The Gas Station in Camden

If around the Coal's Drop Yard area, do not miss this gem across the canal. The staff is young and always considerate towards the guests and there are truffle fries and cozy with a twist of non alcoholic Proseco and White wine, but not limited to it. PS: it offers a great evening view towards Central Saint Martin and the canal due its outside terrace.

It's fairly good food, nice beer selection. Great garden area. Service sometimes need to look for to be served. Quite ok.

After leaving a bad review due to the terrible cocktails they made, I was told “I hope the steady flow of teqauila made up for it” what the tequila that I paid for? Yes! It’s not like it was given for free. This place really needs to teach their staff how to make cocktails or take it off the menu

Not really worth a visit food just ok no atmosphere. Also beware they want your card details they say because of your booking, don’t know why place was empty.

Probably my top pick for a post-work drink in the area, it’s great in the summer and still pretty good in the winter!

A great fun place! The Gas Station next to Regent Canal is a very modern circular building with an expansive bar downstairs along with a smaller bar upstairs and a massive dining area on the first floor too. Jungle wallpaper looks great and is fun. Lovely friendly service offering a range of keg beers. Not one for the real ale drinkers as no cask beers on offer. Great balconies for when the weather is fine (not today!). An enjoyable visit.

So... many years ago, I used to fill up here. No, really! This was my local petrol station. Funny, then, to be forced to grab a pint here whilst waiting to go somewhere else. It's a good venue, with the most fantastic outside space by the canal. You could spend hours just sitting, chatting... The bar has a decent selection of drinks, and the staff ok. The toilets decent. Best bit, though, by far is the outside.

The place is a great location for summer drinks, and the drinks were actually nice, and so the people serving us. Only issue I've had was with the vegan burger, dry patty and stale bread. Other than that, would definitely go back for drinks!

Dimly lit bar with a large terrace and a few crafties on tap too. Decent enough for a drink, but didn't try the food.

Only went here for drinks so can't comment on the food. Good selection of beer on tap. It was very busy and noisy on this particular Wednesday (although apparently it's busy most nights). Although there were no free tables inside, there was lots of seating available outside. The main issue really was the service. There were long waits at the bar to be served.

Food was good, bean burger a bit dry but chips were awesome. Fantastic service though

Was here for a big work dinner and we were very well looked after. Most of the food was delicious, especially the veggie nduja arancini which I will definitely be returning for. The black bean burger was a bit dry tbh, but the chips were good and the charred pineapple I had for dessert was a stunner. Everybody else in the group seemed to enjoy the food also. They have a good wine list, and the Grüner Veltliner was a ten. We also somehow managed to order 27 margaritas between us so kudos to the team who must have been mixing these non stop all night.

Nice bar by St Pancras Station...friendly service and nice cocktails. Location is nice and outside sitting area is quite big.

A very nice bar, sat beside the canal, with nice deco, and a big outdoor area.

Spur of the moment drop in. Sat inside in the air con to avoid the humid heat outside and it was an oasis of calm, superb service and great food. Loved it. I had the chicken burger which was scrumptious. Extra special thanks to bar person. They really looked after me. Great chat!

Such a great place to chill, eat and drink. As it is on the canal, feels like you are on a boat. Seems like a very popular place in Kings Cross. Could possible open another branch in Canary Wharf?? Would definitely recommend this place.

Nice cocktails and generally good selection of drinks. We tried snack and small plates, tasty and creative. Indoor the music a bit too loud but outdoor seating area facing the canal is really pleasant.

We couldn't get a table outside, but staff were great, food was good, had a lovely evening.

We were rather disappointed with the drinks and snacks we ordered especially giving the high price tag implying the quality should at least be average. I ordered vegetable root chips and received potato crisps, the pork scratchings tasted of fish and were completely stale and inedible, the Bloody Mary was the one of the worse I’ve ever had. The waiting staff seemed confused and a bit shy when approaching tables and delivering our orders to other tables? A lot of the non alcoholic options were unavailable and the non alcoholic gin and tonic was tasteless unfortunately. Again, quality and attention to detail was very poor.

