Excellent food, great service and great atmosphere. The curry is great.

Third time at Thai Metro and I need to review again. The team are SO lovely here and the service is amazing. We got lots of delicious food to take away and it was such good value for money. Chicken Satay Spring Rolls Chicken Pad Thai Chicken Massaman Prawn special fried rice Prawns in garlic and chilli - grill Everything was 10/10 and we took the rest away, ate it in the evening at the pub and it genuinely tasted just as better if not more. Cant wait to go back!

Absolutely loved it here. Lovely people, atmosphere, people, service. But I'm not an expert on authentic Thai food so if you are, take this with a pinch of salt, ha ha.

Nice place but a bit overpriced. The surf and turf was more than £17 and the portion was super small. The Thai pad was ok, but we had much tastier and much generous portions before. Overall we spent £40 for two mains and it was not fullfilling.

The food was absolutely delicious!!!!!! We ordered the Tom Yum noodle soup, dumplings, Tom yum fried rice, green papaya salad, and pad thai. The service was outstanding, the staff was so accommodating and friendly. I can not recommend this place enough and I will 100% come back!

I am a reoccurring customer since 2015 and my go to was always drunken noodles, simply the best!! However, I went today for a takeaway and i was appalled with how much it has changed. Not sure if they have a new chef but it was tasteless; no flavour, no colour and they put less in the box!! It always used to be filled to the brim- i mean you would expect that if you’re paying £10.80 for it!! (It used to be £5.65) Chef; if you’re reading this, today your drunken noodles failed. Please don’t make this mistake again and go back to the original recipe.

Absolutely delicious Thai food at an affordable price. We spent £40 for two mains, a side and an appetiser to share. The portions were a good size and the customer service was really great. I would revisit again for this authentic food.

Me and my bestie went today for brunch ! I had kung pao which is spicy and i love it although my friend couldn’t handle it , I like it . She had Pad Thai which I am not big fan of until I tasted that one! It was paradise ! Every single bite was a joy ! Haven’t eaten such a good pad Thai never ! Although I liked the kung pao , I was in love with the pad Thai , and genuinely with this one ! I even thought I will ask for the recipe but I didn’t wanted to be rude . The service were on point too ! Cheap and tasty! Definitely will come back for more pad Thai .😀

Food is average Thai at best pricing above average and the service way below average. Waitress forgot the prefer. Twice

Wonderful Penang curry, attentive but not intrusive service.

The food is OK, reliable huge portions and perhaps good value for money. It is nicely spiced and tasty, I wouldn’t say it’s the most authentic you can find but great in the Charlotte Street area, although lots of restaurants but limited in terms of comfort food. I think the pineapple fried rice with duck is great and the chicken satay too, esp the peanut sauce.

HORRIBLE SERVICE AND TERRIBLE ATTITUDE . UPDATE We visited again and they blacklisted us. Apparently they disagree with the experience we had, saying they can reject any customers if they want. They literally want to take every single penny from us while not providing proper service. I guess she was his daughter 🙄 . I had to ask for bill twice, when the first (i guess thai) lady completely forgotten about it and serving other tables. And we asked her again for the bill and take off the service charge because of this, but she doesn’t even admits it. She was like “are you sure? Maybe I was too busy” It’s not even her first time being rude and asking for service charge.

Just amazing Thai restaurant for great lunch

Pleasant service, even though I heavily dislike their 10% service fee. The aubergine in my stir-fry was overcooked, and their sticky rice clearly wasn't fresh. The flavour of the meal was nice.

We stopped here for lunch having been to UCLH. It is on a very pretty street, with lots of other eating places around. The restaurant was very busy, and we could only get a table down stairs. The food we had was very good indeed, and very reasonably priced for London. We would certainly go back

Good value, speedy Thai food on Charlotte street. Good for a quick, satisfying bite to eat. Despite this it all felt slightly rushed...

