Great experience! The food is really tasty, the atmosphere is cozy and all the staff friendly and welcoming - perfect for a Sunday brunch with friends! Recommended!

[Edited] Went back to Lantana today but was quite disappointed with 2 things: 1) We had food and ordered a second coffee, as soon as the coffee arrived we were told we had 5 mns before the next table had to be sat (we had only been sitting there for 1h05mns) - we should have been given more time and warned before ordering the coffee which we then had to take away 2) The avo toast taste and quality had gone back significantly but is pricier than it was [Initial Review] Amazing food (best avo toast) and greaaat service 💕

Staff was kind BUT Service was so slow…food order was wrong…items from the menu were missing…final bill was also wrong (bunch of extras charged we did not order) and a 14% service charge added to the bill as a final surprise.

Coffee and cake were amazing! The staff were lovely and the vibe was great.

They have a system to pay on your phone which would be great cos who likes having to flag a server to pay at the end… however they added on a fee to do this?! And a service charge of 14% which you could only remove by asking a member of staff. Also they added on a charity donation without consent. And they charged £1 for water too?! We didn’t even receive the water. My friend was too awkward to ask to have it removed so we paid it. I guess they just want to take advantage of people who don’t want to make a fuss, which I’d imagine is a significant proportion of the British public. Anyway, the coffee was nice and the cake was fine, a bit dry though and I was given the end piece. My friend liked the vegan chocolate cake. The whole place is a bit cramped so I wouldn’t recommend eating in. The seats weren’t particular spacious or comfortable.

Big zero, food doesn’t smell good, I tool smashed avocado with grilled Halloumi on the side - can’t be eaten at all! Service is terrible, server is terrible. His food is not good, he never eats it. Praise be to God for the blessing - service is a complete destruction.

Average place very overpriced. The food was ok…average flavor, size, ingredients Same for the ambient, it’s ok but nothing special to highlight. For us something to complaint is all the extra services that comes with the receipt: - You have to scan a QR code to pay and it cost you 1 pound (?) - There’s an amount dedicated to a non profit charity (1,4 pounds) - 14% for tip…which is “optional” but comes already in the total and you need to ask the waiter to take it out…very uncomfortable situation for us as customers even though we were going to leave tip because the service was really good and the waitress was super nice Overall I don’t recommend…70 pounds for avocado toast, French toast and a regular dish. It’s too much for what you get

Lovely staff, so cordial and inviting! Food was delicious but a small portion for mushroom toast given the price. Would definitely return to try more food.

14% service charge is outrageous. The corn fritters were all in all awful - weird batter and dry - there was in total about 4 spinach leaves on my plate and a tiny amount of avocado. And the service was not the best.

Second time at Lantana and both times I left disappointed. Had the corn fritters that were clearly undercooked, tasting really bad. Not sure if batter was off or wrong or whatever. Spoken with the waitress and she acknowledged the issue. Pretty bad that the kitchen sent it like that.

The food was delicious but our overall experience was poor. The server was very stressed because someone had called in sick and another person had walked out. He voiced this to every customer that came in and kept apologising to us, it ruined the atmosphere and our overall experience. A 14% service charge took us by suprise, I would of happily tipped 10% but automatically adding 14% was cheeky. To get it taken off you had to ask the server, who was so stressed at this point we just left it. Personally I wouldn't come back.

Was not served. Was told at the door there was no space and I asked if I can wait she said no which was very rude? It wasn’t busy and there was no one else waiting to be seated and there was clearly empty tables available

I had high hopes for this place but really wasn’t very impressed. Food super overpriced for the quality. Service underwhelming. They also make you pay online via a qr code which then charges you extra for using the online payment? Overall ended up being an unusually expensive brunch despite the quality being meh. There are lots of other better brunch spots nearby.

Really tasty food. It took time to arrive but that’s because it’s cooked freshly for us. The staff was very professional and accommodating. Truly nice people. The atmosphere is cosy so when it’s busy, it can be quite loud. I had my book ready but instead I ended up on my phone as I couldn’t focus much. Remember that if you’re searching for a peaceful place - maybe not at lunch 😊 They offer WiFi and most amazingly they have a donation system where you donate £1 for each bottle of tap water that you request. Such a great way to make a little difference here and there. The chorizo flatbread is enough for one person if you don’t have a main. I did have a pudding and a super tasty mocha ! All lovely.

Really lovely little cafe. We went there for Sunday brunch. Service was prompt and friendly. We had the beef brisket hash and it was delicious. There were other tasty looking items on the menu so we will definitely be back to try those out.

Unfortunately you can’t rely on the booking system here. When you book, it’s not a booking, it’s a request. And if you then don’t hear anything, it means they are fully booked (they don’t send an email to say that they are fully booked). Definitely need a system which is customer focused and shows what’s actually available.

Delicious food and amazing service!

My wife and I enjoyed a healthy and delicious lunch in their outdoor seating area. Our server Micala was delightful! Great option for lunch a quick cab ride from the British Museum.

Very long wait time to get served. Super weird food menu for breakfast. Got charged an extra £2 to switch from a fried egg to scrambled eggs. Avocados had black stuff in them. A black coffee turned up 15 mins after the food. Would never come back here again.

