We recently visited the Royal Lancaster Hotel for an afternoon tea to celebrate our wedding anniversary with our young son.
The food was amazing and the staff were just as good.
We were more than happy with the selection of sandwiches and cakes (our son will eat almost anything), but we were still offered a number of alternatives if there was anything that he or we wouldn't like.
The venue was comfortable, welcoming and we were not at all rushed.
Overall a superb afternoon tea experience that we will certainly return to repeat in the future.
Best pizza I’ve had in London that didn’t cost a small fortune. We had notorious pig, the honey with the spice was bang on and the garlic dip was an excellent level of creamy without feeling either too healthy or too domino’s heartattack!
Move in this area like month ago, and try new pubs around, definitely will be this my spot I like the music, only it’s bit to laud it’s hard to talk, but otherwise amazing place perfect chill place

I’ve been going here a few times when working in the local area. The sushi is nice and fresh and good value too. I had the chicken katsu curry on my last visit which was really good
I haven't had much experience with Nepalese cuisine before so was very excited to try this restaurant.
For my main, I had the lamb rump with lentils. I was a bit apprehensive about this dish as I am not a huge fan of lentils whilst lamb is one of my favourite meat. I'm glad to say that the dish did not disappoint. My opinion of lentils have definitely changed for the better; it was incredibly flavourful and my only complaint is that there wasn't more of it! The lamb was, of course, beautiful - as expected.
Choosing a dessert was a struggle as they all sounded so good and so different from anything I've had before. I ended up going for the dark chocolate cremeux with guava curd and sorbet which was beautiful. The sorbet was so refreshing and light, and paired perfectly with the dark chocolate cremeux which had a much richer taste. There were some crunchy pieces in there that was delicious!
The ambience of the restaurant was also lovely. After having had a busy day in London in hot weather, the peaceful vibe of the restaurant was such a haven from the hustle and bustle of the city. Staff was polite and all looked gorgeous in their traditional clothes.
First thing first, torpedo toasted sandwiches. I have tried the dirty Greek (halloumi, lounza, loukaniko and I add bacon) with tomato and a touch of mayo 10/10. I have also eaten the chicken escalope with cheese, tomato and mayo. 10/10. This kitchen is spotless and the two young ladies who are running the show make the clients feel at home. I now visit Alex's twice a week.
