times for drinks but last Tuesday I visited the restaurant. Our waitress was lovely with great recommendations. Everything run smoothly until a very disturbing moment. Me and my guest we did not realise what happened, all we heard and saw was a blond lady storming in the kitchen and shouting aggressively and swearing towards the staff. We felt very uncomfortable especially thinking that person could be in charge. I’m sorry but you do not treat people like that, and most importantly you must show respect to everyone; staff and guests. We won’t be coming back I’m afraid.

Wonderful late night stop: Chiare, the bar supervisor is exceedingly nice, warmly welcomed us even if late! The service is superb, great atmosphere. Definitely a must venue to visit again! Thank you Chiara fir the superlative few hours!🌟

Show up in there for a drink after a friend recommended last week. Place was gorgeous but the staff was what makes the difference. Lovely Chiara look after me. Very friendly and spot on. She suggest a drink after explained my taste, everything was very welcoming and thanks mostly for her I really felt look after, and since I work in Hospitality myself I know that in busy time sometimes is tough but overall was done a brilliant job there. Definitely Ill go back :)

Beautiful place to have dinner. The food lacks flavour though, the gnocchi could’ve used some more love. Service is a tad arrogant and doesn’t feel very welcoming.

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay in London. Very nice atmosphere and service . The food was more than pleasant and well presented. It is the main restaurant of a 5 star hotel - so everything is immaculately clean. We are happy we spend our time there !

Attended for their set festive dinner and I have mixed feelings. The service itself was amazing, we never had yo pour a glass of water or wine all night. However I was very disappointed with the food served. If you're charging £70pp for a 3 course meal you would never expect to be served half a roast dinner. The roast turkey was served with stuffing, potatoes, 2 pigs in blankets, and 2 very small carrot and parsnip pieces. The whole table waited as we were expecting some greens to go along with the roast as the plate looked brown apart from the carrots and nothing came. The turkey itself was dry and the gravy was non existent. I didn't like the starters or desserts offered so was banking on the main meal being complete. I've had nicer and cheaper Sunday roasts with the full works in most pubs/carveries. Such a shame as the location and staff are perfect but I wouldn't recommend it especially for food. We spent over £1k in a few hours and all had the same disappointment feedback about the food.

We went to this bar last night, special thanks to Chiara who treated us with a really special care, always smiling and professional. If I could recommend some of the dishes we had, it would be the croquettes, the fried chicken and the hummus. Thanks to all the staff. Great quality drinks .

Great service, great food and great atmosphere. Definitely worth a try, can get set menu deals if you book ahead of time but we just turned up. They also do Dinner a Movie show but I would just love to see a vegetarian burger on the Menu, as an option for people who cannot eat beef. Also maybe work on the Dessert options.

Vibe and location are nice, but come on, the food and drink is so spectacularly over priced and average. There are so many nice spots in the area where you'd have a nice meal.

We stay a great deal with Firmdale hotels and we’re dining for lunch Tuesday across the street at The ninth so dropped in for Drink at 12-30 . Miserable staff, poor welcome and notably half asleep the whole time we were there. Ill informed and totally disconnected from the guest, more interested in talking in their native language than engaging with the guest. Just stopped in for a glass of champagne. Badly trained bar staff who didn’t know what they served by the glass. Really had to work hard to get glass of water and nothing special offered. Go to Max Brasserie at Covent Garden to experience how it should be done . Avoid

From the moment we enter the restaurant we were greater with incredible care and wonderful customer service. The most gorgeous highlight was the chorizo starter which was offered from Violeta our main waiting team member .She was really helpful ,charming and polite. During the service a member called Scott came over to our table and asked us if we were alright with the service,that was such unexpected and warm touch. Great place with superb kitchen and magnificent service 👌.

Had a superb business lunch here this week. The team were superb so lovely and friendly , Oscars is a great place for a quick lunch (or dinner) we will be back again soon. Never disappoints.

Nice place but the service is super slow and incompetent. They didn't know about things on the menu that they had ran out of and we had to order for water 3 times and end up going inside to ask to a different waiter in order to finally get 2 glasses for a table of 3 people...

When we entered we were greeted with a lovely atmosphere and we were seated. The waiters were very kind and the menu looked amazing even though it was a little pricey. When the food arrived we were disappointed as many were missing parts of the dish and for the price it was almost too simple and small. The food was quite good but not amazing and 3 dishes came really late compared to the others and a few dishes were forgotten. The food came exactly as the menu said, for example if you ordered the avocado in toast you would get a piece of bread cut in half and with some avocado on top with no herbs no small other things. Overall the place looked lovely but the food and service were barely mediocre.

