St Pancras Brasserie and Champagne Bar by Searcys in Camden

Fantastic place to visit, great champagne good food and excellent service with a smile

We have visited Searcys, St Pancras twice in December 2024; once for a Birthday celebration and once for a team Christmas lunch. The service in the restaurant and the Champagne bar is excellent; second to none and the GM L.Fiedoruk is a perfect host. Our greeting was warm, nothing was too much trouble and the entire team that interacted with us was attentive, giving of their best, not intrusive but friendly. At the Champagne Bar, our only comment is that the upperfloor of this station for several months of the year (inc December) is cold and drafty. The booths used to seat several people comfortably and were heated. At some point someone has redesigned this area (badly) and there are now booths that seat only 2 and are heated and several awkward, long tables with a bench seat and chairs for groups of more people ... they are not heated. There are blankets, but they don't do the trick. We were too cold to enjoy this element of the visit. (The service here was however, still of the same high, friendly standard. The main restaurant has a good vibe, was busy on both occassions, is clean, airy and bright. There is a variety of seating options allowing the staff to seat different party sizes in accordance with their occassion. There is also a comfortable coffee lounge/bar within the restaurant building which adds further to the customer options and atmosphere. The menu isn't large, but has exactly the right variety on it. It's common for restaurants to have large menus for customers to find that they aren't particulalry good at anything. Not so here at Searcys. A small menu with vegetarian, pescetarian, meat-lover options and everything is done really well, including presentation. Every course chosen was deliscious. Fish & Chips, Gin & Trout, Stunning Prawn Cocktail, French Onion Soup, Mac 'n Cheese, Hake, mince pies ... and on. Our meal was truly well done with each dish being full of flavour. The food is not expensive. To the drinks options ... a good selection. This is a point for you (the reader) to take note of and be prepared, or make another choice. The price of champagne, beer, wine is to say the least ... very high and not in keeping with the pricing of the food. The food is very good value for money, the drinks are ... very expensive and so we believe that if you decide to make a visit do so knowing that IF you choose to drink, it will increase your final bill substantially. This did not spoil our visits at all. On the first visit, it caught us by surprise but we had a great time and on our 2nd visit we were prepared. And had a great time. We didn't like the fact that the service charge was added to our bill inclusive of the very high drinks price which is perhaps the only criticism of the place we have ... it doesn't take anymore effort, time or staff to deliver a £30 bottle of wine to the table than it does a £100 bottle of wine but the service charge is lifted by GBP£9.10 for the customer to improve restaurant profits buying the more expensive wine. This isn't the fault of the staff which is why we didn't make a fuss at the time, but hopefully, a team member reading this will mention it to a Director that can then take the opportunity to devise a much fairer-to-all system. Over all, we are going back when next in London ... you should try this place if you have the opportunity, it's a hidden gem. The photos on the website reflect accurately what you will see.

Beautiful setting on the first floor of St Pancras station. Staff were very welcoming, we had a reservation and were shown immediately to a table. The menu had plenty of choice, with a European twist, also an extensive cocktail menu, the one pictured is the St Pancras, a champagne cocktail with gold (£19). my friend had fish and chips and declared it the best she ever had, my ox cheek bourginon was fabulous, the bread fresh and warm. It’s a large space but the booths and tables felt intimate, all staff were very helpful and attentive without being intrusive. the price point is on the mid to high side but I think the quality matches. oh and the bathrooms, whatever diffuser scent that is, I want it! overall a lovely couple of hours, and would definitely go back

Enjoyed a bottle of champagne as a perfect end to 4 days spent in London with my wife celebrating her 60th birthday. The service delivered by the staff in the Champagne Bar was excellent, ensuring our glasses were topped up and taking a photo for us as a memento. Not rated food as we didn't have any.

