Easily the best Chicken Sambal in London. Creamy coconut rice. Perfect Pad Thai. Nailed the Laksa and Roti Canai as well. Lovely neighbourhood vibe, good fresh food cooked well, fully recommend.

Lovely warm atmosphere with great service including who I think might be the owner really looking after us. The menu has a lot of variety and options. Unfortunately the massuman curry (my favourite dish) was much too salty. It was very difficult to finish. But we still had a nice experience so I will come back and try other dishes.

Its got an £8.50 lunch special. But you'd probly pay twice that not to eat it. Just bad.

I went here before a show at the forum. The food was delicious and friendly service. I will be back again.

We did our headline show at the O2 forum tonight end wanted a quick bite before stage time. This place is small but inviting. The food… truly wow!! I had the BBQ ribs to start followed by the drunk noodles with chicken that had a really nice chilli kick and was cooked to perfection. I was very happy with my good selection. Excellent and reasonably sized portions. VERY tasty!

The soup is extremely salty and the pad Thai is far too oily. I used to order frequently from here, going to their restaurant as well, but considering this order, the quality of the food has done down a lot, I'm sorry to say.

I used to be a loyal patron, but I was quite disappointed when I paid £9 for a rice dish that only had 2 prawns. It felt like I could have easily prepared it at home for much less. I mentioned my concerns when I ordered 3 dishes, specifically asking for a decent amount of prawns, and I was assured they would meet my request. Unfortunately, they didn't follow through on their promise. My daughters and I used to frequent this place, but this experience has led us to reconsider our choice. I understand your concern, and I appreciate your apology for not meeting the expected standard in your prawn dishes. It's reassuring to know that your prawn dishes should include 4 king prawns, and it may have been an unintentional mistake. However, I won't email you to resolve this issue. I've experienced this problem multiple times, with the most recent occurrence just a few days ago when my daughter and I ordered the same dish, and the prawns were once again insufficient. While one mistake can be forgiven, a total of 5 incorrect dishes within a week suggests a recurring issue. We value our hard-earned money just as much as you do, and we hope for better experiences in the future. This experience has left us with no choice but to say, "NEVER AGAIN."

I placed an order for Thai cuisine, but what arrived was essentially Chinese dishes disguised as Thai. The Thai stir-fried chili basil chicken, which should be dry and minced, turned out to be a regular Chinese chicken dish drowning in a watery sauce. Similarly, the nasi goreng resembled basic fried rice rather than the authentic Thai version. Even the Thai green curry seemed more like Chinese green gravy. Even as Chinese food, it didn't meet expectations. This is incredibly frustrating; none of the dishes resembled Thai cuisine, which is what I paid for.

