Great Queen Street in Camden

I had an especially excellent experience here! My first time trying Itsu, and I didn’t know how it worked or what to order. Raazi went above and beyond by helping me to customise my order to my needs! I didn’t know how the self service worked and also had dietary preferences with which he assisted me with no hesitation! Great service thank you :)

came in at 8pm on 29th august, bought my dinner and went to sit down. was told by a man sweeping the floor that i wasn’t allowed to sit. i said i had specifically bought food and paid the higher price to eat in so that i could use the charging facilities and have a place to sit. the manager came over and said that i couldn’t sit there because they were closing, which they weren’t for an hour. moreover there was already another group sitting, who had obviously finished their food a while ago and the manager seemed in no hurry to usher them along. the cleaner then proceeded to sweep and mop around me and the other guests which is fine he’s going his job but i know that in previous establishments that i have worked in, we don’t start cleaning and closing the store until the store is actually closed. might be good to review this way of operating an establishment. also maybe teach your employees a bit of kindness to allow customers to enter and sit in their establishment during opening hours. blond woman working there was not a nice person. food was fine, lacking in salmon in the poke bowl but what’s new in this economy.

Always surprised by the quality of the food for this price. It’s not Michelin star but the price is neither.

Good to eat at a reasonable price!

We found this restaurant by chance, having decided to eat before visiting the theater, and it pleasantly surprised us with a beautiful design and unusual menu. I especially like mango 🥭 dessert. Tasty and healthy food 👍🤗

Healthy speedy food option when busy. Easy to digest and good selection and service speed. Reasonable London prices around £8 a dish etc

Food was disgusting. I had the teriyaki chicken dish and there was virtually no sauce on it. I'm pretty sure the chicken was unseasoned besides sesame seeds. The rice was overcooked and plastic-like. Everything tasted at least a day old. And they had those weird wood forks that leave splinters on your lips. WiFi was barely functional.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at itsu in London, and it was an exceptional experience. The atmosphere was inviting, and the food was fresh and delicious. However, what truly made my visit outstanding was the excellent service provided by Yosefa. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional, making sure every aspect of my meal was perfect. Yosefa’s warm and welcoming demeanor added a personal touch that made my dining experience unforgettable. I highly recommend this itsu location, and I will certainly be returning. Very disappointing. The food didn't seem fresh, the rice was like plastic, and the salmon was dry and stinky. The quality has really gone downhill.

Perfect experience. The food is fresh and tasty. The meals are delicious. The staff is friendly and professional. It's inexpensive, fresh and good. I'll definitely come back.

Thieves entered the establishment and tried to steal my phone while I was eating with friends. One of our group was struck by a thief who was angry after failing to steal anything. We received no help from staff, and after speaking to them my group was told that our security was our responsibility. The staff did not seem to care at all. I expect staff to report incidents like this to the police and take more care of their customers. The food was okay.

What can you say, a typical fast food restaurant with Asian fusion cuisine. Thai something, bowl something, gyoza, all garnished with more than plenty of soybeans, and of course the classic: sushi. Almost everyone will probably find something to fill them up here. But itsu isn't anything special or new.

Good place to make a quick stop to eat in the area. The food was delicious and at an affordable price for what they serve and compared to London prices.

Just left this place before closing and got half price sets 😁 the staff was exceptionally friendly, especially the guy meeting customers!

Very disappointing meal. Food bore no resemblance to the description on the menu and tasted like no other katsu curry I’d ever had, actually taste like a green curry. It would appear Itsu has gone the way of other restaurants, great when they open, but then try to make as much money as possible, from as little effort as possible. Staff were friendly and helpful though.

Stort of like Japanese style fast food restaurant with a modern interior and good food served "over the counter". We were helped by Orsa (I believe shop manager) and she really took the time to introduce us to the food and what to select, top service.

Staff were getting ready to close, and they've already started cleaning the restaurant. I've sat down towards the entrance to be out of their way. Food was not hot, they forgot to give us parts of it, had to remind them. Nevertheless, we started eating our dinner, when one of the staff members "kindly" announced us that we've got 8 min to finish our food, as they will close the restaurant, so we had to gobble our food like trolls.. The staff could have politely announced that if we wanted to eat in, we only had a few minutes left until closing time, before we ordered.. We would have considered not eating there.

The worst chicken katsu. Initially it looked like soup . In photo vs in real , just opposite. Selling boiled chicken in the name of chicken katsu.

First time I've been here and it was surprisingly nice. Service was quick and the food was hot and tasty. It was also very clean and the staff are friendly.

They are unable to keep the computers up to date with what is available. This was not communicated in any way. I only discovered this when there was no order no in my receipt. On talking to your member of staff I was then informed nothing was available. Shocking management of “stock levels”. I feel sorry for your staff who have to resolve issues caused by your desire to poorly automate things. Terrible experience

I like that you order from a touchscreen station and the ambiance makes you feel as if you’re in a Japanese restaurant with not much people working in it. However the food is just terrible and bland. I couldn’t eat my food nor could my family because it just tasted so terrible. I ordered the detox soup well I know why it’s called detox….Or maybe it is delicious and I just don’t like Japanese food.

Itsu seems to have evolved into a much more plant based, flavourless product.