This review is for the restaurant, not the bar. We arrived for breakfast this morning and experienced the absolute worst service we’ve ever received, especially at a restaurant of this caliber. Both the Servers and managers actively avoided us, even as we saw them touch all surrounding tables. We had very minimal interaction with our actual server and when we spoke it only happened because we flagged him down. We were then charged for water we never received, an amount for a donation, and a service fee? Very odd. When we received our food, it was great. I would have loved to return to try their lunch or dinner menu since we are staying at St Pancras hotel but will definitely not come back!

Used to like this place, but sadly the service is poor, food is very disappointing, but the most annoying is a charity donation being added to the bill without my consent. Telling us that you will be adding a donation in fine print in a leaflet on the table that no one will read is not ok. Add a discretionary donation by all means, but this is unacceptable. Won’t be returning.

The heated booths beside the trains are a nice touch but it took forever to get served and then when we stood to leave they were over in 2 seconds with the card machine. It's nice for one glass but didn't stay for 2, too slow to serve too quick to pounce for you to pay.

Amazing service from George awaiting our train in a relaxed atmosphere. Although it was only an hour from closing time, George served us with a smile and made our visit enjoyable!

We went for a quick champagne to the champagne bar, We had a really good experience thanks for George who look after us. I just really recommend to visit champagne bar.

Attentive staff but doesn’t mean you’ll get your order served o time. Waited and waited, until they looked up and realised they still haven’t served me.

Nipped in to Searcys briefly for a cheeky drink before catching my train. I was greeted at the bar warmly and offered a seat nearby. I was served by the barman, I believe his name was George, who was polite and quick. It wasn’t a particularly busy day, but the drink was lovely. Always worth a pop in if you’re in the station with time to kill!

I’ve eaten lunch here several times and the food is very tasty. The service is a bit slow, so if you are tight on time and need to catch a train, it’s not ideal. The atmosphere is lovely. I also sat outside at the bar for bubbles before my train on numerous occasions. The wines are very enjoyable. Sadly the service is a coin toss. It was so bad once, the manager wouldn’t let me pay the bill. On the plus side, I recently had great service from Filipe.

We visit the restaurant on Friday evenings just for drinks and nibbles.When we sat in the bar area we waited 2 minute to come the bartender and give us a menu and let us know politely little delay for drinks because busy service,the place was really busy, we realized soon the bartender take care about the whole area taking orders and serving tables we were impressed the job his doing. We really liked our coctails and presentations, definitely coming back.. Before we left i asked the bartender name because i told him we coming back soon i hope he will work that day. Juan our waiter was fantastic! Very friendly, professionally and provided amazing service without being too much !

We approached this place and were asked if we wanted to sit at the bar. We said that would be fine as we only wanted drinks, no food. We sat at the bar with the last customers 2 dirty glasses, dirty meal dishes and meal receipt in front of us. 15 minutes later all of the aforementioned dirty and used crockery was still in front of us and several members of staff had totally ignored us sat there and never once asked us what we required. We decided we did not want to pay the extortionate prices that this place charges for such poor customer service so we left and went and had our Champagne elsewhere.

Girls weekend in London started with champagne at searcy’s, we were served by the super friendly Juan, he was extremely attentive. Juan made us feel very welcome - will definitely return even if it’s just for the jokes. Top waiter x

Perfect haven for a glass of champagne and a nice meal before jumping on the Eurostar. Great service, good menu and very tasty food, and the manager is an absolute dish too.

Great atmosphere, Juan our server was very professional and provided great recommendations. This is a great stop to treat yourself to some bubbles, We regularly stop here when we come into London, highly recommend.

. The truffle and parmesan chips were also delicious and made the perfect accompaniment. What really stood out was the 5-star service provided by Ada, a young lady who was both lovely and charming. She was attentive and added such a warm touch to our meal. Overall, Sarcys at St Pancras delivered on all fronts – great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional service. Highly recommended!”

Indulging service and Champagne 🍾

Had a lovely lunch here last week with my friend. We both had fish & chips, which was excellent. We also enjoyed a few cocktails too. Will definitely be back! Thank you! :-)

Disappointing - 2 skinny wet lattes extra hot and got 2 frothy, warm coffee’s ..which took a long time No salt in the grinder, had to ask for another one For the prices we expected better

Fun little stop when passing through St Pancras. I’ve not been in years. Servers are friendly and capable. While it’s a bit pricey it’s a fun venue if off for trip or even just passing through.