HOME DELIVERY Inconsistency They USED to have free delivery for over £15. Sadly, they've started using companies like DELIVEROO(awful) and Just Eat (quite good). These companies charge "service". Baan Thai app (terrible) makes financial mistakes, omits the house number in email delivery confirmations and ALSO asks if you would like to contribute up to 15% service charge which doesn't include the delivery company over which you have no choice. STAY AWAY FROM APP - use a browser instead. This is a great shame for such a wonderful restaurant. . I have started asking staff for reccomendations. You know - like asking a wine expert on what's best to go with what. They don't just say the special or the most expensive item. You chat with them (they're very friendly people) and you say the sorts of things you like or have had before and they will come up with some suggestions. Today's hot fresh home delivery included; Tom Ka soup. If you like tom yum but find it maybe just a touch too spicy - try Tom Ka. It's sort of milder and got coconut milk. Marvelous. Bangkok chicken. In a sort of batter. But, not the Chinese takeaway or fish n chip shop batter. It's sort of thinner and just seals in the juices and taste of the chicken. In a sauce with veggies and Zing, tang, flavour. But,at the same time not overpowering and leaving you feel well fed but not stuffed. EGG FRIED RICE - no flavour. It's like someone forgot some ingredients. Consistent results are very important. I've been visiting and getting takeaways for more than 2 years. And, if you think about it...... consistently reaching or exceeding your expectations is why you go back again and again. 2 years ago in summer I wrote - Thai salads Perfect for hot summer weather when you just want a light, well priced salad with that wonderful Thai zing. Maybe with a lemon tea. Perhaps share a kampung nasi goreng. I have had nasi goreng many times in Bali and Baan Thai's is equal in flavour. Slightly different in layout (Baan Thai doesn't serve Ayam pieces on the side) but then, Balinese Indonesian is different from Java Indonesian etc. .......prior reviews This is Thai and Malay food. So, all the idiots ordering or asking for HK, Guandong, or Szechuan dishes need to re-read the sign. I started with Tom Ka (Tom Yum with coconut milk). Very flavoursome. Kafir lime as well as lemongrass, very tasty white chicken meat, quartered button mushrooms cooked just long enough to absorb the flavours. Fish sauce (of course). Some people don't like the smell of fish sauce. I agree it can take a little getting used to. But, I promise you - this Tom ka with the fresh basil on top was well worth it. I followed with a green papaya salad:- mmmm that sweet, sour, hot, crunchy combination is just wonderful. Perfect for a warm day. Shredded carrot, Julienne papaya, bean sprouts, halved cherry tomatoes, fresh, crunchy roasted peanuts, green beans, some red chilli lettuce..... And the sauce!! Hot, tangy, juices, palm sugar all twirled together and demanding to be eaten. I paid just over £11 for those two items total. Not too busy at 2pm.... Couriers coming and going and a few seated customers. A really yummy lunch. Subsequent visit(s) I tried the nasi goreng. Strictly speaking this is an Indonesian dish. But, the Malaysian and Indonesian people originate from the same stock so it,a not surprising that some dishes (particularly rice dishes) are identical. Though, for me, the influence in Malaysia of Indian, Chinese and Thai cuisine has produced far more delicious variety. The Thai iced tea (without milk) is very fragrant and not too sweet. I am going to have to return many times, because everything I have tried so far is wonderful and delicious. Charming, courteous, pleasant staff (as one always finds with both Thai and Malay people). Six stars.

Did not update the tracker in the app, did not answer any of three calls, delivered at 8.45 one hour 5 mins after requested delivery time, declined order as this was for breaking fast during Ramadan. Not acceptable not to update the App or answer calls. Have requested a refund.

I order here quite frequently - pro tip: order via Google/foodhub and not deliveroo/ubereats as it is much cheaper. I really like the curries - order keaw wan and panaeng all the time. The pad Thai is Very good too!

We did not get what we ordered and paid for. We got plain rice instead of the rice dish we ordered and the beef randang was vegetable randang. We also missed a starter - we ordered spare ribs and got dumplings instead.

The roti was good but the curry was incredibly disappointing.

If you order the Tom yum soup, you will get one singular prawn when you select it. I ate that prawn as slowly as possible so sadly I won’t be ordering again because I didn’t know there was a world shortage with prawns.

A little bland this time. BBQ ribs too sweet and chewy, the squid and vegetables under-seasoned. The Sambal Udang a bit muddy in texture though the prawns were nice. More salt and spice needed throughout.

The food received was either too salty or over cooked from the tofu to the noodles. The drunken noodles was so salty I've had to cut it in with rice. The quality of the vegetables were on their way out. Would sadly not order again.

Visited this restaurant before a gig at the Forum music venue (100m away). Great choice of Singapore/Thai/Malaysia dishes at very good prices. Service was excellent throughout. Recommend!

Have been looking for a decent Thai food place since I moved here, and I think I finally found one! Truly delicious food. The ribs with chilli salt were tasty and spicy. The beef drunken noodles very tasty and hot! And the beef rendang was really tasty and literally fell apart. The whole meal very pleasant. And their delivery driver found my awkward address! All in all very successful and look forward to ordering from here again.

They phoned and asked if we’d like it early.we said yes!! It was delicious. The delivery man was lovely. Who could ask for more?

Mostly onion diner. Tons of onions here tons of onions there. Onion everywhere. Definitely it is not Thai food. Edible tho. I do eat onion.

All three dishes very poor. Phad Thai was horrible too much liquid. Prawns were slimy did not smell very fresh. Threw all three dishes in the bin.

員工親切。但食物不道地。 菜單上有日式/印尼料理。 印尼炒飯完全不及格。飯體過濕，味道也不像印尼炒飯，比較像是中式的炒飯。其中放了冷凍蔬菜，也有一點酸味，不管是把這道炒飯放在哪個國籍下，都是一個不及格的炒飯。 另外點的泰式炒河粉就還不錯，算是道地。 有點辣，小朋友會不太適合吃。

Absolutely superb. Loads of veg with lots of variety in both the drunken rice and the curry. Great flavours and it looked fantastic.

