Excellent location to visit the Candem neighborhood. Quiet place to eat real Italian pizza. We found this place after walking around the Candem market a lot and the truth is that it was a success. Great variety of craft beers and pleasant treatment from the waiters. You order first at the outside bar and then they place you inside to enjoy the food. An excellent place among all the commotion!
Arrived prior to concert at the Roundhouse to find it shut. Roller shutters down, no lights on.
Booking confirmed by email
Luckily got into Nando’s
Shocking to take bookings and not be open, or at least email us to say issue :-(
Our friend who has recently turned 50 was playing that night in the band and invited us for drinks and live music. The performance (5live acts) was superb and we had no problem to book table on the same day for a delightful dinner with one vegetarian and one chicken main course (okra was the star of the dishes and cooked superb) followed by really scrumptious desert. We paid £50 for 2 people with 2 alcoholic drinks. It was easy to find and parking on street after 7pm is not an issue.
The order took over 20 minutes to come and there was only 4 customers in the shop. Then when the food did arrive, one of the servers left one of my sisters desserts at the end of the table and failed to tell us that the pan was hot, leaving me to burn my hand trying to move it to my sister. Other than that, the desert was well done and tasted great.
Just tried the fried shrimps, they were lovely! Would like to try some of the other menu items next time we are at Spitalfields. They came with a dip and some really tasty samphire. Would defo recommend!
This is a functional cafe, it has no charm but the tea and cake were fine. They use paper cups with plastic tops which I was not impressed with. So I would not visit again until this has changed. Staff were grumpy.