When I'm paying 20quid for a prawn cocktail, I'd expect the drinks order to arrive aswell....do better.

We've been here a few times before but this time we choose to visit to celebrate my Parents In law's 60th Wedding Anniversary as they'd come from New Zealand to celebrate with us. Well Searcys did not let us down. First of all we took a table in the champagne bar and had a lovely bottle of champagne served to us, in a nostalgic little booth that all four of us could enjoy, with a cute little button to heat the seats and another cute little button for champagne. We were able to watch the Eurostar train get ready for boarding and then leave the platform. After this we went into the Brasserie for dinner. The staff were wonderfully attentive and the meal was good (if I have one complaint my steak was very overcooked but the other mains we're good). We had a brilliant night all in all and it meant we created wonderfully memories with the setting and the experience. The cost was quite high, we spent £100+ per person. Would very much recommend a visit if you're in London.

September 23, 2024 St Pancras Station What a pleasant surprise this improbable restaurant in a train station. Very cozy atmosphere, very attentive and friendly service and tasty cuisine. The club sandwich with grilled chicken and basil mayonnaise was surprisingly balanced, the fries much better than those we ate during the weekend in London. Same satisfaction on the hamburger side. From now on it will be an obligatory stop while waiting for my train. Avoid coffee!

Everything is delicious. Hidden gem at St Pancras to enjoy a nice lunch! Sorbet is a must have. Highly recommended.

An aggressive manager I heard the waiter call him (Ali) lacking basic manners, has unfortunately diminished the quality of an otherwise pleasant venue. The poor hospitality is deplorable, I would not recommend it

I went in for lunch around 3pm. I was seated fairly quickly, given menus, and immediately ordered a cocktail and water. The drinks came, but 25 minutes went by and no one offered to even look at me. By then I needed to get food before my train left so I called someone over and asked for the bill. The server said, "Oh, you're not having lunch?" No. Because I sat here for 25 minutes with no attention. The place wasn't busy. There were more servers than customers. I should have asked them to comp my overpriced cocktail. Rather, they should have offered.

Having wanted to visit after having been recommended by friends, we were pleased to be in London recently and took the opportunity to visit Searcys at St Pancras. Having been warmly welcomed initially by Tatiana and shown to our booth on the concourse, we were then professionally served lunch by Danilo. The whole experience at Searcys St Pancras was hugely impressive and we are looking forward to returning again on our next trip from Scotland.

The service was super fast and friendly. The waitress was fast to take my order and her colleagues were fast to bring each of the items I ordered, yet still, at a perfect timing to not rush me. The food was absolutely delicious, I wasn't expecting it, after all, it's a restaurant at a train station, but I was so wrong, I enjoyed my three courses meal very much. Another unexpected, yet delightful surprise was the sparkling wine. Definitely tasting great. The fact that a 3 courses meal is only 29£ is a plus. I definitely recommend this place.

Amazing setting for a wine bar in the heart of St Pancras station. Had a glass of the Searcys English Sparkling (Greyfriars) which was excellent. It's not cheap but you wouldn't expect a nice bar to be, particularly in this location

Shared a bottle of Pol with friends on a return from Brussels. Perfection, Juan looked after and entertained us. A great end to a trip.

We’ve been coming here for 10 years, mainly as a brief stopover for a glass of bubbly on the way to the airport. We decided to make a journey specifically to enjoy the food and drink and ambience. We weren’t disappointed. Service is 5 star as in the food and the drink. A big treat for us. Thank you to all the staff that made us feel so welcome.

I absolutely love and rate this place as one of the best restaurants in London, for a reasonable price you receive excellent service from impeccable staff that ooze professionalism, this is the only restaurant ever where the coffee is that good I take it black, this place has become my number one must whilst arriving in and leaving London!