I placed a review over a month ago on this site..Tripadvisor keep emailling me requesting a further review, so here it is, although I'm a bit bemused by a review alongside my last 'Ted M' which says a 'fond godbye'..either he or I are confused! My review as detailed previously, is for Parkers, slightly off the main Gt. Queen St. We went there again after a meeting, as the Member, suffering now from advanced MNDA, needs wheelchair access, which our ususal venue doesn't have. Again, a very good meal..Pate, with french bread and salad starter.. a great turkey loin in a mushroom sauce and fresh carrots and cauliflower, followed by ice cream or a lemon tart. Great private bar at the entrance, the plasce would seat for dinner at least 50 and I would highly reccomend for Masonic Festive Board..nice efficient staff and a good selection of the hard stuff at the bar.

The staff was friendly and supportive, amd explained to me what to do, but they way you enter, order and pay at the machines like in McDonald's and pick your things it's weird and very cold. The stickers that alert you that thief are around is not helping

Pretty low quality sushi...I was surprised how bad the rice was.... itsu used to be very very good, but that's not the impression I had today.

Sushi is not fresh, but not expensive either

I don't know why I ever go into an Itsu. It's great if you like to pay high prices for bland food. There are similar alternatives nearby which have a bit more flavour. Perhaps Coco Di Mama if you are looking for a waterbased carb meal in a pot. The choices at Itsu don't have very much substance. This particular Itsu has a cluttered design to the floor so you can't really have your meal without disturbance from other customers.

The thai chicken with their beer it is just so amazing!! I like it!

An excellent itsu with friendly staff and a good menu. Ideally placed on the edge of Covent Garden for all the theatres. Despite this it is usually quietish as passers by don't seem aware of it because it is on a corner. Good views of the impressive Freemasons Hall opposite from the window seats.

Sin embargo, en esta ocasión, como Past Master, que desafortunadamente ha avanzado el MND y está en silla de ruedas, utilizamos este lugar, al que no había estado en varios años. Muy contento y algo sorprendido, ya que fue absolutamente excelente; El personal es muy servicial y en la planta baja, que era un requisito en vista de lo anterior, con un gran bar cómodo. Limitado en las ofertas de grifo, pero hay muchas botellas y licores disponibles con una amigable y eficiente barman. Creo que, de memoria, también tienen un comedor en el sótano, así como el de la planta baja, pero no estoy 100% seguro. Creo que el área de comedor al lado del bar tendría capacidad para unos 50 fácilmente. . nuestro grupo en la noche solo tenía unos 20 miembros fuertes, así que teníamos mucho espacio, pero no estábamos 'perdidos' en el área. La comida que se sirve fue excelente por el costo. . entrante era paté, con pan francés; el plato principal era un escalope, con salteado de papas y muchas verduras frescas, con una salsa blanca. . dulce era una deliciosa tarta a base de crumble, seguida de café. Instalaciones habituales fuera del comedor principal, por lo que todas son adecuadas para discapacitados. Excelente lugar!

Este es un buen lugar si necesitas un sitio para comer rápido pero tranquilo, una comida que no te de sueño y puedas seguir trabajando o paseando. Los makis están muy bien hechos, los platos combinados con pollo, arroz y verduras están muy ricos, los vasos con frutas idem de idem. Cada día soy más aficionado a este tipo de autoservicios de comida rápida saludable.

I am so glad you ask. We booked a table for 4 on Saturday evening,to celebrate my sons birthday, got a confirmation from open table if of their reservation and the restaurant was CLOSED!!!!! I will not book with open table again.

As the website will tell you, Great Queen Street closed on 12 July 2019 after 12 years. So this is a farewell review. I think I've been to the place half a dozen times in recent years. I think it's unique: bustling, casual, but great food, especially meat. We had a Beef Wellington, one of their marvellous sharing dishes, between the two of us. It was absolutely great, generous portions, full of flavour. We only had the one course and a glass of wine, which came to just over £80. Pretty much par on value I'd say, certainly not expensive for the quality of food. The place was busy and a great meal right to the end. I'm certainly very sorry to see it go, I can't think where I can go for this kind of meal now.

Really nice food, got a selection of starters and mains with a friend, both of us thoroughly enjoyed it.

Except that it's closing! Landlord, increased rent etc. A great pity. It's been booked all week.

The only criticism I have with the food was the temperature of my main dish, described as “roast duck with green beans and a walnut sauce”. The duck was warm but the beans were cold. I was told it was a “bean salad” but that’s not the way it was described, so hopefully they’ll re-word it on the menu. Other than the chilly beans though the dish was delicious. I’m looking forward to coming back to try more dishes.

Great gastro pub, with some soecial dishes, like rabbit. And rhe mozarella was one of the best i ever had

Amazing restaurant with amazing staff and ENGLISH food (and adequate prices - very rare at that touristy location). Too bad it's closing soon. Thankfully, I was able to introduce it to my family and friends beforehand. I hope the owner decides to reopen it somewhere close to the original, with same overall quality.

I was thrilled to discover that this sister to Anchor and Hope on The Cut was so near my London home. Absolutely everything is delicious. The service, stellar, relaxed and friendly. The wine, amazing and affordable. I now learn they are to close in a week due to rising rent. A tragedy. Absolutely wonderful from top to bottom. Great good luck to all and thank you.

Excellent British food. Can thoroughly recommend any of the pies, the Wellington and the lamb shoulder. Varied wine list. Buzzy atmosphere on a Thursday evening. Just as good as it’s sister-restaurant south of the river (the Canton Arms)!

On cherchait un endroit où dîner pas cher mais avec un menu original et qui ne soit pas encore un bis repetita de steak frite anglais et on a pas été déçu. Plat fait à la demande, et belle carte. Possibilité d’avoir des plats à partager en plus très généreux. Un peu bruyant qui fait partie de l’ambiance du lieu si vous venez avec des enfants.

Loved food, service and ambience. A good food appreciators restaurant without prevention. I will return often!