I found the service to be inattentive and unfriendly. Unsuccessfully tried to get the attention of the server for several minutes to ask for a food menu. They were taking orders from - and checking up on - everyone except for us.

My little ones really do love this place so I ought to take them for a birthday treat. The staff were wishy washy. But the experience as a whole was very enjoyable indeed

What a joke of a place, we spent £400/500 here on drinks only. The Long Island ice tea is 75% Coca Cola with a dash of alcohol rather than the other way around. What a scam!

Was at a wedding there . The venue and team were excellent to work with !. I had one of the best chicken burgers and hot crispy chips I've had in a long time in London. Good food, great service, vairy hipster location what ever that means. Will go there Agen

Despite booking the venue about 6 weeks in advance (and again double checking that what we had agreed then was still relevant just a week beforehand), when I arrived on the day, none of the previous discussions and agreement with regards to areas and music, drinks etc were known to the management team. Regardless, we managed to get some drinks and food organised for the group of 40ish people who arrived throughout the afternoon and evening. Everyone was enjoying the evening until we were told we had to vacate the upstairs floor (at 10.15pm!!!) because they couldn’t staff the upstairs bar. This is despite half of the guests had already left the event and everyone was incredibly well behaved. Word of warning: do not hire this place for a private do if you plan to be entertaining until later 10pm.

Overpriced and with an incredibly long delay in receiving our drinks when the place was practically empty and those that were there nursed the over priced drinks in front of them. Pork scratchings served in a pot, ridiculous!

A nice bar/restaurant. Staff were all attentive and food/drinks arrived pretty quick only. The buttermilk chicken burger was nice but a little oily. Lots of drinks choices, including non-alcoholic alternatives. There were outdoor heaters too if we needed them, and they had shelter for the rain!

Absolutely fantastic evening!!!! Our server Michelle was amazing (I hope I have the correct spelling) and the food/ cocktails were fabulous (I would definitely specify what spirit you want in your cocktail)

This place was terrible the manager is awful. I told them about my allergies (GLUTENAND DAIRY) and they still gave me. Spoke to the manager and she refuse to do anything about it.

Besides atmosphere, it’s a complete waste of money. The food was street food but expensive. Service was below average and it was filthy. The toilets as well as chairs were dirty. Done and dusted but never again.

This place was terrible I waited 30min to be served and when I did the food came out it was wrong. The waiter that bought my drink over spilt it. They called the manager over and she told me just to write a review this is the worse place to got to and the manager is the worse

We hosted 100+ guests at the round bar private room upstairs for our engagement party. The food, atmosphere and service were all 10/10. The staff went above and beyond to make sure the night ran smoothly and were on hand in the weeks leading up to the event to advise on quantities timings etc. Definitely recommend for a private function! Thanks to the whole team :)

Only reason for 4 not 5 is that every time I go the bill is wrong. Please double check, paid for a bunch of full pints instead of halves last time I was there.

So nosey you can't really hear people around you, food platters are a bit mediocre and drinks quite pricey for location.

Tried to order at the bar as was cheaper than table (as they charged a service charge) but Told to order outside as it was “safe for the staff” - strange. Ordered outside and asked for service charge to be taken off and told the tablet couldn’t do it. Eventually they found a way to take it off but was met with blunt service after that. It’s a shame they made it so hard to order without paying a “discretionary “ service charge . Food was nice, beers standard.

They have odd rules about not letting tourists in with shopping bags, especially if the bags are from stores that may also sell alcohol. Not very friendly in the way they share these rules at the gate either.

The food was great and the staff was friendly. We went on a Friday evening without booking and we managed to find a table inside. If you want to stay outside, i suggest you book a table and specify that when booking. The atmosphere is nice

Music inside was a bit loud, so the art of conversation was limited. However, the food was good and price very fair. Service was good and waiter was friendly, didn't catch his name but was wearing a pink new era cap

Just had dinner here for a friend's party and that's was all messed up to start with. Had no table service, we had to always find someone to get everything and when the food did come out, a few peoples meals didnt get what they ordered. Had a nice view of the river when we final got the table situation sorted but unfortunately, I won't be recommending.