Perfect restaurant ! Everything was super super super good, I had the spinach and ricotta tortellinis as well as the matcha and rasberry tart and it was delicious !!! I was served by Juan and he was very kind !

We had 2 hours to wait in St Pancras so we decided to go and dine at Searcy’s. Time flew by as we were served a delicious meal by the very nice Juan (who bent over backwards to ensure we had a great time). I highly recommend !

The restaurant was quite nice, the atmosphere was awesome outside and cozy inside. The burger was delicious, and I recommend tasting it. Each piece was delicious, from the tomatoes to the steak... it was one of the best burgers I ever tasted. The service is quite good with serious and kind servers, mine were Juan and Maria. I recommend this restaurant, it is not cheap but it was really worth it.

We had just enough time for a quick drink, so I can't comment on the food, but the pint was nice and the place was well kept. Staff were very friendly, especially Maria who served us.

Had the set menu. The starter was delicious and main was ok but could have been bigger. The Eton Mess was more cream than anything else. I'd say a bit lacking all round but enjoyed the catch-up with friends and the venue in King's Cross, St Pancras is great.

Great place for a bite and a bubbly at the heart of London!

My wife and I stopped off for lunch and a bottle before a recent trip. The food was great, service excellent and we enjoyed the layout of the restaurant itself. Only a timing issue stopped us from a return visit on our way home.

To be honest I haven’t tried the food here yet but the menu looks super inviting… Otherwise wines and champagne selection are incredible staff is always super nice. There is no way I’m coming to st pancreas without stopping here for a glass of Fizz.

Incredible service by bar manager, Lucas, over the weekend (Saturday 27th July) - it’s made me want to return already! Despite the champagne bar being packed, we turned up at midday without a reservation and were politely greeted to and given a booth beside the Eurostar by Lucas, who couldn’t have been anymore attentive and welcoming during our visit. The drinks we chose perfectly hit the spot and the entire experience couldn’t have started our Saturday off in a better way, despite being a very spontaneous visit. Huge shout out and kudos to Lucas, we’ll definitely be back again soon! :)

Food was very tasty and Juan was a great waiter

I had about 90 minutes to spare before my train and thought I'd indulge in a meal at Searcys since I'd always made a note to myself to go there. The cauliflower roast was delicious and very filling, the service was fast, the host (Heliane) was lovely and welcoming and the whole atmosphere was very calming, a stark difference from the rush around the platforms. I would definitely stop there again!

We enjoyed our champagne and a lovely meal. My friend started to choke on her food I ask the lady who was front of house for a glass of water but it didn’t arrive. My friend recovered . Our visit was on the 7th July about 2.30. We had a bottle of Ruiner champagne. We won’t be coming back which is unfortunate because it’s always a port of call on our London trips.