A wonderful restaurant. I must have eaten here about 50 times and every single meal is incredible, and served so quickly. The owner and the staff are always fantastic and friendly, and the food is perfect and such great value. I couldn’t recommend more highly. The tofu pad si ew is particularly amazing. I will be back as much as I can!

AVOID, AVOID AVOID. Disgusting food and even more disgusting customer service from the manager and waiter. I suspect they are either racist to Arabs or completely incompetent at serving a basic noodle soup dish. I ordered the seafood soup. I was shocked that I only had 5 small pieces of fish and over half the plate was full of mushrooms and noodles! They have a separate mushroom soup so I wasn’t sure why my dish had more mushroom than fish. There was barely any sauce or seafood in a seafood soup! They are trying to undercut customers - the fact my friends ordered curry and had more sauce than my soup dish is shocking. I asked them to take it back as I could not eat it and the manager brought my plate back out after 5 minutes to shout at me saying I have to pay for it. He argued with me for 10 minutes not offering an alternative and just said that I will be paying for the soup even though 90% of the food was still in the plate. I’ve never been shouted at before and he kept cutting me off and didn’t listen to a word I said. He shoved the food in my face and accused me of eating most of the fish in a rude, loud and arrogant manner. I do not recommend this place as they seem to discriminated against, I was the only person there and was shouted at and treated horribly. AVOID at all costs as they are looking to argue with a certain type of customer. If you want basic decent food and service do not come here!

One of my friends favourite places in London, after a class at uni she’ll go and get a meal. I had the Thai iced tea (amazing) as well as the drunken noodles with tofu which was an huge portion for what I paid and had to take leftovers home with me ! Highly recommend !

Upon our table reservation, they immediately refused to serve us, which was highly disappointing and rude. I suspect there might have been an underlying racist element involved. Nevertheless, it was embarrassing and a complete waste of time. I strongly do not recommend this place.

Found this place on a whim, looked decent, but the food was so disappointing, we tried the Panang curry and literally the whole thing tasted like 110% concentrated peanut sauce, there was no balance of flavours whatsoever, we let the blonde waitress know and she just said idk then ran away 💀 also the waitstaff stare at you the whole time you eat, not a good vibe, this ain't it folks go elsewhere.

yesterday afternoon a friend of mine and I were passing through the street where this restaurant is located, we were wearing heels because we had a party in the evening and we had spare shoes, when it started raining heavily we decided to stop for a drink in the first place we saw thath was this restaurant, and we stopped first for a minute at the tables outside to change our shoes and then we thought about going in for a drink to avoid the rain, one of the restaurant workers saw us from the window, without even asking us if we wanted to go in, he started to close the curtain that sheltered the tables outside to get us wet from the heavy rain, it was a horrendous and rude action because he could have politely asked us not to stay there or if we were thinking of going in and having something, instead he made this action and together with another person in there started looking at us and laughing while they had left us under the rain. I also work in a restaurant and I have the same tents, if it rains hard and people find shelter there I would never think of doing such a horrendous action, what a shame!

Got the food after one and half hours. The status said "Driver at the restaurant", so I called them and they told me that the driver hasn't come yet. No way to call just-eat to complain about this either. bad experience.

Not authentic Thai food. Tom Yum soup with no kaffir lime, galangal or fish sauce. Strange. Had to add my own ingredients to make it edible.

Very subpar Thai food to cater to the taste of whites, ordered the Panang curry and it’s barely any spice. Don’t recommend if you’re looking for authentic Thai food but rather a bland version of the curries. So many seats in the restaurant yet they can’t let me sit somewhere more spacious. Had to squeeze next to a wall. As a southeast Asian I’m appalled by the level of service too. You’d think they’ll be more courteous. Avoid.

Sehr schönes kleines Thai Restaurant. Wir hatten ein Krapau (schön scharf) und einen roten Curry (wunderbar, definitiv selbst gemachte Currypaste) - alles natürlich auch vegetarisch. Tempura als Vorspeise. Alles sehr sehr lecker und auch preiswert.

