Trattoria Verdi Restaurant in Camden

I recently dined at this restaurant and it was pretty good. The moment I walked in, there was a cosy ambiance, with soft lighting and lovely decorations. The background music that was played on the piano was beautiful whilst eating the food. The menu offered a solid selection of dishes. The meal I had chosen was perfectly cooked and truly reminded me of my Italian mother's cooking. However, I did have one issue during my visit. While the service was generally attentive, the waiter with the short buzz cut type hair who attended to our table had an unpleasant odor. It was a bit distracting and took away from the otherwise enjoyable experience, so much so, my partner had to go to the bathroom on multiple occasions to avoid the stench . Overall, the food and atmosphere were exceptional, and I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a great meal, just hoping they address the staff hygiene for a more complete experience.

Nice place. Server didn't seem to understand English very well. I ordered white wine, she brought red. I told her I ordered white, and she looked at me like she didn't understand. Otherwise, food was excellent, and live piano music was great.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! I ordered a classic Margherita pizza, and it exceeded my expectations. The crust was perfectly baked—crispy on the outside yet soft and airy on the inside. The tomato sauce was rich and full of flavor, and the fresh mozzarella melted beautifully, creating the perfect balance of taste and texture. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure everything was just right. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with a cozy interior that made the dining experience even more enjoyable.

Food was excellent. The host was very hospitable. Restrooms very clean. Great job!

First time eating here and it did not disappoint! Our server's name was Dharmik. The service was great. Dharmik was very friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations. Very short wait time for the food. The Spaghetti Carbonara and Pene all'Amatriciana were molto bene and so flavorful. The pasta was cooked exactly how it should be. The dessert was similar to tiramisu but with fruit - mouthwatering good! Will definitely eat here again and highly recommend it if you are looking for great Italian cuisine.

Fantastic meal - came in on a whim off the street, was welcomed by staff and Silvia very kindly and the meal was fantastic. Highly recommend the olive oil and chilli pasta. The live music was a lovely touch.

Food was at best “okay”, but the waitress serving us was very annoying and pushy. I wouldn’t come back and would not recommend

The food was okay but the portions were very very small, for the tortelloni al sugo you get only 6 pieces which was crazy for almost 18 pounds. The arrabbiata dish was 80% sauce with some pasta. It was very hard to get the attention of the waiters and they sadly weren’t overly friendly. The staff were also shouting at each other and arguing in the middle of the restaurant which made the atmosphere very uncomfortable. After all of this at the end we were asked if we wanted to tip which we normally do but didn’t this time.

Very nice atmosphere, the food was good and decently priced. Sylvia was great as well!

This place reminded me of eating at an Italian restaurant in Rome. Very cozy, with great music and comfort food.

Honest Italian restaurant but extremely expensive (more than 70 pounds for a starter, two pasta dishes, a glass of wine, a dessert)

My father and his wife visited us from the USA and we happend apon this quaint restaurant by our hotel. We had the most amazing experience here, the food was unbelievably good and the atmosphere was fantastic. The best part was the people, Sylvia especially. Obviously a family run restaurant and they do a great job! They made my dads last night with us in London very special. Definitely recommend and will return in the future

Ordered a takeaway pizza. Changed it alittle wirh some extra ham. Cost 18,25. a little exspensive. But the dough and pizza was really good. Service was good. Nice people working there

The atmosphere and food was amazing! The staff was very kind and really made sure that we were enjoying ourselves. Olivia did an excellent job attending to us! We loved the way she presented the dessert and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great overall experience! This was our last dinner before the end of our holiday and I’m so glad we chose this restaurant! Would absolutely love to come back :)

Olivia and Mehmed were very attentive and friendly servers. It was impressive how the restaurant has managed to create a local, friendly, home-ly atmosphere whilst being located in central London. Excellent food which came out quickly and tasted fresh as well as amazing garlic bread.

I came here today with my friend, his mother and my mother. I was devastated, as I was celebrating before the beginning of some exams, but I was met with some foul maltreatment from the staff. After the wrong meals had arrived, one of the staff rudely took all the food from the table before bringing it all back cold. This was not impressive, until me and my friends carbonara arrived after around 3/4 of an hour. To be frank, it made me feel sick. The sauce was not as the menu had promised, but liquidy. It is optimistic to even call it sauce at that, considering it was essentially just flavoured water. That was not the worst of it, as the pepper granules were large and ungrounded and the bacon was bordering uncooked. Despite one of the female staff being sociable and kind, the rest of the staff were ignorant and unempathetic to everyone on our table. Unfortunately, everything we had looked forward to in this outing was ruined, and I am worried for the safety of my stomach. Overall - Disgusted.

I called in to order a vegetarian pizza to take away and decided to have a small glass of red wine while I waited. Staff were welcoming. Lovely piano playing and the stone baked pizza was delicious with a soft crust. Absolutely would go back. Will eat in next time.

The service was out of this world. We had the best waiter. It was late on a weeknight and he was so attentive and wanted our experience to be too notch. The woman invited us in with kind arms and said she would serve us. And we felt so welcome. We were very grateful! Delightful tortellini and yummy mousse. Check out the trolley of desserts! Get the Montepuociano wine!! Thanks for having us.

A autentic restaurant with an Italian cozy vibe with nice live music. Food was great and the service was even better. If I would describe I would say that it felt like i was in a small italian village at a resturant that was owned by my grandmother.

It seems like a family run business, the staff Silvia is very warm and welcoming. We came around Valentine’s Day and the decorations are adorable, filled with balloons on lamps and roses on the table. And the live piano was like a cherry on top. Food was also delicious and gives a feel like an Italian home. Definitely will come back.

i went to the restaurant today and i received lovely service from olivia and roxsanna. it was lovely service.

Today was the second time I visited this restaurant. The first time, staff was lovely, atmosphere and food was great. 👍🏼 Today, I assume the boss came- a pushy, small man was shouting at the poor staff in front of everyone which changed the whole mood for worse. This was such a shame as before I it was a very homely and relaxing vibe. The live piano is a good addition.

Food was very nice although starters expensive with bruschetta at nearly £11. Equally £4.95 for a small bottle of Diet Coke is also pricey in my opinion. The main reason for my low rating was being harassed at the end of meal to leave a review. It was way over the top and the waitress would not stop asking even holding onto my receipt until I brought up Google review. A real pity as it seems a nice restaurant but I don’t expect that pressure to leave a review

Very nice discovery during our stay in London. We spent New Year's Eve there. The dishes were very good. Balloon release at midnight and digestive offered by the management. A very good time.

The restaurant doesn't make you dream either from the outside or the inside but the dishes make you dream, we had Fettucine All'Alfredo pasta and a marguerite pizza and it was simply delicious and the portions are generous, the beer is also good and the prices for London are very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you very much for this dinner!