Had the strangest experience at gas station on Sunday night. (Bank Holiday weekend). Walked in at 10.50 with 5 other people. A lady behind the bar approached me and asked what I wanted. I then ordered two whisky sours.. she started making them.. half way though the girls in my party/round made up there mind and ordered two gin and tonics (can't remember the last two). She said. I am not making anymore!!! I said it's the same round.. I cant drink them on my own. She was so rude and said. Not discussing it. Wont change and not making any more as its 11. But the round was started. Anyway she said no. So I told her I can't take the whisky sours as that's not how a round works. She was so rude and just plain odd... wont be going back in a hurry. Shame

Found it really difficult to get served. Downstairs bar, I’m Anglo-Indian if that helps paint a picture, the ones that “jumped the queue” were not. Gender not a factor.

Canalside bar and restaurant a five minute walk from Kings Cross station that's popular with the after-work crowd. Loads of outdoor seating, including seats with heaters when it's cold and some in the shade when it's warm. If you are a larger group it's good to either make a reservation or get there before 5.30pm.

Just was exploring the area and stopped at the Gas Station on way back to the hotel. If I lived near here this would be my favourite place to sit out and chill with friends. Varied menu and good selection of drinks to suit most tastes. So far the best beer garden I ever seen in my 63 years. Lots of tables and chairs with greenery around with the canal running by. A very well designed place .

What a glorious view out towards the canal. If you haven't been, I'd highly suggest going. The only reason that this is a 4 rather than a 5 is because of the price.

Really nice public house. Good food and good selection of beers and spirits. Reasonably priced for the area. Table service in the beer garden, where you would not know you are in the middle of Kings Cross.

Excellent bar in Kings X with a great menu from which we were able to share multiple dishes.

Went there last Saturday for a surprise birthday, couldn't fault the place I was in the upstairs bar / function room. The place has a very nice bar downstairs that was open to the public and packed out then I went upstairs to another bar that had a private party and that was very busy. I ventured through another door where the party was and there was a nice semi circular bar with very knowledgeable staff along with a brilliant selection of lagers and spirits, which I took full advantage of as the party was a free bar. From what I understand the gas station has only been in the area for less than a couple of years may long it continue to be here for the next twenty years,. Will definitely be going again very soon, check it out when leaving kings cross station, only up the road..

Sat outside in the covered heated area. Service was swift considering how busy they were.

A drink and a meal by the canel here is relaxing and a great escape from the busy city.

We had a company happy hour (and my leaving do!) at the Gas Station last night. This place is brilliant. Service was first class, super flexible and helpful catering for a group of 40 with random drink and food demands! Great space with indoor and outdoors. Good value too which is not the norm with some 'rip-off places around Kings Cross.We will be back many times I suspect. Thank you. Tim and the ON24 team.

Pleasant enough but somehow lacking in personality. Maybe I'm put off too much by the price of a bottle of Munich's delicious Augustiner being almost £6 when it's €3.50 in the equivalent setting over there.

Nice decor and the staff communicated well before the booking and helped with birthday cakes on site. There's limited seating in doors but more outdoors on both floors with heaters. I also appreciated that they didn't try to take a booking deposit fee for a large group (20 pp). We only tried a few snacks but they were decent.

100% recommending!! Great atmosphere, great music and even better service. Came here for a few drinks which then ended up being a night out & somehow managed to ordered food! I had the cheeseburger & chips and the lobster roll. Burger portion was huge & everything tasted amazing. Lobster roll was a bit small but was still great! Only a few mins walk from Kings Cross Station!! I will be coming back!

Went here last night. Restaurant looks nice and the decor & location is great but the bar man upstairs came across as rude and had very bad people skills. He did make a good cocktail though. The lobster roll tasted no better than a prawn mayo sandwich from Tesco, just 10 times the price. Definitely wouldn’t order that again,

Great watering hole in a really unexpected place gehind kings Cross Station. Staff were brilliant. Table service. Wanted to watch the footy and staff happy to oblige moving tables/chairs. Liked it so much we called back the next night. Definitely will call in again if in London.