I've ordered on a few different occasion... I've had Priew Chicken, Bangkok Chicken, and also the Meal deal for 2 with Spring Rolls, Pad Thai Chicken & Prawn Crackers. Everything has always come correct. Hot, tasty & on time, I cannot fault it. Arguably the best thai I've ever had. Thanks Baan Thai. I will be forever a returning customer!

I appreciate it was really late and they were close to closing but the noodles and the black bean sauce were really poor quality. Both were really lacking in flavour and the black bean sauce was really runny

Aside from being really late and therefore cold. The tempura were wet and limp with browning salad in the box (why even bother). Beef penang (was not a proper penang) and rice dish were dire. Quality and taste were genuinely so bad I cant understand what the other reviewers are talking about. Poor excuse for Thai.

Our new favourite. So pleased it turned up just under an hour after ordering, rather than the predicted 1.10hrs minimum, but it would have been worth the wait. Authentic Thai food, arrived warm and tasty. Will be ordering again.

We've ordered takeaway before but stopped in to sample the restaurant and so glad we did. Great service, lovely staff really quick and top quality. Anytime it makes sense we'll be visiting rather than ordering out from now on as its perfect and so quick it makes sense prior to say, going to a gig at the forum. Great value and great food.

One of the best Thai/Malaysian restaurant this side of the river. The standard Thai curries are all brilliant and so are the Nasi gorengs. Good choice of starters too, with the salt and pepper chicken and papaya salad being our favourite. Really puzzled with some of the negative reviews... Stop moaning like a Karen/Boomer and support fantastic local business.

Kumpung Nasi Goreng and Vegetable Gyoza were absolutely fantastic. So flavourful and quick service. Would definitely recommend.

Friendly service, adequate but uninspiring food. Ordered a mix of dishes, a chicken green curry, a som tam (papaya salad), some morning glory, and a beef phad krapraw (stir fry with onion, beans, holy basil, and chilli). The som tam was passable - slivers of carrot and what could have been green papaya or something more generic, pops of fiery heat from chilli, and some green beans. The dressing felt a little watery, lacking both vibrancy of fresh lime and saltiness of fish sauce. The peanuts were few, whole, and a tad over-roasted. I would have preferred them to have been crushed, so they incorporated better into the salad, but that's a matter of preference. A better dressing would have fixed this dish. The morning glory was easily the best dish - thin slices of chilli and tonnes of oyster sauce gave a really savoury flavour. The green curry was an adequate attempt, but everything had room for improvement. The sauce was very sweet (which I don't particularly mind), with OK coconut flavour but minimal heat. Big chunks of vegetables were pretty disappointing, but the bamboo shoots were a worthwhile inclusion. The chicken itself had a disappointing texture, soft but with a slight bounce, likely the result of over-aggressive velveting. So much of Thai cooking is about balance, and this was another dish that failed in that regard - more heat and more fragrance along with less sweetness would have made a large improvement. The final dish was the beef phad krapraw and was the biggest let-down of them all. Typically this dish is a relatively dry stir fry with a base of garlic and chillies, small pieces of some protein, and then fistfuls of holy basil. It's also quite customary to serve this with an oil-basted fried egg. First off, no egg. That's fine, it wasn't mentioned on the menu. I think it's a shame not to include it, but so be it. Then for the dish. What I received was a dish of sliced beef (again with a bad texture from over-velveting), large chunks of bell peppers and onions, a few bits of chilli, all served in a pool of a generic, dark brown sauce. Very low heat level, everything looked pale, like their burners aren't powerful enough, again no fragrance from chilli and garlic, and worst of all, no holy basil in sight. That's simply too grave a fault to overlook. The service and price was all plenty good enough to make me consider returning, but the quality of the cooking was just not good enough. If you're unfussy and just want some palatable food, by all means go to Baan Thai, but if what you're really after is big Thai flavours and diligent cookery, maybe give it a miss.

Bland and 'meh'.... just another of the many restaurants on just eat who doesn't have a passionate chef or anyone with the mindset to at least try to make the best Thai food they can.. just business... (Thai people wouldn't eat this stuff, no way).