Drawn by the elegant ambiance and inviting atmosphere of Searcys at St. Pancras Station, I decided to stop by for a glass of wine and a cheese platter. This choice did not disappoint. From the moment I stepped inside, I was warmly greeted by the bartender and promptly attended to. The service was impeccable, setting the tone for a delightful experience. I must especially commend Jasmin, who went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Noticing I was alone, she thoughtfully suggested a refreshing glass of water with mint, even though I already had my wine. Her attentiveness and genuine care made a significant impression, and I was surprised to learn she was new. Jasmin’s professionalism and warmth certainly showed her experience. My intention was to relax and savor the moment while seated at the bar, and Searcys provided the perfect setting for this. Sitting there brought back fond memories of my first travel to St. Pancras ten years ago, when I first experienced the magic of the Eurostar journey from Paris. This time, however, I could truly appreciate the beauty and charm of the station, which I had previously missed. The combination of exquisite service, a delightful cheese platter, and a perfect glass of wine made for a memorable experience. The ambiance of Searcys, with its blend of elegance and comfort, created an ideal haven amidst the bustling station. My visit to Searcys at St. Pancras Station was more than just a break; it was a nostalgic journey back in time, filled with new, cherished memories. We visited for a friend's birthday. My friend wanted a particular wine glass and Heliane made this happen. She advised what size wine would fit this particular glass. She also informed other staff it was her birthday. Leo who was lovely came over with a birthday surprise and made our friend feel very valued and special. Thank you both for a great experience. Very difficult to recommend. Three of us dined here recently and the service fell a long way short of expectations. We each ordered a starter and a main course, along with a bottle of wine. I and one of my companions explicitly asked whether a croque monsieur or madame came with chips (at £17 or £19 respectively), and were told in no uncertain terms that yes, they did. Our starters arrived in good time, and were fine, but we then waited for around 40 minutes for our main courses. We were less than delighted to have them put in front of us sans-chip, and when we asked, were dismissively told that the other waiter was new, and that they don't actually come with them. This was followed by one of the sandwiches being served cold - when we asked for a replacement, it was whisked away only for the same sandwich to be returned 15 minutes later, having been re-heated. The waiter didn't seem to understand why this might be considered less than optimal. My companion spoke with the manager about this, and we were offered a glass of fizz as an apology - before being unceremoniously handed the bill with service removed, but the Prosecco included as a charged item! In short - if you'd like to visit a restaurant where it feels like you're inconveniencing the staff, I'd recommend crossing the platform and taking the Eurostar to Paris; the waitstaff may treat you like rosbifs, but the food will be leagues ahead.

As a regular visitor we are disappointed to find the delicious Popcorn Chicken removed from the menu.! Visit at least twice a month! This visit was breakfast which was fine but called in later for dinner but left as taken from the menu and no other small bite on the menu took our fancy. Will have to find a new haunt now! In conclusion, Searcys Brasserie at London St Pancras offers excellent food, impeccable service, and a delightful ambiance. It is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a top-notch dining experience. Highly recommended!

We visited in the morning for breakfast and the restaurant was empty. Such a shame as it’s such a lovely place. Would love to visit again, maybe for lunch. The service was good. Food was nice. Lovely place to just relax after a day in London or before starting a day in London.

We were served a special glass of Champagne by Juan the day before our daughters wedding. He sensed it was an important day for us and made it special.

What a fabulous lunch again - I just love this place and keep coming back Great food - love that we can choose to eat in the Brasserie or Champagne Bar Great location - there is such a such a buzz around St Pancras Lots of different people and their reasons for being there make it interesting and fun people watching, as well as what's going on in the actual Eurostar terminal My Searcy's membership also meant birthday treats for me, thank you Most of all absolutely excellent customer service - this time from Fabio and Lukasa We will be back and highly recommend a visit to anybody who hasn't been (it's more than just a nice restaurant in a big London station)

Poor. Sat and waited for a waitor (no pun intended). Gave up. Went and asked for 2 glasses of £20 fizz. Waited again. Nearly gave up. Fizz arrived eventually. Grumpy waiter looking very scruffy with his shirt unbuckled. Asked to pay. Given machine to tap and go without seeing bill. Mistake! Overcharged by £3 per glass AND 13.5% service charge for them to do nothing! Nice fizz as always but watch your bill!!!

So so disappointed. We’ve been here loads of times and always been so excited to go. The Club Sandwich used to be amazing…..it’s now called a ‘club’ but isn’t…..no 3 layers. No chips with it. It’s just a sad chicken salad sandwich.

Just had a Breakfast here for the First time while I wait for my Train and it was a Treat. Everything beautifully cooked . Mario Was my waiter and the Gentleman was top class and nothing was too much for him. Being in the industry myself for 25 years I love to acknowledge great workers such as himself. Booked 8.30 pm got a call while traveling to say last orders for the kitchen is 8.45? Arrived ordered all rushed didn’t realise bar closed 9.00 pm so no second drink? What a waste of time and money …. There shouldn’t be an 8.30 option No time to relax or enjoy anything. Poor! C

This is not cheap (£60 for two glasses), but if you're coming to London on a special trip, do this before you get the train home. It's a really nice relaxing and fancy-feeling experience in St Pancras station.
