Fabrique in Camden

Greeted with a frown. I was made to feel as though I were not welcome. Took cash out to pay before I ordered and was rushed to say what I wanted. When the "grinch" was handing me my coffee she said aggressively "WE ONLY TAKE CARDS"! I explained that u was sorry and its OK, I'll get my card from next door and she grabbed the coffee and said "JESUS". I left feeling extremely upset. The cashier should not be dealing with any customers in any capacity. ADVOID!!!

The whole rustic old style bakery decor and the enticing pastries truly draw you in. It is true that the pastries are quite good. My go to was the Saffron. "Was" being the key word because today was the last time. The sandwich pictured costs £9 for essentially two bites of a cheese toastie and what feels like a concrete reinforced salad leaf that sits in your stomach as you stare out the window at the next victim drawn to those damned pastries. It could of worked out so well. But its a gentrified low quality bakery thats overpriced and plays top 40 radio music loudly. There was potential for a quaint and wholesome rustic bakery here but its just shameful. The staff are nice anyhow, not their fault. Still, there's so many better sandwiches and lunch to be had on Goodge street.

Wish I had read the reviews of this particular fabrique bakery before visiting with my sisters. I wanted to take them to a nice bakery in London, and this came up as a suggestion, Disappointingly cold reception and service throughout our time here, buns were nice but it doesn’t make up for feeling unwelcome.. there’s so much choice around central London, if atmosphere and service matter then you’re better off going somewhere else. Wish we had walked out, not what you expect when you go for a day out.. Such a shame!

Being a Dane with a deep appreciation for pastries, I can wholeheartedly declare that Fabrique's cardamom bun was nothing short of perfection. From the moment I took the first bite, it was evident that every aspect was meticulously crafted. The dough was light and airy, the cardamom flavour was exquisite, and the overall balance was spot-on. As someone born and bred on pastries, I relished devouring every moment of this culinary experience. The aroma alone was enough to transport me back to the bakeries of Copenhagen. The attention to detail at Fabrique truly shines through in their cardamom bun. It was a delightful treat that not only met but exceeded my expectations! 🥐

Their cardamom buns dave decreased considerably in size in the past month. The price stays the same £4.25 which is quite high for a tiny bun.

Excellent cardamom bun and coffee!

The food probably deserves more than a 3 star but for what was essentially a cheese toastie, latte and a cardomon bun £17.05 was extreme. If we are reviewing the business overall then a 3 star is probably right due to the exaggerated prices. The cheese toastie was delicious though. Would I go back..? Not at those prices.

My favourite sourdough in London

Mediocre buns and simply bad coffee. Tried all bun flavors and none of them were particularly special, not to mention that all of them were pretty stale even though I picked them up in the morning. The area has so many other bakeries that offer better products.

Enjoyed a decent coffee and quick bite here. Able to sit outside on quiet side street which was a bonus, I thought.

Abbiamo fatto colazione in questa carinissima bakery incontrata per caso vicino la stazione di Tottenham court road. La vetrina era veramente piena e varia e la ragazza che ci ha servito è stata molto gentile. I dolci e i cappuccini ci sono piaciuti molto. Abbiamo speso circa 15£ che per il prodotto offerto e la posizione ha un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Assolutamente consigliato

This is more a shop that sells stuff baked outside the premises than a bakery, for example they won’t cut the bread for you. The French name lured me here, but pastries and baguette’s prices are sky high (if you’re French, brave yourself for £4.20 = 5€ baguette!!!). The cinnamon buns are cool.

Fabrique cardamom bun in New York taste warmer, more fresh soft and better in so many ways. We found the ones in London very average, not warm , little too sweet and a bit hard. Disappointed.

Excellent coffees and cinnamon buns. We have been to Goodge Street and Geffrye Street, both very good. Geffrye Street a bit more informal.

We love this place in the morning before work, the bakery has a really cool decor, it is really cozy and the buns are excellent. The ones we go for: vanilla and cardamon. The cardamon is my favorite! Highly recommend it.

Great service, coffee and tea were great as well. The Cinnamon Bun had a tad too much cardamom in it for me. (the last time it was perfect though) my wife liked it this way.

Bit pricey and small, but soooo tasty!!!

Surly staff on both my visits to the Fitzrovia branch. They make Sullen an art form and are utterly disinterested in their product. I wanted to know about the different types of sourdough on offer but was treated to monosyllabic bored utterances. The bread is so so. What a pity as you could do so much better with engaged polite staff.

Love their cinnamon buns and the coffee is not bad either. Sat in for a bit on my way to an appointment nearby - liked the cosy vibes and there was plenty of space mid-afternoon.

Terrible coffee shop, very expensive and bad service. They sell drinks to consume inside and no toilets for customers. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Lovely little place to stop for a coffee (or cappuccino, in my case) and a pastry. The cardamom bun was delicious, I wish I had come earlier to try one of the cinnamon buns other reviews are raving about! They must be good since they only had two types of pastry left overall 😊

So delicious! We went there on Saturday and had a cardamom bun and a vanilla bun-both so good. We also had coffee and the place is very cute but gets busy quickly! The lady was so lovely and friendly too which is also a bonus. Will be back!