Super friendly and nice staff. The food is amazing! So indulging! Exactly what we expected from authentic and creative Aussie brunch! Highly recommended! Especially if you come on a sunny day and sit outside…very nice vibe! We loved the fried chicken french toast and the corn fritters. SO GOOD. Best halloumi I’ve had! Coffee is on point too! Don’t miss out on the freshly made herbal tea! I’m still thinking about the honey, lemon and ginger (fresh) tea…

You must go to breakfast with a reservation. Otherwise you may have to wait. But even if there is an empty table, you cannot sit even if someone does not come for about 1 hour. Breakfasts were delicious.

Exceptional flat white, for me the perfect mix of coffee and oat milk. Really good smashed avo and excellent orange juice. Absolutely worth a visit, interesting location as well.

The service was amazing but we were surprised to have a 14% tip auto added and then asked if we wanted to add a further tip onto the bill, plus a charge for using the online payment method which you have no choice but to use. My sisters also didn’t enjoy her halloumi and avo on toast as the halloumi was soggy and uncooked. The rest of the food was good though and the service was great, just a shame about the extra charges

This was the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Rice was super sticky in big clumps, spring roll had grease dripping off of it, chicken balls were soggy and didn't taste right and the ribs came in deep fried crumbs. Won't eat there ever again, definitely disappointed.

What a fantastic lunch spot. Amazing coffees, very tasty food and the friendliest service. Would highly recommend and I will return whenever I'm in London. Also highly recommend the nasi goreng, one of the best I've ever had.

Not having visited lantana in a long time I was very pleasantly surprised to come back and feel how delicious the breakfast is, it seems to have improved. The service was also outstanding and I highly recommend trying the vegan dish with avocado, was very tasty ! Filter coffee was also great, will be back!

The ambience is so cute here, with wonderful staff!!!! The food was unbelievable, the brisket hash was so good, as well as the pork adobo! The service is very attentive and quick! I love this place and will be making a fast return! The area is nice and quiet with outside seating for when it’s sunny, just absolutely heavenly.

Just had breakfast and it was really good. The people who work there are so nice - truly made it a good morning. She was attentive and authentically nice. The place is cute and adorable. I had the dish called Full Lantana. It was a lot of food - my fault for being greedy-hungry:) the sausage was amazing and the grilled tomatoes were so sweet. Def a must try

Hey I don’t write much review but I have to ensure that you know you have amazing staffs!! I visited Lantana around noon of March 29, 2024–and there were two female staffs serving the customers with such warmth. Particularly the petite lady, I’m sorry I forgot to ask your name but you’re amazing. You welcome all customers so warmly and engaging. I wish you well!! Also, the food is delicious and the place so cute, clean & tidy. Will definitely come back!

The place is nice and the food was tasty for most of us. Someone at our table had the veggie Turkish eggs and they were quite bland and too little yoghurt but alright. The servers were very nice but unfortunately a bit too busy.

If you like overpriced so called trendy dishes that have pointless seeds and bits of green chucked onto them, coupled with uncomfortable seats and wobbly tables then this is your ideal cafe. If you want a good quality hearty brunch at a reasonable price point, in a comfortable environment, that doesn’t make you feel like you have been fleeced then this is not the place for you. Unfortunately even the coffee isn’t great. The staff were perfectly friendly although the coffee arrived after the breakfast and after being reminded about. Shame

Dined in solo a few weeks ago on a Friday lunch time where it was getting fairly busy and was made to feel totally welcomed and at ease by the female member of staff in particular (thank you!). Found the corn fritters with bacon lovely and arrived quickly.

Not amazing for the price & the cocktails were really watered down. Nice place, but was expecting a higher quality of food. Also 14% service charge is not ok (realised only later as we were a big group, otherwise would have said no)

I used to come to this restaurant, the french toast with hazelnut was not tasty & smaller than the previous menus & the old menus was better And i was surprised with the receipt ( they add service fees and donation without asking or notifying me !! )

An old love reunited. Haven’t been to Lantana in a long time (it’s not them, it’s me) so I’ve decided to come back and what a right decision that was. From the usual friendly service to the amazing food. One disappointment though. They used to have a banana bread that I loved . They don’t anymore. Instead, they have the banofee banana bread which was DELICIOUS… rip the old banana bread and long live the new banana bread .

Unfortunately, there was no French Toast that day, but overall experience and food were so good and delicious.

Lovely little gem in fitzrovia. The French toast with poached pears is to die for. Great coffee too. Was surprised at 14‰ service charge, but enjoyed our meal none the less.

The food was okay and the staff was nice but we found the 14% service charge a bit steep for the experience.

Used to love this place but this time the service was so slow - food took over 40 mins to arrive! No explanation or apology was offered. Food was super average - for example bacon barely edible (you couldn't cut it) and the corn fritters were cold and appeared to have been pre-cooked, not fresh. After all that wait it was a real disappointment. We won't be back. Bummer as we used to really look forward to this place.

OMG.... Book in advance if you can. We had an amazing breakfast here, I went for the pork belly benedict which was great but my partner lucked out BIG time with the BBQ Beef brisket hash. Ridiculously good. Coffee was amazing too and very friendly and quick service. Both helped perk us up after a later night than we should really have had at our age.... Highly recommend!