Visited for after-work dinner, staff was really helpful and accommodating. Drinks were interesting but unfortunately food was overpriced and disappointing.

Hotel bar/ restaurant at Charlotte Street Hotel. It’s a good place to stop by for a post-dinner coffee or tea. They still serve hot drinks at night, and even though you won’t be their main customer segment, they won’t kick you out.

Would very rarely ever give a 1*, but after a politely conducted discussion with the manager we were met with a weird level of anger and had the menu thrown across the bar. Never seen anything like it. The bar staff were lovely and the drinks were good but this was totally inexcusable behaviour

Lovely afternoon tea - a little more laid back than Claridge's (and slightly more tasteful decor). For anyone staying at the Charlotte Street hotel: Try to block out the library - It makes for a more private and cozy experience!

Nice ambience but our dishes (mushroom soup and pappardelle) were bland, heavily under seasoned… the other dishes from other guests (ox cheek and squash) seemed fine. Chocolate brownie/mousse was good.

Great atmosphere in a good location within London. Highly recommend popping in for their cocktails if you're having dinner in the area later. Great drinks menu. Service can be a little slow when they are busy and reservations are essential during peak times.

We've been to Oscar's twice, both times for champagne before visiting the incredible Norma restaurant opposite. On both occasions the champagne, when poured, was barely cold and not drinkable. The first time, they replaced the same bottle, but cold. The second time, they only had the rosé equivalent, which was more expensive. They then billed us for this, and it took a while to convince them we should pay the original price. A small thing, but when you're paying £80 a bottle at a bar with an extensive champagne list and they can't serve it chilled, something is wrong. Lovely toilets.

One of my favourite Bar & Restaurants in London. This place brings back nostalgic memories of breakfast with friends on the kerb side watching the world go by. It was such and absolute pleasure to drink and dine here again. Definitely worth the visit!!

They have no sense of education and courtesy, I was eating lunch one day and what they did was disrespect each other and yell. Of course I do not advise it to eat pleasantly. Also the service was super slow. When I finished, the receptionist wanted to make a comment about the restaurant and she returned an unpleasant "We can't do anything", there is no staff... Incredible. She didn't even apologize.

Parfait également pour un brunch le dimanche ou pour traîner. Même la possibilité d'assister à des avants premières de films (£25 la séance) dans une salle dédiée.

just had christmas dinner in this restaurant it was probably one of the worst meals we have ever eaten .. i should have l taken notice of the google 4,2 stars and reveiws before I booked this on open table. The bar was lovely and we had some nice cocktails. Thats the reason i have given it 2 stars ... Waiter went to sit four of us down and sat us on a round table for 8. We were all so far away form each other, i asked if we could change table so we waited an hour and then got another table." this was after I reserved a table for 4 around 3 weeks ago" When we sat down they took our order but never offered us our glass of champagne we had to ask about 4 times to get it. The appetiser's need to go in the bin they were so over cooked and hard they we're almost uneatable. Starters were so bland apart from the mushroom soup. They bought the main courses when the starter plates had.not been cleared so we were clearing the tables ourselves Then main course ... , vegetables we all so raw carrots and Brussel sprouts and parsnips were all like rocks , the roast potatoes were hollow in the middle and cold also meat was luke warm ... we asked to change the veg but this took 15 mins so by the time we got our new veg rest of the dinner was stone cold. Then the new ones came they were even harder than the first ones So basically for our main course we had cold meat to eat only. We told the manager he gave us some glasses of champagne but realy our meal was ruined. I said i'm not paying for the main course as it's was beyond a joke. So they took 200 of the bill. But overall the meal was bad and service was not great the bill was still over 500 quid. the set christmas menu was 160 each so we basically paid 110 each for a deserts and a starters for 4 people... the deserts were the best part of the meal but nothing amazing. I'm not sure what's going on in this hotel restaurant it realy needs looking at.

Really nice pre Christmas lunch. The team were all very warm, friendly and accommodating. It's a nice relaxed place to dine without being pretentious like so many London spots. Happy it's next to my office so I can visit regularly.

We came to this place with no reservation on a very crowded evening and they were able to accommodate us. Staff is very friendly and helpful, but we were not very demanding. I quite liked their negroni - so they pass the test or places to come back to.

