went for a jazz gig upstairs which was delightful! managed to get a lovely affordable rum & coke from the bar and a delicious platter from Seami's kitchen ! my friends got mushroom fritters and plantain which also looked amazing. generous portions; but we still demolished it too quickly to be able to take a picture :,) highly recommend and will be coming back!

What an amazing place and community. Best Caribbean cuisine I've had and it's Vegan (Ital)! It was a jam night with every instrument playing that you could imagine complemented by singers and poets Will be recommending to all, it's a must go!!

Lovely food but had to remind the staff about our order multiple times and out of three dishes and three drinks only one dish and one drink arrived after 45 minutes. There was only one other customer in the space so I don't know why so much was lost.

The amount I love this place cannot be quantified - no matter where I'm living I'll always find my way back here

Love the Ambience of Map.l visit there a couple of days ago The Vegan foof platter was really good and excellent meal in fact .l recommend Seami kitchen to anyone who live Vegan food or what tor try a new experience .Both Chris and the chef there are cool vibrant characters. The studio is great. Good instruments, great sound, friendly & knowledgeable engineer. Good to have a bar. Lovely food even if the portion was a bit small 4 the price but the choice is good.

Cool place, used to drink my morning coffee there when I lived in the area. Visited recently and came to find the same atmosphere, service and quality, so this is a big plus in my book.

Lovely little bar with a small venue upstairs, they also typically have excellent French wine by the glass at affordable prices. I've not had their food but my friend assures me it's good. Nice vibe and hidden away in the backstreets.

Fantastic vegan food, great atmosphere

I have been to MAP before and the first time me and my partner went we had a great time with friendly staff and good service, a nice place to play some chess with wine and music. The second time we wanted to go I called in advance to find out about the opening timings, and by the time we got there they were closed before their closing time. The recent time, we arrived 45 before closing to play a game of chess and have some wine and the lady at the bar was extremely unwelcoming and hostile. She kept repeating the closing time to avoid hosting us and was extremely passive with the service and seemed annoyed that we wanted to stay. My partner and I were very angry and upset with the level or rudeness in her tone. I too work as a chef and can understand that Sunday's can be tiring and stressful for the staff and they wish to go home early, but she could have denied us service at the very beginning. We were rushed and constantly glared at so we leave early. Later we were standing outside to smoke, and were rudely told not to speak loudly (we were normally talking) in front of the cafe. Ps: I loved the vibe the first time and was looking forward to coming back for chess, but was very disappointed with the service.

I'm giving 5 stars because Edith has always cooked me a wonderful breakfast while employing terrific customer care. However I did have to wait a long time for my breakfast this morning as unfortunately Edith had been left without eggs to be able to cook for my breakfast. This is no reflection on her but if better prep had been done the night before it might have helped customers get served in a timely manner.

I really love this place! I've become a regular. Lovely lady Edith I think her name is(sorry if I'm wrong) always has a lovely gleaming smile and so friendly.

A wonderful mixture of cafe, venue , recording studio & so much more. All done with a lot of feeling .A wonderous place.

The older lady that works at the cafe was extremely rude and Unprofessional. She was very dismissive when we asked her about what was available to order. She seemed very aggressive and it was really a shock to the system. If you are a black Muslim I advise that you avoid this place, it is clear she didn’t want our service before we even spoke. It was very passive aggressive and it’s sad as I am a local and would have liked to try out a new cafe. I’ll take my custom elsewhere.

A very cute venue which feels like you've stepped back in time to the 70s. With friendly staff and a good selection of drinks this place was very nice and we felt quite at home.

Great English Breakfast. Overall great space to chill. The cook needs some help. She is lovely but they always have her working alone cooking and serving.

Hidden gem recording studio & music venue

This place is a real gem. If you know about MAP and it's history you will know what I'm saying. The staff are legends, the music is great and the community surrounding it can't be beaten. Oh yeh the coffee and food are amazing aswell!

Stopped here for breakfast and can't wait to return for one of their music nights. Super well priced cafe serving breakfast and lunch/dinner with some beers on tap that add fuel to their music nights. Downstairs is more a cafe vibe with outdoor seating on the street; upstairs a venue with a stage and sun soaked out door terrace.

Nice and quirky. It is Saturday morning and the cooks, two lovely ladies, I am guessing mother and daughter are having a small quarell about how to cook the food. It feels like home, nice background music, and the coffee, one of the best I have tasted, black, thick and creamy. It did make my Saturday 😊

Fui con mis hijos a una noche de cine y el personal de la cafetería nos dio una cálida bienvenida. El lugar tiene un ambiente agradable. Llegamos a la música tocada por un DJ, aprecié el vinilo y el DJ fue impresionante.Tomé unas copas que era bastante caro. Aunque la película se detuvo ocasionalmente durante la proyección de "Amenaza para la sociedad", un clásico por la forma en que esto no afectó a la noche. Aunque no está cerca de casa merece la pena la visita. Está a la vuelta de la esquina de Kentish Town, de fácil acceso, pero la proyección estaba en el primer piso, por lo que en términos de accesibilidad para personas con dificultades de movilidad, no creo que el lugar sea un ascensor.

Food good but seating for the music upstairs was seriously uncomfortable.

With new kitchen staff the food is really good now. We had sea bass, new boiled potatoes and very interesting salad. Freshly squeezed juice and baked desert, summoned with decent coffee and friendly service despite busy time of the day.