Cinnamon & cardoman buns here reliably delicious. But yesterday was served a really bad flat white - it seemed to have been half filled with boiling water. They gave me a replacement which was only slightly better. Service very offhand. Really disappointed in what used to be my favourite spot for coffee and a bun.

Used to be a favourite of mine, but standards seem to have gone down. Stopped by today and while the cardamom buns were as good as ever, the service was poor. We were served a very sub-standard flat white and the woman behind the counter was very standoffish and inattentive- far more interested in chatting to her friends who were camped out there eating the leftover pastries. Hope it's better next time :/

We stopped for a spontaneous tea time. The hot chocolate was AMAZING. I don’t usually rate any shops or restaurants but it was, by far, the best hot chocolate I have ever tasted. The 4£ are worth it !

Bought two cinnamon roles to takeaway. The cinnamon flavour was mainly on the outside which was tasty but inside the actual bun there was not much flavour.

Lovely little bakery that offers some amazing cardamom buns! Try to visit before lunch time as the place tend to get crowded and things sell out quickly.

If you like baked goodies, their cinnamon Bun is a must try. Typical Swedish treat. Their coffee is also good.

We found good cinnamon buns, coffee in compostable cups, and staff amenable to passing hungry cyclists. We'll be back.

High quality bread. The sourdough bread or levain is triple risen with big bubbles inside and crunch on the outside. Freezes very well. They also do saffron with cardamom buns and cinnamon buns. Their croissants are absolutely lovely but very unfortunately they stop making them in summer and the reason for that is that the bakery is very hot. Bizarre! I asked how other bakeries are managing then? Around Christmas, they make amazing almond croissants with saffron, only available around Christmas. Crunchy from outside with saffron infused in the dough. As opposed to most almond croissants sold elsewhere, you can taste the almond rather than the sugar. Their coffee is smooth and their service is very pleasant.

Wonderful bread. Coffee is also first class and cinnamon rolls are very.very good. Small outlet, about five tables inside and four outside. Mostly for takeaways.

While Fabrique may look like a cute, small, local bakery shop, it is part of a larger Swedish chain with six locations in London and sixteen in Stockholm. What is warm and friendly is the service - non rushed, conversational but efficient. My experience with Fabrique is that they are masters of rolled baked goods - cinnamon rolls, cardamom rolls and saffron rolls. The prices are in line with the area (£3 for a cinnamon roll) and the portions are on the smaller side. If you are in the area and looking for some memorable baked good walk down Goodge Street and Warren Street, you will find some outstanding Swedish and French bakery shops.

I bought a Croissant from this place; it was absolutely delicious as I had it with Bonne Maman jam. I am looking to tasting other bakeries they have to offer.

Cute small place, everything looked nice. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and honestly it was for me a 5/10. Then I ordered a coconut milk latte and the coffee is also a 5/10 for me unfortunately. However I haven’t tried their famous cinnamon buns yet. I have had the best of the best bread and coffee in Portugal, Italy, etc as well as always scouting good places on London. Bread here was subpar as well.

Fabrique is one of my favorite bakeries in London. Today I tried their saffron bun. It is really good and is not overpoweringly sweet. It goes really well with peppermint tea <3

Absolutely amazing bread. Pricey but delicious. Some of the staff members are really friendly and helpful, some others are borderline rude and not customer orientated.

I’ve only used the place to pick up bread. The staff are always super friendly and the bread is the softest and most delicious bread I’ve ever tasted...I tell you now and I’ve eaten a lot of bread!

Delicious cardamom buns, service was straightforward. Sitting area is a bit small but better than that of similar places. There is some extra seating downstairs. Coffee was alright. One thing that was bad was the state of the toilet, didn’t look like they are regularly checked and cleaned by staff.

From the outside the place seemed lovely, like an old fashioned bakery with nice rustic bread and buns. Sadly it was very disappointing. The worst was the service, extremely rude and cold, with unnecessarily loud and inappropriate music which clearly didn't fit the place. Wont be returning.

I love this place. The coffee is good and the cakes are superb! Best cinnamon bun I've ever had....and that's saying something! Not too expensive either, although the drinks are on the small side compared to Costa etc.....

Cardamom rolls are amazing. Coffee is good. Staff is pretty poor and the top 40 music is a total vibe-killer. Jazz, or something more classy and chill would be much much better.

It's a shame that hygiene standards are so low here as the baked goods at least used to be delicious. In the last couple of visits all sweets on the counter were covered in flies. Also the stuff have been consistently bad on the Goodge str brunch. Such a shame :(

Good coffee and tasty Swedish pastries such as Kanellbullar (cinnamon roll), but a bit of an aloof attitude from barista which is quite typical of hipster places.

The cardamom buns are really great but there tends to be insects flying around the food and the staff are not so friendly.

Fantastic bread and buns and great sandwich too. One sandwich is enough to feed two people, if not more, and it was stuffed with salmon unlike in some places where it's mostly bread.

Stockholm's best bakery comes to London. Amazing bread, delicious sandwiches, and simply the best cinnamon buns you will ever eat, in my opinion anyway. And I've eaten cinnamon buns all over the world.