My husband got really bad food poisoning here from the monkfish tonight. My octopus starter was rubbery and I complained about it to no avail. my duck main was good. Deserts average. Service was good. Not good value for money.

On entering we received a polite but unfriendly greeting both at the door and at the restaurant We ordered eggs royale with English breakfast tea and water. The eggs royale took a long time to arrive, it was cold and the muffin was too thick and chewy The reason why even one * was given is due to the fact loose tea was used and the ambiance is pleasant. As far as the eggs royal are concerned, most people could prepare a better dish at home

The place is very nice, but the staff is rude. When we sat at the table, the waiter came and brought us the breakfast menu. We waited for about 20 minutes, then another waiter came. We were about to order our breakfast, but then they said that they’d no longer serve breakfast and gave us the lunch menu. So we decided to leave. Though we understand that it was close to lunch time, there was no need to be so strict.

The decor is fun, the staff were a mix of great and awkward. The Afternoon tea was nice but there was only a choice of 2 teas. The salmon quiche was made with sweet pastry which tasted odd and the lemon slice had a strange taste to it but the other cakes were nice! Probably wouldn't come back for the cream tea but it was a nice experience.

I booked this restaurant based on my previous experiences of afternoon tea at Ham Yard and the Soho Hotel, however it was not a patch on previous experiences at hotels in same group. It was for a 60th Birthday which they had been advised of. I asked for a nice table. On arrival they had put us right by the walkway to the kitchen. They moved us after I complained. The afternoon tea items were nice enough but I had to chase them to serve us tea, which they then never refilled. They offered us water but never advised us would be a chargeable item and tbh it tasted like it came straight from the tap. They never asked whose Birthday we were celebrating or did anything special. The service was distinctly average, then they hit us with a £31 service charge. We queried it as quite frankly the whole experience did not warrant the high service charge. They then took it off and we left what we felt was warranted. This Afternoon Tea experience fell well short of other Firmdale hotels and no we would not return.

Went for mother's day brunch. Service was great, atmosphere and setting lovely. Only small complaint was that all the pastries / croissants were very much on the stale side - certainly not freshly-baked that morning which is what you'd expect from a high quality hotel, right? Anyway, we still had a lovely brunch. I only point out the flaws in the hope that they'll be addressed for the next diners.

Popped in for a quick post lunch meeting but none of the winter warmer drinks displayed on the menu were available, much to my guests dismay. Love this place usually but it felt a little disorganised this time.

Had a pretty awful over-salted lunch here and it left a poor aftertaste in my mouth for the rest of the day.

I went for brunch this weekend and I was not impressed. A basic cooked breakfast cost about £20 - it was very average, definitely not worth the money. I also ordered a hot chocolate. They tried twice but both times it was brought out cold. The staff were really nice and helpful, hence I did pay for the breakfast but asked for the drink to be taken off the bill. I really hope I got them on a bad day as the place itself had a chilled, fun atmosphere.

Popped in on a busy-ish Friday evening to meet three friends before going on to eat elsewhere in Charlotte St. Wine list is expansive/expensive with the cheapest bottle of red starting at £37 being the Grenache/Syrah, GR10, 4 Monos Viticultores, Madrid, Spain. A decent wine but poorly served. Waiter presented bottle correctly but then proceeded to just pour away into all four glasses with no opportunity to taste the wine for any off flavours from a potentially corked bottle. Wine was acceptable so ordered another bottle when first bottle was finished. Waiter then just poured away again into existing wine glasses with previous wine in. No separate glass offered up to taste second bottle. Very weirdly the waiter then poured my glass to the brim. For a fancy rather plush hotel the wine service training needs looking at as the experience was off putting to say the least.

A perfect seasonal afternoon tea. Staff were excellent and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. A genuine 5 star experience. Thank you.

For transparency I only went in as I was picking up my wife from her xmas do. However as it was running late (not the bars fault) I was invited to join the end of the party. As I was driving I asked for a cup of tea. I received a large pot of breakfast tea, china cup and a tea strainer! Brilliant!! I'd forgotten how good and calming the ritual of pouring a drinking a great "cuppa" is. Oh and the bar is lovely, very attentive staff, great atmosphere.

Went in for a business lunch. The service was very good as was the food. The prices were higher than I would normally expect to see - just as well I was not paying. I had the chicken blanquette, which I can recommend.