I came here for something quick because I was intrigued by a mouthwatering portion of rice and curry served into a pineapple. All the dishes on the people's tables looked very tempting. I tried what I believe are one of the best noodles I have ever had in London:Drunken noodles with duck! A portion good also for two people. Amazing! Highly recommend it!

gang Penang curry tasted pretty amateur for a relatively expensive restaurant

Been coming here since 2012 and will never stop coming! It is the best Thai food ever. The curries are phenomenal and an added benefit is how cheap it is.

Food is average. They are not accepting of any customisations in food as the main guy at the counter (asian with specs) is extremely rude. He is humiliating and demeaning, and has no manners to interact with customers. Would recommend not going... try 'Greyhound Cafe' (5 minutes walking from Thai Metro) instead.

Pad thai was very nice. Kinda felt bad because the place was a bit empty, it deserves more clients. Big portions and good price.

Awsome! Just make a favor to yourself when in London: just go there and ask for the "dumplings" and the "pad thai"! It was the most delicious thai food that I've ever tried when I was in London and for sure, I will come back for more! It's a super relaxed restaurant that you can go easily for lunch or for dinner and you will be surprised with the flavours! enjoy!

I am major Thai food fan. Been visiting many Thai restaurants across the globe. However, I was surprised to experience and dine in a Thai restaurant with low hospitality. The customer service was poor and shocking. 3 of us were speechless with the reaction and attitude of the server (a guy) when we asked about certain food. A good customer service in any business goes a long way. Will not visit this place or suggest to anyone.

Would have given 0 stars but was not an option. Really rude staff and bad customer service. Food was average.

The food is good. Staff is terrible. They served us non-veg when we asked for veg. We then asked to remove the service charge, they refused - when it is discretionary. Won’t ever go again for the staff.

I am livid! I talked to the staff about my severe gluten allergy. One staff member says all the curries are gluten free. So I order the panang to-go. The girl that took my order chases me down the street and tells me that the panang is not gluten free. I go back and she says the red curry is, so I order that. I was so exhausted, I planned to eat this for lunch the next day. My schedule was insane and after walking over 7 miles the entire day, I come home past 11pm... tired and hungry to discover they have me panang!!!! I am highly allergic, like this would ruin my vacation, end me up in a hospital and cost thousands!!! I obviously can't eat this. The carelessness of not double-checking that they gave me the right order. Not communicating with the kitchen to make sure I am given a gluten-free order when it says it on the ticket. I am beyond upset. I can't eat this. 😫 If you have celiac... DO NOT eat here!

I wouldn’t say the food was Thai-rrific. For a Charlotte Street restaurant location, I guess I expected better. That said, it was ‘ok’. The service was pleasant though. We had a very watery Massaman Curry. I love a rich taste with this curry type and also a thicker sauce. This was very much the opposite. The pad Thai was also ‘ok’. It’s not expensive as such. We paid £29 for two dishes plus rice & a sparkling water.

I have always like Thai food, so any Thai restaurant is a good restaurant to me. This one taste good with pretty big portion. Worth the visit.

Affordable for location, the curry and coconut rice was AMAZING but the Rose wine was awful (there are plenty of ok tasting cheap wines out there.... No excuse) and the tempura vegetables were POOR.

Stopped in here for a business lunch. The food is quite authentic and well done. Prices are pretty typical for London Thai food. The service was good and friendly. I got the Thai salad with Chicken, it was really spicy, but I like that :)

Had dinner here on my own. Small, pleasant restaurant with a good menu of Thai classics. I had vegetable tempura (good), Tom Yam noodle soup with seafood (excellent), and a bottle of Singh beer (always good).

Thai Metro do an excellent value for money Thai Green curry. Service can be a bit abrupt, but then again, I hadn't booked.
